Tried this place because they had the $5 special om skip the dishes. The sizes of the two bowls are vastly different so consistency is poor. The amount in the bowl matches the price so it feels like they put less in to accomodate for the deal. The toppings were good. The tuna was good. Just wish they spread the sauce throughout instead of just the center. read more

It was 5:30 pm on holiday and there were a few people ordering before me. I went in thinking I wanted a pokeritto, but I decided to build a bowl instead. I ordered brown rice with shrimp and tuna. I could pick many mix-ins and toppings and then choose the sauce. The bowl was so good, but a little salty from the sauce. I would have preferred less sauce and it still would have been flavourful. I couldn't finish my food so I shared with my family member. There are so many options that I could eat it every day of the week for a different bowl! I took my bowl to go, but there was plenty of space to dine it and it was very clean and bright. The staff were friendly and great. read more

I have a new go-to place.....awesome! needed one. I really dug this place.....why? When I walked in it was sparkling clean, airy, bright and perfectly located downtown close to everything. Their menu is so creative and their ingredients are so fresh, and the options they give you...well...leave you excited to order. The service was friendly, attentive and professional...appreciating your business. I love Poke. I love Sushi. I love Salad Bars. I also love Burritos....I know...kinda off base with the Burrito. What these guys did was take Poke and Burritos and make little Pokkeritos .....Genius. Excited to go back and try their other dishes.....(Yes, I get excited about food.) :| read more

Whenever my partner and I want something quick and healthy, we somehow always end up at Pokerrito.. and somehow always order the same two things: aburi bowl and bulgogi bowl. Aburi bowl is my go-to. Aburi bowl comes with flame torched ahi, miso glaze, crab meat, lemon, sprouts, chili thread, furikake, green onions & crispy tempura. I love watching them torch my tuna and often ask to have it extra torched for that delicious flavor. Bulgogi bowl comes with marinated beef, sweet onion, cucumber, pineapple, sweet corn, crispy tempura, jalapeno, and teriyaki sauce. I believe it only comes in a regular bowl but it's filling nonetheless. I love the torched beef, the kick from the jalapeno, and the sweet pineapple flavor all in one bite. Recommend getting the app if you plan on visiting. You can collect points for $ off and may sometimes get free appetizers too! You can also get 20% off M-F for their happy hour special (3-5PM). read more

Vancouver has no shortage of poke options, but Pokerrito is one that I find myself returning to on a regular basis... especially since they do delivery on Foodora and Uber Eats now. It's a game changer for those rainy Vancouver nights when you're looking for a healthy alternative but not quite to the extent of trekking 20 minutes in the rain haha. I always build my own regular sized poke bowl ($11.95 for two proteins), and find the portion size and quality great for the price point. They have a wide variety of protein options, with premium offerings such as ahi tuna and sockeye salmon available at an extra cost. I love that they have spicy crab meat and spicy seaweed salad, and their sauces are the perfect complement - I highly recommend their 'umami' sauce for the perfect sweet, tangy finish to your bowl. Ambience wise, this location is brightly lit and spacious, so it'll continue to be one of my go-to spots for a post workout meal. Small note that as of Jan 2018, they've merged the crunch add-on category with the rest of the toppings, so if you want fried onions or mixed nuts on top of your five toppings now, it's an additional $0.50 each. read more

Solid poke place. It can be confusing when ordering though, you need to know you only get choice of 2 sides and 5 toppings. They should make that clear on the sneeze guard (not just on the menu overhead because no one is looking at that when picking toppings). Protein scoops can be of different choices! I didn't realize until after. Tamago didn't have any taste. Spicy seaweed salad is super spicy and delicious! Cheaper than Hooked next door so I chose to come to this one. read more

My boyfriend really likes poke, and I like poke burritos, but I like it with shrimp, scallops, tako, anything other than fish. I don't mind fish, I just really like shrimp and tako. As we are walking to go grab bubble tea at The Alley, we see this place, and decide to stop by and grab some food. We both tried the poke burritos, and we really liked it. I liked the toppings they had to offer, and the variety of sauces. The next day, we decided to go back again. This time, I had the kale noodles, and that was really good as well. I had a lot of restaurants on my list to try out in the area, but we were definitely satisfied at just eating here instead and saving money. read more

I've tried a few different poke places around town, and in the Seattle area as well, and the Pokerrito on Dunsmuir has always been, in my opinion, the best poke bowl around. So I was happy to see this new location open up on Hornby, a block from Robson Square. I passed it by a few months ago and there was a line up out the door; I made a mental note at the time to return, at an off-time when it wasn't so busy. That day was today. Today, being a Saturday, I was in the neighborhood around 1pm and passed this place by. There was no line at all, and in fact the restaurant was practically empty. I went inside to order a poke bowl, to take out. I was immediately impressed by how immaculate the place was. Like, you could eat off the floor, it was so clean. There were only two gals working behind the counter but they were efficient and knew their jobs and offerings well, easily answering all my questions about the various (and many!) options. There were a few new additions, including kale noodles and some sort of mango add-ins. Anyhow, the two women were helpful and worked well as a team. I ordered a regular (i.e., smaller size) bowl (there are only two sizes: regular and large), and the base was lettuce (as opposed to white or brown rice). Then I customized it with some proteins and various vegetables and sauces. As noted, there are a ton of choices. All are fresh. I'm happy to report that my bowl was as great as those I've gotten at Pokerrito's Dunsmuir location. And for the "regular" (i.e., small) size bowl, it still was generous enough a portion to provide for me 2.5 whole meals. One detail to note: they did raise their prices a month ago. The regular/small size bowl now costs $12.99. It's still a great deal, but it bears noting nonetheless. read more

Have been ordering the Diamond Head poke for the past few times that I've visited but today we tried the Aburi large which is with torched Ahi Tuna with miso glaze sauce and it was delicious. Got it with brown rice as the base, crabmeat, sprout (wish they would have added more) green onions &, furikake as garnish, crispy tempura for crunch and shredded chili for spice. Lemon on top to spruce out the freshness of all these flavors. We asked for their spicy sauce to give it a bit of added heat. Highly recommend this as it was a great option for an early dinner. read more

I've tried the poke bowl here twice now, and it was terrible both times. First time I ordered a custom bowl, and the second time I ordered the Diamond Head bowl. The spicy seaweed was too salty and slimy, the marinated tuna was way too sugary(made for our North American taste buds I guess), and the crab salad was too fishy. The tuna was still about 20% frozen. I love fish, but I feel like their salmon or tuna doesn't taste that good, and normally I wouldn't expect the best fish for a fast takeout place, but for the price they charge, this is really not good value for my money. I threw my second poke bowl into the trash unfortunately. I've tried two other poke places and they were both good so I will stick to those. 2 stars for the friendly staff and clean space. read more

Ok, ok, ok!!! Been here several times and it's been great! Don't take my word for it, just go!!! :P I tried their Hawaiian Classic a few times; it just tastes really good. I like how all the ingredients blend together with each mouthful and nothing is overpowering. Their Umami sauce is excellent too! It adds just the right amount of punch to their Poké bowls. I recently started choosing to make my own bowls and I actually prefer to customize it just the way I like it. No need to compromise on anything. I know what I want, do you? :) Atmosphere: 4.0/5 Busy on occasion! Small linups! Seating: 3/5 elbow room feels limited at times. Coffee: 0/5 Sorry, none here! Loyalty: 5/5 Hey, they appreciate your business ! :P Excellent food! Highly recommended! I'll be back. read more

I have an unhealthy obsession with poke. Whenever I crave it, I like to go to Pokerrito because the food is fresh, the service is quick, and I know I'll be full afterwards. TASTE: I typically order the regular poke bowl with brown and white rice, salmon and albacore tuna, all the mix-ins, umami and citrus ponzu sauce, crab meat and seaweed salad, and edamame, tamago, sprouts, masago, and sweet corn. While I can't speak to all the menu items, I can say that this particular combination is absolutely delicious. The sashimi is cold and fresh, perfectly contrasting the warm bed of rice. The sauces definitely elevate the poke without ever overwhelming the taste of the ingredients themselves. Don't forget to add sauces at the end either! The only issue I've ever had is with the rice, where it was not cooked well on two occasions (i.e. dry and clumpy). VALUE: Decent - A regular poke bowl is $11.95 and comes with 2 scoops of protein, along with white and/or brown rice, a choice of mix-ins, sauces, 2 sides, and 5 toppings. Since I'm a big eater, I always ask for more rice, which comes at no additional charge. Pokerrito also allows you to bring your own tupperware to save 10% and be more eco-friendly; however, you must eat your poke outside. I'd recommend doing this or eating in-store and requesting a reusable bowl. SERVICE: Despite the lunch rush, the staff are very quick and, for the most part, quite friendly. There is one female staff member in particular that has always provided me service with a smile. AMBIANCE: I like the white interior of the restaurant - it looks very modern and clean. The AC is also much appreciated, especially in the summer when the heat can affect the freshness of the sashimi. Although the restaurant itself is not that large, I have never had trouble finding a table because most people tend to grab and go. However, when there is a lunch rush, it may feel a bit crowded as the lineup is right next to the tables. read more

Pokerrito is my go-to poke restaurant. My friend introduced me to Pokerrito over a year ago, and it is a game-changer for those occasions when you just want quick and healthy meals downtown that won't tear a hole in your wallet. Not only do they have great set options, but you can also build your own poke bowl or burrito. I have always gone for the poke bowl or salads and have only ever had a great experience. The ingredients are fresh, there are many ingredients to choose from, and they always stack the bowls with excellent portions. I find myself consistently amazed at the portion I can get here at a really reasonable price. It was always an easy lunch option for me when I was studying in university, and now that I work downtown, it's a quick and easy meal for lunch or dinner. I always choose to build my own poke bowl with either rice or salad. Today, I got the poke salad bowl with two portions of salmon, cucumber, green onion, crab meat, tamago, masago, and sweet corn. I also always ask for extra umami sauce at the till. It was delicious as always! The only complaint I do have is that Pokerrito uses plastic containers even for customers who are eating in. I think it would be a great idea to have reusable bowls (after a wash) in the restaurant itself. Furthermore, sometimes the rice is too hard when it has been sitting too long. One last great thing about Pokerrito is that they offer 10% off for those who bring their own to-go containers which is their attempt at being environmentally responsible. I definitely recommend if you're looking for a fresh, healthy meal with a lot of bang for your buck! read more

I would give 5 stars if they didn't use plastic throw away bowls, cutlery and paper cups! It's daunting to think of how many people eat eat daily (lineups all the time), and how much waste is produced. Its terrible for the environment and we should really consider this especially being in a country who should care about it. On the other hand, their poke bowls are delicious, I obviously can't resist as I have eaten here more than a few times. I have gotten the sockeye salmon (.50 cents extra) and brown rice. All the sauces are great! It would really be nice if the dine in had an option for real bowls, not disposable. UPDATE: They now use stainless steel bowls! read more

Quite enjoyed my visit to Pokerrito. The staff were very friendly and fast. They had quite a big selection with options for protein, mixes, toppings, etc. They have a limit on how many you can choose but it's more than other poke places. I ended up getting a half salad and half brown rice bowl with tuna and salmon, ponzu sauce, and a bunch of toppings. It was fairly heavy and I could not finish the entire thing. My friend ended up making his own burrito which looked very good, not having too much rice on it either. I can't wait to come back and try some of their set menu selections. read more

Hooray! After walking past this store which was under construction for awhile, I'm so happy that I stopped by for a visit at this location for their soft opening. Apparently their official opening might be this Saturday for Canada Day. A lovely spacious spot. Just like their Dunsmuir location, there isn't much seating but I have to say that their portions were good, service was top notch and quality of the salmon wasn't bad. They didn't skimp on the toppings which was nice. Only nitpick I have was that the salad bowl indicated romaine lettuce but I pretty much got just iceberg lettuce. There wasn't any other option for a different type. Prices are on par with the rest of the poke places at about $15 for 3 scoops. I will definitely be a frequent customer as its on my route home and hopefully they open on weekends as there isn't much around the area for good food. read more

Ordered off of an app and instead of the Diamond Head bowl they sent a wrap. I contacted Pokerrito and Samuel helped me, he apologized and understood that when you order food you expect it to arrive correctly. He told me the next time I go into the restaurant to call him and he will get me a free bowl. I went back to the restaurant the following week and Hannah greeted me with a large warm smile then prepared a large Diamond head bowl (their best one) and sent me on my way. Absolutely wonderful experience and I will definitely return, not just because the food is so great but because of how they treat their customers. HIGHLY recommend. Ps. anyone that says the bowl is expensive is broke, will most likely think everything they see is expensive and/or doesn't understand ingredients. These bowls are packed with fresh seafood, fresh veggies, (some of which are expensive in nature), brown rice, etc and the portions/ quality are much greater than the price. Many reviews I have read sound like people that just like to complain. read more

I think this location has just opened as many of their offerings do not seem to be available yet, so I "built" my own combination. I ordered a regular sized bowl (11.40). I got brown rice, regular salmon and scallops (both super fresh), chose my 5 toppings (pineapple, sweet corn, grape tomatoes, tamato, seaweed salad; the seaweed salad had a terrific sesame flavouring!), choose crab meat for my side (not too artificially creamy), and topped it off with their sweet signature sauce, and fish flakes. Overall, this reminded me a lot of a super duper fancy loaded salad. It was very tasty and surprisingly filling without bloating you, but for 11.40, it's quite steep. If you're wanting to treat yourself once in awhile, would definitely recommend! read more

Fresh bowls of goodness. I go to or order from Pokerito at least once a month. I love how fresh and tasty the food is. You can choose between the burrito, which is basically like a big sushi roll that you eat like a wrap, or a bowl. I went through a phase when I only ordered the burrito. A word of advice if you are very hungry, the large one is awkward to eat. They cram a lot in there (not complaining) and it ends up falling apart half of the time as you eat it so you have to finish it with chopsticks. I always order the bowl now. You can either get a bowl from their menu or make your own. I like building my own as I'd rather pick my toppings myself for the same price. My favourites are the spicy tuna and the octopus with the wasabi basil sauce. Make sure to ask for the crispy onions, they really add something to the dish. I usually end up asking for free extra sauce at the end as it enhances the flavours. If you're planning on eating there, make sure it's the first thing you tell them so they can give you a washable bowl instead of wasting a plastic one. It's a pay at the counter restaurant. The staff is usually friendly, although I've had cold awkward service a couple of times. read more

Pokerrito is one of my favorite places to go for healthy and delicious poke bowls. I am really obsessed with eating healthy...and on some occasions not to eat at all! Anyway this place is quick and has the works meaning it's filling, has a fair price and good to go. I enjoy the pokerrito concept of a burrito but I still prefer the old school way of just eating my food in a bowl because I tried the burrito and it kind of came apart. If you like spicy they have it here as well. It's fresh and made well. I like to pick my own ingredients. Good luck trying to find a spot to sit for lunch! read more

Came here with a coworker during prime lunch hours, the line moved super quickly! They're very efficient, so don't worry about the wait time haha. I built my own poke bowl, and it's nice to see how clearly they lay out what you can have from each category. Definitely expedited my decision making process haha. Note that the price displayed is the base price, and that some items have an additional charge (ie ahi tuna, sockeye salmon, mango, avocado...etc). As long as you keep that in mind, the price is fairly decent. If you go overboard, you may end up with a heftier price tag than expected. The flavours itself are fresh, and the fish is void of that "fishy" seafood smell that some sashimi/raw fish can have. The sauces lend a light flavour, and the portion size is perfect. If you're looking for fresh, delicious poke around the $13 mark, this is your place. read more

Alright poke bowl place. Wasn't blown away nor disappointed by the options and quality. It's the first one I've seen with lettuce as an option, which threw me off a bit. I don't think it's a good complement to poke, but others seemed to like it. It's an option, anyhow. Slightly confusing that crunchy sprinkles like the sesame seeds or furikake are bundled into the same list as the toppings (max 5), but presented sort of separately. I ran out of toppings before I got there, but really wanted them. They have a deal to bring in your own bowl for 10% off, which is really awesome. read more

This is the second location of Pokerrito. As I expected, it was reallly busy for lunch time with a long line up but don't ever let that stop you from going in. The line goes really fast as the staff work very efficiently. Their management system is really good. Each station has one person so they make less mistakes and the line moves along pretty fast. I had Hanauma with Salmon, Green onion, Sweet onion, Cucumber, Lettuce, Seaweed salad, Crabmeat, Masago, Edamame, Ginger, Radish sprout, Furikake and Creamy Mayo. I added extra spicy seaweed salad on the side tho. I ordered two scoops but there were a lot of salmon and they were of course fresh and delicious. This place never disappoints me! read more

This is right next to another poke place and gets really busy during lunch time. There are quite a few seats if you wanna dine in. Their prices are great and food tastes fresh. After having been impressed by the location on Dunsmuir, I was delighted to have seen this place near my hotel during a biz trip. Although Hanauma is my favorite, had to try their new menu items, Secret Beach (not to be confused with b%$^ch ;)) and Hawaiian Classic, and Diamond Head, which supposedly is there best seller. First off in the order in which I consumed, Hawaiian Classic: Fresh poke done very close to the traditional way in Hawaii but with their own little twist, a little more bland (I like it this way so I can taste the fish and all other fresh ingredients), and fish was cut correctly without looking like someone ripped apart pieces of paper, very generous portions and with added Avocado, a perfect meal for a starving working man, training for his first ultra run 50K! Second, Secret Beach. I love sashimi and this signature bowl was like a specialized sashimi dish with picked veggies and cured salmon, no spice except I asked for a few pieces of jalapeno. This actually has become my favorite, but for those expecting the flavorful poke bowl, this is not the one to go for. But for purists (I know I know being bigheaded here..), highly recommend! Last but not the least, Diamond Head. Full of flavors and spicy. I can see why this is their best seller with all the flavorful protein and toppings. For me a little too much sauce, so probably will subout the marinated spicy tuna with plain salmon. They do have a reusable bowl now for those who dine-in, and highly commend their efforts in trying to be more environmentally friendly. Reusable forks were available as well for dine-ins. Would love to come back again and this second location is another highly recommended spot! read more

Textbook poke. Staff was super fast and everything looked clean. The non premium protein options looked kinda sad. The price points are very competitive, so you get what you pay for in comparison to places like "The Poke Guy" (his proteins are all marinated but cost more). I built my own bowl and it was decent value, bowl is definitely filled up but good luck mixing it. read more

Love it here! My go to poke place in Vancouver. Although not the cheapest around, the portions are pretty good here and it'll fill you up. Pokerrito is a pretty busy place -- there seem to always be people coming in and out so I find that the ingredients they use are generally nice and fresh too. The service is awesome too. They're fast, efficient, and also pretty cheerful most of the time which is nice. As well, the Hornby location is quite spacious for a poke shop and is typically clean. read more
