This place is a delicacy, every time my wife and I are in town it's a mandatory stop. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. The food is absolutely delicious every single option and we've tried everything.. believe me. The restaurant is in a nice area just steps from beautiful views of one of the most beautiful beaches in California. Go Extra Spicy

Excellent Ramen

Food was so amazing I wanted to order the whole left side of the menu. 10/10 Was served by some super buff guy that looks like he definitely skipped leg day but by how fast we was bringing out our food and drinks he gets a pass. 10/10 The bar seemed super cool to sit at but we were in a booth which imo was a pretty solid experience 10/10 Ramen was delicious, the Udon did catch my eye for next visit for sure

Chill beach restaurant ambiance! Food came out SO quickly (5mins or so) and the waitress always immediately came by to refill our water cups. The food was very salty though, hence all the water refills. I recommend their calamari, so tender and with the right amount of batter. If you're looking for a nice lunch by the coast after a beach/hiking activity, this is the place to be! :)

Spicy edamame ugh I couldn't get enough!! Ramen so amazing

Service was absolutely amazing, food was even better. Small little ramen place is the type of places my husband and I love. All the workers so sweet.

Early dinner on 07/13/25.

Good ramen. Friendly staff. Perfect location by the beach. Would definitely go back and recommend to others.

Quick service, great food, and good vibes!! Gu Ramen has everything you need and more! I cannot wait to come here again, the servers were so funny and kind, they answered all our questions and helped my friend pick the perfect bowl when he was indecisive. I can't wait to return soon!! (Please pardon the terrible photos, we were having too much fun!!)

Chill spot good service and the ramen and udon always hits. The mild tofu udon is so good and lowkey 2 meals. The fried rice is also pretty good. The price is good too. This on a rainy day hits. The spicy level is spicy tho watch out

We were happy to find a ramen place after hiking... wanted the soup. Thankful that we could choose the level of spiciness. Also, the server asked if we had any allergies or sensitivities. Good job! The tonkotsu broth did not disappoint. Yum! We were happy with how plentiful the noodles were. Could've been cooked a tad longer. The chashu was good. So good that we would've probably enjoyed another piece and a few more toppings. If we had more time, we would've tried the tapas. The menu looked great. The restaurant gets busy during dinner. There were about six booths, a big table and a bunch of spots at the bar. We only had to wait a few minutes after writing our names on the waitlist before we got seated.

WOW! WOW! So we were strolling to downtown and decided to try the GU Ramen restaurant. Super cool inside with nice our seating. And HOLY SMOKES best pork belly sliders I've ever had. Wife got the pork belly ramen and again some of the best ramen ever...the flavors were amazing. Our waiter, Brandon was fantastic, super helpful, so friendly and made the experience even better. Can't wait to try everything on the menu...yummolicious and our dog in backpack couldn't have agreed more...one of the best restaurants on our foodcation.

They have friendly staff, tasty food, more like a pub bar with music than a ramen place.

The place is clean, restrooms were tidy, and the food was fine but definitely not authentic which was expected because it's a franchise with many locations. Our server was very kind, he seemed really new and timid but he was very attentive. We ordered a couple bowls of ramen, a bento box, and a sushi roll. After a couple minutes the server returns and tells us that the sushi rice isn't quite ready so it'll be a couple minutes, no problem for us. After a couple more minutes he comes back and seems really hesitant to say what he wants to say but finally comes out with "I'm really sorry but I won't be able to serve the sushi roll or the sushi with that comes with the bento box, I don't think the chef wants to make it." Given the restaurant opens at 11:30 and we were the only customers there with an arrival time of 12:45 I expected 1. The sushi rice would be ready because it was over an hour after opening 2. For the chef to make whatever is available on the menu. My family isn't one to make a scene so we let the server know that it was fine and we would order something else. The restaurant is small enough that you hear every exchange and when our server went back to give our order the two chefs spoke to each other in Spanish and then to the server in english. My family and I are filipino but unfortunately for the chefs in the back I do understand Spanish and all I will say is that they were definitely giving our server a hard time. I try my best to be very gracious because you never know what someone is going through but I will stay true to my experience and what I witnessed. I personally do not condone any bullying and so I really did not appreciate the way they were treating our server or the effect it had on our dining experience. Won't be returning to this location.

And as always, Marugame did NOT disappoint! The udon is always fresh & chewy perfection, the broth is flavorful as ever (and even hotter now, which is a plus!) and I love that they now have a self-serve bar for green onion & tempura toppings. Gotta love customizing your bowl just the way you like it! The vibe is chill and comforting, with plenty of spacious seating and great service. Their online menu clearly showed a vegan option, but when we arrived, we were told they had removed it and no longer offered it. If you're vegan, your choices are extremely limited, so don't rely on their online menu being accurate. The staff was also rude, unhelpful, and completely unwilling to accommodate even simple requests or modifications. Their attitude was basically, "What you see is what you get." Instead of trying to help or offer alternatives, they made us feel like we were inconveniencing them just by asking questions. On top of that, the restaurant was unbelievably loud. There were kids screaming throughout the place, and it was so noisy that we could barely hear the people sitting with us. Good food doesn't make up for misleading menu information, rude service, zero flexibility, and an unpleasant atmosphere. I definitely would not recommend this place based on my experience.

It was a Friday night and surprisingly we were sat pretty quick. Started with edamame and they were very good and presented nicely. The California roll wasn't anything to write home about but they were large. The crunch roll was one of my favorite I have ever had but a tad on the sweet side. I liked that it wasn't too crunchy like some rolls are. It is surgical in its layers of crunch. Another roll I liked was the dragon roll. The rolls are on the larger side which is good but they match the price. The Tonkotsu ramen was pretty bland so I recommend adding some spice or sauce to spruce up the broth but the ingredients were all tasty. Overall it's a decent place to get sushi. Service was excellent and quick and they always checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Worth checking out if you are close by but I was neither super impressed nor upset we ate there either.

We all started with cocktails and then ordered a bottle of wine to enjoy with our meal. I was a little slower on finishing my cocktail but also agreed to a glass of wine with my guests. The comment to me was along the lines of "double fisting it tonight, hey?" I'd accept and laugh at that in a bar, but not at an exclusive dining location. Later we asked what the name "Raya" meant, as that's our pups name, and was told "it's stingray, obviously in Spanish". Not sure what's obvious about that since the menu isn't Spanish or Latin American leaning. Probably would go back, but would leave straight away if we were seated in the same server's section. Highly disappointed.

It's a little different from the more traditional cold soba with a standard dipping sauce. Instead, you dip the soba into a warm, savory broth with duck, and that's exactly what makes it so memorable for us. Neither of us are normally huge fans of duck, but we are obsessed with it here. The broth is incredibly flavorful, and paired with their soba, it's amazing. We haven't found anything else quite like it nearby. We also really enjoy their tempura. The breading is light and crispy, and it pairs perfectly with the soba. Another thing we love is that you can get free refills of the soba noodles, and they definitely don't skimp on the refill portions either. Our most recent visit was especially memorable because of our server, Patty, who was incredibly kind and made an already great experience even better. Definitely have to give a shoutout to her! Overall, we absolutely love Soba Izakaya Minami and always look forward to coming back. The Duck Dipping Soba alone keeps this in our regular rotation and is something I'd definitely recommend trying.

Abby is the reason we fell in love with Webb's in the first place. From our very first visit, she made us feel like we belonged there. Her warmth, personality, attentiveness, and genuine care for the people she serves are something you simply don't encounter often enough anymore. She has this incredible ability to make an already wonderful experience feel personal, and every time we return, she reminds us why we keep coming back. There truly aren't enough words to express how much we appreciate her. She's the kind of person who turns first-time visitors into lifelong regulars, and for us, that's exactly what happened. And Matt? Hands down one of the best bartenders I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. His knowledge, craftsmanship, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality are second to none. He's incredibly talented at what he does, and you can tell he takes pride in every drink he makes. Between Abby's exceptional hospitality and Matt's talent behind the bar, these two represent everything that makes Webb's special. My wife and I live here in Aliso Viejo, and after hearing so many wonderful things about Webb's, we finally made our way in for a much-needed night out after having our baby. Holy smokes, what an experience! From the food to the drinks to the people, we were absolutely blown away. What started as a rare night out together quickly became one of our favorite places in the city. Since that first visit, I've purchased three bottles of their Purloiner Bourbon, which I genuinely consider one of the best bourbons I've ever tasted. I swear by it and recommend it to just about everyone I meet. With four different whiskeys, incredible rum, fantastic vodka, beautifully crafted cocktails, and an outstanding beer selection, there's truly something for everyone. And don't even get me started on their Webb's Super Crisp beer. Absolutely phenomenal! The food deserves just as much recognition. My wife and I absolutely devour their wontons, and their burger lunch special has quickly become one of my favorite things to enjoy whenever I have a weekday off and can sneak in a cold beer with lunch. Everything we've had has been exceptional. What I appreciate most, though, is that Webb's has become more than just a place to eat and drink. It's become somewhere we feel welcomed, somewhere we're excited to bring friends and family visiting from out of town, and somewhere we're genuinely proud to support a local business. So much of that feeling goes back to Abby and the experience she created for us from day one. She was our introduction to what makes Webb's different, and she continues to be one of the biggest reasons we love coming back. Webb's Grainworks is an absolute staple of Aliso Viejo and a tremendous addition to our community. It's the kind of establishment every city wishes it had, and we're fortunate enough to have it right here in our backyard. To the ownership, Abby, Matt, and the entire team: Thank you for the incredible hospitality, the outstanding food and drinks, and for creating something our family has genuinely grown to love. Abby, especially, thank you for making that very first visit so memorable and for treating us with the same warmth and kindness every time we've returned. You helped make Webb's a special place for our family, and that means more than you know. You've earned lifelong customers, and I'll continue recommending Webb's to anyone who will listen. The Straight to the Point Burger had a super tender patty that practically melted in your mouth, but I felt like it was missing something. Maybe a little more seasoning or a nice char on the patty would've made it better. The thick-cut fries we ordered separately were pretty basic and just lightly salted. The Angry Chicken Sandwich had a strong cumin flavor, and the spice definitely packed a punch. Overall, a great spot to grab drinks and food with friends as the service was quick! The Mango Ginger Fizz and Lucky Wings were my absolute favorites.
