I'm giving them a 3.75/5. 'm not quite sure what to make of this place. It's bubble tea, fro yo, and Vietnamese food. I was in the strip for dinner next door and saw fro yo so I knew I had to come here after for dessert. They only had 4 froyo flavors and one sorbet. One of their machines was out of service so it's possible that they might typically have more flavors available. It wasn't the best froyo I've had but it wasn't bad. The topping options were ok but the setup was odd. They had candy bars but most weren't crushed up. Most of them were mini size bars (like mini Snickers) in their whole form. Not how I want my chocolate/candy on my froyo. Everything had lids but some of the lids didn't have handles so we awkwardly had to maneuver them while spooning out the toppings (you get your own toppings). We got here 1.5 hours before closing so I hope the lids were only on there because they were preparing to close. I haven't been since before COVID, so was nice to stop in and see how things are. They have changed quite a bit since their early days. When they first opened they were strictly a frozen yogurt place and bubble tea. Now they offer less frozen yogurt (but still have a nice selection) and they have a nice offering of Vietnamese food. They have beef and vegetarian pho, as well as other selections. They have also added pretty murals to the walls. On this trip, we tried Taro Milk tea, Peach milk tea and a beef pho with an extra side of vegetables. The owner was there and was super helpful about my options. The pho was piping hot when I got home and tasted really good. They gave me a generous side of vegetables. The pho was my favorite part of the meal. Our milk teas were good. I personally prefer a "stronger" taro and could have done with it being slightly less sweet (I usually don't add any sweet to my teas, or almost nothing). You can't control the amount of sweetness here. My daughter liked her peach tea but thought it was a little too sweet for her but still good. Each Boba shop has a different take on their milk teas (we're boba addicts and have tried most of the ones in Montco), so I think over time, we've developed a taste for a certain type of milk tea. I was pleasantly surprised by the nice food additions to their menu and thought they were delicious. I just had boba here- my husband ordered the Thai Tea which was mediocre at best, and I got the strawberry milk tea with popping bubbles. Boba was not fresh and the taste was medicinal. I really wanted to like this since the place was so cute, but I really couldn't even finish the drink. read more

Located in the Urbana Village Shopping Center, Yo Bubble not only offers bubble tea, but frozen yogurt and Vietnamese food as well. I ordered a small mocha with boba. My mocha was good (not too strong and not super sweet) and the boba was cooked well (soft and not too chewy). I also tried some of the strawberry and raspberry milk tea. Both were good, but surprisingly enjoyed the raspberry one more. I like how for the base of your bubble tea you could choose between green tea, milk tea, or a smoothie. For your tea flavor, note that syrup or powder is used. Also, if you are looking for a place with lots of toppings, Yo Bubble isn't for you as they only offer boba or jelly. Service was friendly and my drinks were made pretty quickly. There's tons of parking in the lot out front. They do have lunch specials and coupons, so definitely be sure to check those out when ordering. If you are in the area and looking for bubble tea, I suggest checking out Yo Bubble. I plan to be back when I'm in Urbana and will probably try some of their Vietnamese food as well. read more

We love coming to Yo Bubble. During COVID, there is no dine in but they are working hard to ensure they are following safety protocols. The staff is wearing gloves and face masks and there is plenty of hand sanitizer. I recommend ordering the lychee smoothie with popping bubbles and the traditional Vietnamese coffee. Yo Bubble even serves traditional Vietnamese pho, which is a broth soup served with veggies, beef and noodles. We order the pho SATE last time and it was delicious! A little spice in a peanut butter style broth. My mouth waters just thinking about it. Also they are serving to-go frozen yogurt and you add your own toppings. I've gotten pho here for lunch a handful of times, mostly when I'm too lazy to drive in to Frederick for better pho. The pho itself is good- not great, but not bad. However, the customer service is bad. Sometimes I call or show up at 11:30 and they aren't open- once I waited until 12:15 to even place an order. Once I went to pick up my order and waited 10 minutes in the restaurant before the cashier gave me my food, but it was sitting on the counter the whole time. Today, I placed an order for three pho, one without vegetables, and two orders of spring rolls. When I got to the restaurant, they said they didn't have my spring rolls ready. After waiting for 10 minutes, they pulled a bag from the counter that had been ready the whole time. When I got home, they had only given me one order of spring rolls and instead of a pho without vegetables they gave me a pho without chicken and with vegetables. Individually the customer service issues were small, but it's gotten to the point where I dread going there. I think it's finally not worth my time. read more

So I am from California and we know how to do boba right so I have been craving some since I've been on vacation. I ordered the green tea with lychee and boba. I would say that this is actually a pretty good drink...although I didn't know they added syrup with the green tea (should've read the menu whoops). Anyway, I think it was pretty good and a little too sweet for my taste, I would try their Thai tea or viet coffee next time I'm in town. And their fro yo too! read more

I've been to this place probably 75 times over the course of 5 years. How many times have I left with actual bubble tea? Probably 60% of the time. They are never open. They don't keep their hours updated online. And if they are open-- don't expect they have bubbles available for your BUBBLE tea. I wish I didn't have to write this place off because their bubble tea is not bad-- it's just always a toss up when you're able to get it. New to the area and was so happy to find bubble tea WITH delicious Vietnamese sides with it! I only got lychee bubble tea and cha gio but both were great. The cha gio is on top of French fries! This is the cleanest place with extraordinary service. They wiped down my bags and showed me the meat before they added it so I knew it was fresh. They also give out masks for those who can not afford one. Go give your business to these amazing people- pho was delicious, but next time ask them to put the meat in the broth before you leave. I have been to this place many times just because it's the only close by option for us. My regular go to is Thai milk tea, it sometimes taste good and sometimes too sweet and sometimes spoiled . Now a days there are out of small size and you were forced to order the large , I wish at-lest they provide small quantity in the large but NO only option is large which is very frustrating. We came here for a quick frozen treat after eating next door at Black Hog BBQ. They had a decent amount of frozen yogurt choices-nothing out of the ordinary. I chose a pull each of chocolate, chocolate peanut butter, and salted caramel. My boyfriend chose chocolate and chocolate peanut butter. I was not that impressed with the topping choices, not a whole lot of variety it seemed. I chose crushed Oreos to go over mine plus a few squeezes of Nutella. The price was pretty inexpensive as it was $7 for both of our desserts. While I don't see myself coming here again due to the location, I was appreciative it was next door after a semi-disappointing dinner since dessert always makes everything better. read more

Their "extra" charges have gotten out of hand. The keep making everything for their bubble tea cost extra including the bubbles which now range from .50-1.00 extra. There is no posting that they charge extra to put bubbles in their BUBBLE tea. I get costs are going up with inflation but if that's the case just raise the price of the tea instead of falsely advertising its cost and not telling your customers of the constant increase in price being added on as extra fees and changes until after they get the bill. A combination of two of my favorite things - bubble tea and frozen yogurt. The staff here is very friendly. Frozen yogurt is self-serve and I can't remember how many handles they have right now... but I think its 8. They have a good assortment of fresh fruits, candies, and nuts for toppings - what surprised me as a good idea with this place is that they have COVERS for their toppings. Many of the other places I've ventured have topping bars just out in the open. My favorite is the original flavor because I like the tart yogurt. For their bubble tea, I've tried mango milk tea and I can't complain. Their bubbles were a little harder than I would have liked, but still good. I'm such a sucker for bubble tea! I love it here! The fabulous thing is that you can really go outside the box and create something totally off the charts. Like lychee? Passion fruit? Mango? Can't decide? Mix them all! The frozen yogurt is also very good and they always have a selection that will work for everyone. There's the no-fail original, a variety of rich flavors and fruity flavors. I can't stand places that have 14 rich flavors and just 2 fruit flavors (ahem, 16 handles). The place seems to be very new. I was there because I was visiting my sister and needed something on a hot day. It was just a perfect match. I love Yo-Bubble!! It's so awesome! I've never had so many options as I did when I was there. Its great that they have lids for their toppings unlike most frozen yogurt places. My most favorite flavor has to be the original tart! I love all the fruity flavors. Yummmmmm! They also have bubble tea. I've tried it for the first time and the staff there recommended mixing the flavors. I ended up getting a strawberry kiwi green tea with bubbles. It was good because I have so many options by just mixing the flavors. In the Fro-yo class, I really like Yo Bubble! It's not a chain or franchise (they should be), but give the appearance of all the others like Tutti Frutti, Sweet Frog or Yogi Castle. Although they don't have as big a selection as some of the others, the toppings are plentiful and flavors are unique. Do not miss the raspberry creme when it's available, mix with a little chocolate, add toppings and it's great. The Peanut Butter is also good. Not as "creamy" as Yogi Castle, but definitely creamier than Tutti Frutti. Friendly staff, locally owned and definitely the least expensive of the fro-yo stores at around 46c an ounce. read more
