Poke time in plano is awesome! I came by for lunch and got my food quickly. The style of ordering is similar to Chipotle. I've tried a few poke places in the plano area and this one offers the best value with the size and mix in options. The owners are super friendly also! I'm happy I went with the larger option for lunch- they give you 3 scoops of fish! You get to chose a base of rice/ spring mix/ both, your own toppings (unlimited) and receive 2 extra scoops of a side (crab meat, edamame, or seaweed salad). They even have spicy mayo in the condiment area, which is a win! Can't get enough spicy mayo!! read more

Fresh fish and hot rice. Perfect combo. Some of the best Poke I've had in a while. Well deserved rating.

I like their order system but the food and portion size were average compared to the many poke spots we've tried. The salmon and tuna were fresh. But the edamame had a gritty texture and the mango pieces were tough and sour (not peak mango season - I wish they simply didn't offer this topping option). There was a dirty bowl on the floor near our seat that the staff never picked up though it was very visible to them. We cleaned up and disposed of it after our meal. As the only customers at 5:30pm on a slow Tuesday, we were disappointed with their service and cleanliness. read more

Always fresh. Love their toppings. You now fill out a sheet and order that way. So glad to see that they still require masks!!! THANK YOU for following science! read more

My husband and I have been eating here a couple of times a month since Poke Time first opened. The owner (who used to work the front) put out a quality bowl with fresh ingredients and friendly service. The last time we went things felt - different. You know how you just get a "vibe" that things have changed? The staff up front was completely different, the bowls sort-of thrown together (come on, half of the poke bowl's appeal is presentation) and - the big thing for us - no one told the customer who was LEANING OVER THE PARTITION to knock it off. Thank god we were there before him. Today I went in on my own, in the afterglow of an 8-mile run...hungry and ready for poke. Well. A very unpleasant young woman was working up front. Her red-lipsticked lips were in a pretty severe scowl and she made no eye contact with me, just barked out her request for my 2 sides and toppings. I asked for "just mango" so he gave me 2 scoops of mango and then when I said I'd remembered I wanted edamame she GLARED at me! Seriously! She appeared to absolutely hate working at this place. She told me what my total was and before I had a chance to sign the screen, her butt was planted back in a chair with her phone two inches from her face. No "Thanks, come again". No "Have a nice day". NOTHING. Pro tip: she's a liability and doesn't present a good front for the business. In my many decades on this earth I've learned that when employees are miserable, it leaks into the product quality. I asked for cucumber and got 6 sad, browning, thinly-sliced half moons. I posted a picture of the majority of the cilantro in my bowl. The mango was good, guess I'm lucky I ended up with two scoops of that instead of one? But zoiks, that attitude. I should've taken a picture. We won't be back. Not worth it anymore. read more

Loved it! Owners are super nice and accommodating to your needs when ordering. Simple menu that puts out a quality poke bowl. Ingredients were fresh and healthy, I also like how there are cooked options like the baked salmon and bulgogi, which we also got. Note that if you get the baked salmon, it will take a few extra minutes to be ready to eat as they actually take it to the back to bake it so that it's nice and cooked for you to eat. We tried the baked salmon poke bowl, a bulgogi bowl, and a tuna/salmon/yellowtail poke bowl, it was delicious! There was a good amount of toppings and side items to add to your bowl, so the portion was just right for a single meal and priced appropriately. We will be back as regulars next time! read more

Nice little poke shop in this shopping center right on Preston and 121. A really nice lady works the counter and the two times I've been it seems like she's the only one there, probably the owner. Like most poke places it's build your own bowl, no preset options though if you're indecisive. Regular gets two proteins and large gets three. Mix ins, sauce, toppings etc. Poke Time is pretty straight forward, no frills, poke bowls. And sometimes you like the simplicity and consistency. Shop is clean and food pretty good, that's a win in my book. There's also an ice cream freezer if you want some frozen dessert goods :9 read more

Sweetest staff ever. We came a little end of peak time on a Sunday, so it was a bit busy. A lot of people standing, either waiting for their to go order and dining in. There were only two people working in the front. Once we received our food, the restaurant started to slowly clear up, making us the only family still eating. The elder woman made small talk, asking about my daughter while clearing up the tables. Then the elder gentleman came by and handed my daughter a strawberry pocky stick, which she loves! My daughter is 2.5 and is semi-picky with texture. She loved the poke bowl. I had teriyaki chicken, eel sauce, corn things a typical kid would eat. Overall I would definitely recommend, from the environment, the staff and cleanliness. On our way our my daughter said "thank you, ong (grandpa)" for the pocky. That definitely made her day. read more

My son and I tried Poke Time for the first time today. It was amazing!! I had salad, and my son had the rice bowl. We both chose salmon, tuna and shrimp topped with crab. The ingredients are so fresh, and the sauce is so flavorful. We loved the seaweed salad. It was absolutely delicious. I am definitely going to try the Unagi bowl next time. read more

Poke bowls are all the rage. Think of a Chipotle bowl except with fresh, raw fish and Japanese sides like imitation crab meat, seaweed salad, and edamame. At Poke Time, you can get unlimited toppings on your poke bowl (except for avocado which is $1 extra). I got pretty much all of them including the tamago (type of Japanese omelette), sesame seed, crisp onion, kizami nori (Japanese roasted shredded seaweed), and the ginger and wasabi on the side. I ordered a regular size poke bowl which, at $8.99, is a steal! The regular comes with 2 scoops of protein; I got salmon and tuna with my brown rice. Their protein and side portions were so big that I couldn't see my rice at the bottom. That's when you know a poke place is generous. I've been to two other poke places in DFW (Below 40 Poke House and Poke Bop), and, in comparison, I liked Poke Time a whole lot more! The salmon and tuna chunks were big, and I could tell the fish was fresh. Their sides and toppings work well together, and I couldn't be happier with my meal. As another pro, the ambiance of this place was really nice! Their lights and decorations align with a Hawaiian theme (where poke originates), and the restaurant is open and well-lit. The place is casual and self-service. The utensils and napkins are near the cute water jugs, and the trash bin is adjacent. I'm glad this poke place opened recently and will definitely be back! Summary: food 5/5, ambiance 5/5, service 3/5. read more

Amazingly delicious place. I ordered the large poke bowl which comes with three proteins. I got the Tuna, Salmon and Yellowtail. I also got half white rice and half salad for my base. I added lots of yummy toppings and asked the lady to mix my sauces for me, the ones she recommended. It came together perfectly, and of course I had to add avocado which was a dollar extra, not bad. The place was clean and customer service was great. They have additional condiments on the side which is perfect. I will definitely go back whenever I'm in the mood for some Poke bowl. read more

Went for lunch and we really liked it! Solid poke bowls with fresh ingredients. Needed another quality poke restaurant after Fish Bowl left during COVID. Highly recommend it! read more

I'm going to start by saying that I've tried a lot of poke places, but none of the others have had yellowtail on their menu! As soon as I saw that, I knew this was the place for me. Another plus for this place is the prices! A regular poke bowl is $8.99 and comes with 2 proteins. If you love yellowtail as much as I do, you order double because you're obsessed and also because it tastes so fresh you can't resist. Went with Original Poke for my sauce and I was very happy with it. Kind of sweet, but soy sauce-based so there's a savory element there too. It's very balanced, I'd definitely recommend it. There are plenty of toppings to choose from as well as mix-ins (like crab and seaweed salad). The people working there are very friendly as well. The nice girl making my bowls was wayy too patient with me as I tried to remember what toppings my friend wanted--I was getting two to go. I really appreciated it! TLDR: really fresh fish, really friendly staff, really happy customer read more

Wow, I think I've found my new favorite poke place. I'm just sad it's so far from me. Poke Time is a game changer, y'all - it's legit. I thought I had my fair share of good poke bowls but Poke Time came around and changed my perspective completely. Instead of filling 75% of your bowl with rice or salad - Poke Time gives you A LOT of fish and toppings. Located off Preston Rd and 121 - it's basically right at the border of West Plano and Frisco but if you live around this area definitely give this place a shot. Poke is a really great and simple concept that few can do a stellar job at executing... Poke Time is one of those places. Although they are the newest poke joint to grace the DFW metroplex, they are already putting out some bombbbbb poke bowls. I got the large half & half poke bowl (half salad, half white rice). They only use spring mix for their salad here and don't mix it up with romaine lettuce that will water down your poke bowl (like Below 40 does). The white rice is pretty good quality. Perfect ratio of salad and white rice. Even though spicy mayo isn't listed on their list of sauce options, you can ask for spicy mayo and they'll do it for ya no problem, no fuss. Or you can pick one of the sauces listed and drizzle the spicy mayo on afterwards because they keep a few bottles of it at their condiments corner. You can also get extra sauce on the side if you feel your bowl isn't saucy enough. I got a generous scoop of the spicy tuna. Since I got a choice of 3 proteins I doubled up on the salmon. The salmon here is so fresh and buttery - I love it! Poke time has an option for spicy crab meat for your side (along with regular crab meat, seaweed salad, and edamame) - first poke place I know that offers that spicy option. The crab meat here is like Densetsu (AKA my favorite sushi joint) sushi roll quality crab meat - really good. The ingredients that go into your bowls are so fresh. Unlimited toppings - go crazy and add them all (except avocado which is $1 extra). Poke Time is currently in their soft opening stages so come and take advantage of the 20% off while you can! But honestly, their prices are low even without the 20% off (same price as Poke Point but better quality and cheaper than Below 40). Cheapest yet highest quality poke bowls in the area! I know this is such a minute thing but I love that they have clear takeout bowls so you can see everything. read more

Found this on yelp earlier this week and drove right over for a quick lunch. Since poke has been on my weekly lunch / dinner rotation, I can't ever get sick of new places. This restaurant is right off Preston in the same shopping center as Best Thai. Don't go towards the PGA golf store, it's not next to that as a previous tip stated. First off, let me say this is definitely chipotle style poke bowls. You picked ingredients and they put it in the bowl for you. The service was great, he was really nice explaining how many items you are allowed to have in each step. My pick is spicy tuna and my thing is I love chucks of meat. Their spicy tuna (mentioned in other reviews as well) is not in chucks. It's more mashed up. I did sample the taste before I selected and it tasted good. But the final product just wasn't as tasty. I personally still prefer chucks of meat. Their sauce selection is also limited. They didn't have my go to Japanese style spicy mayo. Which made a difference. Also. As I was eating the poke bowl. There was a strong fishy smell that made the bowl taste funny :( I couldn't identify if it was the seaweed salad or another ingredient. But since it was all mixed up. I couldn't eat it. I got it to go so I didn't want the time to go back. I would say that I was able to purchase also a spam musubi right when it came out. While it was still warm- and THAT was fantastic. I ate the whole thing in my car....Tasty just like the way they make it in Hawaii. With so many options for poke bowls in my area. I wouldn't say this is my top choice. But I would def stop by just to get the spam musubi again. read more

Poke is definitely getting big in Dallas and boy am I glad! I've driven by this place several times before they opened their doors so I'm glad I finally got to try this place out. You go through the line and order your bowl to your liking. You can choose between the regular ($8.99) and large bowl ($10.99). You have the choice between white rice, brown rice, or salad. With the regular bowl, you get a choice of two proteins and the large bowl you get three. You can choose between tuna, salmon, yellowtail, spicy tuna, shrimp, tofu. Since I ordered a large, I chose two scoops salmon and one scoop of the spicy tuna. Then, you have your choice of mix-ins for the protein including green onion, masago, furikake, and red onions. I got all four with spicy ponzu and original poke sauce mixed. You have a choice of two sides to add to your bowl. They have crab meat, edamame, seaweed salad, spicy crab meat! I haven't seen spicy crab meat at other poke places that I've frequented so I had to go with that plus the seaweed salad. Finally, toppings galore! Many choice in toppings to finish off your bowl and the only thing they charge extra for is avocado ($1). Otherwise, choose all the toppings your heart desires. Overall verdict, their poke bowls are delicious here and it's also very filling! I will definitely be back! read more

Thought it was pretty good, you choose white or brown rice, then they add some mixed greens. You then choose 3 proteins (2 if you get small bowl). I chose salmon, tuna and spicy tuna. I think the other choices were yellowtail, tofu or shrimp. You then choose a sauce(s) they will mix your proteins with. I chose original with a little spicy. You then choose 2 premium toppings (seaweed salad, crab salad, etc) and finally whatever normal toppings you want like cilantro, cucumber, some fruit, etc. I have to say it in no way compared to any of the poke I had in Hawaii. But, it was pretty good. I wish they had a few of the mayo based sauces. I thought the salad was missing something, like it needed some extra sauce or something. But overall I liked it. read more

Fresh selection, affordable prices. What else could you ask from a poke place? A regular bowl is under $10 and a large for $12 was big enough for two of us to split! The usual protein/base options were there although the spicy tuna was interesting! Instead of chunks, it was a thinner, almost liquid looking consistency. The server let me try a little sample - melt in your mouth with a good spicy kick. Mix-in variety was good and I especially enjoyed the crispy onion and furikake options. Avocado is extra but only $1 for a good amount. The only thing I do wish is they had a more diverse selection of sauces. Bonus points for the fun Hawaiian drinks and spam musubi and mochi ice cream by the counter. So far, Poke Time is definitely my favorite poke spot in DFW! Can't beat that quantity, quality, and price. read more

We came here during one of its first weeks and it was great. With all the Poke places popping up all over the place, the consumer now has options and can be more discerning in their Poke choice. This place is clean and I like the fact that you can see them making your bowl, unlike some other places locally. Parking is easy in this strip mall. Once in line, they have a menu with pictures of each ingredient, so the newbie can learn and identify what they like. The pricing structure is similar to their competitors, but the fish on this day tasted really fresh. Additionally, it is service with a smile and bowls are packed full of goodness. There is also a self serve condiment section with sauces and spicy mayo. read more

First time here! 2 regular bowls, $8.99 each- choice of 2 scoops of protein, rice, toppings, etc. Pretty standard stuff but I did like how pineapple is a choice of topping! (Yes, I'm one of those pineapple-on-pizza people :-) ) Overall the taste was good but nothing too Wow! Service was average. I asked the cashier for 2 cups of water and he didn't reply/say anything about it being behind us in the corner....they also have spicy mustard, Sriracha and soy sauce back there, as well as the utensils and napkins. Atmosphere- The music was pretty loud and I couldn't really hear my friend who was sitting across from me. First of all, the location's interior design makes a really great first impression. It is decorated like a Korean coffee shop and it is absolutely beautiful and precious. It was very cozy especially during the rainy weather when I went yesterday. Second impression was the very nice lady who was manning the front counter. She was very welcoming. Second, their menu is smaller than the 4 other poke places in the area. Other locations have like 5 different kinds of seaweed in their menu of toppings which I think is too much for a restaurant that caters to a suburban area. But that's just my opinion. This location only allows you 2 sides included with a bowl purchase and unlimited topping. Seaweed salad, edamame and crabmeat are the some of the sides, and you can pick as many toppings as you want. I was initially surprised by their smaller/limitations on sides/toppings but come to think of it, I think it was just enough. Your poke bowl doesn't really need 50 different ingredients in it and this poke joint is keeps it simple. I only got the salmon and it was good and fresh. The bowl overall was good. The crispy onions were okay and might have had a mix of new and old from what it tasted like while I was eating my bowl. I will definitely be back because most importantly, this location is just as good as the other poke restaurants in the area and it's cheaper. Their regular bowl is only $8.99 compared to others that are $10-11. read more

Never coming here again. First of all, the guy helping us was not very nice. Second, he gave me 4 small pieces of tuna, 4 pieces of salmon, & 3 shrimp = and he thinks that is enough for a three meat bowl. Very disappointed. We attempted to point it out at the register when he put my boyfriends bowl next to mine, but he refused to listen... and then tried to act like he didn't understand.
