Aburi bowl (minus chili thread) love the crunch
    Gloria F.

Amazing Aburi Poke bowl This place does stand out from the others! The Aburi bowl is so tasty and fun to eat The combination of the aburi ahi, tempura crunch and rice was heavenly Some pieces of the tuna were torched while others were not. This adds so much dept to the flavor profiles. I normally stay away from any miso but this miso glaze works very well with the aburi bowl. The sprouts and lemon gave the bowl a refreshing note and just really cleansed my palate as I get ready for another bite I also loved the crab meat, it was blended into a pate style rather than loose dry pieces like other places I downloaded the Pokerrito App afterwards and got an offer for free miso soup for my next purchase within 7 days.

I loved going to Pokerrito when I worked downtown and visited them often. Since working from home, I've decided to visit the location nearest to me. I also typically get their bowls but realized I've never tried a pokerrito from pokerrito. A pretty bad choice to be honest. My pokerrito filling was spilling from the bottom so I had to hold the wrapper tight so nothing falls to the ground. When unraveling the top to take a bite, I realized my pokerrito was pretty much split in half. Whoever made my order did a horrible job in wrapping. I eventually ended up unwrapping into a bowl and eating them in chunks. What I also noticed while eating was there wasn't any sauce. I asked for creamy mayo and wasabi basil. I didn't taste any mayo nor wasabi. And... it gets worse, I got a stomachache not after eating this.

Pokerrito on Hornby Street was one of my regular lunch spots at my old job in Downtown so I was happy to learn that the Pokerrito on Market Crossing is only a 5 minute drive from my new home. Now that I am working from home remotely I decided to use my lunch break to order my custom Pokerrito bowl using their online ordering service. It was pretty easy to use and quick. A nice added touch was you can earn reward points with the online order but after you sign in the whole system reset and I had to punch in my whole order again. Pick up was quick and fast. I just had to step up to the cash register and my food was all packed and ready to go. I ordered a 2 protein bowl with spicy tuna and salmon with a half brown rice and salad base. The bowl was fresh, tasty, and I couldn't even finish it for lunch. For around $13.75 it's a pretty great deal! Will definitely be ordering again from this Pokerrito location!

Dont really change my order ever so there isn anything new to write BUT this time, the bowl was extremely salty...There was way too much liquid on the bottom and it was actually not too pleasant to eat. Again, they were very generous with toppings but I would highly recommend asking them for LESS sauce when they mix.

Wow a small place located at the market crossing Burnaby, amazing place line up is just unbelievable. It does not really click on me that Hawaiian foods appeals this much to so many people including my self. 2 way to place your order, select a dish or create your own bowl( medium or Large) i jokingly asked if they have double XL...the guy laughed...i chose to create my own combinations. 5 steps; #1Choose your protein -I had salmon, tuna, and cooked octopus #2Choose your mix in -I selected brown rice, lettuce, cucumber and cilantro #3Choose your side -I had spicy seaweed salad and mango #4Choose your sauce -Umami sauce i am actually not familiar with this one but the lady infront of me says its the best. #5Choose your toppings -I got edamame, jalopeno, and crispy tempura I surprised myself for a wonderful creation of my order,Tasted good and healthy.Fresh and the blending of flavor is just perfect. This gig also sell macaroons not sure if they are good...i did not order, i am not into sweets. The place can hold around 10 customer at one time, they have washroom. Because it was busy when we came..line up is really long the noise level is more than average, i do not see kids in here, well i gezz seldom to none will trade their burgers and fries with this meal. Interior design is simple ,huge posters of pokeritto bowls that actually adds on my hunger and actually made me confused on which one to order. Parking is free and hundreds of them shared with all the businesses around the area. This location is very very good because after eating you can stroll around and do your shopping, your grocery, and even vehicle maintainance. The pricing i may say is just about right.. Excellent service fast despite the line up. Good for people who watch every inch of their waist line, and to those whose work is nearby or within this area this is the best meal for them. Accept cash, credit and debit I highly recommend this place specially for the weight watchers.... I cant wait for my next visit 2 thumbs up

Recently, Pokérrito opened up a new location in the Marine Way area of Burnaby. While it's true that most poke places in the Vancouver area have very little resemblances with the poke places in Hawaii, it's probably unfair to compare the two. In Hawaii, the best poke spots focus mainly on the freshness of the seafood and the various marinades that they use to accompany them. At most, you'd enjoy the poke in Hawaii with some plain rice to really savour the flavours. In Hawaii, you'd rarely find all of various toppings that accompany "poke bowls" in Vancouver. Now, with all of that being said, there's nothing wrong with the poke bowls in Vancouver... especially if it gives the customer what they want. Pokérrito is one such establishment that allows you to either pick from a list of pre-selected bowls or you can go out-of-the-box and fully customize your bowl. On my first visit during their soft opening in mid-July, there was already a line up inside with hungry customers. I opted for their signature Aburi Bowl ($13.35 for regular size) with flame-seared ahi, miso glaze, green onions, imitation crab meat, lemon, sprouts, furikake, and crispy tempura bits. You have the option to have this served on a bed of brown rice, white rice, or salad and I thought it was pretty good (although I thought it could have used some more sauce). A couple of days later, I returned to try their Hanauma Bowl ($12.50 for regular size) on a bed of romaine lettuce, cilantro, and kale. Inside the bowl, you get salmon, seaweed salad, imitation crab meat, edamame, ginger, sprouts, masago, and furikake. Again, a very well put together bowl (but it's difficult to see the seafood underneath all of those toppings). The following week, I decided to branch out and try to customize my own bowl. This time I picked a Poke Salad with Kale Noodles. The regular size bowls lets you pick 2 proteins and I opted for the Marinated Ahi ($1.50 extra) and Salmon. For my mix-ins, I went with cucumbers, sweet onions, green onions, and cilantro. For my 2 sides, I opted for the avocado ($1 extra) and imitation crab and for my 5 toppings, I picked pineapple, corn, edamame, radish coins, and masago. Topped everything off with some of their signature umami sauce and I was good to go. All in, this bowl came out to $15.75 (think the kale noodles added $0.75 to the price). On a return visit, I got my Poke Salad to-go ($12.50 for regular size) and upgraded the 2 proteins to Sockeye Salmon (+$1) and Marinated Ahi (+$1.50), with mango and imitation crab as the 2 sides, along with edamame, corn, pineapple, and masago. Realizing that I actually like the option with their kale noodles, I decided to customize my own bowl and got another Poke Salad with Kale Noodles. This time, I settled on a large size with 3 proteins: spicy tuna, salmon, and octopus. To that, I added some more kale, crunchy cucumbers, sweet onions, green onions, cilantro, spicy seaweed, mango chunks and imitation crab. Then, topped it all off with some edamame, pineapple, radish coins, pineapple, corn, and crunchy onion bits. With all of these items in the bowl, it was a bit difficult to mix everything all up but I somehow managed to do that without spilling it all over myself. So, while this might not be like the true poke that you'd get in Hawaii, I do like the options that Pokérrito lets you choose from.

Interior layout is very similar with other store. AC is on blast which is needed for summer season.

Pokerrito never dissapoints me. Awesome delicious, create your own poke bowl or poke burrito to your liking. Priced really well. Always fresh, always great staff working. Only thing is, they need to improve their loyalty program. Their cash register cant read the barcode on my google pixel xl 2 phone most of the time. And I feel like I am holding the line - where it is actually their technical side that needs improvement. They do not take Amex (they do but you have to reload through the app) but takes pretty much everything else. Come on in while its still new in the area - no huge line up and before everyone knows Pokerrito is now in south burnaby! Tip: Bring your own bowl and get 10% off your order!

First time Pokerito. This wasn't the closest one to me but it was on my way. Oh man was it healthy and delicious! The service is a little slow but I think its bc of all the social distancing. The service was friendly and the store was following covid rules. There was room to eat but its a very small space. I would love to go back and try different bowls. If you're watching your intake you can a lettuce base instead of the rice. Next time I'll do half and half. Also, it's very filling! It's a must try!

Came here for take out couple of times during this pandemic. Usually get the regular bowl and today got a large bowl because I was sharing with my child. The large bowl is bigger in size compare to the regular bowl but the food portions were basically the same. This location compared to the downtown locations, do give smaller portions and very inconsistent.

Many positive things to say about this place! For one, they have an excellent selection of toppings to go with the proteins you choose. They recently introduced an aburi poke bowl which just takes the cake! I have yet to try it though, but I know I will like it already! They also have a point rewards system for everytime you make a purchase there. I love getting rewarded for spending all my money lol. Lastly, if you bring your own containers, not only are you reducing waste, you also get 10% off your order! Definitely a plus for me as an eco-conscious foodie. Quick comments about everything else: food is flavourful, service was decent, but I liked that one of them would personally go to the table and ask if everything was okay, and interior is nice and clean!

Great location! Great service ! Nice vibe and delicious food . Portion is very generous and the sashimi is very fresh. Definitely worth a try if you're craving for something healthy and filling !

Dear Diary...Jackpot! Huge portions, fresh toppings, friendly staff...only downside is it's hard to mix around because the bowl is so full. But really...that's not really a complaint LOL. I did the "make your own" with Albacore and Spicy Toons and I am thoroughly enjoying it.

Sockeye salmon and octopus poke. Build your own.

It's so convenient to just pop by and grab a poke bowl and pokerrito. I love how they have such a big selection of fish and toppings to choose from. I used to opt for the pokerrito, but they realllly stuff it and it's been getting really messy, so now I usually go for the regular poke bowl. My favourite combos are their crab meat, edamame, cherry tomatoes, corn, tomago, pineapple and seaweed salad. I especially love how the crab meat tastes (and texture is) exactly like the ones I get from my favourite sushi place. You can choose between brown, white rice, salad, or a mix for the base. However, you just get their kale salad (an extra 1.50?), it's absolutely delicious. Their portion sizes aren't bad either, depending on who makes it. Service is hit or miss! Depending on who works, you'll either get great, good or mid service. I'd say I get at least good service 75% of the time, which is pretty high considering I go pretty often! My only real complaint is that their prices keep going up, up, up (yes I understand inflation) but their portions have been around the same or even less.

We ordered off Ubereats for takeout and it took over 60 minutes for the food to be made and delivered. It was a longer wait than what we were used to. We couldn't wait to dig in but when we opened up the boxes, we discovered that the bowls had a dollop of spicy looking reddish sauce on top. The picture on the menu didn't show any red sauce and the menu description didn't indicate that there would be any spice. None of us could handle spice well (yes we're weak I know hehe) so we were definitely feeling a little worried. The worries then turned to the burning sensation in our mouths as we took the first few bites. The fish had a nice flame seared taste and it looked like to be a pretty generous portion. It was just too bad because we couldn't eat or finish our food. A bit sad. Hopefully they'll be able to provide more accurate or detailed descriptions and pictures of their items in the future! I'd love to try the Aburi poke bowl again (and without the spice)!

I was surprised at 5 pm for pick up, three drivers couldn't wait and had to cancel because the restaurant didn't have the food prepared until 5:20 ish. Even the last driver had to wait for them to prepare it. Not sure if it is because they were too busy. I ended up getting my food delivered at 5:55 pm. Anyways, I ordered two Poke Aburi Club Bowl. I found the rice a bit too hard. Not sure if I got the rice at the bottom of the rice bowl or if it is because they didn't cook it properly. The portion size was ok. I got to choose 4 different proteins. I find that if you choose 4 scoops of different proteins vs 2 scoops of ahi and 2 scoops of salmon, you end up getting more protein if you order 4 completely different scoops. We also found the salmon not very fresh, it had a strange smell to it. I don't recommend getting the salmon here. The Ahi tuna was not bad. Because I ordered off of UberEats, two poke bowls came to $24.20 after taxes, delivery charges, service charges and tips. The price was really good. I don't think I can get poke bowl that cheap from anywhere else.
