It's been six years since I've made a review, and it's not because I haven't been back. I've been here very often and it never occurred to me that I haven't updated my review. Here's my update! Since my review six years ago, I've stopped by multiple times a year for food here. I've always built my own bowl with salmon as my protein, the Jay-o-Lee sauce, no salad, white rice, and plenty of onions. My rice always comes hot and the portions are always very generous. The sauce is delicious as it was always, and nothing ever changes. This business has changed by being more technologically advanced. They've inserted a kiosk for quick orders so the workers can focus on making the bowls instead. You can also order online for pickup, but the catch is, you can't earn points with your phone number unless you order in store. The inside is simple and modern. There are numerous tables and chairs for you to sit and quickly eat your bowl. There's free water, sauces, and your choice of forks or chopsticks. This place never disappoints me and always pulls me back. I will hold back from eating poke elsewhere to save my appetite for here. Thank you for always being good to me!
Great poke for the area! Fresh and bold flavors, the spice actually had some heat but still maintained a good overall flavor and awesome portions. I opted for a salad/cucumber base but bowls do come with rice and the order process is nice and streamlined because all bowls come with tobiko, surimi and seaweed salad. Options to customize bowls including extra of the toppings or exclude toppings as well. They offer salmon tuna or half and half. You can order at the desk or via a kiosk and they accept Apple Pay and card. All orders are made to order so expect a short wait if going at popular times but lots of seating, and a nice fast casual setting with fresh filling flavors.
Hawaiian and minimalistic blend interior, located in a business center. A good amount of seating for those dine in options. The staff is nice and fast with their services. I ordered the half and half Godzilla with wasabi sauce and double crab meat and avocado, it tasted pretty good, definitely made with Aloha.
I love stopping by Poke District when I'm in OC! Their poke is fresh and simple, like the ones in Hawaii. Just fish, warm rice, cucumbers, crabmeat, and seaweed is all you need. They also offer a variety of yummy sauces. It's a small shop with a good amount of seating available and can get busy during certain hours. Orders can take a while, but definitely worth the wait :)
You can order on the tablet in front of through the workers. The workers were busy putting together orders so I just ordered in the tablet. A poke bowl is $15 or a veggie bowl is $10. The menu is extremely simple: tuna, salmon or both. You then choose white, brown rice, or salad or both. Comes with imitation crab, seaweed, and your choice of sauces. I went with half white rice and half salad (Salad was a spring mix like from Costco with cucumbers) the Lava sauce which had a really nice spice and kick to it! The fish tasted super fresh and really does melt in your mouth! Will definitely need to return to try different sauces!
I've been here a few times, and the fish is always fresh. You can choose tuna, salmon, or half-and-half with white rice, brown rice, salad, or a mix. The last two times I went, the wait for the food was about 15 minutes after ordering. Ordering is done through a tablet, and the staff is helpful if you need anything. Bowls are around $15. They don't have as many toppings as other spots, but the quality is great. I even saw them cutting the fish behind the counter. Definitely worth it!
I did phone order @ 12:05 and they told me 5-10 min i got there 12:28 this guy has the audacity to tell me that it's gonna take a couple more minutes. This place is such a shit show now. Workers are rude and hella slow, I should've learned my lesson last time. To the owner of this place get your staff together
The menu is simple and self explanatory, they have two fish options: tuna and salmon. For the price of the bowl, it's very fair with the portion size. I don't think the fish is marinated in the sauce, it gets tossed with sauce when you order. The fish was fresh and a solid bowl of poke. The bowls were made very quick after ordering. On the outside, it doesn't look like much but trust me this place is GOOD. I got the half and half (tuna & salmon) Godzilla (avocado aioli) and it had good flavor. It was fresh, non slimy, and pretty firm. Honestly I think the star of the show was a the crab salad! It was packed with so much flavor and was a good side. Rice was cooked and season perfectly and the seaweed added some crunch. Service was so nice and the food came out so fast. A lot of seating and plenty of parking outside!
Delicious and fresh poke. Came by on a Friday night about an hour before closing and it wasn't too busy. Ordering is with a cashier or at the kiosk. Service was quick and staff were friendly. There's plenty of seating inside. I ordered a salmon bowl with white rice and spicy mayo. The portion was perfect and the amount of fish was abundant. Everything tasted fresh (including the seaweed salad, imitation crab, and cucumber). The rice was topped with furikake, which was delicious. Every time I took a bite into the rice, it tasted like wasabi for some reason? The random wasabi taste threw the flavor off for me. Tip: you can order multiple "flavors" or sauces, but only one sauce can be mixed into the fish while the other sauces come on the side.

Salmon was buttery! Maybe better quality than bear flag. Seaweed salad is delish! $20 for two small containers ========= Green avocado sauce is kinda weird, not sure how it enhances the fish. It needed spice/more flavor. They don't have a huge menu, so it's not too difficult to choose what to eat. I was able to sample a sauce which is convenient. A container leaked during transit so not sure how that happened, luckily the bag was there. Service I think they also gave me the wrong sauce, but it gives me an opportunity to come back again. I'm not sure why one of the employees is wearing AirPods as he's working lol service was kinda dead, maybe the people working there were tired at 530pm.
tried them for the first time and was so pleasantly pleased! Had no idea they were kind of local to me and I'm so glad I found them on yelp! I was searching to try out a new poke spot in the area and they caught my eye. The fish was fresh! I also love the way they serve it. It's very authentic, and it keeps them unique from all the other poke spots. I got the salmon with white rice and it was delicious! I definitely recommend trying all of the sauces on the side so you get a feel for what you want! Everyone here was so nice and I would definitely go back.
I've had this spot saved for years, but never visited since it's a little out of the way. Well, I finally stopped by and am so glad I did! It's a casual spot where you walk in and order on a tablet. The staff was friendly and available for questions. I got the half & half bowl with original sauce and subbed the seaweed salad for an extra scoop of imitation crab. Sooo good. The fish is fresh and the sauce is balanced and not overly salty. They only have 2 options for fish - tuna and salmon, but they do it well. I would rather have good fish compared to more options and mediocre fish!! Good sized portions for the price too, which is always a plus! The only thing I would change about this bowl is less sauce for the salad, but I'm definitely going to come back the next time I'm craving poke. read more

THE MOST AUTHENTIC HAWAIIAN POKE IN OC! Sad this isn't closer to me or else I'd always get their poke :') Their fish is superrr fresh and high quality (and this is coming from someone who eats poke like once a week). Definitely build your own bowl--the half rice/half cucumber + half salmon/half tuna is ELITE! Everything is so scrumptious...my mouth just waters thinking about them! Top 3 poke spots I've been to in SoCal. There's Ali'i fish co. , north shore poke and this place. They give you so much food here though. Filled me up. There's so much going on with the seaweed salad, fake crab, cucumber, hefty amount of rice with Furikake on top. I added avocado and a bag of jalapeño chips just to make it a party. Got 1 hot lava ahi and the spicy mayo. Both are amazing. Fish taste super fresh. It was empty when I came which is odd. A place this good should be packed all the time!! read more

If you love traditional poke, this is one of my favorite places near Disneyland. I got the traditional sweet poke and with the rice? Amazingly good. The portion was also really well done because goodness I'm so full. The other one is spicy and if you're into spices, that's the one for you. The service is fast, they're polite, it's a good place to get food! As for ambiance, they have ample parking, well lit interior and great music! Def must go must try read more

nothing can beat poke from hawaii, but poke district is as close as it gets in oc. the fish is super fresh and the flavors are on point -- everything just tastes clean and delicious. definitely one of my favorite spots when i'm craving a solid poke bowl. fresh, yummy, and hits every time! read more
Came here on a whim and omg, I will definitely be returning. Lucky directions too me to this place because I never would have noticed it otherwise. This place is interesting and best described as "simple". I was expecting a Poke Bar style with several options (ie: tuna, salmon, white fish, spicy tuna, salmon in marinades, etc), but it was so much simpler than that. There are only 2 proteins tuna & salmon. You can do 1/2 and 1/2. 3 base options of white rice, brown rice, or salad w/cucumbers. The, you choose your sauce. There were 5 options. That's it! It was nice to not have a ton of options. For just over $15, the amount of food you get it fantastic! This is one of the freshest Poke places i've tried. Easy and free parking in the lot as it is located in a strip mall. read more

Holy sh** you guys. Writing this after literally only taking two bites. I'm blown away, the flavor is like sooo clean and fresh and vibrant and I think this just became my new Sunday spot. After the poke boom 10 years ago, it has been freakin hard to find a good bowl that wasn't stinky or frozen. I'm literally in awe. Don't ever change poke district. It did hurt at first paying $18 for a half/half bowl when I didn't know what I was getting myself into. I added avocado and got the lava sauce (top tier, just enough kick) But honestly, I'm obsessed and it's SO WORTH IT. Even the cucumbers were freakin delicious, I wish I got more! Currently contemplating taking home a fish only bowl to make the experience last longer. Freakin great job guys read more

The fish was very fresh and the sauce they use was delicious. They have variety of sauce options to choose from and also have alternatives if you want to change out the sides. The service was pretty fast and there's plenty of seating/parking. read more

Went on a recommendation of a friend and it was great! PD differs from the usual poke spots as they do not have the assembly line where you choose your toppings to customize your bowl. It's very simple -- you pick your protein (salmon or ahi), choose your base (brown rice, white rice, or cucumber salad) and your sauce. That's it! The poke was plentiful and the pieces were big. Everything tasted fresh. Staff was cordial and ordering was fast and easy. My food was done in 5-ish minute. This place is 5 minutes from my gym and I hope to come here more often. read more
I found this place on Yelp and since they had such good reviews, I wanted to check it out. I am so glad I did! It definitely exceeded expectations. It is located in a strip mall so there is plenty of parking. You are able to eat inside as there are a good amount of tables. I decided to build my own bowl. I chose the half&half option which included salmon and tuna as my proteins. I did half white rice and half cucumber salad. It isn't listed as an option on the menu but I decided to ask. For my sauce I chose spicy mayo, which was new. Each bowl comes with seaweed salad, imitation crab, green onions, sesame seeds, tobiko, and furikake. The fish were cut up into huge cubes. The salmon was super buttery and fresh. The tuna was also good. The portions were great. Everything in the bowl was nice and simple. The freshness of the salad was a good pairing with the tenderness of the fish. This place is awesome. I would definitely come back. read more
This is basically my 4th or 5th time and I do apologize for not having done a review :( I've been meaning to but I keep forgetting as I always start digging my face in first before grabbing a picture This poke place is the perfect picture of a Hawaiian poke place. They be rocking the house with local Hawaiian music, setting a chill, cool vibe~ (As always) I ordered my usual: Regular Spicy Lava Salmon with Cucumber Salad (Tho normally I do half salad, half brown rice, but I was feeling rather fat that day) Taste: 10/10 Price: $15.30 The fish here aways has the chewiness freshness of fish! One of my favorite places to get poke in OC! I got the salmon bowl with spicy mayo, and original sauce on the side. My friend got salmon as well, but with original sauce instead. The fish was super fresh. The salmon was buttery and tender. Even though it doesn't look like it, the portions are large even with the large cubes of fish. One order can be two meals for me. The restaurant also has really cute decor that gives a beachy vibe. read more
Wow can't believe it took me this long to finally try Poke District. Definitely an easy 5. I ordered the create-your-own bowl with choice of salmon and wasabi aioli on the side. While their bowls may seem rather simple compared to other modern poke spots, I don't think it's bad thing- it still packs great flavors and gets straight to the point. They do not skimp out on the portions of the protein, and the salmon had great flavor and fresh quality. The side of seaweed salad and crab meat were amazing as well. Overall, definitely a hit!! I haven't found a poke place near me that I've loved until now. They serve authentic Hawaiian-style poke with no frills except with the addition of seaweed salad and kanikama (imitation crab) if you get a bowl. I built two of my own: one was salmon with original sweet soy sauce and the other was half & half with hot lava (aka spicy) sauce. The fish here is so fresh. Both of them were so tender and soft that I couldn't stop eating them. I loved both sauces and even asked to try some of the other ones as samples but nothing beat the two that I ordered. It comes with a big serving of your choice of rice, regular or brown, or salad. I went on a Sunday at noon and it wasn't crowded at all so the food came out super quick. read more
Have not been here for so long and was around the area and curving poke for lunch. I ordered a customized bowl and it's huge. Their fishes are not that many options comparing to other places, but I like it this way, just keep it simple to keep up with the quality. Been going here since my high school days in 2015! Now that I live out of state, I look forward to visiting this place whenever I get the chance. My boyfriend says this is the best poke place he's had in his life! The food quality has always been consistent and the fish is always so fresh. I also appreciate that the sauces are on the less salty side so that it doesn't overpower the freshness and quality of the fish. Not exaggerating when I say this is some of the best poke I've had in a while! Don't get me wrong, OC has a lot of amazing spots especially by the coast but if you're not trying to drive that far then this is the spot. The salmon poke tasted so fresh with a generous portion and good flavor. I've had the Hot Lava and Spicy Mayo, both so good and not too spicy. The plates are simple, either poke by the pound or with a side of rice and few other additions. Definitely will be back for more! read more

1. Ambiance and Environment Poke District's aesthetic is very reminiscent of poke shops that you would see in the somewhat tourist-heavy areas of Hawaii. Plenty of seating is available indoors and the interior is very well-lit. The cashier and counter are towards te back of the establishment, so you'll have to walk past the tables to order and get your food. 2. Food and Drinks I wasn't able to get a picture, but I ordered a build-your-own bowl with half-salmon and half-tuna. I also got it with white rice and creamy aioli. My friend that I was with ordered the same thing, with the hot lava sauce instead of the aioli. The quality of the food was amazing, and it was extremely delicious. The fish didn't smell or taste fishy, which was great. The rice portion is pretty generous compared to other poke spots like PokiNometry. 3. Service Staff members were very friendly and extremely welcoming. My friend and I didn't come in during rush hour, but you could still the staff hustling to get orders fulfilled. Their work ethic was great! Combined with their friendly attitude, I would say that Poke District has really great service. 4. Pricing Pricing here for the poke can be considered slightly more expensive compared to other poke places. However, the quality and taste here can be considered superior to other poke places. The price and taste pairing here at Poke District makes it an extremely competitive poke spot, and I'm definitely willing to spend a little bit more money than usual knowing that the raw fish I'm eating is handled and seasoned well. 5. Restroom I didn't end up using the restroom during my visit. I do know, however, it's towards the back of the store. 6. Parking The parking is shared between Poke District and a couple of other establishments in the same plaza. Finding parking wasn't too tough to find during the ours of 12pm to 2pm, but you may have to walk a bit between the store and your car since it does get busy. read more
