Very cute! I tried the coconut bread and their lychee tea. The bread was a bit dry, certainly not bad, and I liked the kiwi popping boba. Prices here are pretty resealable. They have very well decorated macarons too. Juno is on the main drag of the downtown and the street is very cute to walk down. I'll add I agree with other reviews that maybe they should work on quality of their products, but the shop is very cute and obviously they have put a lot of care into the cafe. read more

WOW. This is a fun and unique bakery! First off, they have both savory and Sweet! Their counter has an array of individually wrapped breads and a enclosed casing that you self select some baked goods and desserts. The decor in here was awesome. Tons of decorations that scream trendy. The staff was nice, they explained the process well. This is probably the only flaw of this place. There aren't many directions on the self service bar if you are getting items to go. You still get a tray, load it up, and the counter packages it up to go. I got Pokémon decorated macaron, chocolate bear macaron and a oreo panda macaron. The taste and decor were amazing on these. The cutest bakery! They have a ton of items, most of which you can grab yourself. Pick up a tray and tongs and grab what you want, then head to the counter and ask for anything behind the counter. Very good pastries. We got the strawberry cream croissant and it was so good. Super fluffy croissant and light cream. The pastry hotdogs were also really good, perfect mid day snack. Walk inside this bakery and find many treasures from beautifully decorated cakes to buns with cream inside. Wanting a small snack, I got their bun with a strawberry coat on the outside. I want to be kind, since there appeared to be many patrons enjoying their pastries and drinks. However, I likely will not be back. The products don't align with my palette for patisserie. In fact, I could go so far to say that establishments like this contribute to the global rise of diabetes. Case in point. They had what looked to be savory wedges of French rolls, toasted with butter and garlic. It wasn't until I was serving dinner to my wife and guests that we discovered there was a crust of sugar coating the entire item. Who does that to garlic bread??? We were visiting the area on our way to Annapolis and always love to try a coffee shop or cafe/bakery. It was very popular so we gave it a try. It was very clean and cute atmosphere, very inviting but that's where it stopped. We were unsure what to do as there were people using a kiosk and then there was what looked like self serve but wasn't sure what to do. We tried a couple pre packaged items and then 2 things from the case. Again not 1 person greeted us or was available to answer questions. They were packaged in such a unique carrying box, we were excited to try. We waited and tried once we got to our hotel, 1 bite of each of my treats and I was done. My mocha cake had an off putting flavor and the bun had no taste. My husband liked his elclair, even though it had whipped cream inside and not true pudding type filling. This is downtown in Frederick and has generous hours. Their service model was a bit baffling to me. A kiosk outside allowed me to order a drink, I was able to browse and select some baked goods on a self-serve basis, but to get some of the cakes and pastries I had to directly order from someone. The end result, however, was impressive. A large spread for the office was devoured, and I appreciated the diversity of options. Personally, I sampled a mousse for myself as well as a honeydew milk tea which was satisfying. I managed to get everything from chocolate cake to a caramel tart with easter eggs on it to a honeydew melon bun, a cinnamon twist, and a savory potato roll. Holy crap this place is great! I don't think I would have said that Downtown Frederick needed a Korean bakery but I'm glad it's there! First, the selection is amazing. They have a great combination of Korean, American, other other Asian pastries and baked goods. I'm not a big drink person but they have a huge menu. And the food area is super cute and clean! This bakery may be the highlight in town but I wasn't impressed. $7.55 for powdered boba drinks are unheard of in the West Coast. The pastries are similar to Paris Baguette. But they do have their own specials. The pastry are not bad, but I am not a fan of powdered boba tea. The shop is cute. They offer kiosk for self check out or you can always go to a cashier. A cute little Korean bakery and coffee shop near the main area of downtown Frederick. Clean inside and have the vibe of a Brooklyn coffee shop. It's quite spacious where it counts. Seating isn't too abundant, but much better than the even smaller stores nearby. If I recall, this brand is in the H mart in Frederick. I feel like the prices here are better. I may be wrong or I am comparing with another shop that's closer to Gaithersburg/Rockville. We came here on a Sunday and just got tea/coffee and some bread to enjoy. It was quite nice and peaceful. I took 2 bites and ultimately threw it away. But all in all the rudeness we felt upon entering and walking around is the biggest issue. Then when I got to the register I wasn't greeted then either. LASTLY, my friend and I purchased 2 garlic breads (2 different transactions) and the young lady decided to warm them then place them together in the same bag. Such a lovely bakery cafe! Prices are good, definitely better than those chains folks insist on frequenting! Come here instead! The staff are very friendly. The pastries are divine! The offered a daily special of coffee and as one for $5, such a good deal! 12 oz freshly brewed coffee and when they saw the scones were sold out they offered me a wonderful custard tart. Not too sweet and oh so good! I ordered a pain au chocolate...it was perfect! I also ordered a doughnut filled with Nutella...hubs said it was delicious and more like a pastry, in a good way! The strawberry shortcake, on the owners recommendation, is very light and not too sweet. Nice atmosphere for hanging out but they are also very prompt with takeout. You can order from a screen in the entry vestibule but why do that when they're so friendly! It's a good backup if there's a line. Juno's Mocha cake ruined our birthday dessert last night. I am pretty sure we were given an old cake despite ordering well in advance. The frosting was dry and cracked and the cake itself was really dry. The two stars are for the friendly cashier who spent time adding complimentary candles and giving us a free slice of strawberry shortcake. The strawberry whipped cream cake was delicious as it was moist, creamy, and fresh. We each shared one forkful but the Mocha cake sadly, had to be thrown out. read more

Juno Bakery in Frederick has a large selection of sweet and savory items as well as coffee and tea drinks. Yesterday, we bought three items: an egg tart, a donut with sweet red bean filling, and a slice of gluten-free chocolate cake (made with almond flour). We had the first two right away, and saved the cake for the next day, which it turns out was a case of "saving the best for last"... To say that the GF chocolate cake was moist, chocolatey, and delicious would be an understatement. It tasted like a semi-solid rich chocolate mousse. This is definitely one of the best GF desserts I've ever had, and among the top desserts I've ever had (with or without gluten). The egg tart was excellent. (Yes, it has gluten, but I only had two bites, and they were worth it!) The crust was super flaky and delicious, and the egg custard part was tasty and not too sweet. The donut with sweet red bean filling was good. It was very sugary, like a typical donut, so I only had one bite (too much sweetness as well as gluten). When going to check out, the staff at the counter saw we were waiting to check out our items but when a patron asked for pastries behind the counter we were made to wait while he proceeded to ask for numerous items. Edit: I think you just need to reduce the sweetness on the mango madness because it initially tasted too sweet, but when it got a bit more watered down from the ice, it tasted a lot better and a good sweetness to it that wasn't too overwhelming. I would suggest 75% and waiting for the ice in it to melt a bit. read more

Visited at the end of December as my daughter wanted to get a pastry. I am a public health doctor and as soon as we entered, I was shocked at the lack of health and safety measures in this bakery. Pastries were left open and uncovered on display on a large table in the middle of the walkway where patrons move through the establishment. Customers were coughing and sneezing in the area of the uncovered food - and there are record numbers of influenza A cases circulating. The pictures from their website even show tables full of uncovered pastries. There are glass cases for the larger baked good items like cakes, etc, but most of the smaller items are not safely displayed. As for us - not worth the risk. We left. read more

We are visiting Frederick and stopped into Juno Bakery and were delighted at their offerings. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I chose an almond custard pastry to take back to our hotel. While window shopping with our coffee. We came upon this cute Korean pastries shack. We already had the coffee, so why not get some pastries. Employees were extremely nice and allowed us to bring coffee from a competitor. There were lots of Korean and Western pastries available. It was hard to decide what to get. Ultimately, we went with both Korean and Western pastries. On the Western side, we had Hexicon garlic & cream cheese baguette and salted butter croissant. The Korean side, we got kimchi coquette, egg tart, and Macha croissant. The nice counter girl also gave us a complimentary slice of Oreo cake. All pastries tasted delicious. Prices were extremely reasonable for such high quality pastries. The counter girl told us that the local owner also owns the the pastry shops inside the Hmart grocery stores in the surrounding Maryland area. This particular location was the owner's first non Hmart affiliated pastry shop. We were glad that we visited the shop. read more
