Customized poke bowl orde

I ordered from the Washington DC location and it was pretty good. Definitely expect a small serving of fish and mostly rice but the spicy mayo was good and the toppings were perfect. I got the 2 for 1 special on uber eats so both bowls are the spicy tuna poke bowl. The fish was fresh and the toppings were delicious!

I'm so glad that I discovered this place because OMG…read more.. My bowl was literally filled to the top, and I mean FILLED! All the ingredients were fresh, my order was fulfilled quickly, and the price point is comparable with other poke bowl places in the area. I'm a foodie and I can eat - but when I tell you that your bowl is filled, I really mean it because I had some leftover The shop is located in the strip mall with Aldi, and it's a little nook where everything is neatly placed to create your custom bowl. An open parking lot shared with the strip mall, so no issues with finding parking. Staff is super friendly as well!

I'm extremely impressed by their poke! The service was great and they really pack your poke bowl…read morewith toppings (which are unlimited, by the way) with generous portion sizes! I highly recommend getting the 2 proteins (large size). More protein plus the bowl is considerably larger for just $3. To ease the ordering process, there are paper menus that you can mark so they can build your custom bowl more efficiently. The fish is fresh and they have a wide variety of toppings. I love their spicy mayo and always choose the house sauce. They were so kind to even give me a complimentary milk tea once or twice, which I was so surprised to receive!!! Their bubble tea is delicious - I've gotten their passion fruit green tea with bubbles and now their matcha milk tea. My family all loved their bowls as well. Hopefully they stay open for a long time - best poke in MoCo!

Literally drive 90 min from PA to Halo's because the food is THAT good…read more Halo Hawaiian in Maryland is one of those places you go to because you're hungry, not because it looks flashy -- and honestly, that works in its favor. The space is basic, but the food is what keeps people coming back. The portions are big without feeling sloppy. The chicken katsu is solid: crispy on the outside, still juicy inside, and not drowned in sauce. The BBQ plates are dependable -- sweet, smoky, and cooked well -- especially if you like a mix of meats. Nothing feels overdone, and that's kind of the point. The mac salad deserves a mention because it actually tastes like mac salad, not some watered-down side. Creamy, simple, and it pairs well with everything else on the plate. Rice is cooked right, which shouldn't be a big deal, but it is. It's not trying to be trendy or upscale Hawaiian food. It's just straightforward comfort food that fills you up and tastes good. If you're looking for a reliable spot when you want something hearty and familiar, Halo Hawaiian gets the job done.

I'm back again! I…read moregrabbed some takeout and decided to try the Kalua pork meal with white rice and mac salad. I also got some teriyaki sauce on the side and I'm glad I did because the pork definitely needed a little sauce. There were onions in the pork that I wished were cooked a bit more, they basically steamed. The flavor was delicious but the takeout bag leaked pork juice (?) all over my other groceries so that kinda sucked. That's the only reason for my 4 stars this time, but the food was amazing as always!
