Poke sushi bowl

Food has been great each time! Fresh sushi options to choose from. Not sure what you'd like? Service is excellent and will help with suggestions. Ambiance is laid back and clean!

So excited to try the newest restaurant in Colchester, I love poke!! The food was delicious and reasonably priced considering the amount of fish that is given. There are so many ingredient choices and they're all so fresh and tasty. When I got the bowl I initially thought it didn't look super big, but I just finished and I am STUFFED. Definitely bigger than it looks! From what I saw, it seems like you can have as many toppings as you want. Just to name a few, I got green onions, corn, carrots, Kani salad, onions and edamame. I got my bowl with salmon and tuna, but there are other options if you don't like raw fish. They also have a ton of sauces to choose from. They also had milk tea which I can't wait to try! I am taking 1 star off for service/inside. I watched one person go over the top to help people with their bowls and explaining what different items are and making suggestions (the owner I think), while the employee who helped me made me feel rushed and like I couldn't ask questions. However - I know this is a brand new restaurant and the line started getting backed up, so I can understand. I just wish she took the extra 30 seconds to try and be a bit more helpful. Also the inside was oddly set up. I understand they don't have a lot of space, but the line wraps around a couple dine in tables. I would definitely plan to get it as takeout if you want to go! I think as time progresses and their online ordering system opens up, they will easily get my 5 star rating. This is definitely going to be one of my new favorite restaurants in town.

Finally! A new restaurant that isn't Chinese, pizza, or Mexican in Colchester! I stopped in for lunch today. It's your basic poke style restaurant. Bowls, wraps, etc. Fresh ingredients, friendly staff. There are two small tables outside, but this is meant to be a takeout establishment. The prices are reasonable. A large bowl will run you around $18. It's a great healthy option in a sea of fried food and dive bars. Highly recommended.

Stop by to try their signature bowls today. We ordered 2 scoops for all of them on the Hawaiian and miso salmon bowls. They were delicious and very filling. The staffs was nice and place was clean. It got pretty busy for a tiny place but it's no big deal for us since we take out order. There's only 2 table so it's not a dining place as much as more like short hang out place. But still. The boba tea was very yummy. Too bad they don't have dollop ice cream thingy today. I really wanna try them. Overall I enjoyed the place, the food and drink very much!

Hawaiian Kitchen, based in Bethpage, absolutely knocked it out of the park! From the start, they were incredibly easy to work with and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. I had originally requested 2-liter bottles of soda, but since they didn't have them in stock, they proactively delivered individual cans instead to ensure our team had plenty of drinks. Now, for the food--it was phenomenal. Our office hasn't stopped raving about it! The Coconut Shrimp and Grilled Shrimp were huge hits, and the Angus Steak was incredibly tender. Even the Chicken Fried Rice was a standout, and all of their signature sauces were delicious. They also did a large house salad for us with the most incredible Ginger dressing. I had numerous people ask me where I found them, and I couldn't wait to order for their next small house parties or to pick up dinner on the way home. It was all so fresh and not greasy. We also ordered spring rolls that were so light and crispy, pineapple fried rice that was really delicious, and marinated chicken and steamed broccoli. If you're looking for reliable catering that people will actually get excited about, I can't recommend Hawaiian Kitchen enough. THANK YOU for making me look like a superstar! We will definitely be ordering again! PS - they are a small, family-owned business, and I love supporting businesses like that that really care. Give them a try!

As soon as you walk in, you are in the battle of the drums between the Kumasi and the Djembe. So loud I couldn't think . I did ask to turn it down a few times, in the middle of my meal the Chef said I could eat outside. On that note I ordered way too much. The fried chicken was delicious !! Not greasy at all. But huge, sorry today I ordered two thighs that were the size of one large breast. A little condiment of shaved coconut and chive was on the side. Any sides were à la carte. I did try the " Cabbage Salad" that had a nice flavor, but was overdressed and is mostly iceberg lettuce, and rice with surprisingly sticky rice , so it was kind of yummy. The chicken came with one sauce I got the curry. It was divine.. & my friend got the chicken bites and some kind of mayo. I was going to leave a five star review because the food was that good however, on the receipt they charged $.92 for the containers and eating utensils. I'm disheartened because if they offered an alternative like a plate and regular silverware, I could see not adding it into their cost. If I refuse to pay for the containers, how would I eat it on that note the chef was nice enough to me to have me try a couple of items that I didn't have to pay for. Which I greatly appreciated and that is why I'm leaving such a nice review. I do recommend eating here, but take it home. Or call for delivery, they have their own AP. PS great smoothie's !!!

I decided to order Spam Musubi (rice and spam), a Byte (mini fried chicken), and tapioca tea! My girl went into the store and had the food ready within 3 minutes, which is really awesome as we were in a hurry. However, we were really disappointed by what was inside that bag, as none of them were as good as we expected. 1) Spam Musubi's rice was lost in texture itself. It tasted like old rice. Yet spam was well not bad. We ate all of them. 2) bytes( mini fried chicken) they were overcooked. I attach the picture of it. So hard to chew and meat was nothing there. And I requested mayo but it was not there. But spicy sauce was with them instead in the box. The kids were complaining it was too spicy for mayo. 3) boba tea, I ordered with boba with extra fee. But it was not there just milk tea with brown suger. Later my girl who went to there to pick up, told me the server continued to speak to her even though my girl told to write down as she was deaf. Can't lipreading. Quite disappointed with the service and food.

I walked in with the intent of getting a smoothie, which I did, but also ended up purchasing the shrimp wrap & a Mac & cheese dog. The seating is in abundance, with the choice of booths, tables & high tables. The decor is hip & chic with their colorful painting & graphics directly on the walls. I would have sat to enjoy the ambiance but I had the furbaby in the car. I went with the Pure Bliss smoothie & it hit the spot. I definitely tasted the fresh ginger & also chunks of the fruit. They don't have a designated dog smoothie, like I've seen at other places, but you do have the option of building your own. In addition to smoothies, they also offer acai, oatmeal & dragonfruit bowls. There's something for everyone! If you get the cheese dogs, get extra napkins. This is isn't your typical topping. This is a whole lot of mac & cheese shells drowning a 9" hotdog. I was in cheese heaven. The wrap was also tasty. I without a doubt loved the corn dusted medium sized shrimp. With all the healthy ingredients, there was not a feeling of guilt in site as a ate every crumb. The side are their house potato chips. Normally, I'm the oddball who does not enjoy this kind but I found my hand dipping in the bag multiple times. They are well salted & peppered, no soggy ones included. There menu is so extensive, it'll take a few trips to get through it all. No complaints here.

Cuckoo's Hawaiian Shave Ice - Spoon resembled a mini-shovel

Cuckoo's Hawaiian Shave Ice

"bubbles through the ice" (Phish)…read more You may have a hard time finding Cuckoo's Hawaiian Shave Ice. It's not a brick and mortar store, its more like a mini three-wheeled food truck parked in the rear lot of "It's Playtime" - an indoor kids' playground and playscape. We saw zero signs directing us to its location -we just kind of knew about it from a Facebook post. Cuckoo's is owned by It's Playtime and is open more or less the same hours they are (roughly from 9-5). Because the cart sometimes goes off premises to an event, it's worth your while to call before you scoot over. Cups of shaved ice are sold in 2 sizes for $4 or $5. There had a ton of flavors including Blue Vanilla, Grape, Lime, Mango, Cherry,Tigers Blood, Pickled Mango, Lemon, Blue Raspberry, Banana, Sour Apple, Blueberry, Cotton Candy, Pina Colada, Cola, Pink Lemonade, Guava Passion Fruit,Li Hing Mango, Strawberry, Passion Orange Guava, Blue Bubblegum, and Cake Batter. You can trick out your shaved ice with a Snow Cap (for an extra creamy sweet texture), or Fairy Dust (glitter), or candies for half a buck or so more. No review of Cuckoo's would be complete without a glowing report on the young lady running the stand. Isabelle was delightfully charming, informative, helpful, and as sweet as the shaved ice she served up. We ordered a snow-capped small banana and a snow-capped small blue vanilla They totaled $10.21. As our temperatures hit the 70's and 80's, why not check out Cuckoos to cool off?
