Pretty great value for some fresh, high-quality poke. Paying for the amount of protein you want and then just getting unlimited sides is really the system that just makes sense. I also appreciated that they accommodated my gluten allergy with a marked menu, and offering to get ingredients from the sealed bins to reduce chances of contamination. I got 3 scoops of poke, both the salmon and tuna -- and it was definitely a lot of raw fish. Pretty large container for $20. I'd definitely see myself coming back, especially with it being just down the street. Edit: actually, I had a reaction and would not consider it celiac-safe, for anyone looking for that information

I LOVE poke and have consumed a ridiculous amount of poke bowls in my life. So, not to toot my own horn, but I think can tell a good poke bowl from a bad one. The poke, toppings, and bases here are fresh and delicious. This spot also has the most incredible variety of toppings I have ever seen! Best of all - they DO NOT CHARGE EXTRA :D for things like crab salad and seaweed salad. Sometimes places will charge a few dollars extra for each and you end up paying $25+ for a poke bowl. Staff is friendly and builds your bowl fast :) The inside has plentiful seating and nice AC. Located in a mall plaza - where there are lots of options for food, but if you're looking for something healthy (ish) - definitely pick this spot ;)

Lovely Poke House in the Mueller area that just opened their doors, and had 50% off all bowls today for their grand opening! I went with their classic ahi and the weekly special, the wasabi ahi, both were great and delicious and the service swift, parking abundant! No complaints from my typical staple of poke house which I know and love from the North Austin/ arboretum location that is my home base. Vibe, toppings and interior atmosphere is all consistent and I look forward to a more central location when needing my poke house fix!

I loved it! Just as much as the Arboretum one! I was so excited to try cause I only go to the Arboretum location. And I would only get poke at Poké House in the whole entire Austin area. I'm picky with my poke. It has to be fresh. It has to be clean and Poké House is the only one that delivers. The one in Arboretum is the only one that I would trust and now they have one near UT and I have my meetings there so we decided to try and I was pleasantly surprised it's just as good, just as fresh! I love how at poke house you can put as much toppings as you want. If you want another scoop of something it's a dollar more so it's a great deal! No other poke place has as much toppings or it's unlimited like this nor are they as fresh. They usually charge per topping or they limit couple toppings but here you could basically put a ton of toppings except avocado and maybe one other has an extra charge so it's a really good deal. I got the regular bowl which is 14.50 and I was tempted to get the larger one but this is perfectly fine because you get so much toppings. I got the classic poke which is the tuna seasoned and salmon and then I got rice. You can do half salad half rice or just salad, but I got rice and I got all the toppings that I wanted. My stomach can't eat a lot of salad stuff so I was trying to be careful but it was fine. Which means their ingredients were pretty clean and fresh. The sauces I chose were delicious too! My friend enjoyed it a ton too! It was just overall really fresh. I will definitely go here again especially if I want poke and it's new so it's really clean as well. Love the extra little crunchies at the end you can top so make sure you get that! Cute place to study if you are near campus or just try to grab a quick lunch. Every ingredient was so clean and fresh. People working there were so nice too. Definitely enjoyed it.

Disclaimer: Came for the grand opening, so we received complimentary bowls! But I've been to Poke House before and thoroughly enjoy it. It's my go-to poke spot in Austin because it's the best value. Is it authentic and traditional? No. But is it good and will it fill a craving? Yes! QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes, plenty of open parking in the shopping center. - Indoor seating? Yes, small but there is seating available. I always order a build your own regular (2 proteins) bowl with brown rice, classic ahi tuna, and lots of veggies and toppings. Everything is included except avocado is extra as well as extra scoops of toppings. They typically rotate a weekly special protein and a monthly topping/veggie to keep it interesting!

There used to be another poke place at this location, but they shut down a few months ago. I was in the area today and saw that Poke House had opened up recently in its place. My partner grabbed lunch at Chilantro and I decided to grab a poke bowl. The place is clean inside and looks essentially just like the previous poke place. They changed the decor, but not much else. The menus are conveniently posted on the wall as you walk in, making it easy to make your selections. I ordered the regular size (2 proteins) and got classic ahi tuna and salmon, as well as an assortment of toppings, on a bed of white rice. 1. It was pretty expensive for what ended up being a small portion. 2. The ingredients didn't seem 100% fresh. The fish was dull and lacked flavor in my opinion. The employees were friendly enough, but definitely stingy with ingredients (ie. scooping the fish and shaking off a bunch before putting it on your plate). Not sure if I'll be back here, to be completely honest. The poke bowl was tasty enough, but nothing special. It's a shame, because it's a great location central to Mueller.

The good: The store was clean, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The poke was great too and the ingredients tasted very fresh. The bad: Employees gave me a drink cup that was kinda misshaped, which made me a little concerned about where it'd been. Also, the food was a little salty for my taste.

Vegan bowl - "small" salad that's actually quite big!

I was really impressed by Poke House! This is a newer location in the Mueller area. As a vegan, I was concerned I wouldn't be able to find anything on the menu, but was pleasantly surprised there were many options. Everything tasted very fresh! The two things I would love to see: 1. Please clearly specify on the menu in the restaurant what is vegan 2. Baking the tofu would be amazing- it's totally raw, unseasoned tofu and just baking and a little salt/pepper goes far. Appreciate having the fresh and vegan options though :)

Great job to poke house - mueller. Such a delicious poke experience and happy they opened another location in Mueller. The food was great. I ordered the two poke special with ahi tuna and the seafood mix. Half brown rice and salad was filling along with a large mixture of sides. Everyone inside was nice. This was their soft opening, so still working out kinks, but everything felt normal to me.

I have high standards for poke. This joint exceeded expectations. Two kinds of ahi tuna - one marinated & one straight - both delicious. Plus, the salmon was perfect! The staff was fast and friendly. The place is very clean! The rice serving was very generous. The vegetables are as fresh as the fishes! I have no complaints, and I'm so relieved there is a great poke place at this location. Fresh & delicious.

Poke House is consistently good across all locations in Austin. Everything is fresh, portion is big (can have a bigger scoop of protein), service is fast, restaurant is clean. All is great!

Large Poke Rice Bowl - Three scoops of salmon, toppings, spicy mayo, and ponzu sauce. Delicious!
    Tayler M.

Great portions and fresh ingredients! The large bowl is perfect because it comes with three scoops of protein which is more than enough. The staff were pretty friendly as well. New favorite poke spot!

While exploring the many museums across the University of Texas campus, a quick caffeine break was needed for my girlfriend and we were overwhelmed by the number of options on The Drag. It makes sense that there are plenty of places to choose from because of the large number of UT students. Everyone needs a little coffee in their lives. One of the highest reviewed ones with a large pool of ratings was Lucky Lab Coffee and after checking a few quick reviews, we decided to give it a chance. Lucky Lab has five locations in Austin (four on campus) and one location in Dripping Springs. The one we were at off The Drag was their flagship. This location serves a little bit of everything from sandwiches to pastries, salad to quiche, and of course, coffee. As we walked inside the flagship, it is easy to notice how tight the space is. There is very little seating inside at their bar, but they make up for it with plenty of shaded outdoor space that is perfect for a nice day. Scanning their menu, we landed on some drinks from their winter menu. I was intrigued by their Pomegranate Rosemary Latte while my girlfriend tried their Ginger Spice Mocha. We got them both iced. First, it is interesting to see the fusion of pomegranate and rosemary in a latte. I was intrigued by those flavors. Their drink sizes are 12 oz, 16 oz, and 20 oz, each adding an additional 50 cents to each upgrade. All milk alternatives cost 1 dollar. It was only a short wait to get our coffees and the cup with the little lab on it was cute. I think specialty drinks have an opportunity to be amazing and one of a kind or the worst drink imaginable. This pomegranate rosemary latte did not fall into either category exactly, but leaned more toward the latter. I love pomegranates and I always appreciate how earthy rosemary can be in a coffee. One of my favorite lattes I have ever had has rosemary in it. This was just not working for me. I shamefully did not finish my coffee. As for my girlfriend, she did not like her ginger spice mocha. I could not imagine gingerbread syrup not working in a mocha, but after trying it myself it was not for me either. It seems like a perfect match, but here the gingerbread is competing with the chocolate and instead of complementing each other they clash. She told me that the flavors were "un-mocha like". She drank less than half of her coffee before tossing it as well. Neither of us wanted to dislike Lucky Lab. They seem well established and I felt like they were trustworthy based on reviews, but I wonder what these previous reviewers were tweaking on or what magical concoction of coffee granted from heaven above they were sipping on because we were distraught by how disappointing these drinks were. I would like to give Lucky Lab Coffee Co the benefit of the doubt and say that maybe the specialty drinks were not up to par with their traditional beverages. However, the almost 30 different syrup options on their wall make me feel they lack a little focus and try too hard to stand out. They lose what makes a coffee good, which is coffee. I want to say I will give them a second shot in the future to see if it was just an off day or a bad beverage pick. Too many shots turns a Lucky Lab into Old Yeller. The lab needs to be put on a leash before I think about returning. RIYL: options

We've been wanting to check out this shop for quite sometime and finally had the chance. From the minute we walked in the door the vibe was on! Our barista, Litsa was incredible! She was fun and bouncy and had so much positive energy. She even helped me create a concoction of sorts. Like most, lavender is my go-to. But, I also wanted toasted marshmallow and so I was torn. She suggested a combo of the two for my cappuccino (with oat milk of course). Wow! It was spectacular. I was so beyond miserable when I walked in the door (the rain) and she turned things around for me within 30 seconds of interacting. Her positivity and kindness were through the roof! My cappuccino concoction...so good I think it should be a menu feature! The banana guard iced latte my boyfriend got was equally as delicious. It was like an ice cream treat for grown-ups. Everything about the shop is so welcoming. Warm lighting, comfortable seating, and spacious. So much for the eye to take in as they have offerings from local artists and craftspeople for sale. A mini store if you will. All lined neatly on wall hanging shelves. They've got candles, pottery, jewelry, clothing, etc. All the goodies you'd expect to find at a gift and craft, artisan shop. Fitting since the drinks they put out are liquid art. Since it's about a ten-minute walk from home, it'll definitely be a new stop when going to the pet store. Wonderful experience on a dreary day.

The only thing is that it is very pricy and I didn't get an itemized receipt in the text, so I'm not sure exactly how much the drinks, tax, and tip were. I liked this place, and would come back in the future!
