This weekend I had the great homeowner event happen- backed up/clogged main line... I contacted Plumbline Services and Chauncy L. came out to be my house rescuer. He was polite, professional, personable and was wanting to help me in any way he could. I was very impressed at his tenaciousness at tackling my 1960 brick house with weird access panels and tight quarters. K truly felt that he cared about my stress and wanted to help. He fixed my issue and gave me sound advice to maintain my plumbing lines. I will definitely be calling Plumbline Services again if I am in need of house rescue again!! Cost: $262.00 due to difficult access to my main drain/line and additional labor to get to the line and comes with a 30 day warranty. read more

I can't comment on the pricing or quality of worked performed, but I can comment on them cancelling late, missing their appointment windows, or not showing up at all. I phoned Plumbline on Friday, May 25th to request some maintenance on our A/C, and was pleasantly surprised to find out they would send out a technician on Memorial Day. Within a few minutes of their appointment window, I received a call cancelling the appointment due to "unforeseen circumstances". I get it, it's Memorial Day: people call in sick, jobs go long, everyone turned their A/C on for the first time in months and they're all not working, etc. I rescheduled for Friday of the same week, and the scheduler at dispatch confirmed between 9-11AM, and to put a point on it said "first thing THIS Friday, we will NOT reschedule again on you". By 11:30 on that Friday nobody had shown up, and I had not received a phone call. I called Plumbline and was told that they had me scheduled for the following Friday (June 8). Why would I reschedule a cancelled appointment for nearly two weeks later? I informed the dispatcher that I was told I would be first thing that Friday, and I had now been stood up twice. To her credit, the dispatcher remained polite while I was letting off steam, and agreed to waive the $49 fee to have the technician out if I could make room for an 11-1 appointment for Monday, June 4. I agreed to do so. My wife, the brains of the operation, intelligently scheduled one of their competitors to come out on the same day between 2-4 because she had no faith that Plumbline would show up on time. My wife truly is a brilliant woman: Plumbline called at 1:30 (for those of you keeping score at home, that's 30 minutes after the end of their appointment window on attempt #3) and left a voicemail stating the technician would be at our home close to 3pm. I promptly did what Plumbline did not have the courtesy to do with me in the last 3 failed appointments: I called them BEFORE their person wasted his or her time, and cancelled the appointment. Fool me once? Shame on you. Fool me twice? Shame on me. Fool me three times? Well, my wife is the brains of the operation for a reason. read more

Terrible service and smug attitude. I'd certainly take my business elsewhere. They blew off our appointment and didn't have the decency to call or apologize afterwards. read more

I they did a great job opening the drains. They came by the house on time and left the place clean. PRO TIP: this goes for all plumbers, don't listen to the upsells or the "problems" they discover. Just have them snake the drain and leave. They do the work cheaply to try to talk you into more extensive work. read more

Horrible company. My mother in law had a clogged drain. She called Plumbline and they sent out a tech. He ran a camera and told her the black clog in her drain was metal and they would need to jack hammer the basement floor up and replace all her pipes. They quoted her 12000.00! but offered her a whopping 10% senior discount (so nice!) . She called me and I told her to get a second opinion. We had an independent company run a scope and we were told it was just a grease clog. We also got a bid for replacing the pipes that Plumbline wanted to replace and was told 2000 - 3500 max. She called and cancelled with Plumbline and they called back multiple times offering a lower price because "they didn't want to lose a good customer" So sad a company would do this to a senior citizen knowing they could scare them into having all this work done! read more

Plumbline installed our furnace 5 years ago. It was expensive but came with a "guarantee." It has been a fussy highly maintained unit since then. We also pay Plumbline too maintain the furnace. The last time they looked at it was December 2021--they gave it a clean bill of health. We change the filters monthly. Lately we have been getting "Blower Lockout" messages and the furnace just stops working. We called and they sent a tech right over who said that we had "drywall dust" from a remodel 4 years ago in the blower and that it was not normal use and that we would have to pay $2K for a new blower. Hahaha--good one, Plumbline. We pointed out that they maintain that unit and have never reported this "drywall dust" from the long-ago project, that the remodel was done in an area on another floor that was sealed off with no returns AND that Plumbline, two years ago, jackhammered out the basement next to the furnace without protecting the furnace. The tech said that in light of that information the person who looked at the furnace in December was either lying or didn't know what he was doing--so he was going to have a manger call us. When Plumbline thought they could shirk the guarantee and have us pay $2K for a new blower--they were available the very next day to install it. When Plumbline realized that we would hold them to their guarantee--we never heard from them again. Hey manager--you were supposed to call me 2 weeks ago. My phone number hasn't changed. I am, however, married to a lawyer. read more

SCAM! BEWARE! They charged $5,200 and didn't fix my pipes. Then tried to charge another $5k to actually fix. Extremely unprofessional about it when called out on his scam. If you're willing to throw money away, choose them. read more

I was given a "sticker shock" estimate by a technician to install a water heater(which I already bought) for more than $2300! The plumber claimed he would need a 2nd man and an entire day to do this job. Something about his estimate didn't feel right so I decided to go with a Lowe's contractor who offered to do it for just over $700 and wouldn't need more than a couple of hours or a 2nd person. Also, see this video link about Plumbline in the local Denver news. You will be shocked. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1wftj0OoAM read more

I really didn't want to write a bad review :( I didn't have any issue with the owner or the installers, but the sales person told us a price and it ended up being about $1,700 more than the price. When I looked back, it was a proposal and not a 'contract.' It's just upsetting because we ASKED, "so the total is this? Yes. So this is what will be charged to my card? Yes." Then it ended up being the price of a Honda Civic. The email and paperwork showed 'net investment' of the price which was circled in red, and was described as our cost. Then they said this other amount was what we needed to pay after the fact. It was kind of deceptive paperwork. The installers were fine and respectful. There seems to be a pattern of many people having an unexpected bill of $1,000+ more than they thought it would be. read more

Stephen Calvillo was the tech that turned up and he and the whole experience with Plumbline was excellent. They were able to get a tech here in a timely manner, confirmed the day before and on the day and Stephen called 45 minutes out. The cost for the inspection, analysis and recommendations was $49, a lot less than others. Better than that he offered advice on what to do rather than only writing up a report to do it himself and charge for it. The adverts we see every morning are true to their word, if I have any issue going forward I will call these guys, they didn't even ask me to write this but felt I should. read more

Ran into an issue with a gas leak at my home following the Xcel gas outage. Reached out to Plumbline for help considering they did our furnace, AC, and water heater. (large ticket items) They were unable to get out in a timely fashion causing me to call another company for the sake of expediting getting the gas turned back on to our property. Xcel explained that the first step would be a pressure test. I reached out to Plumbline, as a loyal customer, for an idea as to cost to determine if the other quote I got was fair. They refused to provide a price for this standard service without me paying for a technician to come out. This is entirely unnecessary as the gas to the home is off, the meter is locked, and the system has been red tagged by Xcel. Given the poor information and customer service on the front end, I can only imagine what I could've expected had I gone through with the service. Glad I was able to avoid paying the extra service call. I'll definitely call around more in the future and I certainly won't be calling these guys back. read more

Left a message with their service on Sunday asking for a call back on Monday. Called on Monday about 10 am asking for a call back to let me know one way or another if they could help me. Booked an appt on line for Tue, because I still had hope. When I still didn't get a call by 5:00pm on Monday, I called and cancelled. If they can't return either of TWO phone calls within 24 hours, they're not very interested in being of service. Even tho they had no interest in treating a customer well, I had the courtesy to call them and cancel. The clerk that answered the phone didn't seem like she thought no return phone call was an issue. I'd never try them again. Sorry I was fooled by their advertising read more

My sewer backed up into the basement. Horrible, flooded, dirty. I cleaned it up and called Plumbline. A man came out , ran a camera from the backyard towards the house and said it was clogged very badly and was old and had to be replaced. He could do it for $12,000.00, but if I did it before Thursday, he'd cut me a deal and only charge $11,000.00. Ha! I called another service who only specializes in sewer lines and they came out, brought in a man and he snaked the line , opened it for $300.00 It took him awhile, but he said he had no idea how they determined all the BS they told me, because the line was not clear enough to even visualize the problem.. God bless this honest man. as apparently they are few and far between. BE very, very careful and do not use this "do I have a deal for you" company who will take you to the cleaners. Get second opinion. I may be old, gray and female , but the one thing I am not is STUPID. Do not use this company. EVER. This was disrespectful, dishonest, an insulting. It's repulsive to think that there are shisters like them in the world, parasites who victimize those they think inferior or stupid. read more

Disappointing at best... Made an appointment for AC check up. The first appointment was cancelled by them with out letting me know. I called them after taking the day off to be home. The second appointment was set and I received 5 calls about it. #1 to ask if they could come earlier than set time. Yes, Please. I could get more done.... #2 to confirm the new time. #3 was to tell me they couldn't make the new time. #4 was to see if I was going to be home at the original set time... #5 20 later then the set time from the dispatch sending out a technician... Really poor job by the technician. He poked a hole in both of the air ducts without repairing them. After his testing, he offered 3 options. #1 to replace the contact elements $450. #2 clean out unit and replace the contact elements $ 2,500. #3 to replace the unit with newer model $5k-8k. depending on which size we wanted. This unit is 5 years old and is located in a protected area. Looks new. I was able to replace the contact myself for $75. Don't use these guys.! read more

My 81 your old mother called them for a leak under her kitchen sink , had a loose drain pipe fitting. The technician for unknown reason then went down in her basement use a pipe wrench to open an old cast-iron sewer main for some unknown reason I suspect you wanted to scope the line. Well as expected he broke the entire cast iron sleeve trying to get the plug out. He Called the supervisor out they convinced her that her sewer line out to the main was defective and sagging whatever that means . Long story short and $19,000 later they sleeved her sewer line Plumbline smoothie supervisor had her absolutely terrified and convinced her house was going to flood. After discussion with other family members it was agreed that it's best just to pay it for her peace of mind. Unethical sales tactics and scammer. Looking back I should've just had them leave and called another reputable company. That don't take advantage of the elderly. We had the sewer line replaced 8 to 10 years ago and her Littleton home. Now it's sleeved out to the sidewalk but the last 6 to 8 feet to the main line under the sidewalk was not sleeved. Totally unneeded and waste of money. read more

Called for an AC tune-up and was told I couldn't get an appointment slot for almost 2 months. Went ahead and agreed to schedule the appointment, since I didn't want to be at the bottom of an even longer waiting list should I choose to delay scheduling the appointment any further. Set my calendar reminder for a day prior to the appointment and decided to call and confirm we are still a go since I hadn't heard anything back, like an appointment reminder. No one picked up, so I left a message. Got a call back a little later, stating that they were aware of the appointment but were having some issue with their techs. Called back and once again, no answer, so I left a message. I never heard back from them and no one showed up for the appointment. Decided to go with another local company and they apologized for not having any availability for three days AND for having to assign a 2 hour window. I was blown away, they were apologizing for being far superior to Plumbline. I will be a loyal customer from now on to this new company (sorry, I won't mention the name because I don't want them to get flooded with customers and turn into another Plumbline). read more

Love their commercials lately telling how honest they are. Had a technician come out to check my heating and air. All the technician kept telling me is how my system wasn't up to code. After 10 min of him repeating this I went gave him a check and told him. I don't trust you but I do trust the city inspector who said they did a good job of installing my system. . All the technician was doing was setting me up to sell more services. When I call Plumbline and spoke with a manager. Wow I can see why my conversation with plumbline Mngr. today was so frustrating, After reading sooo many bad reviews I see a pattern of not knowing how to do business. My Carrier furnaces,(two) were installed by them in 2012. Had several problems over the years notably the inducer motors replaced 4 times. Now I'm having the same problem again. There tech came out last Friday and suspects a problem with the venting, not as it should be. This can create back pressure and cause inducer fan motors to fail. once he pointed that out, it made perfect sense. In fairness I can't say that is the problem without some testing in the system. But he didn't bother to do any such testing. He asked me to trust him to have a conversation with his Manager and would get back to me on Tuesday. I called them on Tuesday (record cold conditions) called again on Wednesday only to get a call back from some manager only to tell me i'm no longer covered by warranty. He wants to charge $600+ for repair, but will fix the venting problem for free. This should have been realized yrs ago. never mind venting repair will only cost them $20 in parts and 30 minutes to complete and they say it's a fair compromise. I'm going to call Carrier and see what they have to say about there Authorized dealer not properly installing there equipment. Maybe they can give me some satisfaction. in the meantime i will have this fixed at much lower cost and hopefully with Carriers advice figure out why this happens over and over again. Best to get recommendations from people you know. There are some good service people out there who are honest and will go the extra mile. These guys obviously have to advertise to attract fresh prey. I don't think they could survive on just word of mouth. The word is Zero Stars!! read more

We set up an appointment for Saturday due to our work schedule. Got a call from plumbline asking if we could do Friday do to the memorial day (Monday) weekend. Advised they could be there between 1-3p as we stressed we work and would need to make sure we are there to be able to put the dogs away and let them in. They advised they would call 30mins prior. Well here comes 230pm and still no call so we call them and was told our service guy would be there by 3pm. Here comes 315p and guess what, no call or no service guy. So, we call back and was told they told us between 1-5p. After correcting the lady on the phone and stating what we were told here comes the unfriendly tone of customer service all because they told us a time then tried to say that wasn't said. Now, if they would have told us 1-5p we would have said no and called another service clearly cause we both work. I'd advised to use another service that actually tells the truth and admit their mistake and make it right instead of blaming the people paying for their service. Needless to say we cancelled and went with another service. Word of advice as a business man myself running my own shop. If you are going to be or wanting to be closed over the holiday weekend don't list appointment times and dates on your website, confirm the date, change the date then try to blame it on the customer who's waiting at the specific time that was told to them. Terrible customer service and overall experience. Use at your own risk! But, say I didn't warn you! read more

Beware of the Bait and Switch Plumbline had done work for me before so they cold called me about a special to clean and inspect my furnace for $89. I'd been in my house for a while and figured I'd better do it. Of course, the technician said you have gas leaks and all these other problems worth $3,000! I decided to get a 2nd opinion. Wait, didn't the $89 I already paid cover a cleaning? TOTAL RIP-OFF. Stay away from these guys!! read more

They are good about calling to let you know they're coming. The Tech came to do a main line clean out just before the window of time given. Unfortunately he didn't finish the job until the supervisor, Jeff, had to come to do the "free" video inspection sales pitch for a major job of installing outside access to the main line. Jeff said he would be to the house at a specific time but was 45 minutes late. I asked him to come back the same day and Jeff set a 9:00 a.m. appointment and never showed up or called. The office finally called at 9:25 which was 25 minutes into the one hour the video check would take. Suffice it to say that an unfinished job combined with not being on time leaves a very bad impression of customer service. I'm going back to AAA Services. read more

I made an appointment with Plumbline with several things for them to fix and replace. They canceled my appointment 15 minutes before they supposed to arrive during the end of the window they gave me. And rescheduled for another time. I took the day off work for the next appointment. Which they canceled on me the afternoon of that day. Quite upset, again they asked if they could reschedule. This time my husband took a day off work for the appointment. Plumbline called during the window of when they should show up and cancelled yet again!! They offered no discount not that we would of rescheduled again. What a horrible way to run a business! Worst customer service. And a waste of our valuable time. read more

So, I called Plumbline Services for a few items I wanted done at my place. I was told they couldn't give me a quote over the phone even though they have flat-rate pricing. I understand if they run into something unexpected on the job and charge more. I was just asking for the baseline pricing. They said they would have to send out someone to take a look at replacing two tub drains and a faucet. Well, to my shock, I was going to be charged $1100 for this, and, to boot, I was supplying the tub drains and faucet!!! I paid the $49 fee for the plumber to show up and tell me how much it would be. So, you might notice a trend of not great reviews. Plumbline might say sorry on the reply but it's funny....after leaving at least 6 messages they have not called me back to discuss my issue. My issue is that I had a loud noise with my air conditioner and paid $49 for someone to come out and make an estimate. Without looking at the furnace, listening to the noise or triggering the air conditioner to blow I was told my options were an almost $600 job to clean the air conditioner which MAY keep it going until the end of summer if I'm lucky. Or I could meet with a design specialist to replace my old and dying unit. The average cost is $10-20,000. I decided to do neither but paid the $50 and went on with life. A few weeks later the noise was back and worse and my husband (who does not do hvac btw) took the front cover off the furnace. A part had blown apart and pieces were blowing around. We replaced the part for $69 and it now works like a dream. I have called to ask for my money back and complain and 4 days later still no reply. Horrible, horrible, horrible. I had an appointment scheduled to install a gas line to my kitchen. Made the appointment 3 weeks in advance. I was having a gas range installed and needed the gas line installed on a Friday, gas range coming the following Monday. I got a text from Plumbline at 9:30 Friday morning saying I needed to call and reschedule. I called, was on hold for 20 minutes, the whole time a recording kept saying how their customer service was so great. I'm told there is one called ahead of me. Finally the phone rings for an agent, then it tells me they are still busy and now there are two callers ahead of me. I left a message, no one called back after an hour, so I called. I got through and was told the appointment was cancelled due to weather. We got a dusting of snow that morning. I was told the next available was the following Tuesday. Worst service ever. We have furnace that is blowing only cold air. We scheduled an appointment with Plumbline, who could not get us on their schedule for several days. After advising the furnace was in the attic, the technician stated, he would look at how the furnace was situated, but doubted he would be able to access it. My wife advised the technician was a large man and it was obvious he now, did not want to do the job. The technician left without even trying to fix the problem or offer a different solution. I called Plumbline to reschedule and requested a smaller technician. The call taker advised the technician we had, was one of their Senior technicians, who advised the furnace was in an unsafe place. Do NOT use Plumbline!! We had them come evaluate our air conditioner because it was freezing over a couple times in the summer. They came in, said that repairs would cost over $1000 and with a unit over 10 years old they just recommend replacing the whole hvac system, costing on average $12,000. They never gave details of the problem at all, and just had their scheduler on speaker phone to schedule an appointment for a new system evaluation. They said they would email us the details of their evaluation, and 6 days later we still haven't received anything. So, we paid them $79 for absolutely nothing. We never got answers to why it was occasionally freezing over or how to fix it. We went with Golden West, they did a full evaluation, gave us several options and prices, and were very thorough and knowledgeable. They also informed us our unit isn't even 10 years old and never brought up buying a new hvac system, as our problem was not even close to being that bad! I will NEVER use Plumbline again. read more

Plumbline... are your employees on commission? Do they have sales quotas? Be honest now.

Rip Off! Our A/C unit broke down when we turned it on for the season. Seeing as I have no experience with A/C units I decided to call plumbline to take a look at it. With no experience and a lack of research I accepted the 1000.00 quote to replace the Condenser fan and the capacitor. After the technician came out, who I had NO problems with, he repaired the A/C in about an hour. After he had left I noticed that he left the price sheet for what he had paid for the parts. To my amazement the total cost for the parts were a little over $100.00! Now I'm no genius but even with a 100% mark-up of the parts the charged us $800.00 for labor - for 1 hour worth of work. Needless to say I was shocked and upset that I had been taken advantage of. I made a call to the dispatcher and said a manager would call me back to discuss the issue. As of yet I have yet to hear back. In conclusion- please stay away from this company. The gouge their customers without blinking an eye and take the money and run. I will never endorse this company or use it again. read more

I only put one star because I couldn't put zero. We called plumbline to do some basic wiring for my air conditioner and some wire clean up. I am a contractor's son and this was an easy fix. maybe 2 hours work tops. We paid the 69$ radio special to look at the AC unit. The guy came, saw my girlfriend and decided to take advantage of the situation. Obviously trying to rip us off, he quoted us 1200$ for rewiring and a brand new wireless thermostat. Nothing was wrong with the thermostat. Again, I just needed some wires cleaned up and properly connected. I got on the phone with the guy as I was at work and asked him to explain his reasoning and asked him his hourly. He would not give me an hourly rate and went by a book. He was completely not willing to negotiate and obviously could care less about his reasoning or was instructed to follow the book exactly. I told him specifically what i needed done and he refused to only do that work. This left a bad tast in our mouths. He came across as an opportunist looking to basically take advantage of those who "do not know" the costs of owning a home. He actually said this to my girlfriend. I got another quote from a licensed master electrician. The quote was 210$ and it took him an hour and a half. I would highly recommend not using these guys unless you want to pay 80% more for your services. Electrician companies like this that are larger seem to think its ok to take advantage of potential clients. Beware of any company like this that will not give you their hourly and only go by a book. Any professional home repair should always be willing to negotiate. He did however give us a new air filter (part of the 69$)..whoopy, those are 7$ at home depot. read more

DO NOT use this company! Plumber, Jeff, showed up and took advantage of my 75 year old father-in-law by charging him nearly $800 to extend a gas dryer line a few feet in a very accessible CONDO basement area. (this was a printed price in their "price book" which of course is THEIR concoction. This job required No welding - just tubing and standard connectors + 1 1/2hours of time. I called their main office to complain and was promised the Mgr (Matt) would get right back to me within 5 minutes. I was transferred to Matt's voicemail. It's been two days and still no return call to me...and no call to my father in law. I researched other highly YELP recommended plumbing companies and they said the job should have been between $250-$350 tops. (we videotaped the work on an iPad so they could actually see it) Again, DON'T LET THIS COMPANY SWINDLE YOU. All I can say is wow. I have never had such poor customer service in my entire life. I started by calling Plumbline to inquire if I can purchase a new thermostat. My son had shot our touch screen thermostat with a large nerf arrow and shattered it. I just wanted to know how much a new one would be. To my surprise they told me it was under warranty and asked when someone could come by and replace it. They scheduled something for that day and I thought wow that was easy. This is when the problem started. They called to cancel and reschedule our appointment we were a little put out but agreed to do so. The next day I only had a few minutes to meet with them as I was heading to my son's soccer game. This repair should have taken only a few minutes to switch the thermostat. Once I showed the tech the thermostat and told him what happened he immediately said it was not covered under warranty. Contrary to what I had been told by the agent on the phone. He proceeded to call the office to discuss. He came back in a few minutes later and told me if I wanted to pay $650 for a new thermostat he would be happy to help me. I told him no way would I pay that much for something I could buy used online for $89 and new for $199. So after going around a few times of why they cannot do what they said they would do. Later that day trying to work through this with the people back at the office. They called the person I originally talked to on the phone and he lied and said he did not tell me it was covered. When I told them that was a lie they said don't worry all of our calls are recorded and on Monday they can review and let me know what they find. I told them they need to do something before Monday as the forecast calls for lows in the high 30's. After spending a lot more time on the phone with nothing changing I gave up and waited until Monday. They told me to call Bob the general manager as he is the only one that can help me. I called and left a message for Bob. A few hours later I receive a call from Matthew the Client services manager at Plumbline. I was not prepared for the level of customer service I would receive from that point. I thought I had already hit a low at being called a liar. Matthew is a master as saying the rudest things in the most polite manner. He clearly had listened to the recording and found out that their employee had indeed told me it was covered and was going to take care of me. He proceeded to ask so I understand you would like to stick it to us and get a replacement thermostat for your house. I told him I did not see it that was that I was simply asking them to honor their word, but if he wanted to look at it that way he could do that. He said I understand that you can install this yourself. I said yes because the discussions I had had were I needed the same model so all I had to do was hook up the two wires on the back of the thermostat and I would be good to go. He was very prompt in delivering it to my house. I didn't even have a chance to talk to my wife and say they were coming. He knocked on the door my wife answered and he said "Here is the thermostat I talked to your husband about dropping off. I hope there no more nerf accidents." and walked off. I got home to see the part that he brought was not the right one. The model that I have and the one I thought he confirmed on the phone was TP-PAC01 he brought a used TC-PAC01. It being very close I would like to think it was a simple mistake. After going through what I have I can't help but think they went to the warehouse grabbed the first thing laying around and gave it too me. I thought this might not be an issue but the one I have has a control board down at the furnace that only works with the same model. So now what do I do? Call them back and continue to be treated like crap or do I hire a new company pay them probably a couple hundred dollars to re-wire it. I am appalled that a company would even leave me in this situation. The bottom line is do not do business with this company. I knew I was paying more than the other quotes and was told it was because of their superior service. If I could rate them with negative stars I would. read more
