    Tonkotsu Ramen

I went there on a Friday night. The vibe is cute with many decorated paintings. Their soup base is surprisingly delicious for a local ramen shop. The soup base is hard to nail down even for a franchised ramen in my opinion and this restaurant surpass my expectations for it. It was balanced, not to salty and still keep the unami flavor of the ramen. Another plus is they gave out these free fried wonton sheets at the beginning. It gave me a little bit of Mexican restaurant's vibe (as serving nachos). Cons: if you order "spicy" option for your ramen, they just serve you with a chilli paste on side, which resembles gochujang flavor (maybe it is gochujang!!). Its not the spice that I would expect in ramen. Additionally, their eggs are overcooked and under-seasoned for a ramen dish. The service is fast, friendly and attentive.

Wanted ramen and found this nearby. The food was good, although not quite excellent enough for a 5-star rating. Ordered the Tokantsu ramen and the flavors were pretty authentic and the portion sizes were satisfying, making it worth checking out. What really caught my attention when we walked in was the exceptional staff. They were super nice and greeted everyone with big smiles, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The decor is also nice. Not too overdone and has somewhat of a modern feel to it with the authenticity of the cuisine. If you're in the mood for some tasty ramen and appreciate great service, I definitely recommend giving a try if you're in the area!

Hidden Gem!!! I was expecting an order-at-the-counter experience, but was pleasantly surprised to be seated and have service at the table! The food was excellent. The inside of the restaurant is small, but very casual/cute (think Naruto on the wall, 2000's pop music, bamboo, etc). The service was great, and they seemed very happy for our service. I believe the chef even came out and asked us how we enjoyed our food. I will come back to try more menu items!

The service is quick and food is good! I was really impressed with the mix tempura. It was enough to share and so fresh! Will go back

It's probably a great thing I don't live north. With all the ramen places starting to surface, I'd suffer for sure (health wise, supposedly, but not in happiness). I'd actually been here before and don't remember what I ordered, but I returned recently and got the spicy tonkotsu with karaage and my goodness! Yes, I omitted a LOT of things, but I was allowed to sub both garlic and onion flakes instead, and it was perfect. Definitely a major difference from my first visit. Yall, I want to go back today! Chashu was tender, seasoning, broth, and noodles were perfect....I want another bowl now. I went an hour before closing on a weekend and didn't feel rushed or anything. The service was great and everyone was nice. Yes, I'm returning soon!

What a cute little hidden gem in Frisco! Ramen Wahta was a very tasty surprise. I ordered for myself, daughter, and mom for a take out order. I got the chasiu Bao bun, cucumber salad, and the tonkotsu ramen. For my daughter, she got the mango boba, chicken ramen, and takoyaki. For my mom, I got her the veggie ramen with veggie broth. Everything was absolutely delicious! Chasiu bun was delicious as was the cucumber salad. My ramen was hearty and tasty. My daughter enjoyed all of her food especially the takoyaki and boba. My mom is a picky vegetarian and she loved her bowl as well. All in all a good food trip! Would love to dine in next time as the decor is very cute! Thank you Ramen Wahta!

Ohh what a cute little restaurant close to me and I had no idea. We were craving ramen and decided to stop and check them out. Great service, the restaurant is clean and so cozy. I loved the decor. The tonkotsi ramen was very delicious. Next time, I will try the fried squid legs. So glad I found this spot.

A good RAMEN house can be hard to find, but today I took my chances and it was a win! Located in a industrial strip center, Ramen Wahta is inexpensive, delicious, clean, and the staff treat you like family. The katsu had a crunch that is audible and tactile with your teeth and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. Chef said it was GLUTEN FREE as well! The rice was sticky and warm with furukaki cooked to a perfection. Even the orange slices were cold and sweet. The CURRY RAMEN had that traditional homestyle Japanese curry flavor. Half an egg sits nicely presented in the center with finely sliced veggies cooked to perfection. Next to that are slices of tender pork belly. 5 stars all the way around!

    Vegetarian Ramen, add egg

It is seriously the best ramen I've had. I'm not vegetarian but I get that ramen just bc the creamy broth and green noodles are so good. I've also had the curry one, it was to die if you want something heavier! The team is always so nice too!

Came here for my lunch break with the beloved. Everything was delicious! The pork tonkatsu my boyfriend ordered was bigger than we both expected, but was perfectly fried and crunchy! It was perfect thickness for the meat and was not over breaded. My Tonkotsu ramen was rich and flavorful and I added extra black mushrooms. But normally ramen that i havd eaten has a soft boiled egg? The one inside mine was harder boiled so I didn't get that creamy texture and was missing it. Other than that, everything was fine! Although they could turn the music down just a little so I could hear my boyfriend talk.

This is a great spot to go in this chilly, rainey weather! Hot bowl of ramen does so good for the soul. This place has such an extended menu of ramen flavors! From your shoyu, spicy miso, kimchi, seafood, and vegan options! If you aren't feeling like noodle soup, there are great appetizers, rice bowls, and even Chasu buns! I was feeling like having seafood so of course got the seafood ramen bowl. It's HUGE. You get two large green mussels, 2 shrimp, bunch of little scallops, mushrooms, sprouts, and lots of noodle. The broth is clear and flavorful, and not too salty. The hubs went for the tonkotsu ramen and wow that broth is so milky. My younger daughter got the kid's version. I will definitely be getting that next time. Great place in Frisco for ramen!

This is a little gem of ramen tucked inside a shopping plaza. Kinda like a hole in the wall. Their decoration does make you feel like your in Japan eating at a ramen shop. I ordered a hot green tea, which I was provided in a cute little tea pot and they use real leaf for the tea and not a tea bag. From this little detail I could tell that they put a lot of effort in high quality ingredients on all their dishes. I wasn't wrong, the tonkatsu ramen, udon, curry ramen, karage and korokke tasted really good. I just wish that the chia-siu (pork slices) were a tad bigger or more than just 2 pieces due to the small size.

    Tonkotsu Ramen - very good

This is a hidden gem in Frisco! The inside is decorated like a small Japanese bar. The food quality and presentation was great. They have very fast service, you can get in and out in no time so it's a great lunch spot!

All of the fried items were fresh and hot and all the flavors were really balanced. Even the Ramen soup wasn't salty which is a problem I see at many ramen places. Our favorite appetizers were the crab rangoon and the hama rayu but honestly everything that came out was solid. I will say that if you've had shrimp dumpling or Gyoza before, don't expect anything fancy/new here. Pretty standard. The service at this restaurant is on POINT! The servers are always hustling and checking in often despite how busy things are. Whoever is managing the staff and whoever is cooking in the kitchen is doing a bang-up job. We were in and out in 30min. We love efficiency! This is a great place to go after work or just to get a yummy bite to eat. The Happy Hour makes this place so worth it! We placed our order, and the karaage salad arrived first within about 10 minutes. Sadly, the ramen came out almost 30 minutes later and wasn't plated cleanly. There was broth all over the edge of the bowl, and I even think the server's finger was in the broth when she dropped it off. Additionally, the ramen was missing the egg, and the noodles were overcooked. One of the waitstaff seemed to be the only one actually working, as he was helping about 95% of the customers in the restaurant. Overall, I highly doubt I will be returning to this location anytime soon.

We got some rolls and ebi tempura udon to go. Speaking to japanese attention to detail, each to-go bag came with a hard cardboard cut out at the bottom of the paper bag to prevent spilling/caving through. Utensils packed were good quality disposable chopsticks, and for each portion of sushi there was a ramikin of wasabi, ginger, and both regular and low sodium soy sauce packets. and this sounds silly but high quality napkins included in the to-go as well. the rolls came with great generous portions of fresh fish. but what super surprised me was the ebi udon. the ebi tempura were HUGE.
