Always order the build my own bowl (usually with salmon and tuna as the protein) for lunch, and it never disappoints! So delicious and fresh, and I always add all of the toppings that they have and it adds such a nice crunch to the bowl!

    Green Bowl....$18 after tax

I had the Green Bowl. It was ok. Tried the seaweed salad. for the last time. Not my thing. The branding is pretty. The prices not very competitive. Probably gonna go to the other Pokey place I liked more. That pretty much sums it up.

The red bowl with an extra scoop of scallops added. Delicious, fresh and hearty.

I had their Red Bowl with an extra scoop of chopped scallops added, and had half rice, half greens. I think it came to around $18 and I thought it was a fabulous deal, given the freshness of the ingredients, how tasty it was, and the volume of food you got. I'm not sure how they're making money on this. Anyway, I generally avoid these kind of spots because the seafood is usually so gross - but I was seriously IMPRESSED with the quality and flavour. If like me, you're leery of cheap sushi spots, I would give this place a try for a quick, affordable bite on a busy day.

A conveniently located poke place across the court/robson square. There are two tables and some bar seats so it's meant to be more of a takeout place or for a quick bite. At first glance I though their menu in the interior was a bit confusing since it's displayed with chalk and not the typical print. However it's quick to understand after that initial confusion. Ordered the green bowl and was happy with it. The only thing was that I found it slightly on the more salty side. Overall I give this place a 4.25 since it's good but it's not that different from the average poke place. Though their interior is quite cute with the original artwork.

    Large Poke Bowl, $17.25

I hate to say it but this was actually hands down the worst poke bowl I have ever had. The branding is quite incredible as is their photos, and that's how they reeled me in, but before I even stepped foot out the door with my takeout bowl, I was already feeling the regret of ever coming in. I ordered one large bowl which came out to be a little over $17 which already felt a bit steep. But for three tiny scoops of fish that had no flavor? That's what got me! I've never been to a poke place that has you pick your sauces and doesn't mix it with the fish. Is this a Vancouver thing? Additionally, the imitation crab smelled awfully fishy and a little off putting. Each topping individually wasn't necessarily terrible but overall the bowl was just flavorless, bland, and overpriced.

You put your right hand in, you put your right hand out. You put your right hand in and you stir the POKE about. You do the POKE OKEY and you put it in your mouth. That's what it's all about. First time trying poke and it tasted so fresh. This is a great picnic item! It travels well, easy to eat and aesthetically pleasing. Yellow bowl: spicy salmon, scallop salad, seaweed salad, pineapple salsa, purple cabbage, ramen egg, tempura flakes, seaweed flakes and Pokey Okey sauce Green bowl: tuna, salmon, capelin roe, seaweed salad, purple cabbage, soybeans, imitation crab, wasabi peas, seaweed flakes and wasabi mayo

Beautiful new location, they have a cool light mural and LED lights inside the store. Funky and energetic vibe. Red Bowl: Spicy tuna & salmon, fish roe, seaweed salad, kimchi radish, purple cabbage, fried onion, seaweed flakes, and spicy mayo sauce. My favourite part of this is the kimchi radish, as it adds an additional layer of flavour to the bowl. Yellow Bowl: Spicy salmon, scallop, ramen egg, seaweed salad, pineapples, corn, ramen egg, tempura flakes, and Pokey Okey sauce. I personally liked this more, since it comes with the egg (worth it!), and the sweetness from the fruit is a great addition to the bowl overall in terms of flavours. Milk Tea: bottled, on the sweet side. Pretty generous portions, and I opted for salad in both bowls.

It was quite late at night and I wanted something that I haven't had in a long time. I was walking around downtown on a weekday at 7 pm and I came across Pokey Okey. I got the green bowl. The regular bowl size is $14. They were very generous with the proteins. The bowl was very delicious. They do have a stamp card loyalty program in place. All the ingredients are made fresh. The bowl is prepared upon order. Friendly staffs.

We had it delivered and ordered -the Green bowl, and one -build your own I was extremely pleasantly surprised. Usually I find that seaweed salad can taste quite strong and be overbearing if prepared and stored incorrectly, however, the seaweed salad was good from this place! The texture can also sometimes be a turn off, but yet again, but their seaweed salad texture was good. Additionally, I love the fact that you can do half brown rice half salad. The sauces were great, they don't charge extra for crab meat, and the fish tasted fresh. Overall very happy! I think that the portions could be a *little bit* bigger, and that they maybe could have a wider selection/range of things/veggies to add (for example they didn't have ginger. That being said they did have really good kimchi that most other places don't have). Other that, I highly recommend !!

Finally visited this location! They were giving out free poke bowls for their grand opening and it was absolutely delicious! I tried the red bowl which had ample spicy tuna, spicy salmon, flying fish roe, seaweed salad, kimchi radish, purple cabbage, fried onion, seaweed flakes and spicy mayo sauce. It was really packed with ingredients and not a lot of rice, which I really appreciated!

This review is for the Richmond location across the Richmond City Hall Pokey Okey is an incredible addition to the poke game in Metro Vancouver. The choices are endless and the options are always fresh and available. The logo & interior are comfortable and pleasing to look at. Whenever I visit, the staff are super friendly and eager to help me with my order. I love coming to the Richmond location as it is a convenient spot to grab and go. Everytime I come, my craving for poke is satisfied. If you're craving fresh fish & delicious toppings, grab a Pokey Okey bowl!

Pokey Okey did not come to play when it offered free poke for its grand opening last weekend. Their signature bowls were executed flawlessly and their efficiency was a force to be reckoned with. My family and I were truly impressed by how much we enjoyed our experience. Pokey Okey's "fresh take" is certainly one that I will be back for again and again. FOOD Their signature bowls are carefully crafted to marry bold yet clean flavours in a visually stunning manner. We ordered the Yellow Bowl, Red Bowl, and Green Bowl (normally $12.25 each) in order to get the full poke experience and sample the freshness of the seafood. My Yellow Bowl was magnificent and far exceeded my expectations. Among its myriad of toppings, it came with marinated spicy salmon, plump scallops, tangy pineapple salsa and seaweed salad, crunchy tempura flakes, and an oozy ramen egg. Whether to add some zest, bite, and/or colour, each ingredient played an integral role in the bowl. I relished bite after bite. Likewise, the Red Bowl and Green Bowl wowed with their medley of texture and flavours, with my sister and mom raving about the crisp kimchi radish and crushed wasabi peas, respectively. Both of these ingredients could have easily masked the delicate flavour of the seafood, yet they somehow managed to complement it and catapult the poke to the next level. Suffice to say, Pokey Okey's poke was some of the best we've had. My only qualm was when I finished the bowl and wanted more.  SERVICE Drawing in a crowd during COVID sounds like a recipe for disaster; however, Pokey Okey had numerous precautions in place to ensure a quick and safe visit. As soon as we joined the line, we were given our own menu cards so that we could finalize our order before going in. A security guard also patrolled the line to enforce social distancing between parties. Once we got inside, a factory line of masked staff whipped up our meal behind plexiglass and we quickly left through a separate exit. From start to finish, the process took 15-20 minutes, which is astounding considering that it was a grand opening and for FREE POKE. All in all, Pokey Okey gets 5 stars and a hokey pokey from me because it truly delivered on exceptional taste, quality, and service. I can't wait to build my own bowl and (hopefully) dine in against the backdrop of their adorable mural.

The garlic shrimp dish is available on the weekend as the special, and was the main reason we stopped in. We ordered two of those ($16.95) plus $1 for lemonade. We also got da classic ($17.95) which has ahi tuna and salmon poke over a bed of rice. You order and pay up front, and pick up the food from the counter when your number is called. Everything was good. The ahi tuna was decent, the fresh vegetables were solid, with really good rice. The quantity wasn't huge, but would be sufficient for lunch. The garlic shrimp was really good, with corn, canned pineapple, and OK macaroni salad put together over medium grain rice. The master of flavor at this restaurant has the Hawaiian flavor down, and if we had time, I would try their Kalua Pork or their Loco Moco. Next time.

Today I came in to try their Maui ribs plate lunch…read more I got half rice, half very fresh salad greens, and instead of the scoop of corn, I got green onions. The mac salad was still perfect - not mushy, not too gloopy from too much mayo. The ribs were tasty, but the sauce was quite salty, so if you are on a salt restricted diet, this is not the dish for you. Also, I have to commend them for having decent rice - so many places have horrendous rice that I often find inedible. Other than the lack of chili pepper water, I'd say they do a decent job for a fast service Hawaiian plate lunch.

Compared to the locations on W 8th and Hornby, this location is more optimized for takeout; the seating is just stools at counters along the walls and for me the counter was awkwardly high compared to the height of the stool. It was also a little loud. If you're just getting takeout it doesn't make a difference because the food is consistent between all locations, but I would recommend the other location downtown (or the W 8th location if that's in range) for a more comfortable dine-in experience. I tried the Diamond Head pokerrito and subbed out the spicy tuna for the vegan tuna. It's still not a vegan meal if you do this because there are other seafood ingredients in the wrap, but I wanted to try the vegan tuna. It was delicious but very messy because the pokérrito is essentially a giant sushi roll and not sealed at the ends. You kind of have to keep it wrapped in the paper while you eat it but there's no graceful way to eat the ends. I really enjoyed the flavours of this even if I had to get my hands dirty though. The vegan tuna is pretty good. The texture is close enough to real tuna that I wouldn't have noticed it was different if I didn't know. I also got a tiramisu. When I ordered, the person making my order informed me that it was still frozen but it was still good frozen, like ice cream. So I decided that I'd try it and it was pretty good as a frozen dessert except the large ladyfingers at the bottom were slower to soften and hard to scoop out. The coffee soaked into the ladyfingers was pretty strong and the bitterness was a nice contrast with the mascarpone cream. Their prices are very reasonable. The tofu bowl that I ordered was fresh and tasty. I ordered with the kale noodle base, and they were really good (pretty stuck together at first, though), but I'm skeptical of the $2 upcharge.
