12/25/25...open on Christmas! The parking lot was empty, strange sight to see as this lot is usually full. The restaurant had about 4 or 5 occupied tables, which seems busy for a Christmas lunch. Had a deep fried roll, hub had his regular chicken katsu and bro-in-law got the Hiroshima roll, which is deep fried. All great! Vegan notes included!! Super location in McKinney for a group to share sushi! Staff reserved a table for our large group, and still split the bill. How considerate! There is a vegan roll on the menu labeled veggie roll. It has carrot, avo, and cucumer. Light and delicious. Highly recommend! Also, the sweet potato veggie tempura is delicious. One of my fave places to grab sushi from since it's right there in Downtown McKinney! I've tried a bunch of their rice and riceless rolls, and would have to say they have a good variety for a decent price too. Most of the "normal" rolls run around $6-11 and the specialty rolls are about $13+ depending on what you get. The rolls are a pretty decent size and usually about 6-8 pieces. I typically order an appetizer (my personal fave is the calamari), 2 rolls and a specialty roll, and this typically feeds my husband and I. The staff is pretty nice too and the sushi chefs are usually pretty quick. I would warn you that the weekends and holidays get pretty packed and they're a small space so the wait is quite long. Sun-Thurs is usually a good time to go imo. read more

Although I don't eat sushi, Koji Sushi has a wide variety of delicious items on the menu. The ambiance was sophisticated for being in Stillwater, yet layed back. The service was very good and all of the staff were very friendly. Although I did see a couple of tables of families, this would definitely be the place for date night. read more

For my sushi lovers, skip this place. I cannot recommend this spot for anything besides fried rolls/apps- and even that was subpar. I came here with high expectations considering all of the 5 star reviews and was left super disappointed! To add to the negative first impression, I asked for no avocado on a roll due to my partner's allergy and the server came back to ask if we wanted it taken off of everything, I explained it was an allergy and she cut me off saying she was not done explaining what came with avocado. Wanting to avoid an allergic reaction did not warrant an attitude or any further explanation. All of the nigiri that we ordered were slimy/fishy and I even ended up spitting out my usual favorite nigiri, Otoro. Steer clear if you're looking for fresh, quality sushi. read more

It's in a great spot in downtown Mckinney, easily the best sushi you can get in the area, and each time I enter it's akin to being transported to a whole new world-- thats how nicely made up the interior is! All right if you are not an experienced sushi person and eat rolls this is the place for you. I love how they show fresh Uni when they never have it. For the sushi and Sake novice this place is perfect. Fish is a C grade at best but cover in enough mayo based sauce and you will enjoy. Service is wonderful though. read more

This appears to be a tiny place in the small shopping center on your way downtown, from outside. We got there about 6, so only two tables were occupied. Once we ordered, we each got a small salad with a peanut/ginger dressing (which was incredibly delicious) and since we ordered a bento box, we had one miso soup. My 6 year old devoured the soup. Our order started with spicy edamame, fried dumplings, and egg rolls. The spicy edamame was just that, spicy. Had the ol' nose running a little bit. But I kept going back for more. The fried dumplings were divine when dipped in its sauce. The egg rolls were mighty tasty and super crunchy. The sweet/chili sauce served with the egg rolls is a fav! Then came the sushi, bento box with chicken teriyaki and fried rice. The sushi rolls were HUGE, absolutely huge and worth the money. The tiger's eye was my fav with the jalapeño in the middle plus the cream cheese...that roll slapped! The fried rice was flavorful and smelled delicious. The teriyaki chicken was good as well; highly recommend that and fried rice for those who may not like sushi. Overall, highly recommend trying this place. The fish tastes fresh, and they didn't hesitate when I asked for a couple of additional elements to my roll. The service has been consistently friendly.
