Half and Half with 3 Protein
    Jolie L.

Food was good but missing too many things in my bowl. I ordered 3 proteins with half sushi rice and half zucchini noodle for my bowl. Only found 2 proteins and rice, missing one protein and no zucchini noodle at all. As for topping, only one small piece of kale I found. Ridiculously a large amount of Japanese ginger. Missing cilantro, missing corn, missing lettuce salad. Also, they don't have option to put dressing on the side so they mixed 3 difference sauce in my bowl. Overall, the taste was not too bad but I don't know what I'm eating. I don't know how's the sauce supports to taste like because they all mix up together. Recommend to watch them making or check your bowl before you leave.

Solid poke spot! I came super hungry, so anything would've satisfied me for the time being. This one is located in The Spot which has quite a few other restaurants inside. They have a kiosk ordering system which is super slow if you're waiting behind other people since they have to customize their entire bowl. However, if you go up to the cashier to order it's a lot quicker and more efficient since they add your toppings as you go like normal poke places. I got a regular bowl with salmon and marinated tuna, and for the toppings I got the crab and seaweed salad, mango, a bunch of the fresh veggies, and topped it off with spicy ponzu and eel sauce. Everything was delicious! The crab salad was a bit subpar to the ones I'm used to, but the fish tasted fresh and so did all of the toppings. The sauces were also especially good and helped bring everything together. For something convenient and delicious, poke always hits the spot and I'd certainly come back if I were craving it.

The amount of food I got was totally worth the price. I turned my bowl into 2 meals! I liked how everything tasted. The fish (salmon and spicy tuna) were great, and there was a generous amount of toppings. Ordering was super easy at the kiosk. There were so many topping and sauce options to choose from at mostly no extra charge. I would 100% come back and get poke bowls from here again. FYI: there is a free item if you check in with Yelp! Hopefully it's still valid.

Context: Montgomery County is in Phase 2 Reopening of the COVID-19 pandemic at the time of this review. Simply can't get enough. The Spot takes online orders on the ChowNow platform and provides updates to your order status. Fairly easy and streamlined process! My takeout order became an eat-outdoors experience thanks to the weather and shaded patio. Highly recommend the Honey Wasabi sauce if you're a fan is wasabi, though not enough to clear your sinuses. Healthy options, high customization, and fair portion size make PokiDC a win.

I've been to this location a few times now and have been pleased overall. The proteins and toppings are always fresh and the sushi rice is cooked well. Not too vinegary or sticky. Prices are reasonable. Staff is generally pleasant, with a couple never cracking a smile. My only complaint about Poki DC is the amount of toppings you get, which varies by who is helping you out that day. I don't expect to leave with a whole mound of toppings, but please give me more than just a pinch a things! My go-tos are: -Protein: spicy tuna and marinated salmon -Toppings: crab salad, seaweed salad, cilantro, cucumber, green onion, and jalapeno -Sauce: Spicy ponzu, always on the side (they put way too much otherwise!) -Crunchy: Bonito fish flakes This Poki DC is located in The Spot. There is plenty of parking in the lot adjacent to The Spot or along the street.

One of my togo lunch places when I am at work. I usually get the two protein bowl with white sushi rice. I really like the build our own method. I like adding the toppings I like. I also usually ask for the sauce on the side and use it as a dipping sauce, personally I don't like putting sauce into my food and mixing it. I'm glad I was able to find a good poke place near work!

Came here for a quick drink! Got a classic taro milk tea! It was $7 and change for 2! Super spacious and cute place to come talk, hang out and drink some boba tea! Will want to come back for the poke bowls!

First off the customer service was very friendly and had my order right the first time. The salmon seems very fresh and the taste definitely supports it. The veggies were fresh as well as I bite into the crunch and healthy flavors emerge. I had the spicy sauce on my poke bowl and it was very delicious and not too spicy. The price is very reasonable under $11. I would recommend anyone who loves poke to check out Poki DC!

A perfect place to grab a quick small bite of Musubi and triangle Kimbop inside Tyson's mall…read more We got Spam original Musubi and Teriyaki Kimbop. Both were very delicious. Pretty good size for the price. The service is very quick with kiosk order. The place clean with few available seatings.

Well, well, well! Let's just go straight to the point...the musubi needs a lot of work--A LOT!!!…read more 1. The rice -- WTH! The rice was so soggy!!!They put too much water when making rice, too much water!!! It's so easy--it's one to one (one cup of rice to one cup of water). Taking a bite felt like I was eating mush! Each bite was just plain nasty!!! DANG!!! 2. The menu -- many items on the menu are NOT even Hawaiian (i.e., Hawaiian Macaroni, Hawaiian Kimchi, etc.) -- in Hawaii, we DO NOT eat macaroni and cheese. The ONLY macaroni we eat is Macaroni Salad. As for Hawaiian Kimchi--there is NO SUCH THING! Thats a Korean dish and NOT a Hawaiian dish. Dont disrespect a Korean dish like that! 3. Plastic Wrap -- have we not learned that wrapping hot food items are bad to be wrapped in plastic!?!? Come' on people! There's chemicals in the plastic and when in contact with heat--the chemicals are now on the food!!! One positive...they have hand wipes to wipe your hands before and after you eat! Sorry but as a guy that was born and raised in Hawaii--I know what a good musubi is and this place DOES NOT CUT IT!!! Such a travesty and a disgrace to a Hawaiian delicacy! I ain't coming back here and I'm better off just making my own musubi--THE RIGHT WAY!!! GET IT RIGHT CAPITAL MUSUBI!!!
