Vegetable Ramen with *Extra Chicken Chashu

Ramen was really good and flavourful. They do have few vegeterian options which are really good. However not many options for toppings.

I finally found good ramen in DFW! & I am so happy that this gem is near my work and home! The ramen here compares to what I've had in Japan. I loved the entire space, staff, and of course the amazing food and drinks. Support this wonderful business!! And take a temporary culinary trip to Japan. You will leave here satisfied. No doubt I am going to be a "regular" at Tiger Ramen.

Stopped in for a quick bite to check this place out. What a fun experience and great ramen and hand rolls. Sit at the bar watch them make everything to order. I 100% recommend stopping by, I will now become a regular!

Happened to stop in today on their grand opening day! We tried their full-ramen set and weren't disappointed. We picked the paitan and the onigiri of the day was the salmon onigiri. The paitan was flavorful - nitamago (egg) had a very distinct flavor, menma (bamboo shoot) was definitely very strong - but the fatty bits in the broth stole the show. The salmon onigiri was a bit dry but the rice and seaweed was on point. Place was a bit small, but staff were incredibly friendly! Will be returning!

A tiny Japanese ramen place that reminds me of Japan. I am in love with spicy miso ramen follow by Takoyaki. This place is not for a big gathering type, it's more for couple & small party. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I would highly definitely recommend Tiger ramen for the ramen lover.

Service Food Cleanliness This was our first time and I was happy to give the shop a shot. It was YUMMY and they are constantly evolving their menu with fun seasonal offerings. They have an open kitchen and you can sit at the bar and watch all the magic happen right in front of you. It's good for singles, couples or groups! Defiantly becoming a re-occurring spot for us!

    Tsukemen

Wow, just had an amazing tsukemen here yesterday. The noodles were very good and the broth was rich and flavorful. I've been to Japan multiple times and I'm very picky of Japanese restaurants in the US - this one is legit. Also, staff speaks Japanese so you know it's the right place.

Excellent! We walked in and were greeted with lovely service. The staff was tentative and kind. The ambiance truly resembled a ramen shop from Japan! The staff are Japanese as well. The overall experience felt like home. Now to the good part... the food. What a cultivation of lovely traditional flavors. Onigiris tasted just like mom's but with a special twist! The karaage was perfect and the yuzu sauce was the best!! The fish in the hand-rolls were fresh and the topping paired nicely. Ramen was a delight. The owner study traditional ramen technique in Japan. I cannot recommend this place enough! I saw lots of take out orders too, so that is a nice option if you don't want to dine-in. **I do want to note that it can be a little bit difficult to get to but it is truly a hidden gem.

Great ramen from a spot that just opened up in Mckinney. I got the spicy Ramen and they weren't lying it is spicy! But, I loved it. Broth was rich and flavorful, perfect as is. I do wish they offered more topics without extra charges as the bowl, as is, had minimal topics when its price comparable to those who offer many more toppings. The hand roll was good too, fresh, delicious. Very friendly staff.

This place is so good!! By far our favorite ramen place in McKinney. We've gone about four times since it opened and it's just as good whether you eat there or take it to go! Highly recommended!!

The Paitan has the best broth in DFW. Great customer service as well. Would love to see tsukemen on the menu!

They were interesting and had character. My ramen was okay. I've had a lot of tonkotsu and this was pretty middle of the pack. Lots of toppings which was a plus. Slightly soggy noodles. Chashu had a good flame licked taste but wasn't very tender and was hard to bite. The whole soup tasted weirdly strongly of onion. Bf seemed to decently like his udon, but he noted that it was kind of strong, though he did finish it. Service and atmosphere were lovely and the ladies working were super attentive. Overall I'd pin the experience as average, and find I don't have much more to say about it. I'd try a different main course next time if I return.

The soup base is hard to nail down even for a franchised ramen in my opinion and this restaurant surpass my expectations for it. It was balanced, not to salty and still keep the unami flavor of the ramen. Another plus is they gave out these free fried wonton sheets at the beginning. It gave me a little bit of Mexican restaurant's vibe (as serving nachos). Cons: if you order "spicy" option for your ramen, they just serve you with a chilli paste on side, which resembles gochujang flavor (maybe it is gochujang!!). Its not the spice that I would expect in ramen. Additionally, their eggs are overcooked and under-seasoned for a ramen dish. The service is fast, friendly and attentive.

Since it was my first time here and I arrived 5 minutes before happy hour ended, I ended up ordering 7 appetizers and 1 yakitori and got full off of those before I even got to order any ramen. We also tried the beef tenderloin yakitori. All of it was really good. The vibe in here is good and they played good music. The only non-happy hour item we got was the tsukemen (available after 5 pm). The noodles themselves were good, but I was a little confused by the dipping broth. Tsukemen broth is usually thicker and saltier so it really coats the noodles when you dip them, but this one tasted more like regular ramen broth. I've had the pleasure of eating ramen in Japan and yeah, NO. The reason for the 1 star is because we were the first ones in at 11 and the waitress came in sneezing and wiping her nose with her hand, with her child in tow who by the way was all over the place and many times just standing at our table staring at us eat. I kept watching her to see if she would wash her hands or at least use hand sanitizer but she neglected to do either. The ramen: We ordered the spicy garlic pork shoyu and the spicy chicken broth ramen. The garlic pork ramen had 1 small piece of pork belly and the noodles while a great consistency, tasted like cardboard. The broth suffered from the lack of flavor. The chicken ramen was also pretty flavorless. The nerve of someone to compare this place to Ichiran lol. I will say, the service from the chef and the nose wiping waitress was pleasant but the grossness of her wiping her nose and touching every chair, bowl, utensils and eating her chips at the table across from us with her toddler is enough for us to never go back to this place even if it was the last ramen spot on the planet.

TLDR: Their menu was massive with so many different options which I think is good for people who want to try different things but it may be a little too big of a menu. Food was just ok. It may be beneficial to lessen items on menu and really focus on some key dishes they want to highlight. Everything imo was priced a little on the high side, at least $1-2 more than I would pay for the quality of the dish. They do pack their specialty rolls with a lot of ingredients and with inflation I'm sure they priced it accordingly to keep their business running, so I'm not docking off too much points for that. Review: They offered regular sushi rolls but disappointing to see that yellowtail was not on their menu for rolls (they did have it as an option for 2pc sushi/sashimi). I ordered a smoked salmon 2pc sushi which was pretty good and decently sized so probably worth the ~$5 price point for 2pc. I did not order any other ones from the 2pc menu so not sure if all the fish are portioned that way. Regarding their regular rolls, my husband enjoyed the Philadelphia rolls and said he could taste the smoked salmon, so for both of us a win on the smoked salmon. My other order was part of their specialty rolls...Salmon Lover priced at ~$13 with 8pc. Imo the pieces were quite small for a specialty roll and it tasted ok. There was supposed to be a honey wasabi sauce on there which I felt like was overpowered by the amount of spicy mayo on the dish. I wanted to like it so badly but I figured reading off of the ingredients list that it would have a kick to it, and it did not. It's not marked as a spicy roll, so probably not intended to be spicy? But with spicy mayo and jalapeño surely there would be some mild kick to it, and the flavor just kinda fell flat and tasted like...too much mayo. The highlight of this experience was the service. The young lady who took our order was super nice and cheery. Checked up on us at appropriate times and I saw she was also working on other tasks around the restaurant. I am willing to try this place again in the future as the vibes were nice, it def gives Japanese izakaya and looks like a good place to have dinner with some friends.
