Chilaquiles and beans
Hanh N.

This brunch place is def busy during the weekends, expect a wait during peak breakfast hours 9 am- noon. Luckily there's a lot to check out in the plaza. I am obsessed with their hash browns. You can taste the farm to table quality. The mural has local nods, like the Anaheim ducks mask. Always clean, fast service. You have to order at the counter then sit. A local gem!

Came to Poached for a birthday brunch with some family. You order at the front and you can seat yourself or staff can help you. There was a lot of seating but it was pretty busy and honestly inside felt a little tight. We ended up outside. It was sprinkling a little but it was ok and they turned on their heaters. The food choices were basic and nothing too crazy. I got the regular pancakes with a side of eggs and sausage. I think the sausage was the best part of the meal. The pancakes tasted like they were made with water and not milk. They were very mid and disappointing. Everyone felt like their food was ok, the presentation definitely leaves you feeling underwhelmed when you actually taste the food. The place is cute, it's in a convenient location but the food is just fine. Service was very friendly and helpful. No complaints with them.

Discolored from the bleach in their bathroom

Horrible management, rude staff, and absolutely disgusting service. A worker sprayed the entire bathroom with bleach without putting up any warning signs, and my son's pants were discolored as a result. When we politely brought it to his attention, he didn't apologize or show the slightest concern. We simply wanted them to look into it to protect future customers not compensation. When I asked for the manager, she literally waved the worker off and continued eating without even acknowledging us. FOUR employees, including the manager, and not one person had the decency to apologize. To make matters worse, as we left, they started laughing and scoffing at us. Absolutely disgraceful. Accidents happen, but the complete lack of accountability, professionalism, and basic human decency is inexcusable. The manager's behavior was especially appalling. If this is how they treat customers who raise concerns politely, they have no business working in customer service. Avoid this place.

Crazy too think this place is right down the street from me and I've never even noticed it. I love a good brunch spot, and will go anywhere to find some good chilaquiles. This place is different. Quick service but table setting as well you order before getting to your table. After I was finished eating I kinda felt like I wanted something else but I would have to go up instead of just asking my waiter to put in something else for me. The food was good, the chilaquiles verdes needed a tiny bit of spice tho, there pickled onions were good that I asked for an extra side to give it a little more tang since it needed something. I'd come here again and try more things on the menu. Everyone seems super helpful and good helping staff. I give it a solid 4.5. The vibe is super chill and comfy. Gave me time to read my bible while I was eating.

Classic Benedict

It was my first visit here since it was nearby my place. It was a quick service brunch imo as we walk in ordered and the host tells you what number table to sit at. The restaurant was pretty crowded at 11am still. But I tried the classic Benedict, pancakes (plain) with sausages and a blueberry matcha. Everything tasted fresh and not too greasy and salty which is what prefer nowadays! The jalapeno hot sauce was great and the restaurant was nice and cute with a patio area. There was a bit of a wait at noon so I suggest coming shopper early.

Read reviews hoping for a better experience. Ordered classic breakfast and a burrito. Eggs ordered over medium, definitely not. Super runny and undercooked. Only offer soft drinks in bottles. Food came out barely warm. Fruit was the best item. Clean, friendly staff. No check in, or ask how meal is going.

I love coming here. There are both indoor and outdoor patio seating. It's clean and servers are friendly and attentive. We were a party of 10 and they offered to take our orders at the table instead of ordering at the counter. The server was also willing to do individual checks! That was really accommodating. There is a wide selection of menu items. It's been fun to try something different each time. My Short Rib Omelette was very tasty and flavorful. It was a good sized meal. I couldn't even finish it. My iced lavender latte was perfect. It hit the spot. A great place for brunch but make sure you come early. It gets crowded.

Breakfast tacos

This is a nice restaurant at the end of a strip mall setting. It has plenty of parking, easy to get to. Has an outdoor seating area attached with a nice open feel to it. It is a walk up to order place. The service was fine. The food good. I had the breakfast tacos and the garnish was fresh and the tomatillo sauce flavorful. It was average on cost about 20$ per order with a coffee. I like sit down dining with more service. It was clean and the staff was friendly and attentive.

Breakfast burrito

Came here by a friend's recommendation as my husband and I were meeting up with them. For what it's worth, I like the ordering system where you go up to the counter to order before finding a seat since it made it much easier to split our bill. For the price, they give you a good amount of food. I got the egg scramble with ham and cheddar cheese. It came with toast (my husband picked sourdough for me) that was buttered and had a bit of jam on the side. It also had hash browns. The food was delicious and filling. My husband got a breakfast burrito in which he forgot sometimes he isn't a fan of them because they overload with potatoes, but he said he really enjoyed this one. Considering I'm also pregnant in my first trimester, I was so glad they had milk to help with my calcium intake. All in all, I would definitely come back here given the chance. (I'm from the Bay Area in Northern California so visiting regularly isn't quite feasible.)

Strawberry lemonade

Fast casual brunch spot with pretty good food and service. Parking is easy if you utilize the BevMo side of the plaza. Nice patio seating where you can bring your dog Food/Drink- 4.5 stars Everything was pretty solid. Food was excellent. Drinks were fresh -pork chop with pomegranate sauce- pretty good and you can taste the higher quality of ingredients. Cooked perfectly -pancakes with ricotta and blueberries- this was good, but it would've been better if they mixed the ricotta into the batter -strawberry lemonade- freshly squeezed, delicious and not too sweet -matcha strawberry latte- this was ok. It tasted like the Costco matcha powder with strawberry jam thrown in Service- 4.5 stars Food came out pretty quickly. They did seem a bit understaffed at the tables, as you had to fetch a server for any drinks. And there were a good amount of tables that were unavailable since there weren't enough bussers to clean out the tables to accommodate the weekend rush Bottom Line Really solid brunch spot that I'll be visiting on the regular

Birria Eggs Benedict
Nipsy T.

Nice place for brunch. First time coming here. Good menu variety too. Food quality and presentation were on point. The flavors of the Birria Eggs Benedict were delicious. The only thing that prevented this from being five stars is the fact that the meat itself was not hot enough, lukewarm unfortunately. The drinks were great, and the service was fantastic.

This is a casual brunch spot where you order at the counter and grab your own seat. It gets pretty busy, so definitely try to come early. Breakfast Burrito - Even though I'm not usually a burrito person, this one surprised me in a good way. It was packed with flavor and had everything you'd want in a solid breakfast bite: chorizo, sausage, bacon, eggs, tomato pico, hash browns, white cheddar, aioli, and salsa roja. Really satisfying. Chilaquiles Verde - This was my first time trying chilaquiles, and unfortunately it just wasn't for me. The sauce leaned too sour, and the chips were already soggy. In hindsight, I probably should've asked for the sauce on the side so the chips could've stayed crunchy. Omelette - Simple but good. The bread that came with it wasn't crispy which loses some points. Tuna Melt - Tasty overall, though a bit greasy. Definitely very filling. Overall, a solid brunch spot with some hits and a few misses depending on what you order.

The folks seated next to us ordered the lamb chop medium and it came out medium rare. It looked great but was slightly underdone for what they expected. Next, my wife's lamb came out and was grey to the color and cooked beyond medium. We asked for another dish to be fired. Instead the chef sent the server back out and asked that my wife sample the lamb as the grey color was caused by the sauce rather than the meat being overcooked. It was overcooked. In many years of fine dining we have rarely sent back an entree but when we have the restaurant has always made the effort to correct concern not blame the customer. Diners at both of our adjoining tables were also surprised by how the restaurant handled the issue. I had the Uni Pasta which was very salty to the point that you could not taste the Uni. We were hoping to add another nice dining experience restaurant to our go to places. Wild Artichoke will not be on this list.

Very similar to the motel eggs - there is no way they were made with real eggs in the shell, most likely pasteurized liquid or powdered egg mix was used. We were so disappointed with the eggs, we still talk about it to this day. The breakfast/brunch items with eggs were not worth $16. The menu even stated, omelette has 6 eggs and the scramble has 3 eggs so it seemed as if fresh eggs were being used. Needless to say, we didn't finish even half of the food. We walked in around 3-4pm on a Tuesday- place was empty... There wasn't a soul inside. There was a bar tender cleaning glasses and he looks up and says "you guys looking for a place to sit?" I instantly responded "No, we're looking for lunch is this place open?" He seemed so bothered by us which was the second red flag after his lil "looking to sit down" comment. He proceeded to sit us down at the farthest corner from the door. We ordered our drinks. And when the waiter brought my friends coke, it looked so flat it almost looked like ice tea from 10 feet away. It was so obvious that it had no carbonation. I made a joke about it and we laughed. There wasn't a single bubble of carbonation in the entire glass, it was so bad. We joked and laughed about it when the waiter came back my friend said to him " I think this is the flattest coke I've ever been served" in a joking manner (it literally looked like ice tea) the waiters reaction was sooooo rude, he rolled his eyes, said something to my friend in a snarky tone which I didn't really hear but the way he grabbed the drink and walked away was really unnecessary and overly aggressive He was so bothered by him serving us a flat Coke? I didnt understand why he took that snarky attitude but my friend works as a waiter so his solution was to throw money at the waiter in hopes that he would stop treating us like we were 2 homeless dudes in a soup kitchen. When he brought the drink (as an olive brand and so he wouldn't spit in our food )my friend handed him a 20$... every time he came to our table my friend would hand him 20$ in cash and apologize. He came at least 3-4 times to check on us but I was already no feeling his vibe. My friend tipped him significantly more than what our bill even was. I was upset by that but my friend said it's a server/waiter thing. So if someone treats you poorly you throw money at them? I don't get the logic But regardless... There's a reason why nobody was here at this business during lunch. Food was mid. Nothing special. Service was bad, confrontational and just over the top sassy for no reason. I don't recommend I wouldn't come here even if it was free!
