Still one of my fave poke spots in OC for authentic poke!!! I haven't been here in a hot minute but love to see that they're pretty affordable at around $17-18 (tax included) for building your own bowl. My go-to order is half brown rice/half salad, half salmon/half tuna, all the toppings, and spicy mayo sauce. They're kinda outta the way for me, so I don't visit often :-( wish they were closer!
Always looking for a good spot that serves poke-- glad that I came across this spot. Upon walking in, service was great. The worker was welcoming and offered to answer any questions. Plenty of tables available for dine in and restroom is available if needed. I ended up ordering through the kiosk and got the build your own with salmon, white rice, and original flavor. I like how it comes with imitation crab meat, cucumbers, salad, and a generous portion of furikake on top. The salmon is pretty fresh-- better than other poke spots in OC but can't compare to Hawaiian Fresh Seafood in San Diego and of course the poke in Hawaii. Would come back if in the area and do recommend!
Pretty decent poke spot with a different take on a build your own bowl with various components. I got the salmon and tuna with Godzilla (avocado aioli). Not much flavor besides the avocado taste so I had to add a little bit of unagi sauce and sriracha on the side. The crab salad was a bit too peppery for my taste. The cucumber salad had a nice wasabi dressing that complimented the fish. The brown rice and seaweed salad were standard. Not bad but next time I'll probably try the original sauce since they told me that's the most popular option.
Not at all a bad place for a more traditional styled poke plate. The interior was fairly clean and decorated with nice Hawaiian style wall decals and there was plenty of seating, considering my party dropped by during lunch time. I liked their kiosk ordering system, especially since the device is set up in a way that makes ordering easy and efficient. It's also nice to see all the available options and be able to take my time scrolling through the kiosk at my own leisurely pace! Even with the kiosks, the workers are very helpful and engaged if you need anything. There are also lots of different fun and unique sauces that you can select for your fish, like their "avocado aioli" and their "Godzilla" sauce! Along with canned sodas and celsius, they also sell several flavors of Hawaiian Sun juice- which also makes the experience more fun and gives a more authentic Hawaiian feel. The food wasn't at all bad. My build your own bowl had furikake rice, cucumber slices, seaweed salad, imitation crab, and my poke (which I customized and adjusted to my preference) while my friend--who doesn't like poke--got a bowl without any fish. The fish wasn't the freshest and the portion felt a little underwhelming for the price, but I still felt fairly satisfied with my meal and experience. It's definitely worth a try if you are in the area and want to try Hawaiian poke!
I haven't had poke in a long time, so I'm happy I got to try Poke District! I was blown away by how fresh the salmon was and it was paired beautifully with the creamy spicy mayo, which had more of a kick than I thought! You get an option of white or brown rice (or both), along with seaweed salad, cucumbers and imitation crab! This place is also so unique because you can buy the salmon or the tuna separately! Perfect for if you want to eat it with rice at home! The service was amazing and they even showed us our order before giving it to us to make sure everything was correct. It was pretty crowded when I went during lunchtime and the space is actually quite big to sit down and enjoy your food. Come here for the freshest poke!
Okay, this place is SO good. The portion sizes are perfect. I love how you can get half-and-half tuna and salmon, AND half-and-half salad & rice! Also you can ask for other sauces on the side which I really appreciated because I definitely wanted to try the avocado aioli but didn't want to commit to it (but it ended up being amazing!). The service is quick and you can either order at the cashier or the kiosk. The bowl comes with crab and seaweed salad so it's actually really filling even though it looks unassuming. Definitely recommend!
So yummy! I love how they have salad on the side to pair with the rice and poke. Even though the kiosk says you can only get one sauce you can ask for some on the side to be able to try other sauces that they have. My friends and I beat the dinner rush, but they were still really fast with the huge line that they had! Highly recommend if you're a poke lover such as myself!
One of my favorite poke spots to eat at with the entire family! Portions are always very generous and their flavors offered are delicious! Very friendly workers and the place is clean. Highly recommend coming here if you love poke!
Stopped by Poke District in Orange and overall it was decent. It's located in a strip mall with plenty of parking which is always a plus around here. Inside was clean, spacious, and had plenty of seating. The fish tasted fresh and the tuna and salmon were really good. My only issue was the lack of protein options compared to a lot of other poke places. If you're mainly a tuna and salmon person, you'll probably be happy here, but sometimes I like having a little more variety in my bowl. Not the biggest fan of the kiosk ordering either. I'm more of a people person and would rather order from someone than try to build everything on a tablet. It also felt a little limiting when trying to customize the bowl exactly how I wanted. Not a bad spot by any means, just didn't fully hit for me personally.

Been a few years since I've been back and am reminded on how delicious and fresh the fish is here. The customer service was great! Very friendly and accommodating. They corrected a mistake with my order without hesitation. Very laid back atmosphere. It did take a little over 15 mins to receive my order, but that must be the norm since there were constant customers still coming in while others were waiting for their orders to be completed. Will be back soon!
First time back in a few years. Easy parking for a weekday lunch. The build your own tuna bowl I had was tasty, fresh, and filling. The only downside was the wait - we used the kiosk to place our order and it took over 15 mins to get our 3 bowls.
It's been six years since I've made a review, and it's not because I haven't been back. I've been here very often and it never occurred to me that I haven't updated my review. Here's my update! Since my review six years ago, I've stopped by multiple times a year for food here. I've always built my own bowl with salmon as my protein, the Jay-o-Lee sauce, no salad, white rice, and plenty of onions. My rice always comes hot and the portions are always very generous. The sauce is delicious as it was always, and nothing ever changes. This business has changed by being more technologically advanced. They've inserted a kiosk for quick orders so the workers can focus on making the bowls instead. You can also order online for pickup, but the catch is, you can't earn points with your phone number unless you order in store. The inside is simple and modern. There are numerous tables and chairs for you to sit and quickly eat your bowl. There's free water, sauces, and your choice of forks or chopsticks. This place never disappoints me and always pulls me back. I will hold back from eating poke elsewhere to save my appetite for here. Thank you for always being good to me!
Literally my FAVORITE poke spot! It's simple and not complicated like other poke places with a million topping choices and whatnot. The food is always consistent and delicious. They only offer salmon or tuna with the option of half and half. I HIGHLY recommend this place because unlike other poke joints, they're not "by scoop". You choose your protein and they do the magic. With the heatwave coming, I'm definitely going to be making a trip back real soon! read more
We saw the reviews for this place and it looked really promising., I remembered coming here years ago but couldn't recall why I didn't come back. It was because the wait was so long. We waited 30 minutes for 2 poke bowls. They don't make it in front of you like other places which is strange. In my opinion, this is one of the few Poke spots in the area that reminds me of poke in Hawaii. The menu is very simple and straightforward and it's pretty easy to order. I recommend always calling ahead and placing your order that way I'll save you a lot of time and I'll be ready by the time you get there the portions are pretty big and I think the price is adequate for what you get. Make sure to input your number on the screen when you pay to collect the points and get a free bowl once you reach the number required. Solid local poke spot in the outskirts of Orange. Poke District specializes in Hawaiian style poke, which means you just get the fish, rice, and a couple sides. No crazy toppings, customizations, or the "Chipotle-model" if that is what you were expecting. I came here because I personally prefer Hawaiian style poke. There is only one size to order ($15) and you select the type of fish you want, along with your base. You can do half-and-half for your base. Right off the bat I noticed the fish was very fresh and buttery. I am not sure where they source their fish from or what the quality is (wild vs farm). I wish they put that information on their website or Yelp page. Nonetheless, the fish was very tasty and felt of high quality. The rice and sides were a decent portion and overall the entire serving was satisfying. I liked how they didn't over-sauce their fish to really let the quality shine. Service was friendly and fast. -1 star because it is a little pricey ($15) for what you get. read more

Poke District is my favorite poke shop in Orange County! I've been gojng here for years and haven't found a poke place in OC with fresher fish than here. They really give you a lot of fish compared to other joints. And its closer to what traditional Hawaiian poke is like (still not quite the same, but similar). My favorite thing about Poke District is that you can buy poke by the pound, again similar to Hawaii! Seriously, this place is worth the drive if you aren't nearby. Ambiance is nice but its not the kind of place you'll spend a long time at. Its really an eat and leave type of place because hey, it is poke. But I always enjoy my meal there because poke tastes best right after it's prepared. They always play island reggae music in there so it's always a vibe. The service is very friendly too. Tip: order on the phone to eliminate having to wait! read more

Simple clean restaurant in a strip mall. I got the half and half protein option and half and half for the base: white rice and cucumber salad. I added avocado which made the total ~ $18. Overall, generous portion and I got two meals from it. Definitely like this concept better than other places due to the protein to other ingredients ratio. I'm not a huge fan of tuna in general and probably would just stick with salmon next time. Pretty fresh and this is the type of place that sticks to one thing and makes it better quality rather than having a whole bunch of options for just ok standards. read more

One of the best poke places in OC. Unlike other poke places where it's like lunch line style, all meals are preset but honestly there's more than enough to satisfy. I like this place because they don't skip out on the fish, the sauce is not over powering the flavor of the fish and there's a good ratio of fish and rice. The place seems to be ran by a couple so it does take a while for the food to come out if it does get busy but it's honestly worth the wait. ( they're usually fast about it too. Longest I waited was 30 mins during rush hour) read more
Delicious poke with huuuuge portions. I was pretty hungry and I still couldn't finish it! I got a soy salmon bowl. It comes with imitation crab, seaweed salad, and a large portion of fish. Pretty good price for the amount you get. Besides that, I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and my order was ready pretty quickly. A great place for poke! read more

Came across this local Authentic Hawaiian Poke spot using my Yelp app and let me tell you boy oh boy this place did not disappoint. The salmon was so fresh, the toppings were all high quality which I loved. They did not have as much toppings as other poke spots however I preferred this more authentic Hawaiian spot. Service was great. The lady helping us was nice. And once the food was ready the gentlemen who made it confirmed with me the bowl looked how I wanted it. Never seen that before! Went here and the poke is pretty delicious. The service was a little slow but granted they only had 1 person making the poke and 1 person running the cashier and it was during the lunch rush so we waited a bit but still delicious. We got the large build your own bowl and the portions are pretty big so you get a lot of value for your money. I could have definitely shared my poke with my friend. read more

Aloha vibes forever! Closest poke that i've tasted to Big island hawaii. After living in hawaii for a while, it's been tough to find decent poke in california. The staff is not too shabby, typically show you the food before they bag it. This place brings nostalgia to the mainland. Good bite and light savory sauce... but of course, nothing comes close to Foodland poke! read more

My new favorite place for Hawaiian style poke bowls in Orange County! Poke District is located in the same plaza as Oshima and Holdaak, so lots of parking available. My main criteria for good poke is that the fish tastes fresh (aka not slimy/mushy or having a fishy taste) and this place definitely passes with flying colors. They are super generous with the portion of fish that comes with your bowl and I actually found myself having tuna leftover when I had eaten everything else in my bowl, whereas at other places usually my fish is gone by the time I'm halfway through a poke bowl. The bowl comes with seaweed salad, crab meat, and your base of choice (I did half brown rice and half cucumber salad). Everything paired beautifully together. I will note that they do not heavily season their fish like a lot of poke places do, which I personally don't mind, but if anyone likes their poke drenched in sauce - you might want to see if they can do extra sauce There's lots of small tables inside if you want to dine in. Overall great value for the price and such a filling but healthy feeling meal option! read more

One of the best poke shops I found recently! The first time I stopped by here, there were closed due to other circumstances, so I was pretty skeptical coming back here the second time. So glad to have come by here again! This poke stop isn't very customize-able as your ordinary poke places where you can just do unlimited toppings, so I was a bit confused at first. Based on whatever is on the menu, you order from there. I got the salmon poke and the quality here was really good! They gave a lot more salmon pieces than I expected and they were nicely chunky! I also ordered this with the creamy aioli and it was complemented well with the salmon. I also got the "originals" on the side which was nice and sweet! I want to try the other sauces next time. I'm glad they also included crabmeat with this cause I love crabmeat haha. The seaweed salad was also very fresh. You can mix the base of salad and brown rice with your order too. The plate overall doesn't have too much going on, but everything was really delicious. I wanted to dine in here, but it was oddly warm and stuffy inside. The staff was all really nice and chill! I've been here numerous times before since I used to go to self made for personal training. However when I came this time around, there was a moldy taste to my salad which caused me to not even able to finish the rest of the food... I'm very sadden by this. This won't stop me from coming because I'm sure it is just a mistake that the employees overlooked! But for future reference, I hope they look carefully to ensure the salads arent spoiled or moldy :/ read more

Been here twice in a month already and craving more. It's a pretty simple menu and more Hawaiian style poke. There is no multiple toppings to choose from or 10 sauces. It's simple with either salmon or tuna, your choice of a dressing (I just get the original soy and you can ask for another sauce on the side to try), rice and/or salad, seaweed salad, krab mix, and some tobiko on top. It is fresh and quite filling. I think it is well worth the price (~$16 a bowl). Definitely one of my top poke places in this area and I'm glad I found it! read more

Second time coming here. Menu is simple and truly for Hawaiian style poke lovers. Would give it 5, but when it's busy, it takes a bit of time and water dispenser had a bit of black specks. It's a very simple environment. Core to the food and kind of and island vibe. read more
Tried the wasabi flavor this time around it's good , doesn't have as much flavor and the avocado one for sure. Fish was incredibly fresh rice was steaming hot and seaweed salad was good. Will come back to try the different flavors read more

So I have always loved this place however, over the past few months I feel the quality of the tuna has gone down hill. Not sure if it's the quality of the tuna or how it is being trimmed but there sure are lots of chewy pieces in the past few orders. Maybe because they have hired a few new workers and the husband and wife team no longer is able to put the love and attention into each bowl like they used to. I like this place and want to see them successful but if others are having a similar experience as I am, they might start to lose customers/ regulars - if the quantity diminishes. read more
