Thanking God for the rainy day. Service was fast. Wings were awesome. Lost one star because of rude clueless bartender. My garlic fries weren't good today. But hey....can't win it all I guess. read more

Best wings i've come across in MKE yet. Flash fried, then grilled. Nice and crispy, great heat. There is a new area open in the back of the joint now with a full bar and a couple extra TV's. The extra seating goes a LONG way for comfort. It can get super packed in there and this alleviates a lot of that pressure. Get ready to make a mess of yourself and not be sorry. read more

You gotta go here for the wings. The wings are pretty effing awesome. Have been there a few times just to get the wing and I'd stay for a few beers to watch a game or something. Always a good time. Definitely more of just a hangout place. Very relaxed atmosphere. read more

Screw all other Yelp reviews. Here's what you need to know about Points East Pub: #1 - This is a dive bar. Don't expect things to be tidy, don't expect service at your table. #2 - Erica & Heather (the girls behind the bar) are nice if you are nice to them. If you're not nice, just leave the bar. Cuz they are gonna make your night a living hell. #3 - The wings are hot (spicy), they are amazing, and they take 1-2 hours to get. If you cannot handle the wait, go to BW3 and enjoy your nasty wings. #4 - Don't go here if you are high maintainance (see point #1 & 2) or in a rush (see point #3). I hope that clears up all the high/low reviews for this place. It's all about expectations. If u understand what you're getting into, you will LOVE this place. If not, you will HATE this place. read more

Awesome wings! Only bad thing was having to wait for an hour to get them. Only reason for losing a star. Also wish it was takeout.

Great corner spot. Woulda been 5 stars if the cook on Sunday night wasn't such a beeeotch. Oh and leave your coat in the car if you want to prevent it from stinkin like the fryer. Cool bartenders, good food, overall chill spot read more

Well I'm never coming to this place again. My wife has no ID - she's a 40 year old pregnant woman and they are refusing to let her in. To a wing place! Hey #PointsEastPub get real. She obviously not even drinking! Place is a stink hole with terrible service at the door. I mean give me a break dude. I will take my money elsewhere. read more

Ok, ok, ok. The hype is real. This place rules. I am not a fan of the dry wing, but the wings points east serves are phenomenal. Pretty decent beer selection, and lots of TVs. read more

This bar would get 5 stars if they updated the bathrooms. Seriously, I feel like I am going the bathroom in a poverty stricken apartment--ew! I wont go into detail but Points East, if you are listening, please remodel the Ladies Bathroom, we would appreciate it :-) This review in one word: WINGS. LOVE POINTS EAST WINGS-- my vote for best wings in Milwaukee. I like my wings dry and their spices are just right. They actually FRY and the GRILL the wings--The taste is simply amazing! The other menu items are good too. I tried a Moscow Mule last night for the first time in the copper cup, I've always been curious about those cute little copper cup drinks. It was tasty and refreshing made up of Ginger Ale, Vodka, and limes. Good stuff. They have a good beer selection on tap as well. Overall, great corner bar. My husband and I used to live in the neighborhood and we love coming back to this bar. They remodeled this place a couple years ago and it made a huge difference, they just skipped the bathrooms! read more

EAT THE WINGS. Omg. The. Wings. Hands down the best chicken wings I have had. GRILLED! Whoever made that call was thinking! I love this place, I can walk to it from my place, I love it to watch sports games, or to impress people with the wings. Sweet potato fries are good too. Drinks are priced fairly. Definitely recommend it. read more

I've been going to points east since I moved to Milwaukee. This is the kind of place with no frills... it's a complete hole in the wall with very few tables. It's the kind of place I would categorize as a dive. So why do I keep returning? For one thing: their amazing wings. The wings are 5 stars, hands down. They are the best wings in Milwaukee and in the top five wings I have had in my life. You don't go to this place for a quick bite to eat, you have to be committed to waiting for your food. Just know it is worth the wait. The one star I have taken off is because of the service... or lack thereof. You have to order at the bar, and very rarely is your table bussed while you are there. When you combine this with the fact that you sometimes are waiting 1 1/2 hrs plus for your wings, you accumulate quite a collection of glasses at your table. Other than that, if you go knowing what to expect, you'll be fine and will get to indulge in the best wings Milwaukee has to offer! As a side note, the place recently had a minor renovation. The area that that used to be the table in the very back has now been remodeled into the restrooms. I must say, the women's restroom is 10 times better than it used to be... I used to purposefully try to hold out as long as I could before braving the old restroom, the new one is clean and roomy, a great improvement! read more

I almost didn't write a review because I don't want them to get any busier! Best wings we've ever had hands down! So so good! Get 18 wings, you won't be sorry... read more

I may have mentioned this in other reviews, but I am a Wing FANATIC! I would probably choose wings as my last meal. Knowing this, my bf brought me here knowing how seriously I take my chicken wings. Setting- your typical bar scene, high tops and booths. The menu is written on a ginormous chalkboard on the wall. We ordered at the bar and waited a bit for the wings to come out. Dry wings?? My motto is - the saucier, the better. But I'm open-minded, so I dug in. MY GOODNESS!! Who knew dry wings could hold such moisture and intense flavor?! I loved every bite of them. If anyone knows of a better wing place in Milwaukee, please let me know cuz I'd love to try it out, but for now, these are my pick for best wings in MKE! read more

Oh the point east pub! A place to must visit on the east side of Milwaukee! This place has a reputation for their outstanding wings and they did live up to my dads and I expectation! I just moved into mke and have been looking forward to going to this place for such a long time. Once moved up I finally had the chance and was a little disappointed about the service and atmosphere more than the food. This bar has a very townie vibe with lots of locals stopping in days of the week just like us but little did we know they were going to be trouble. We watch a guy drink a bottle of hot sauce and get very angry at his gf multiple times throughout the 30 mins of our dinner. It was uncomfortable to watch but most importantly no one from the staff seem to care what was going on and if I wasn't with my dad and my friend Matt I would feel very threaten by this gentleman. Most importantly no one stop serving him and just let him keep getting more and more drunk and not resolving anything in the situation. My dad finally ask someone to take his name down or something from the ID scanner they have at the front door. The staff did claim that they would be on the look out for him in the future but not sure how accountable their word is due to no actions being made. Overall the food was excellent with the drinks but hope to see the staff change their attitude to address people like this going forward read more

Best wings ever with a twist - dry rubbed, deep fried and then grilled - no sauce. One word AWESOME!! The bar tender we had was friendly and efficient. We were in early and there was only a short wait. When I was paying my bill she warned me that the wait times for wings can get up to an hour and half at times so if possible come early. Great service, great food and a great beer selection. Prices are not bad - we had a large order of fries, 2 Shirley Temples, 1 beer and 30 really meaty awesome wings only $41 dollars with tax. Clean classy place. read more

It's the kind of place the unknowing passerby would miss, but it is an essential East Side stop. The wings will be worth every minute of what is sure to be a ridiculously good wait. Put your order in at the bar as soon as you get there and prepare to settle in for awhile. The charm of this place will grow on you and after splitting a pitcher (or two) of beer with your friends, the wait won't even feel that long. If you love wings, I promise you will not be disappointed. read more

Flat out, best wings in Milwaukee. Only down side is whens its busy, they take upwards of 1-1.5 hours...no waitstaff so the bar gets crowded when trying to order, but for those wings, its worth it. Head in by 6/630 and your usually good to go. read more

Great beer selection, and unique wings. Dry rubbed and grilled, they aren't very hot at all. If that's you're thing, then you'll like them, tons of flavor, and the dryness and chewiness of the outer layer from the flash- frying make them different than what I expected. read more

Erika made me order in 3 different languages (the love ones) but the Guinness pour and frothy chilled Stoli O rocked my world! Bill's special sauce on the beef tacos keeps ya coming ;) Their wings are still the BEST in the city! read more

What can I say, this place is awesome. I hate to use a cliche, but it is a diamond in the rough. While it appears the neighborhood locals have sniffed it out, the masses appear to have not found it yet. We ordered the onion petals, garlic fries, and wings. The onion petals, while pedestrian, hit the spot and go great with a cold draft. The garlic fries were simple but absolutely tasty and covered in fresh chopped garlic. The wings, only served in one flavor, are unique and unlike any I have ever had. They are fried then grilled giving you the best of both worlds. When my brother first told me about this place my first thought was that the wings must be dry after all the cooking, however I was wrong. The original buffalo sauce is perfectly spicy and the grilling makes it so it doesn't create a mess when eating it. In this day and age, it's hard to find a novel take on the chicken wing, but Points has found a unique way of doing them that no one else has. Lastly, I don't think I have ever gotten food so quickly in my life! We got our full order out in less time than it take McDonald's to serve up a BigMac. Bravo, Points East. Cn't wait to come back next time I am in Brew City. read more

Their wings are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only downfall is the wait, but it's totally worth it!!

Order consisted of: Jalapeño Poppers Chicken Wings Garlic Fries This is probably the biggest disappointment I've experienced in regards to food. The highlight of the meal was the jalapeño poppers. I like that they use pimento peppers (shouldn't it be Pimento Popper then?) and the cream cheese has a sort of Santa Fe flavor. The chicken wings: meh. I'm not entirely sure how this place makes a best wing in Milwaukee list. The wings weren't bad by any means, don't get me wrong, but I'll say Who's on Third does a better wing. Much better actually. The fries were solid, nothing to write home about though. Also a huge draw back is the entire atmosphere. It's extremely odd for a place to not allow take out for wings, burgers, etc. (typically "let me go grab an easy bite" foods). It seems like a place where they wanted to be a good bar and they served food once and it was a hit but now the bar is getting out shined by the wings and they don't like it. This just isn't my type of place I suppose. 2/5 maybe if I ran out of gas in the area and decided it would be a better idea to get food than gas I would go back but I wouldn't do that so I won't be going back read more

Great pub to either have a nice beer or bourbon and also to watch Sunday football!! They have a simple menus at great prices and Awesome wings!! Grilled? Yes please! read more

Walked in, ordered a $4.25 pint, was told the wait for wings was at least an hour and 1/2. Pounded my beer & went somewhere else to spend my money. Are here last year and waited over an over for food. They were good but not worth the wait. Fix your business. It's not even that crowded and you have to wait that long for food?? read more

First time here for what most people consider best wings in MKE. Wasn't too busy on Saturday afternoon, and took awhile for wings which arrived almost cold. The spice rub was very good, and would have got a better rating if they were actually served hot and steaming. Sorry I have had better wings in mke read more

I guess it really depends on what kind of bar you are looking for. If you are looking for a dance club type bar, then no, this is not for you. But, if you are looking for a relaxed bar with great wings then this is it. The bartenders are super nice and make the drinks very well. A mixed crowd of young business people, some tattooed people, and everyone seems to get along well. read more

Wow! Without question, the best chicken wings I've ever eaten. I flew into Milwaukee recently and rendezvoused with a Milwaukee native who told me ahead of time this place was the best. I was skeptical, but he was certainly correct. If you're into wings, this is a must taste. I WILL RETURN! read more

I really want to do a separate review for the wings, because that'd easily be a 5/5. But unfortunately this will be mostly about the service - it was terrible. You walk in, no one says a word to you, you just pick a spot to sit. You order at the bar. Yes, I understand this is a "pub" but that usually implies some sort of wait staff, otherwise what the hell is the tip for? The middle age blonde-dye job behind the bar was incredibly rude when I pointed out to her that we'd been waiting an hour and 15 minutes for, wait for it... wings and some french fries. Come on people. She acted as if we were being ridiculous for mentioning it. They never gave us a warning about wait time, if that had been the case, we would have gone elsewhere. Not only that, but there were some patrons that came in after us that got their food well before us. I don't want to hear about how their order was different or that they "might have just moved places." That's exactly what their excuse was, but we SAW them come in about 20 minutes after us. Hey - the wings are awesome. But I'll probably order carry out and make them give me an ETA next time. They're super understaffed... one cook is not enough for their volume. read more

Cool pub, great character. Bartenders on point. They have a good pour. Get the wings, get the wings.

Lori, you are right. I really like the atmosphere on a Sunday. And, the wings taste really good on Sundays....mondays.....tue...

There was a lot of hype surrounding this bar before I got there. Lot's of talk of wings. First off, as has been mentioned, you must order at the bar. Service at the bar is lackadaisical. Being female probably would've helped. However, my beer was served cold and with a clean glass. I ordered a dozen wings and was told of the 80 minute wait (I got there around 8). Well I wasn't going to turn away now (it's clear now this place survives on the hype). After about 15 minutes of yelling at each other over the music, we left to go hang out at a friends house while we waited. about 30 minutes later, we returned and continued the wait there. About an hour and a half after we ordered, the wings came. The seasoning is in the breading, they are unsauced wings. They were plump, good size. From the look of it, I would've thought they were baked and then grilled, but they could be fried and grilled. They were good. Actually they were quite good. Cooked through perfectly, good flavor, lots of meat and little mess. I would not say they were worth the wait. they were like 40 minute wait wings at best. However, the more I ate, the more I wondered if these were some pre breaded Tyson wings. The seasoning reminded me of some particular frozen wing brand, I believe Tyson. I am not sure how these got crowned best wings in the city. Perhaps I just hadn't had enough wings in Milwaukee, but maybe it's a matter of preference. When I think wings, I think of a raw wing that has been deep fried and slathered in sauce. Crispy taught skin, messy fingers, etc. If we are talking flavor alone, I would rather have BW3s. They may not be as big, but the sauces... Verdict: If you need to see for yourself, check it out. Go early or clear your schedule. However, if you are just craving wings, you could do quite well elsewhere with less wait. read more

I love this place. The wings are awesome, the vibe is casual, the crowd is diverse and friendly. We are here because this is touted on Yelp as a great sports pub. And they do have a lot of TVs to be sure. BUT. It is Game 1 of the Bucks-Raptors Eastern Conference Championship series, and we got here really early, just so we could get good seats and view the buildup on one of these many TVs. Nope. We actually had to ask, before the Bucks game started, to have at least one TV turned on to the Brewers. Happened, but audio was on Wheel of Fortune. Asking for that to change, we got the bartender's shitty music mix. It was just disappointing that for a highly rated sports pub in this city, on a truly historic MKE sports day, at 4 minutes before game time, we do not have the game network on all TVs and no sound. Boo, Points East. Oh, and at tip-off, shitty music mix is still on. read more

The most excellent tasting wings in Milwaukee. Hands down these are deliciously spiced and come with generous amounts of celery. The fries here are great as well. The only thing that's a bit daunting is the wait when it gets busy. We have never thought any amount of time wasn't worth it because when those wings come and you dive into that first bite it's a little piece of heaven. read more

Brought the boys here to try some of the award winning wings. We do a wing night every month or so and have tried many places. Points East has win many awards so we wantee to give it a try. If you dont know they only serve buffalo wings. They are about medium hotness. Very little sauce. But nice and crispy. Although the wings are very good they do not compare to the elite places in the area such as TomKens. read more

When you think of Wisconsin you think of beer, cheese and fried food. This is exactly what points east had to offer. Any time I see fried pickles on s menu I have a hard time passing them up so we started with an order of the pickle fries. Good batter and well made. We also ordered the garlic fries. The certainly weren't the prettiest dish I have ever seen (it was a huge basket of fries covered in roasted garlic) but they always say don't judge a book by its cover. The fries were perfectly crispy and had a nice batter on the outside. Despite me thinking that it would be too garlicy, it seemed to have the perfect amount. The shining moment of the night was their chicken wings. The dry rub the used was a nice change of pace from the normal wings I have that are slathered in buffalo sauce. They had a great flavor and nice dry heat. Bar food can be hit or miss but points east was definitely on point. read more

Not much of a review needed here. Best wings in town. Hands down. Great regulars and environment. If you're a visitor, make this one of your destinations. read more

Go to Buffalo Wild Wings. We waited for over an hour without any warning for our mediocre bar food. The wait was no where near worth it.

Best wings in town. I'd say best I've ever had. I'm not a big sauce person, and I loathe breading on my wings, so these hit the spot. They have a fantastic flavorful and spicy rub and are fried and then finished off on the grill. This leaves them crispy and juicy. And they are big, very meaty. I live close to here and it is torturous to have to walk the dog past and smell the wings but not get to go in. Other things you need to know. - 21+ only -Good beer selection -Lots of TVs -New bathrooms -be prepared to wait a long time for wings (45 min+) if they are busy, it's worth it! read more

If you are looking for great bar food, great beer options and one of the most fully stocked bars (especially their liquor options) this is your place. It's not a big bar and has a small grill, but if you can be patient (as the food can take over an hour some nights) it will be well worth it. The bartenders are a blast, they have a ton of TV's that you can see from any spot in the place, with a variety of sports on. Plus... The music is usually pretty stellar. read more

Good beer and a good burger!!! I knida feel like a minority for not ordering the wings..
