Taichi Bubble Tea - 1 Protein Sushi Burrito

Taichi Bubble Tea

I've had Taichi in other places before, but on a road trip I found this location here and decided…read moreto stop here for lunch. I had a sushi burrito and a poke bowl. For both, I had their signature dishes. I had salmonopoly for the sushi bowl and a chicken poke for the poke bowl. I really enjoyed both!

What a cute little eatery in a random strip mall in Frederick, MD right off the 15/70/270 highway…read moresystems. If you weren't looking for it, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't go to it. So, you have to know to go! I'm glad I went, because it is a nice change of pace for fast casual food compared to other options in this area. It is a chain that has several dozen locations elsewhere in the US, so if you like it, I guess they have an app. My favorite part is the toy pandas that are all over the place as decoration - super cute. The place is fresh and clean, and the staff is efficient and friendly. The menu includes my two favorite fast Asian foods: sushi burritos and rice bowls. Ummm... yes, please. I really like how they don't limit the toppings really at all, so, if I'm ordering a rice bowl, I can add 15 veggie toppings on it for the same price as 5 toppings. I'm pretty sure they scale accordingly so overall you still have a similar amount, but you just get more variety when you choose more toppings. The bases for the rice bowl are brown rice, white rice, and then sesame options for both. I find the brown rice the best for me, as after you add the sauces to your bowl, everything gets a little too flavorful and overwhelming. Mostly for me, the more sauces there are, the more salt, so, that was what led me to get fewer sauces rather than more. The toppings are seasoned, too like seaweed salad and pickled ginger. Your veggie topping options can also include without extra charge avocado! Then of course traditional veggies can be added, too, as many as you want like broccoli, corn, cucumbers, carrots, pickled radish, red onion, mushroom, tomato, green pepper, jalapeño pepper, and then crispy toppings like fried onion or garlic and teriyaki seaweed, and other toppings like scallions, mango, and cilantro, and that doesn't even include the sauces! The food is very fresh and delicious. Very flavorful and just a fun make-your-own "salad" or "poke" bowl or sushi burrito. There are many preselected mixes if you can't decide, too. This place is also very lovely for smoothie, bubble tea, fruit tea and milk drinks. There is definitely something for everyone, even if you don't like bubble tea. So many options, it's incredible. Love this place and will probably be back again!

Originally when I was browsing bakeries and pastry shops in the area, the listing said coming soon,…read morebut as I was milling about on Market after getting some fragrant teas from Voila! I saw people coming out of here! I didn't hesitate, I skipped right on across the street to see what I could see. The cutest Korean bakery! The same bakery you know and love from H Mart now has a stand alone location in the heart of downtown Frederick. I took a spin around, snapped some photos and then grab a tray to load up with goodies. I love that its self-serve. You can always get the one you want without the awkward and mostly ineffective pointing and direction giving from behind the glass lol. I picked up a nice mix or sweet and savories. I think my favorite was the spicy jalapeño ham & bacon roll. It was soft, spicy, salty, and just the right amount of sweet from the dough. You can order finer pastries, coffee, and boba tea from the counter and eat in or take it to go. I'll be coming here every time I'm in town for sure!

It turns out it was a Korean bakery & cafe which was unexpected for the area. We got the salt bread & egg tart which were both great! They also included an extra small pastry as a bonus which was nice. As for the teas, they were on the sweeter side so I wasn't the biggest fan. I wish we could adjust the sweetness and the boba was ok, it hardened up pretty quickly. I'd return for thr pastries but not the boba.

WOW. This is a fun…read moreand unique bakery! First off, they have both savory and Sweet! Their counter has an array of individually wrapped breads and a enclosed casing that you self select some baked goods and desserts. The decor in here was awesome. Tons of decorations that scream trendy. The staff was nice, they explained the process well. This is probably the only flaw of this place. There aren't many directions on the self service bar if you are getting items to go. You still get a tray, load it up, and the counter packages it up to go. I got Pokémon decorated macaron, chocolate bear macaron and a oreo panda macaron. The taste and decor were amazing on these. My star of the show was the Chocolate dipped Croissant with chocolate filling. Absolutely fantastic. The soboro was good, mango was definitely better than the strawberry. In fact, I could go so far to say that establishments like this contribute to the global rise of diabetes. Case in point. They had what looked to be savory wedges of French rolls, toasted with butter and garlic. It wasn't until I was serving dinner to my wife and guests that we discovered there was a crust of sugar coating the entire item. Who does that to garlic bread??? I wish the business well, but there are many more local bakeries that better match my product preferences.
