    Eatjoy beef bowl

The best spot for any college student in the area looking for an affordable bowl that's packed to the brim and filled with flavor! Kind workers who are attentive to your needs! Lots of seating and a range of drinks too!

Not bad, tasty poke bowls, kind of like an Asian-fusion Chipotle. They have "curated" bowls if you're too lazy (like me) to make/choose your own fillings, but you can certainly mix-and-match to your heart's content of the various toppings and sauces. While tasty, I found 1) that the sauce (at least on mine) was a bit heavily applied; and 2) that the serving size is a bit on the light side. So if you're a big eater - or are just really hungry - you might need to order 2 bowls.

I enjoyed this place. I from New York so I've had my fair share of poke bowls and I immediately knew that the quality would not fair against the quality of New York. However it is the only restaurant in Storrs that provides Poke bowls. The quality of the food was subpar. But that is what I had expected. The sushi rice has terrible consistency. The toppings are definitely not fresh. But again it gets the job done. Essentially this is what I was expecting. It's good to an extent. I know the other people have given it 1 star but it's not that bad. However I do agree with people who say they skimp out on toppings. The ratio to toppings to rice is very poor. You definitely get way more rice than salmon or whatever topping you choose. Despite all of that, I'd say I'd go there again.

I was expecting more from this place but their food was only so so. First of all, all they do is bowls and burritos. I wish they did sushi rolls, it's not too difficult and fairly similar to the process of burritos. I went with a bowl and had: cold sushi rice, pineapple, red onions, corn, spring mix, edamame, green onions and marinated tofu. I had unagi and sweet chili sauce on the side. The flavors were alright. The red onion was very overpowering and it was just a cold rice bowl. I wasn't impressed. This restaurant needs to work on their food and how it meshes together.

They are extremely rude to customers. Nothing warrants treating your patrons poorly, especially when they make reasonable requests.

Food is always awesome, service is always good, chefs are always awesome. The problem I have is they charge an 18% tip charge to your check automatically. They do not come out and tell you this, they just rubber stamp it on the bottom of your receipt. This is almost unreadable unless you know it is there. The lighting is very low so it is close to impossible to notice. We paid an additional 18% not realizing they had already done this. We paid close to an $80 tip!!!! We love this place, but this is like some sort of robbery adding a charge without telling us in person. If you're not doing something underhanded then be honest and up front with your customers. Don't put a faded rubber stamp on the bottom of a receipt in a dimly lit restaurant. Check your receipt people! This is a scam that needs to stop! We are extremely disappointed. Please realize we have absolutely NO complaints with the food or service, we just don't like when an establishment takes total advantage of its customers financially. We pay a pretty hefty price for the food and service at these places! The tip is our choice, NOT YOURS!

We ordered a salad with ginger and sesame dressing, Tom Yum soup which was delicious and authentic, veg tempura, some eggplant which came with rice. Although a very modest although seemingly haphazard interior layout, the choice and quality of their food was just great. As I drive up to it I got a little concerned as all the parking spots in front were taken. Almost moved on until we saw they had a parking lot off to the side. Pulled in and went inside. We were seated right away after given a few choices of where to dine: hibachi table, booth in bar area or booth in dining area. We chose the dining area which happened to be right next to the hibachi tables so we heard the chef over there as they cooked. They use only one menu which seemed like it was their takeout menu. No real complaints I guess as it did list everything. Our appetizers came out quick and food was good. Although the steak bits seemed a little dry. Liked that they allowed us to swap out the mushroom soup with miso soup. Salad was good, they used a different Asian styled dressing which was tasty. Portions were large and we wound up taking some leftovers home. Took close up menu pics as the ones in this site were hard to read. 4 stars because we kept being visited by a couple pesky flies around our food.
