I was in the mood for poke and found this spot close to my mom's house. The place is cute, it's a small place with a few tables. Luckily, there weren't a lot of people so we were able to eat at the place. The service was quick and great, no issues here. As for the food, my mom ended up building her own bowl and got the shrimp tempura, while I got the Teriyaki Chicken Bowl. I did like the bowl, but I wasn't really loving the chicken. It wasn't fried nor was it grilled, and I've had amazing Terikayi chicken before but this was not it. I did love the flavors of the bowl and the combination of red onion, cucumber, lettuce, edamame, sweet corn and everything else that was in the bowl, but unfortunately for me this wasn't the best poke I've ever had. I would go back to try a different bowl as they had different options and they probably have some really good ones.

Fantastic. Ordered on uber eats. Large portion, SUPER fresh and came presented nicely. Picture is after i already ate some. I never leave reviews but this deserved it. Nice to see a place taking pride and TRYING with online orders. Great job Poke 88.

"Create your own" Large bowl, 3 protein choices , plenty amount of topping options.

Amazing service, plenty of choices as far as protein , toppings, sauces and add on. No extra charge for avocado or seaweed salad (!!!) . Big portion for the large bowl (3 proteins) $20 . Highly recommend.

I'm pretty picky about Poke (and you should be too) But Poke88 is delicious and they have sushi burritos as well. With the regular bowl, you get 2 proteins and unlimited toppings! With the burrito, it's more limited than that so it fits in the wrap. Been here several times now and it's definitely quick service and it's really good. Theres some pop music in the background but it's not too loud so you can definitely dine in as they have a few seating options. My only comment is that you feel rushed, even if the place is empty but the employees are friendly

I've been going to poke 88 for years I go twice a week and the quality is always fresh. Customer service is always 10/10. They are also full of options from pineapples, mango, cream cheese etc.

Ordered the Rainbow Beach Bowl with brown rice. So delicious. Food is fresh. The mango and crispy onions were different and gave it nice texture. Would like to try more of their options.

The first time I walk by this restaurant, out of curiosity, I stopped to look at the menu. As I was standing there, a couple of patrons walked out, saw me looking at the menu, and they started telling me about how amazing the food was. A similar thing happened a couple of weeks later when I was walking by and I looked inside, and again someone stopped me to rave about the food. I must say, I have gone to and walked by many restaurants in my life and this has never happened to me before, that customers take time from their busy lives to talk to a random stranger about the quality of food they had just had. Now at that time, I didn't know what a poke bowl was. At some point in my busy days, this style of food was introduced to Miami and became popular without anyone sending me a memo about it. And so I walked into this tiny little place with maybe 2 or 3 tables. This is not a place to dine in, for the most part, but rather take out or delivery. Not knowing what I was ordering, I ordered one of the house specialties and watched them prepare my bowl. The process of making my bowl was very fascinating with the attention that was given to the bowl and the details of it. When I took the bowl home, I eagerly took a bite, and suddenly I was up doing the hokey pokey dance. The food was as amazing as it had been advertised, and the portion was more than satisfactory. Since then I have been there many times and tried different plates. They are all good. I know I should try other poke bowl restaurants, but it is so hard to not go the one I know I like. And now it is my turn to stop passer bys and tell them about how wonderful the food is. :-)

Best poke in Miami! The ingredients are so fresh and delicious, and their portion sizes are awesome. I've been at least a dozen times both in-person and picking up online orders, and I've never been disappointed. I really love that they don't nickel and dime you with toppings.

I haven't had poke in such a long time and I am so glad I found Poke88 here on Yelp! The ladies working here are super nice and they made everything we asked for exactly how we wanted and even suggested added ingredients. I did Build Your Own and requested the salmon cooked beaches I hate raw salmon! It was very tasty! I also mentioned I needed gluten free and they accommodated me nicely. My husband ordered the Teryiaki chicken and absolutely loved it. Everything was super fresh.

Decent price for the amount of options you can have with the build your own! Ingredients taste fresh and hefty portions

Excellent place for Poke bowls. The restaurant has super fresh seafood and their signature pokes are very good. Usually I come here with my daughter and she loves this place. Their cilantro spicy sauce is delicious. I always order like their 2 protein option on the regular size bowl. It is plenty. Their toppings bar is super stocked with all the usual ingredients. Their crispy onion and Wakame salad toppings are so good. Give it a try. It is definitely worth coming here.

So fresh, so good. I made my own bowl w/ salmon and spicy tuna. The salmon was really good, but the spicy tuna was a little strange, probably would get something else next time. It was mixed with this mayo-based sauce that was a little offputting. Other than that, all the ingredients were SUPER fresh and I love how much avocado they give. I got the ponzu citrus sauce and also the cilantro one on the side & was pleasantly surprised by it. Very unique style sauce for poke, so I was a little hesitant, but wow it added so much to the bowl. Also great service and cute/clean interior. Will be returning here!

I was looking for a poke bowl to satisfy my craving in Kendall a saw good reviews for this place. I was greeted at the door and the staff was helpful and was able to customize the sauce - no jalapeño for me. I added spicy Mayo to the poke classic bowl. I did a half sushi rice and half greens. When I sat down, I immediately noticed how tiny they cut the tuna. Most poke places offer bigger chunks of tuna and salmon. For 15+tax+tip I expected more protein than rice. The cucumbers were also cut in half moons. The taste was good and the service was good as well. The entertainment was excellent (see sumo photo).

Instead, I stumbled upon Koana Tiki Bar--a hidden little chamber of tropical enchantment tucked away from the ordinary world. As Miami's only tiki bar, Koana is surprisingly well themed. It is a smaller establishment, which explains why reservations are required, but the intimate setting only adds to the charm. Once inside, the outside world seems to disappear beneath warm lighting, exotic décor, and the unmistakable feeling that something mysterious is being prepared behind the bar. The food is available, but Koana truly shines through its drink menu. The team has clearly done its research and assembled some serious heavy hitters. My companions and I visit whenever we're in Miami, and we've sampled nearly every drink on the menu. I have yet to encounter a bad one. They are fairly priced for Miami, though their strength should not be underestimated. These are not casual refreshments--they are potent little potions disguised as tropical cocktails. The staff is always kind, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable. They're happy to explain the drinks and guide you toward something that suits your taste, whether you seek something sweet, sour, smoky, fruity, or powerful enough to summon your ancestors. During my visit, I combined several ingredients from the menu into a highly experimental concoction. After one sip, my allergies vanished completely. After the second, I could smell colors. By the third, I was convinced the palm trees were speaking to me in ancient tongues. I have no idea what was in that drink, but my sinuses were clear, my spirit was elevated, and I briefly achieved enlightenment beneath a decorative tiki mask. Reservations are essential, the drinks are strong, and the bar is small--but Koana is absolutely worth seeking out. Just be certain you're prepared for whatever spirits may answer when you raise your glass.

Guess the insight here is Kaona draws folks who so totally want to be there and participate in the nightly celebrations that it becomes contagious, spreading from table to table with smiles, laughter, and cameras. I feel the term 'artisan' is so overused nowadays that I avoid using it, so can we just go with the Bill & Ted description that Kaona's tiki drinks are "Most Excellent!" Will non Gen-Xers get that last reference???

We got there for late lunch and were in the mood to sample a little of everything, so we ordered from Gold Marquess, Yip, B-Side, and 88 Unnie. Everything came out quickly, and every dish was flavorful. The seafood scallion pancake was a pleasant surprise. Crispy, savory, and definitely worth trying, just be sure to eat it while it's hot because it loses its magic once it cools down. The salt and pepper shrimp had great flavor, though I would've loved a few more shrimp and jalapeños with fewer scallions. The crispy Spam Musubi had a perfect balance of sweet and savory and disappeared from the table faster than them all. I was a personal fan of the Chili chow fun with that umami flavor and egg noodles. This is one of those places where everyone can order what they're craving and share a little of everything. That's usually the best way to tackle a food hall anyway.

To Whom It May Concern,…read more I am writing to formally complain about an unacceptable experience I had today with Mana Poke regarding a lunch order I placed today for myself and two co-workers. I initially ordered three bowls online: two with salmon and one with chicken. A few minutes after placing the order on line, I received a call from Teresa advising they did not have any chicken. I therefore canceled that bowl and proceeded with the remaining two salmon bowls. Despite this adjustment being made promptly, my order arrived one hour late, which is completely unreasonable for a lunch order--especially when multiple people are involved and relying on timely service. Unfortunately, the issues did not end there. Upon receiving the order, both bowls were prepared incorrectly, containing the wrong ingredients in each bowl and missing items that were clearly specified in the order. At that point, the quality and accuracy of the service had failed entirely. I contacted the restaurant and spoke with a staff member named Teresa to address these issues. Her response was deeply disappointing. She repeatedly said "OK" in a dismissive manner, showed no concern or accountability, and made no effort to offer an apology, explanation, or any form of reconciliation. Her lack of professionalism and apparent indifference only compounded an already frustrating experience. Between the ingredient shortage, excessive delay, incorrect food preparation, and poor customer service, this experience fell far below any reasonable standard of service. I chose Mana Poke expecting reliability and quality and instead received the opposite. I am requesting that this matter be addressed promptly and that appropriate compensation be provided for the inconvenience and poor service experienced. I also strongly encourage management to review customer service expectations with staff, as this interaction was unacceptable. Given the issues outlined above, I will not be placing future orders with Mana Poke and believe prospective customers should exercise caution when ordering from Mana Poke.

Anywho, I ordered ahead for pick up on their website. The price was a little above average for poke in my opinion, but hey, I don't cheap out when it comes to my raw fish (or else you'll pay for it one way or another LOL xD). The spot is on the side of 8th street, next to the Subway and CVS side. It's kind of hidden and the inside was very "chill" (wasn't busy at all the time I went, around 5PM or so) for a lack of a better word. Anyway, my order was ready quickly in about 10-15 minutes, so I walked from nearby to pick my order up. Picking it up was easy, they just asked for my name. I inspected my order before heading back. My order felt super light and not to my surprise, it was such a small bowl. Granted, I didn't try their signature bowls, I built my own. Regardless, it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. Compared to my regular spot, I would definitely make the drive to go there (Coral Gables) instead. I really wish I could give this place a better rating and review, but it just wasn't doing it for me. I only recommend this spot if you're craving poke and don't feel like traveling far. *photos of poke bowl to follow*
