Churro bites
Clare C.

Came here for lunch on a Thursday and really enjoyed it! My coworkers were raving about the fries on Thursday so I had to try it! Was able to order quickly and grab a seat. Some seating options inside and out. The food came out pretty quickly ~10 minutes during peak lunch time. I ordered the grilled chicken taco and carne asada fries with some churro bites. Loved them all! Taco was delicious and fries were also so good. They were both so filling. I had leftovers for another meal. The churro bites are a great deal for $3 and come with so many. The price is very fair. I would love to come back and try some other options on the menu!

Lovely and clean establishment, friendly staff, exceptional food! Wish they were open more days of the week.

Mix of Tacos Mexi sexy and carnitas

I have been in love with their food since they had their food truck. I have to say it was love at first site. Having their food made me smile from ear to ear. And if you know me well you know I even do a little dance . Food is life for me and Yoko Loko know how to put love in everything they do. Their location is easy to find and there's plenty of parking. You can eat in and out. The place is not big but it looks great inside and comfortable enough. I cant even imagine service ever being bad here because they always have a big smile and ready to help in anyway. This is family own and you feel it immediately. If you don't know what to try I will say make sure you try at least a Carnitas taco, MexiSexy and lumpia. This is the least you should try. No matter how much I order I always have to include these three as extras. I can't live without it. I know you will all agree once you try it.

Plenty of parking. I would recommend ordering online to help expedite things in case they're busy at the restaurant. I love that they have local sodas available for purchase. About 5 large tables inside to dine in. I have always loved their food. From their tacos to their lumpia. I can't wait to see what they'll be adding to their menu next.

We decided to stop here on a Saturday. The place was small and not too busy. They have different everyday specials and on Saturday they had the pork adobo. We got that, along with the fried pork belly bites, pancit, and carne tacos. Thr pancit was a huge portion and not bad. The tacos were ok and the bites were not that good. The pork adobo was the best and I would get that again. Solid place, worth stopping in.

Chicken hibachi, fish and chicken tacos and beef lumpia at a friends wedding!

I actually tried Yoko loko at my friends wedding which was held in the Ledyard area. I must say my friends are pretty ingenious for bringing this amazing eatery to their wedding ( just imagine...a food truck at a millenial wedding ) Everyone who has eaten here has said tremendous things about the food here. It's a spin between Asian and mexican food. The family who owns this food truck is Filipino! Out of all the places I've ever eaten at I have never had Filipino food and this was a first for me and it was AMAZING! I ordered a vegetarian option which was a stir fried veggies with their hibachi sauce over rice, two veggie tacos ( which was a combination of chick peas and red beans) and a vegetarian lumpia. The tacos were spot on! I'm not vegetarian and I didn't miss meat at all. Living in Dallas, I've had my fair share of tacos and the corn tortilla they use here is definitely traditional and delicious! For me, apart from the food, the family is so kind, the chef is brilliant and it's a family business. They treat thier customers as part of the family which is the best part of this eatery. Overall if I'm ever in the Ledyard area, I'll be stopping by again. Thank you for bringing some creativity to Ledyard!

This place is phenomenal. I wish this was here back growing up as a kid. I'm in town visiting family and my brother took me by here, at corner of RT 12 and Christy Hill at the old go kart place. I ordered 2 Loko fish 2 carnitas con chorizo 2 mexi sexys My bro got the Yoko Loko combo. All of it was delightful. I'm going to come back to get the stir fry. The workers were pleasant and friendly. I'll be back soon and hopefully they'll be there tomorrow. Attached are some pictures of the menu.

7 tacos (one of each available on the menu)

Can't believe it took us so long to try this place. We got one of each taco and the carne asada fries. Everything was incredible. The lengua (beef tongue) tacos were both of our favorites. Can't wait to try everything else on the menu. If you haven't gone, what are you taking for? They have a habanero oil available that is super tasty and they really load up the tacos. The fries were a large portion, too. Great prices for a lot of amazing food. The staff was all smiles and the place was super clean.

My husband and I first went to Yoko Loko when it was still a food truck in a parking lot in Gales Ferry, and now that it's a restaurant we are so excited to be back more often! I ordered take out, and got the sake steak bowl and lumpia. The sake steak bowl is delicious, the lumpia are crispy and tasty, and I really like the sauce that the lumpia comes with. Not too spicy, not too sweet. They do offer online ordering and there are some tables inside and out to sit and eat.

We did have a special buffalo chicken taco, which was fabulous!! It was our first time at Sayulita since giving up alcohol, and I was definitely missing their margaritas. I had a grapefruit Mexican soda, but next time I'll ask if they can make me a yummy mocktail. The restaurant is about double the size of the Glastonbury location, so check it out if you want the best tacos without the long wait!!

Fortunately, we were seated quickly. Service was excellent, and the vibrant, modern atmosphere felt trendy yet comfortable. Noise levels were pretty manageable, even as the dining room filled up. I had the buttermilk fried chicken taco, which had great texture and crunch--just a touch more seasoning would've really made it shine. The pork belly taco was melt-in-your-mouth tender with rich flavor, though the celery and apple slaw on top didn't quite hold up--it looked great but lacked the apple part and was dry. Next time, I think I'd try one of the other interesting tacos instead. For my main dish, I had the cilantro pesto chicken burrito with rice and beans--delicious, generously filled, and perfectly seasoned. My girlfriend had the mushroom enchiladas, which were hearty and earthy, though a bit more seasoning could have brought out the full potential of the dish, as it seemed like it was just unseasoned mushrooms in a tortilla. Overall, Sayulita remains a solid choice with consistently good food, friendly service, and a lively vibe. A reservation option would make it even better--but until then, arriving early is the way to go!
