It's been six years since I've made a review, and it's not because I haven't been back. I've been here very often and it never occurred to me that I haven't updated my review. Here's my update! Since my review six years ago, I've stopped by multiple times a year for food here. I've always built my own bowl with salmon as my protein, the Jay-o-Lee sauce, no salad, white rice, and plenty of onions. My rice always comes hot and the portions are always very generous. The sauce is delicious as it was always, and nothing ever changes. This business has changed by being more technologically advanced. They've inserted a kiosk for quick orders so the workers can focus on making the bowls instead. You can also order online for pickup, but the catch is, you can't earn points with your phone number unless you order in store. The inside is simple and modern. There are numerous tables and chairs for you to sit and quickly eat your bowl. There's free water, sauces, and your choice of forks or chopsticks. This place never disappoints me and always pulls me back. I will hold back from eating poke elsewhere to save my appetite for here. Thank you for always being good to me!
Great poke for the area! Fresh and bold flavors, the spice actually had some heat but still maintained a good overall flavor and awesome portions. I opted for a salad/cucumber base but bowls do come with rice and the order process is nice and streamlined because all bowls come with tobiko, surimi and seaweed salad. Options to customize bowls including extra of the toppings or exclude toppings as well. They offer salmon tuna or half and half. You can order at the desk or via a kiosk and they accept Apple Pay and card. All orders are made to order so expect a short wait if going at popular times but lots of seating, and a nice fast casual setting with fresh filling flavors.
Hawaiian and minimalistic blend interior, located in a business center. A good amount of seating for those dine in options. The staff is nice and fast with their services. I ordered the half and half Godzilla with wasabi sauce and double crab meat and avocado, it tasted pretty good, definitely made with Aloha.
I love stopping by Poke District when I'm in OC! Their poke is fresh and simple, like the ones in Hawaii. Just fish, warm rice, cucumbers, crabmeat, and seaweed is all you need. They also offer a variety of yummy sauces. It's a small shop with a good amount of seating available and can get busy during certain hours. Orders can take a while, but definitely worth the wait :)
You can order on the tablet in front of through the workers. The workers were busy putting together orders so I just ordered in the tablet. A poke bowl is $15 or a veggie bowl is $10. The menu is extremely simple: tuna, salmon or both. You then choose white, brown rice, or salad or both. Comes with imitation crab, seaweed, and your choice of sauces. I went with half white rice and half salad (Salad was a spring mix like from Costco with cucumbers) the Lava sauce which had a really nice spice and kick to it! The fish tasted super fresh and really does melt in your mouth! Will definitely need to return to try different sauces!
I've been here a few times, and the fish is always fresh. You can choose tuna, salmon, or half-and-half with white rice, brown rice, salad, or a mix. The last two times I went, the wait for the food was about 15 minutes after ordering. Ordering is done through a tablet, and the staff is helpful if you need anything. Bowls are around $15. They don't have as many toppings as other spots, but the quality is great. I even saw them cutting the fish behind the counter. Definitely worth it!
I did phone order @ 12:05 and they told me 5-10 min i got there 12:28 this guy has the audacity to tell me that it's gonna take a couple more minutes. This place is such a shit show now. Workers are rude and hella slow, I should've learned my lesson last time. To the owner of this place get your staff together
The menu is simple and self explanatory, they have two fish options: tuna and salmon. For the price of the bowl, it's very fair with the portion size. I don't think the fish is marinated in the sauce, it gets tossed with sauce when you order. The fish was fresh and a solid bowl of poke. The bowls were made very quick after ordering. On the outside, it doesn't look like much but trust me this place is GOOD. I got the half and half (tuna & salmon) Godzilla (avocado aioli) and it had good flavor. It was fresh, non slimy, and pretty firm. Honestly I think the star of the show was a the crab salad! It was packed with so much flavor and was a good side. Rice was cooked and season perfectly and the seaweed added some crunch. Service was so nice and the food came out so fast. A lot of seating and plenty of parking outside!
Delicious and fresh poke. Came by on a Friday night about an hour before closing and it wasn't too busy. Ordering is with a cashier or at the kiosk. Service was quick and staff were friendly. There's plenty of seating inside. I ordered a salmon bowl with white rice and spicy mayo. The portion was perfect and the amount of fish was abundant. Everything tasted fresh (including the seaweed salad, imitation crab, and cucumber). The rice was topped with furikake, which was delicious. Every time I took a bite into the rice, it tasted like wasabi for some reason? The random wasabi taste threw the flavor off for me. Tip: you can order multiple "flavors" or sauces, but only one sauce can be mixed into the fish while the other sauces come on the side.

Salmon was buttery! Maybe better quality than bear flag. Seaweed salad is delish! $20 for two small containers ========= Green avocado sauce is kinda weird, not sure how it enhances the fish. It needed spice/more flavor. They don't have a huge menu, so it's not too difficult to choose what to eat. I was able to sample a sauce which is convenient. A container leaked during transit so not sure how that happened, luckily the bag was there. Service I think they also gave me the wrong sauce, but it gives me an opportunity to come back again. I'm not sure why one of the employees is wearing AirPods as he's working lol service was kinda dead, maybe the people working there were tired at 530pm.
tried them for the first time and was so pleasantly pleased! Had no idea they were kind of local to me and I'm so glad I found them on yelp! I was searching to try out a new poke spot in the area and they caught my eye. The fish was fresh! I also love the way they serve it. It's very authentic, and it keeps them unique from all the other poke spots. I got the salmon with white rice and it was delicious! I definitely recommend trying all of the sauces on the side so you get a feel for what you want! Everyone here was so nice and I would definitely go back.

Excellent food, portion size good, super fresh and flavorful. The young lady at the register very helpful since this was my first time here. I got half salmon/tuna, the half cucumber salad half brown rice, original sauce with a side of the hot lava sauce. It all couldn't be better. Ambiance - very casual. Poke bowl is sooooo good! Great portions and totally flavorful with a variety of sauces mixed into the large cuts of fish. Simple pairings of rice, salad, seaweed, and crab. Plenty of parking in an otherwise busy plaza. Service can be slow when there are many orders, especially delivery and to-go, but is also super fast when their kitchen is not occupied. I appreciate the clean bathroom and relaxing island music. read more
I was craving some authentic poke and this place is the closest i have gotten in the orange/ Anaheim area. I called and placed an order for pick up, the service was great and he was very patient over the phone while I figured out my order. He even asked what time I was arriving and said they'd start making it closer to that time so that it would be fresh when I got there. As soon as I got there, it was ready to go. Poke District "broke my mouth" - with great ingredients, great service and great staff! We inadvertently turned into the wrong plaza but so glad that happened. Poke District is hard to see from the street -- need better signage. The shop is small but mighty. Upon entering the shop, you pick up the Hawaiian vibes - with music, surf boards, hang 5 and other good spirits painted on walls. The order counter is toward the back. The menu is simple but the quality and choices are fresh (e.g., build to order). We ordered spicy tuna poke plate and the non-fish poke plate! Both were build he generously and delicious. Surprisingly, the non-fish poke plate so fulfilling that I sort of wished I had opted to skip the spicy tuna. There are extra condiments on the adjacent counter if you want to add more ponzu sauce, seasoning or hot sauce. Certainly, we will come back again. read more

Delicious! All the ingredients were fresh and well prepared. Fish portion was good, pieces were big but tender, no bones, no chewy strings. Both plates were half cucumber salad, half white rice, all salmon. House sauce is great. Only downside is not a lot of toppings, especially no ginger! Also the rice was a bit warm, I like my rice cool for poke. Overall it was still fresh, delicious and quality poke. It took a couple more minutes since they make it in the back of the house and not build the bowl in front of you. The place was simple, not super decorated but there are inside seatings. Literally my FAVORITE poke spot! It's simple and not complicated like other poke places with a million topping choices and whatnot. The food is always consistent and delicious. They only offer salmon or tuna with the option of half and half. I HIGHLY recommend this place because unlike other poke joints, they're not "by scoop". You choose your protein and they do the magic. With the heatwave coming, I'm definitely going to be making a trip back real soon! read more

We saw the reviews for this place and it looked really promising., I remembered coming here years ago but couldn't recall why I didn't come back. It was because the wait was so long. We waited 30 minutes for 2 poke bowls. They don't make it in front of you like other places which is strange. The taste was average but don't think we are coming back due to the lomh wait time. read more
In my opinion, this is one of the few Poke spots in the area that reminds me of poke in Hawaii. The menu is very simple and straightforward and it's pretty easy to order. I recommend always calling ahead and placing your order that way I'll save you a lot of time and I'll be ready by the time you get there the portions are pretty big and I think the price is adequate for what you get. Make sure to input your number on the screen when you pay to collect the points and get a free bowl once you reach the number required. Solid local poke spot in the outskirts of Orange. Poke District specializes in Hawaiian style poke, which means you just get the fish, rice, and a couple sides. No crazy toppings, customizations, or the "Chipotle-model" if that is what you were expecting. I came here because I personally prefer Hawaiian style poke. There is only one size to order ($15) and you select the type of fish you want, along with your base. You can do half-and-half for your base. Right off the bat I noticed the fish was very fresh and buttery. I am not sure where they source their fish from or what the quality is (wild vs farm). I wish they put that information on their website or Yelp page. Nonetheless, the fish was very tasty and felt of high quality. The rice and sides were a decent portion and overall the entire serving was satisfying. I liked how they didn't over-sauce their fish to really let the quality shine. Service was friendly and fast. -1 star because it is a little pricey ($15) for what you get. read more

Poke District is my favorite poke shop in Orange County! I've been gojng here for years and haven't found a poke place in OC with fresher fish than here. They really give you a lot of fish compared to other joints. And its closer to what traditional Hawaiian poke is like (still not quite the same, but similar). My favorite thing about Poke District is that you can buy poke by the pound, again similar to Hawaii! Seriously, this place is worth the drive if you aren't nearby. Ambiance is nice but its not the kind of place you'll spend a long time at. Its really an eat and leave type of place because hey, it is poke. But I always enjoy my meal there because poke tastes best right after it's prepared. They always play island reggae music in there so it's always a vibe. The service is very friendly too. visited poke district again after ~2-3 years and it's still as good as i remember! very decent portion sizes for the price (good rice to fish ratio). they only have salmon, tuna, and half & half available for protein choices here which is unique from a lot of other places! service was fast and the staff are nice :) read more

Simple clean restaurant in a strip mall. I got the half and half protein option and half and half for the base: white rice and cucumber salad. I added avocado which made the total ~ $18. Overall, generous portion and I got two meals from it. Definitely like this concept better than other places due to the protein to other ingredients ratio. I'm not a huge fan of tuna in general and probably would just stick with salmon next time. Pretty fresh and this is the type of place that sticks to one thing and makes it better quality rather than having a whole bunch of options for just ok standards. read more

Aloha vibes forever! Closest poke that i've tasted to Big island hawaii. After living in hawaii for a while, it's been tough to find decent poke in california. The staff is not too shabby, typically show you the food before they bag it. This place brings nostalgia to the mainland. Good bite and light savory sauce... but of course, nothing comes close to Foodland poke! read more

Delicious poke with huuuuge portions. I was pretty hungry and I still couldn't finish it! I got a soy salmon bowl. It comes with imitation crab, seaweed salad, and a large portion of fish. Pretty good price for the amount you get. Besides that, I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and my order was ready pretty quickly. A great place for poke! read more

One of the best poke places in OC. Unlike other poke places where it's like lunch line style, all meals are preset but honestly there's more than enough to satisfy. I like this place because they don't skip out on the fish, the sauce is not over powering the flavor of the fish and there's a good ratio of fish and rice. The place seems to be ran by a couple so it does take a while for the food to come out if it does get busy but it's honestly worth the wait. ( they're usually fast about it too. Came across this local Authentic Hawaiian Poke spot using my Yelp app and let me tell you boy oh boy this place did not disappoint. The salmon was so fresh, the toppings were all high quality which I loved. They did not have as much toppings as other poke spots however I preferred this more authentic Hawaiian spot. Service was great. The lady helping us was nice. And once the food was ready the gentlemen who made it confirmed with me the bowl looked how I wanted it. Never seen that before! Went here and the poke is pretty delicious. The service was a little slow but granted they only had 1 person making the poke and 1 person running the cashier and it was during the lunch rush so we waited a bit but still delicious. We got the large build your own bowl and the portions are pretty big so you get a lot of value for your money. I could have definitely shared my poke with my friend. read more

honestly THEEE BESSTT poke spot in OC!! i normally don't have too much hawaiian poke just because it's not as common as the other poke spots where you build your own bowl, but i can tell you rn that it's super fresh and tasty!! im normally a fiend for toppings so i love any diy food places lol but this place really won me over for authentic hawaiian poke. hawaiian poke is different from the typical poke places because it only really comes with rice/salad and marinaded fish. but this place also serves it with kanikama (imitation crab) and seaweed salad which was nice! the place is hidden in a strip mall in orange and you wouldn't know that their poke is poppin until you look at their yelp or try it yourself. the plaza has plenty of parking and the place itself has plenty of seating so you can eat here or take it home. i like this place because their menu is so simple and they only have 2 fish and 6 sauces to choose from you order at the counter and pick it up yourself, so it's basically self-service and suited for to go orders. i ordered a build your own bowl with cucumber salad, salmon, and their original sauce, with hot lava on the side. i also don't like kanikama so i opted it out. they offered me more seaweed salad or cucumber and i decided to go with cucumbers. it's about $16 for a bowl which is the average price of poke nowadays but this one is even more worth it than any other place i've been to! my order came out relatively quickly, maybe 5-10 minutes, despite it being rather busy, and the presentation blew me away even though it was just a to go box! but the fresh itself looked sooo fresh and evenly coated, and the chunks of fish were HUGEEE which is a refreshing change from the typical poke places that cut their fish sooo teeny tiny. the salad it came with was also fresh and well dressed, so it complimented the fish perfectly. the seaweed salad is standard and a good topping to have with the poke bowl. overall this is probably the best poke place i've ever been to and i will definitely return here every single time im craving some read more
