A couple of quick tips: don't ask for ketchup and you can't recreate/customize your food--you can remove items but you can't add on. That being said, I kind of dig that they are that committed to their operation and menu. It's a small menu and kitchen--and they bust it out. Super delicious smash burgers (the lacing on them is a work of art and tasty) and some of the best onion rings around. Thank you for making them fresh!!! Good grief, I'll never understand why more places don't do this. So--yay! To the Fox Den team cause it makes a difference and it's a happy one. The nachos are also pretty killer. Love the wonton chips. I haven't had them yet but I did see someone else dining on the chicken wings and they looked pretty epic. Their reco was for the garlic parm sauce.

Checked out this food stall in Great Lake Distillery on a Friday night & it was not busy at all! Nice spot to get a filling meal & a beer. The spot is brightly lit & showcase the brewery in the back. I tried the umami burger & chimi hendrix and both really good! I love how smashed the burger was but definitely a split in half before taking a bite type of sandwich. The meat to bread ratio was crazy with how flat the patty is. I liked the chimi hendrix for the chimchurri sauce incorporated.

Fox Den is in the Great Lakes Distillery. Remember their number one rule - NO ketchup. Do NOT ask. I got the Thai Chicken Smashburger and Tony got the Bang Bang Burger. Portions are HUMONGOUS! Both burgers were cooked really well, thoroughly smashed. The problem was the seasoning. Mine came with some carrot and scallion slaw on top, but the chicken patty was so incredibly bland. There was just a slight peanut butter flavor and some spice I didn't recognize. It needed salt badly. Tony's burger, on the other hand, was way too salty, He said the bang bang sauce was pretty tasty once he got to it in the middle. Maybe their sides are good? We didn't get any. I had a maple rum and coke, syrupy and strong. I'm used to a lighter rum, like Bacardi. I liked it, though. Service was great. The place is really super loud. About the no ketchup rule ....you can choose from a variety of sauces like sundried tomato aioli or bang bang sauce, for example, for a dollar each. People next to me were eating French fries just plain. I would never. I'm not down with the no ketchup rule. Too bad, because I really wanted to like the place.

Tucked away like a fine oyster just booming to breakout of the distillery's clam. Oprah couldn't finish one of these delicious double smashies, but Gayle could! But it's not just amazing beef curtains,. Give yourself a giant big "O" and get the rings. to the pale and stale the spicy bang sauce is spicy. The bartenders in the distillery are more fun than Woody and Sam and just has a hidden great vibe. If you're into gummies, go ahead and pop one to give you chance to finish a basket!

The eats! Look at the size of that smash burger!

Fox Den is conveniently located within Great Lakes Distillery Tasting room and boy oh boy is it delicious! The smash burgers are huge too! I got the "Annie R U Oakley, R U Oakley Annie" and it was excellent. We also got some orders of fries and onion rings (they come with a variety of sauces) which were also great! The staff at the window were very knowledgable including allergen info and service was fast. Definitely would come here for burgers again!

I really enjoyed my experience trying fox den. I got a burger (it was shockingly huge) and my friend got the chicken wings (again, large) and that alone made this such a fun place to try. We also got fries to share and we thought everything was delicious! We started plotting on what we would come back and try before we even left the first time. Apparently they don't do ketchup so it was also kind of cool to think of what other sauces we wanted with our fries. It's a chill place and we got our food and sat at the bar.

Friendly staff and quick service, being inside of Great Lakes Distillery works. The burger was great, huge patties and amazing flavors. Only critique is the bun. It's a nice soft bun but maybe too soft. I'd definitely come here again to try their other burgers

My hubs had this pop up on Instagram, and we decided to try it with friends. We found parking in the lot without a problem, and we got there right in time as the inside filled up shortly after we arrived. (About 6:30 on a Friday.) My husband had food allergies, and the person at the register suggested he not order anything at all. He ordered the bang burger, and while they could leave off the bang sauce they charged extra to replace it with bbq sauce. Definitely a first, and not great service imo.(This option is allergy friendly for egg, nuts, and sesame allergies.) The burgers were all delicious and humongous. They are a little pricey for just a burger, but it is well worth it. The fries were also very good. Our friends got the curds, which were squeaky with a great batter. Perfection. They also were very happy with the burgers they ordered. I want to go back to try more things on the menu. I think the excellent food compensated for the subpar response to the allergies.

Chicken smash burger?! Yes please! This is located inside the Great Lakes distillery (walk in and to the left). There's ample parking in a connected lot or on the street. We ordered food and then sat at a table near the bar to also order drinks from the distillery (two separate processes fyi). We ordered the wonton nachos to start and each ordered a burger (buff chick and bang!). They are quite big! My chicken burger was on the cusp of being too salty but I enjoyed it otherwise. The nachos were so so so yummy! My friend liked their bang burger too. The person working the window was very nice and the food came out within a reasonable time given how busy he seemed. Overall, I'll definitely be back for those nachos and I'd give a chicken sandwich another try but maybe would try a different version.

SO good. The atmosphere is very chill. There's a big bar in the middle that you can sit at and tables around it. To order food you go to an "order window" so it feels very laid back. Burgers are AMAZING. Huge smash patties with wonderful flavors. Onion rings were crispy and good, fries has unique flavors that I loved and cheesecake bombs were to die for!! Best food I've had in awhile plus reasonable prices. Oh, almost forgot the frozen caramel Milwaukiatto drink, amazing!

The food was amazing. Found out about this little gem today on TikTok. We ordered burgers, fries, cheese curds and garlic parm wings. My husband would have like the wings to be cooked a little harder. The cook was nice and friendly. Fast service. The location was very clean and the drinks from the bar. OMG!

We came to Great Lakes distillery to taste whiskey, and we had lunch while we were there at Fox Den (the food is a separate company from the drinks). The food is fresh and creative. I had the Chimi Hendrix burger and their famous fries. The owner is sassy, which adds to the experience.

Great smash burgers, probably some of the best I've ever had. The wonton nachos were amazing and the fries and dipping sauce were outstanding! Will definitely be back

I had the Unami burger and fries and it was excellent. The burgers were cooked "smash" style with a crisp caramelized taste.

They have indoor and outdoor seating for the season. Great for mini hangouts with friends. I tried their soup of the day , broccoli cheese, and salad that was pretty good. They got my dressing wrong, supposed to be ranch but it was bleu cheese. It seems the place was busy and only had one server so it took sometime to receive the entrees, so plan ahead if you're expecting to eat hungry.

Von Trier is an institution -- not the bad kind, like a "mental institution", or an "Ale Asylum" (I…read morelove that name!); the very good kind, as in a cultural and community treasure. I'm old enough to remember the place when it was Rieder's. Already a warm and special place, with a jukebox filled with classical music, it had a groovy mid century modern decor and was a hangout for MSO musicians after concerts. It acquired its lavish, present-day German decor when it was sold to Karl Lotharius. I don't recall how much longer, after that, the jukebox survived, but the astounding decor remains. Alas, there's a reason for my one star (which, I hope and assume, the present owners will notice) . . . and it has to do with a certain scourge -- the maddening omnipresence of which is second only to that of A.I. I refer to TV screens. There have been several ownership changes since Lotharius departed this mortal coil, and I honestly don't know at what point in time it was decided to tarnish the decor with the addition of several TVs. (I was so enraged by the sight of them, when I first entered the front door after a long time away, that I didn't bother to look at the back room; consequently, I have no idea whether the scourge has ruined that room as well.) Clearly, in jumping on the "give the people what they want" bandwagon, the owners (current and/or recent) believe that there's no such thing as too many sports bars (or at least, bars that can be compelled to serve that function at least some of the time). Gosh, I would think that people who are so into SPORTS, when coming upon a bar lacking screens, would have sufficient fitness, energy and motivation to walk a block or two extra, if necessary, to find and enter one of the many other establishments equipped to satisfy their jones for that pathetic fix. But then again, I guess it's that fundamental laziness that makes them mere spectators. There's only one thing worse than a proprietor so lacking in imagination, individuality, courage and self-respect that, when choosing a design for their establishment, they cave to the TV trend. It's a proprietor who ruins an EXISTING treasure by plunking multiple TV screens into the middle of it all. Like turds in a punch bowl. It's great to "get away from it all" for a while, isn't it, for a nice meal, drinks and conversation? The thing is, if I want a TV screen, I can see one at home. (But I don't want to. Not always, anyway. To judge from what TV, movies and commercials show us, every home now has the same standard, ugly, huge plastic rectangle (the TV screen) dominating its designated room(s), out in the open. As for me, I require mine to live inside a closed cabinet. It only comes out when I say that it can.) And, rather than seeing constant reminders that our world has all but become the kind of dystopia in which there's no escaping that intrusive electronic barrage, I could instead just stay at home and watch any of the many sci-fi movies on that theme (a theme that used to be merely a warning. Now, such films more resemble documentaries.) Shame.

The pub itself has a similar vibe to Three Lions. I ADORE the Union Jack painted on the ceiling and red English phone booth. It is reminiscent of a stereotypical "English" pub (and yes, I have been to many - mostly outside of London - in the past 3 years). There was only one employee working at my time of visit, and maybe 10-15 other patrons. I ordered the Ruben rolls, which were great but left in the fryer 2 mins too long. Sadly, they did not have any of the ciders or beers I longed for.... which is understandable these days due to tariffs. I definitely plan on going back to see what the vibe is like during World Cup matches.
