Been coming here for years and it never disappoints! Bonus: they offer free miso soup. Ambiance: They have an extensive selection of sushi rolls, and you can build your own poke by filling out a sheet. The staff is always kind and accommodating, and the food comes out quickly. Plenty of seating available, and they also offer takeout. Poke: The variety of sauces is great! I love mixing spicy mayo with eel sauce for the perfect balance of spice and sweetness. I always get double salmon scoops, and the fish is consistently fresh and soft. The portions are always consistent.

The food is fresh and amazing! The service is great with greetings and kindness along with a One time free miso soup with an order and the ambiance is very chill but a sit and go type of spot but with a tv and relaxing pop music.

The build-your-own poke was perfectly portioned, and the sashimi seemed fresh. I loved the variety of topping options--definitely made for a tasty, quick, and customizable meal. I personally liked the crab meat and seaweed as toppings, and I also enjoyed the free miso soup (limited to one bowl per person)!

I have been here plenty of times and always enjoy it. The poke and sushi is consistently so good. Also, the complimentary miso soup is delicious and such a wonderful addition. I'm writing this review to share my most recent experience here. I came in with my parents as they were visiting in town. The man behind the counter was so sweet and patient as he answered our questions (my parents haven't had poke before and had many questions). He honored my dad's request of cooking the salmon, and carefully made sure everything was correct. He also threw in three free drinks after. My parent's time in Frisco was made memorable thanks to the service and food here! I will be back and I will always recommend to others!

We have been coming to roll & poke for years! It is the only thing we get to eat when we are in the area because we love it that much! I am always impressed with the quality of their food and the quality of their service. To top it all off, they have free miso soup! It's a very chill atmosphere that usually has soft music playing while you eat. It's fresh. It's delicious! What more could you ask for?

FOOD Build your Own Poke Base - White rice Protein - Salmon and spicy tuna Mix-In - Red onion and furikake Side - Crab meat and seaweed salad Toppings - Masago, crispy fried onions, cucumber, dried seaweed Sauce - Sesame shoyu, spicy mayo, poke sauce The ingredients were very fresh and good. I loved the Salmon. They were also super generous in the scoop of spicy tuna. Usually a lot of places charge for masago but it was nice that it was an option free of charge here. I will say that the sauce was a bit on the heavier side but overall this is probably one of my favorite poke spots. They also give the first bowl of miso soup (which you can serve yourself) complementary. VIBES This is a pretty casual place to have poke and plenty of people come in for lunch. Clean overall. not too much to comment on. SERVICE No complaints about service. Everything was good!

This is my go to place when I am craving poke. The food is prepared fast so you don't have to wait too long. While you wait though, there is miso soup that you can self-serve. Only downside is the staff aren't very interactive. The food makes up for that though. I noticed recently their prices increased a bit, but their serving sizes are fair.

The food is delicious, large portions, quick service (counter order), clean and welcoming interior, polite employees and complementary self serve miso soup. Really the only knock is a rather large menu to decipher...lol. Came in for weekday lunch. It was moderately busy but plenty of space and we got our food in less than 10 minutes.

Delicious poke. Owl! Easy or ding from their website. Tasty, fresh poke bowl. No complaints. Never had fired tofu quite like what they served but it was good Fresh ingredients...perfect portion size, Avocado was extra but a very generous side, thank you, I appreciate that!

Upon walking in, there were already people in line filling out their order. The man in charge of the line behind the counter told them to move aside as they filled out their order, but they didn't do so? So they ended up crowding the small entrance to the shop front. Then the group of people behind up threw their orders in front of us and took their order first??? This restaurant is must be VERY first come first serve at peak hours. I would like to come whenever it is slower. However I WILL say, the man behind the counter was NOT mean or rude at all. He is a VERY kind and nice man, just maybe doesn't know how to control a crowd. Second, it smelled bad inside of the restaurant. The boyfriend and I were reticent to keep our orders, but I was looking around and it seemed clean? We were hungry after a long day of work and errands, so we decided to chance it even though there was a smell and pay for it later-- should it come to that. LOL (risky business) Turns out, the food was great! The fish was firm and didn't taste fishy at all- no odor. The boyfriend's ssusshi burrito was pretty good, he liked it. But the best part was the tempura. it was perfectly fried and crispy and crunchy.

It's one of the few Japanese restaurants in the Dallas area with Japanese chefs and a well-rounded menu offering enough variety for everyone to find something they'll enjoy. The prices are very reasonable for the quality--we would easily expect to spend $50-$75 more for a comparable meal elsewhere. The service is consistently great, too. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys sushi or Japanese food in general.

There were maybe five parties seated when we arrived and we were quickly shown a table of our own. The vibe is simple and basic, because really you're here for the food not the decor. There were a couple of menus for us to choose from this Wednesday afternoon. The Lunch Specials looks wonderful, the Sushi Bar Entrees were a great option or just the rolls themselves. Dani chose the Sushi Bar Entree with 2 rolls and I chose the solo spicy tuna roll. We were so hungry we completely forgot to take photos of our amazing food. The spicy tuna roll was delicious! Prepared perfectly. The rolls were a great size, packed with fresh tuna and tasted wonderful. Dani's two rolls looked incredible and she clearly enjoyed them as well. Our drinks (Dr Pepper and green tea) stayed full while allowing us to enjoy our conversation and our lunch. We both have various activities that bring us over in this area and we both agreed we would come back to enjoy great service and great sushi!

Prices are pretty reasonable at $15-25 a person. The chicken and pork Katsu is crispy and tender. The curry can be adjusted from no spicy to mild to 1-20 spicy. The team is friendly and the space is small( which only adds to the experience) It is like I am back in Tokyo having a curry dish( albeit it is way more expensive here). no notes. Love it! I really wanted to rate this higher because of how helpful she was with cooking the meat, getting our orders in, and making sure we were getting our food. Unfortunately, most of the meat we got was not good. The brisket was cut pretty thick, so when it was cooked it was tough. The galbi was really chewy as well, no matter how much I chewed I just couldn't break it down. Ended up having to spit some of them out. The pork belly and signature steak was good though. As for the sushi, I thought it was better overall and actually preferred it over the meat. There's a seared wagyu sushi that was so good! The shrimp for the shrimp tempura udon was also very oily, but the noodles were good! In the end, it's a good spot to take friends visiting with a very wide range of food items on the menu. We got the $39.99 option, so there was kbbq, sushi, apps, and noodles. I'd maybe come back for the high noon lunch special, but anything kbbq related, I'm looking elsewhere for now.

I think I just found my favorite sushi place in Dallas and maybe ever!…read more Popped in here unassumingly on a Saturday night. I have my usuals in the frisco and Plano area for sushi but I wanted to try something different. All I knew was that Hatsuyuki had good reviews but kept my expectations low But I was blown away. It's a tiny place and there's not a ton of seats so there was about a 30 minute wait but it went quickly. There's a paper menu with a pretty straightforward and simple menu of some appetizers and handrolls but their daily menu on the wall is where they shine. I don't know how often or how much it changes but our server did a great job of explaining everything to us and how to order Let me say this - I'm not really a big handroll fan. I don't love seaweed so I usually avoid them but I've had to change my stance on them after dinner here. Our server told us that they warm their seaweed for the handrolls which gives it a little crisp and it honestly felt like it made all the difference. Every single one was soooooo good! I really feel like whatever we ordered, we couldn't go wrong. Seriously, this is officially one of my new favorite places in DFW period
