It's been six years since I've made a review, and it's not because I haven't been back. I've been here very often and it never occurred to me that I haven't updated my review. Here's my update! Since my review six years ago, I've stopped by multiple times a year for food here. I've always built my own bowl with salmon as my protein, the Jay-o-Lee sauce, no salad, white rice, and plenty of onions. My rice always comes hot and the portions are always very generous. The sauce is delicious as it was always, and nothing ever changes. This business has changed by being more technologically advanced. They've inserted a kiosk for quick orders so the workers can focus on making the bowls instead. You can also order online for pickup, but the catch is, you can't earn points with your phone number unless you order in store. The inside is simple and modern. There are numerous tables and chairs for you to sit and quickly eat your bowl. There's free water, sauces, and your choice of forks or chopsticks. This place never disappoints me and always pulls me back. I will hold back from eating poke elsewhere to save my appetite for here. Thank you for always being good to me!
Great poke for the area! Fresh and bold flavors, the spice actually had some heat but still maintained a good overall flavor and awesome portions. I opted for a salad/cucumber base but bowls do come with rice and the order process is nice and streamlined because all bowls come with tobiko, surimi and seaweed salad. Options to customize bowls including extra of the toppings or exclude toppings as well. They offer salmon tuna or half and half. You can order at the desk or via a kiosk and they accept Apple Pay and card. All orders are made to order so expect a short wait if going at popular times but lots of seating, and a nice fast casual setting with fresh filling flavors.
Hawaiian and minimalistic blend interior, located in a business center. A good amount of seating for those dine in options. The staff is nice and fast with their services. I ordered the half and half Godzilla with wasabi sauce and double crab meat and avocado, it tasted pretty good, definitely made with Aloha.
I love stopping by Poke District when I'm in OC! Their poke is fresh and simple, like the ones in Hawaii. Just fish, warm rice, cucumbers, crabmeat, and seaweed is all you need. They also offer a variety of yummy sauces. It's a small shop with a good amount of seating available and can get busy during certain hours. Orders can take a while, but definitely worth the wait :)
You can order on the tablet in front of through the workers. The workers were busy putting together orders so I just ordered in the tablet. A poke bowl is $15 or a veggie bowl is $10. The menu is extremely simple: tuna, salmon or both. You then choose white, brown rice, or salad or both. Comes with imitation crab, seaweed, and your choice of sauces. I went with half white rice and half salad (Salad was a spring mix like from Costco with cucumbers) the Lava sauce which had a really nice spice and kick to it! The fish tasted super fresh and really does melt in your mouth! Will definitely need to return to try different sauces!
I've been here a few times, and the fish is always fresh. You can choose tuna, salmon, or half-and-half with white rice, brown rice, salad, or a mix. The last two times I went, the wait for the food was about 15 minutes after ordering. Ordering is done through a tablet, and the staff is helpful if you need anything. Bowls are around $15. They don't have as many toppings as other spots, but the quality is great. I even saw them cutting the fish behind the counter. Definitely worth it!
I did phone order @ 12:05 and they told me 5-10 min i got there 12:28 this guy has the audacity to tell me that it's gonna take a couple more minutes. This place is such a shit show now. Workers are rude and hella slow, I should've learned my lesson last time. To the owner of this place get your staff together
The menu is simple and self explanatory, they have two fish options: tuna and salmon. For the price of the bowl, it's very fair with the portion size. I don't think the fish is marinated in the sauce, it gets tossed with sauce when you order. The fish was fresh and a solid bowl of poke. The bowls were made very quick after ordering. On the outside, it doesn't look like much but trust me this place is GOOD. I got the half and half (tuna & salmon) Godzilla (avocado aioli) and it had good flavor. It was fresh, non slimy, and pretty firm. Honestly I think the star of the show was a the crab salad! It was packed with so much flavor and was a good side. Rice was cooked and season perfectly and the seaweed added some crunch. Service was so nice and the food came out so fast. A lot of seating and plenty of parking outside!
Delicious and fresh poke. Came by on a Friday night about an hour before closing and it wasn't too busy. Ordering is with a cashier or at the kiosk. Service was quick and staff were friendly. There's plenty of seating inside. I ordered a salmon bowl with white rice and spicy mayo. The portion was perfect and the amount of fish was abundant. Everything tasted fresh (including the seaweed salad, imitation crab, and cucumber). The rice was topped with furikake, which was delicious. Every time I took a bite into the rice, it tasted like wasabi for some reason? The random wasabi taste threw the flavor off for me. Tip: you can order multiple "flavors" or sauces, but only one sauce can be mixed into the fish while the other sauces come on the side.

Salmon was buttery! Maybe better quality than bear flag. Seaweed salad is delish! $20 for two small containers ========= Green avocado sauce is kinda weird, not sure how it enhances the fish. It needed spice/more flavor. They don't have a huge menu, so it's not too difficult to choose what to eat. I was able to sample a sauce which is convenient. A container leaked during transit so not sure how that happened, luckily the bag was there. Service I think they also gave me the wrong sauce, but it gives me an opportunity to come back again. I'm not sure why one of the employees is wearing AirPods as he's working lol service was kinda dead, maybe the people working there were tired at 530pm.
tried them for the first time and was so pleasantly pleased! Had no idea they were kind of local to me and I'm so glad I found them on yelp! I was searching to try out a new poke spot in the area and they caught my eye. The fish was fresh! I also love the way they serve it. It's very authentic, and it keeps them unique from all the other poke spots. I got the salmon with white rice and it was delicious! I definitely recommend trying all of the sauces on the side so you get a feel for what you want! Everyone here was so nice and I would definitely go back.

My new favorite place for Hawaiian style poke bowls in Orange County! Poke District is located in the same plaza as Oshima and Holdaak, so lots of parking available. My main criteria for good poke is that the fish tastes fresh (aka not slimy/mushy or having a fishy taste) and this place definitely passes with flying colors. They are super generous with the portion of fish that comes with your bowl and I actually found myself having tuna leftover when I had eaten everything else in my bowl, whereas at other places usually my fish is gone by the time I'm halfway through a poke bowl. The bowl comes with seaweed salad, crab meat, and your base of choice (I did half brown rice and half cucumber salad). Everything paired beautifully together. I will note that they do not heavily season their fish like a lot of poke places do, which I personally don't mind, but if anyone likes their poke drenched in sauce - you might want to see if they can do extra sauce There's lots of small tables inside if you want to dine in. Overall great value for the price and such a filling but healthy feeling meal option! read more

I've been here numerous times before since I used to go to self made for personal training. However when I came this time around, there was a moldy taste to my salad which caused me to not even able to finish the rest of the food... I'm very sadden by this. This won't stop me from coming because I'm sure it is just a mistake that the employees overlooked! But for future reference, I hope they look carefully to ensure the salads arent spoiled or moldy :/ read more

I came upon this place while searching for poke and not those typical poke bowls that you see everything on it. This was the right amount of everything when it comes to getting a good amount of poke. The salmon pieces were nice and big, and it was a good meal if you're craving poke. Would come back again soon! read more

Been here twice in a month already and craving more. It's a pretty simple menu and more Hawaiian style poke. There is no multiple toppings to choose from or 10 sauces. It's simple with either salmon or tuna, your choice of a dressing (I just get the original soy and you can ask for another sauce on the side to try), rice and/or salad, seaweed salad, krab mix, and some tobiko on top. It is fresh and quite filling. I think it is well worth the price (~$16 a bowl). Definitely one of my top poke places in this area and I'm glad I found it! read more

One of the best poke shops I found recently! The first time I stopped by here, there were closed due to other circumstances, so I was pretty skeptical coming back here the second time. So glad to have come by here again! This poke stop isn't very customize-able as your ordinary poke places where you can just do unlimited toppings, so I was a bit confused at first. Based on whatever is on the menu, you order from there. I got the salmon poke and the quality here was really good! They gave a lot more salmon pieces than I expected and they were nicely chunky! I also ordered this with the creamy aioli and it was complemented well with the salmon. I also got the "originals" on the side which was nice and sweet! I want to try the other sauces next time. I'm glad they also included crabmeat with this cause I love crabmeat haha. The seaweed salad was also very fresh. You can mix the base of salad and brown rice with your order too. The plate overall doesn't have too much going on, but everything was really delicious. I wanted to dine in here, but it was oddly warm and stuffy inside. The staff was all really nice and chill! This place was my top poke place for over 10 years. Unfortunately new owners took over, and since then I've noticed slow changes to the quality and quantity of the food. And now finally, the new owners have lost a long time loyal customer. $20 for a bowl. Fine, I'll pay it if it's worth it. But the amount of fish in my bowl is embarrassing. These bowls used to be PACKED with fresh fish, that's what made this place so awesome. They didn't cheap out on you. Half the bowl was fish. Now, I got my bowl and the entire thing was salad, and the tiny amount of fish is pushed to the side. And underneath the fish is even more salad. $20 for lettuce. Thanks. Another awesome place ruined by new owners. Wish the old owners were still running it. read more
Tried the wasabi flavor this time around it's good , doesn't have as much flavor and the avocado one for sure. Fish was incredibly fresh rice was steaming hot and seaweed salad was good. Will come back to try the different flavors read more

So I have always loved this place however, over the past few months I feel the quality of the tuna has gone down hill. Not sure if it's the quality of the tuna or how it is being trimmed but there sure are lots of chewy pieces in the past few orders. Maybe because they have hired a few new workers and the husband and wife team no longer is able to put the love and attention into each bowl like they used to. I like this place and want to see them successful but if others are having a similar experience as I am, they might start to lose customers/ regulars - if the quantity diminishes. read more

Been here many times and the freshness of the fish never fail. It's so good and the fish literally melt in your mouth! The crab meat also tastes very very good! If you are in the area and is looking for Hawaiian style poke, this is the place you want to try! 100/10 would recommend! read more

Came by this place to check it out. Place is small, tidy and bright. You order at the counter either build-your-bowl or hapa bowl. The difference between the two is that Hapa Bowl doesn't come with protein. No Fish! . So we ordered build-your-bowl because that's what I came for; Poké. Step1: choose your Protein. They only have two different kinds of protein: Salmon and Tuna. You can choose half and half if you want both. Step 2: choose a base: white rice, brown rice, cucumber salad. Step 3: choose a flavor: original (sweet soy), hot lava (spicy), wasabilicious, guacamoli aoli (i chose), jay-yoo-lee (sweet mayo). The portion is filling and taste delicious. However, my tuna tasted like its frozen? As my bf would say, frozen fresh. LOL. But all in all, it's good. read more

Went here for the first time after reading the reviews and opted for their half tuna/half salmon build your own bowl! It was a good portion size, leaving me full, with leftovers. The quality of the fish was great as well! The place was clean and had some music playing. The staff were extremely helpful in letting me know which sauces were the most popular too. I'm always in the market for a new poke spot and this one was strongly recommended by my cousin, who was raving about their fish quality and refreshingly minimalist presentation. The bowls are separated by ingredient into individual compartments, for authentic poke served Hawaiian-style. At $14/bowl, I had high expectations that were (surprisingly) met! Only three protein choices: salmon, tuna, or half and half. Ever the indecisive, I went for half and half with Godzilla avocado aioli. The first thing I noticed was the entire bowl not being slathered in sauce; only the fish was lightly marinated (not soaked) in aioli, providing a light, subtle alternative to your standard scoop of guac. Every bowl comes with kamikama (imitation crab), seaweed salad and furikake+tobiko+onions as toppings. The brown rice was slightly dry, as expected, so I'd personally recommend either white rice or layering on extra furikake for an added kick of flavor if you end up sticking with the healthier option. The simplicity offered here is a refreshing change of pace from the new gimmicky poke places these days that offer countless random topping choices (ahem, Lowkey Poke's hot cheeto sprinkles) and drown their ingredients in sauces that detract from the sanctity of fresh fish and its flavors. Poke District eliminates the hassle of choice and presents you with a few essential, quality ingredients accompanied by sparingly few distractions to allow their bomb fish to stand out on its own. Worth the splurge? Depends on the day - I wouldn't call this my new go-to poke place but definitely a worthwhile indulgence every now and then when I'm craving only the cleanest of poke bowls. read more
Because I work around the area (thank God), I was able to find this gem. Overall, this place nailed the job at portion, taste, and price. I absolutely loved every single bite and was instantly addicted as I finished it all up and craving more. Their poke is absolutely fresh and super chunky. I love the yummy sides that come along with it. Before, I expected to make a custom bowl, but I actually really loved how they do that for you by just selecting their one of their choices. It was a quick and a bliss ordering. The staff are also welcoming and bright. They even remembered my name when I left the shop as they waved goodbye. They are so sweet. This place is not your average poke place, but they do a superb job at it. I can't wait to come back again (I guess only when I work) lol read more

Highly recommend this place. Owned by a very friendly elderly couple. Great service. Nice decor. Highly quality delicious food! FOOD: - The poke is more traditional Hawaiian style poke. Each order comes with a ton of fish. The fish tastes very fresh. Piping hot rice is topped with the MOST DELICIOUS Furikake I ever had. High quality imitation crab and seaweed. I like the spicy sauce. WHAT I WOULD DO NEXT TIME: - Either get the spicy sauce again or try some of the other interesting looking sauces. - For my wife/7 yo daughter, order plain salmon (no sesame seed, no fish eggs cheese, sauce on the side). Initially coming here I was a bit skeptical because I love having topping options, but seaweed salad and imitation crab (kanikama) are my normal go to so it was nice those were already set. I think the only reason I couldn't give this place five stars is because there was some lack in flavor. I loved that they put furikake on their rice and the dressing for the cucumber salad was good, but I wished there was a bit more. I want to emphasize that their fish is super fresh, kinda just melts in your mouth. Overall, the workers here seem very friendly and have built a pretty good relationship with their customers. read more

Definitely my favorite poke shop in Anaheim and probably the closest I've had to authentic Hawaiian poke here in California. The fish is very fresh and is marinated in a myriad of sauces, as is tradition in Hawaiian culture. You can also add more sauces to be mixed in with the fish like spicy or ponzu sauce. Contrary to most other poke spots in California, this place keeps it simple, in regard to excessive toppings, and lets the fish shine on its own with the mandatory sides like rice, salad, seaweed, and crab meat. The caviar on top is just a finishing touch that helps to separate this joint from your run of the mill "make your own" type shops. I will be back for sure, hopefully sooner than later. read more

I've been coming to the Poke District for 7+ years and two owners ago. The previous owners knew me by name and were kind and accommodating. Since the current owners took over the quality and quantity of the poke bowls have gone down. I know, I know...inflation but we're seriously down to a narrow row of poke and a mountain of rice for a HIGHER price. Also, they keep changing their hours. A Google search shows 9 pm as the closing time and when I walked in today shortly after 8 pm, they shouted at me that they were closed. I could barely understand them as they were masked. Customer service is hardly anything to write home about. read more
