I'd like to start by saying that the food here is AMAZING and very decently priced! I love coming here when i'm in laguna beach. This being said I do have some grievances. The store itself is really cramped and if there's more than one group ordering at a time the line goes outside. there is also very limited seating inside. Second, the parking situation is not great. If you're in a hurry, I wouldn't come here because it will take a while to find parking, especially on weekends or during the summer. read more

Poke tiki is my FAVORITE poke chain in the entire state, and im a regular at the newport beach and costa mesa location and i usually love the laguna location aswell. Came here 7/6 with my friends when visiting Laguna and had one of the worst experiences ever. Initially the poke bowl tasted fine for me, but 10 min after eating I felt an extreme wave of nausea hit me. Something about the food must have been bad because I threw up all of it (and then some) and knew I had food poisoning. What's crazy is that 5/5 of my friends also got extreme food poisoning and threw up, so we all knew it was because of the food. A few days later after all of this happened, my friend called to let them know about our situation and make sure that they're checking the quality of their food. Upon doing so, the manager rudely dismissed my friend by telling her that no one else had called in with the same issue so it essentially wasn't their problem. I'm super disappointed by my experience, and hope that no one else has to go through what we went through. A little store you can find in Laguna Beach to get your poke cravings. This is slightly tucked into the building so you might miss it while driving. They simply have the options of bowls, or whatever you like with your selections of rice, proteins, toppings and sauce. I do not believe they have any house special bowls so it's basically your creations only. When it comes to places like this I look at freshness and quality of the seafood and toppings, and how well the plate and make their sauces. I got a 2 item bowl with white rice, tuna and spicy tuna. I got most of the toppings but I made sure to have their poke sauce and spicy mayo. It turned out very nice and flavorful so I definitely enjoyed it. The freshness for the seafood was there too. The inside is tiny and has a few seating areas with a view of PCH so it's very simple and nice. Definitely recommended for poke lovers when in Laguna beach. read more

We went to this poke tiki location two times in the past week and when it's an all male staff they give very small portions and when we asked for a little more ginger they wanted to charge us when the Costa Mesa location didn't. I only make it down to Laguna maybe once or twice a month from Santa Monica, and I don't know the area well enough for establishments that suit my palate. Poke Tiki was a nice new find for me, and I absolutely love it. Like all tiki places, they had a nice variety of pick-and-choose bases, proteins, sauces, and toppings. What a cool little spot. The prices are reasonable and the sizes are great. A variety of topics are available to be added to your poke. The minus star is because their Salmon is farm-raised. I prefer wild-caught. The salmon did taste good though I am just not a big fan of farm-raised. On the plus side, they had lots of avocado and mango for toppings. Otherwise, the food was meh. Nothing impressive, nothing bad just meh. I was hoping their house sauce would also be something to impress but even though it was good, it was just good. I think they may also lack ambiance.
