So in the summer, instead of sucking in air from the inside of the house, it would be be sucking in 100F air from outside, making the AC inefficient. He took the time to drive to the store to get sealant to fix the leaks inside the intake box, and spent an hour applying the sealant himself. Did not ask for any extra money, did not complain, had a great attitude, and really wanted to make sure that he gave 150% effort to the customer. Then he re-tested the system and the system passed this time showing barely any leakage. Gave us the report and the paperwork needed for the building inspector. If you do your own HVAC upgrade without a city permit, you think you save money by not having to spend money on HERS testing. Nothing could be farther from the truth. When it comes to spending money, I'm cheap. I didn't realize that Jason's job is to make sure that the extra money you spend on upgrading your ducts/AC equipment to more efficient equipment is not in vain due to leaks in your ducts A+++ experience with using this company for HERS testing, and will recommend to others to use this company.

Another 2 years later in 2023 I call RKM for routine maintenance and all of a sudden my AC stops working. Over the course of a week I had 4 different techs come out including the owner. Another 1k bucks later my AC was fixed. Fast forward to 1 week ago, my AC stops working again for the 3rd time in a 6.5 years. Due to my history with RKM I decided to call another company out that did an amazing job. They thuroughly explained to me how the shortcuts that were taken installing my unit were the reasons the water drainage line was backing up and triggering a safety switch. They also showed me how during my last "routine maintenance" RKM decided not to put a basic air filter that goes in my blower/furnace. Im not willing to accuse them of purposely doing this but when you get hired for a routine maintenance and end up charging 1k to fix the problem you created it sure looks badly. I have receipts to show all of this and I should be charging RKM for the competent work that was done to fix the shortcuts and possible sabotage that came from their techs. Do yourself a favor and do a little extra research, you never know whos paying for reviews.

We had a lil hiccup with our report, it required our plans to be modified, which he took the extra steps to help us overcome. They tried to sell me over the phone. When SunRun sent someone to review the property, the guy was her less than 5 minutes. He was checking a box without even trying to pretend he cared. I have been in my house for 23 years without any roof repairs. I was due for picking up the tile and putting down new paper as well as making sure I didn't have any water damage. The roofing crew were thorough, clean, and prompt. Next came the delivery of material. On time and professional. Finally, the installation of solar and batteries started as scheduled. The local inspector was a doozy but that didn't phase the crew. Eric and Edeer would answer my questions and personally call me whenever I reached out and proactively to keep me updated. I can't say enough about a company that puts the emphasis on customer engagement. You won't get this service from the larger companies. They use too many subcontractors and focus more on volume. He did not show any pictures or anything to support his reasoning. I declined the service because I got a new system less than a year ago. I got a second opinion from a different company.
