    Burnt ends fried rice

Stopped for an early dinner, we sat outside right by the river and it was beautiful. The patio and outside area are gorgeous. The burnt ends fried rice was delicious, smoky, sweet and the right amount of spice! The naan tacos were also delicious with fresh naan bread. The Moscow mule was really good, the patio is dog friendly also! Our waitress was friendly and helpful!

Cinder is a great stop in Westerly. We came in for a light dinner, admittedly I wasn't even hungry, but when I saw jalapeño cheddar corn bread on the menu (which was amazing by the way) I knew I had to make room. I got the summer salad which was fresh and vibrant, I loved the creamy dressing it came with. The real winner for me was my husband's fried rice, I couldn't stop picking at it the entire time we were there. Delicious, not too greasy, fresh pineapple. Really really good. The restaurant itself is very modern and new feeling, service was very quick but the place isn't huge. They had a really nice outdoor patio that would be great in the warmer summer days.

We actually dined at Cinder in July, but our experience was so wonderful I thought I'd share it here. First off, the lively yet laidback vibe of the place makes for a nice culinary experience. The exceptional food quality and diverse offerings stand out among most restaurants in the area. My husband is still raving about the burnt ends. He had them added to his salad. He liked them so much that we plan to visit again in the near future even though the restaurant is 45 minutes away! Our lovely waitress shared recommendations and delivered our food and drinks promptly. We will definitely be coming back!

We visited for the first time, for our anniversary, because of the variety of meatless dishes on their menu. It was a gorgeous day, and we sat on the lovely patio, with umbrellas, right next to the river. The whole side of restaurant was open, so you could also sit inside with the airy feel of the outdoors. Service was fast and friendly, and we automatically got a carafe of water (we love that). We ordered 4 dishes of varying sizes (tofu tacos, jalapeño cheddar cornbread, a side of cheesy grits, and the naanpeñadas) and enjoyed every one of them. It was a good amount of food for 2 of us, and we got to try a lot. The naanpeñadas were probably the most unique and nicely done - perfectly tender and puffy, just out of the fryer. The tofu in the tacos was really delicious, too. I could have used salt on the table (I need lots of salt), but it's on me for not asking for it. The setting, the unique and changing menu that suits many diets, and the service make this a place to which we'll return. Most anyone could find something they'd be happy to eat here.

Cinder smokes their own meat, makes their own handmade delicious naan tacos, and always has a great beer selection! On the river in Westerly with outdoor seating, a few fire pits, and a unique menu that changes frequently. Service is always friendly and accommodating.

What a beautiful place to eat! I ordered here 2x and i was never disappointed! They do tacos in naan bread which is really cool and the food always taste so fresh and flavorful. Living in NY.... I sometimes wish there was one closer by me! They have a variety of food on their menu and all are so healthy without the feel of "healthy". Would definitely recommend. They also do specials which is cool!

Fantastic food (we had smash burger and lemon lentil soup, both perfect), cool space, and great friendly service. Can't wait to come back!

This tiny restaurant in the borough is my favorite little hideaway in the area. The food is always…read morespot on! This is much more than your local taco joint; the flavors are delightfully complex and preparation is on point. The service is always impeccable and attentive. There's some pretty great restaurants in the area, but I think honesty, this is currently my favorite location.

We were so excited to happen upon a Mexican resteraunt, because it is always our 1st choice, but…read morethe food was Meh. As a resteraunt, the downstairs was very small with 3 tables & a bar; the upstairs was more spacious. The food was edible, but it wasnt anything special; nothing a novice cook at home couldnt produce taste-wise, & you would have never known you were in a Mexican resteraunt by the food, the ambiance, or the drinks (which is hard to do because margaritas are made of tequila) Granted what we ordered wasn't Mexican, but isn't that strange in itself? I ordered one of the specials: ($27) boneless beef short ribs w/ a mescal mushroom sauce, on a bed of mashed potatoes & spinach w/ pickled onions, & a ginger margarita ($14). My friend chose the special ($26) coconut crusted cod w/ rice, mixed vegetables, pineapple salsa & a house silver margarita (16). Mine was edible & the meat was a good texture, but the flavor profile was nothing to write home about. Actually, it would have have been better without the sauce, because it overpowered the dish. The pickled onion on top was the best part of my meal. The drink also fell flat, but was drinkable. My friend reported that her fish was bland & flavorless, but could have been improved with a little lime. However the waitress never came back after taking the order, except to drop the check. It was delivered by a runner. She commented that everything else on the plate had flavor & as long as she ate bites of everything together, it was decent. I gave it a try, & agreed, but I have to say the pineapple salsa was a stand out star on her plate. Her drink was also passable, but not good enough to order a second & she had to add sweetner, because it was mutually bitter & tart. She said the sweetner improved it. The wait staff was not unpleasant, they were just mot attentive. Needless to say I won't be returning.
