So, a couple of things about this place that I really liked, which will bring me back for more. Here it is: I like poke. I like healthy food and I love seafood, but with a lot of poke places with their additional charges, economic portions and high base prices....you feel that you end up paying more than a steakhouse. I'll give you an example. Just here in this beautiful city I've been to several poke places where I chose to share a poke bowl because I didn't want to pay 50 bucks for kale, bits of raw fish and ginger sauce. This usually has happened because of high base prices and stingy portion sizes, so you're left with "adding extra protein" on top of your base servings.....creating for yourself $$$$$$. With this place it was different and I was pleasantly surprised. I'll tell you how: First of, the portion sizes are exactly what you're paying for....no more, no less, which means their base prices is actually reasonable. Also, if you want more protein the additional charge is only $3, which is much cheaper than other places. I've seen them go as high as $6 for extra protein, which is silly because they're not giving you enough to begin with based on their prices that you're already paying for. So, even though I loved my salmon, I didn't have to get extra because what the bowl had was perfectly enough. For the first time in a poke place I felt that I wasn't being ripped off and that felt really nice. The food (Bowl with Salmon/Kale/Rice) was fresh, tasty, flavour full and creative. I loved their outdoor seating area right in the heart of beautiful Yaletown and the service was good. It was a nice, light, healthy and tasty lunch...exactly what I was looking for! They'll see me again.

Good poke bowl place! Service was goo and the staff seemed very capable and friendly! The drink was a tart, but god after it melted a little. The bowl was ver mixed and plenty of different ingredients!!! Awesome!!! Loved if!!!

A poke bowl without the poke! But seriously, the fish is almost non-existent in the bed of kale they pack into this bowl. Why am I paying $14 for leaves? I've had poke in this city before and Poke Guy actually has nice big fat chunks of fish for the same price and they offer much more than what the bowls at Hula offer. I was wildly disappointed in this meal. We did the BOGO on Uber Eats but couldn't imagine paying full price for this. We got the Cali bowl and the miso ginger dressing was strong and overdressed the bowl so you couldn't taste the fish at all. Each peanut size piece of fish was coated in kale and sesame seeds so it got easily lost. The kelp noodles were probably my fave part of the bowl that added a crunch to it. Avoid this place if you want tasty poke that's worth the price.

Went here as there's not many poke places close by to Yaletown. Although their selection is static, I was actually pleasantly surprised at this location. I've been to their other locations before and this one is by far their best hula location. I had ordered the Koko with salmon, coconut rice mixed with kelp noodles. The coconut rice is actually really addicting. I only wish the offered the option of brown rice too. I would defiantly go here again. As their salads poke was amazing at this specific location. They also have vegetarian and vegan options here too. When it warms up more I want to try their Cocowhip (vegan soft serve).

Great poke spot with amazing smoothies! Can't wait to come back again, the staff are amazing and the decor is so nice in there.

Ordered a coffee and they gave mine to the lady in front. Not cool. Suffice to say I'm turned off from ever trying this place again.

The garlic shrimp dish is available on the weekend as the special, and was the main reason we stopped in. We ordered two of those ($16.95) plus $1 for lemonade. We also got da classic ($17.95) which has ahi tuna and salmon poke over a bed of rice. You order and pay up front, and pick up the food from the counter when your number is called. Everything was good. The ahi tuna was decent, the fresh vegetables were solid, with really good rice. The quantity wasn't huge, but would be sufficient for lunch. The garlic shrimp was really good, with corn, canned pineapple, and OK macaroni salad put together over medium grain rice. The master of flavor at this restaurant has the Hawaiian flavor down, and if we had time, I would try their Kalua Pork or their Loco Moco. Next time.

Today I came in to try their Maui ribs plate lunch…read more I got half rice, half very fresh salad greens, and instead of the scoop of corn, I got green onions. The mac salad was still perfect - not mushy, not too gloopy from too much mayo. The ribs were tasty, but the sauce was quite salty, so if you are on a salt restricted diet, this is not the dish for you. Also, I have to commend them for having decent rice - so many places have horrendous rice that I often find inedible. Other than the lack of chili pepper water, I'd say they do a decent job for a fast service Hawaiian plate lunch.

Compared to the locations on W 8th and Hornby, this location is more optimized for takeout; the seating is just stools at counters along the walls and for me the counter was awkwardly high compared to the height of the stool. It was also a little loud. If you're just getting takeout it doesn't make a difference because the food is consistent between all locations, but I would recommend the other location downtown (or the W 8th location if that's in range) for a more comfortable dine-in experience. I tried the Diamond Head pokerrito and subbed out the spicy tuna for the vegan tuna. It's still not a vegan meal if you do this because there are other seafood ingredients in the wrap, but I wanted to try the vegan tuna. It was delicious but very messy because the pokérrito is essentially a giant sushi roll and not sealed at the ends. You kind of have to keep it wrapped in the paper while you eat it but there's no graceful way to eat the ends. I really enjoyed the flavours of this even if I had to get my hands dirty though. The vegan tuna is pretty good. The texture is close enough to real tuna that I wouldn't have noticed it was different if I didn't know. I also got a tiramisu. When I ordered, the person making my order informed me that it was still frozen but it was still good frozen, like ice cream. So I decided that I'd try it and it was pretty good as a frozen dessert except the large ladyfingers at the bottom were slower to soften and hard to scoop out. The coffee soaked into the ladyfingers was pretty strong and the bitterness was a nice contrast with the mascarpone cream. Their prices are very reasonable. The pokérrito and tiramisu came out to $19.90.

Generous portion for protein and lots of options for the toppings: I got spicy tuna and salmon with mango, cilantro, pineapple, jalapeno, radish, edamame, spicy seaweed and crunchy garlic. It's also nice that they let you mix two sauces (the wasabi and super spicy one in my case).

Not a ton of toppings, but enough to put together something good. The prices are fair - the pricing is based on the number of protein scoops you want, and includes 5 veggies with unlimited sauces and standard "sides" (which are really just more veggie toppings), which is enough that you probably won't need to add on extra and bump the price up, although there are premium options like the kale noodle base and masago that cost extra. The tofu bowl that I ordered was fresh and tasty. I ordered with the kale noodle base, and they were really good (pretty stuck together at first, though), but I'm skeptical of the $2 upcharge. Overall not the most memorable, but seems like a safe option for something quick, fresh, and healthy. The shop has kind of a sterile look, but it's clean and the staff is nice.

I went with brown rice and salad leaves for the base, and added all sorts of toppings with a couple of sauces. The order was ready exactly when they said it would. Tasty enough, with fresh ingredients. There certainly was nothing remarkable about it, but it was a solid healthy option. Good spot for a casual grab n go meal made fresh.
