I'm impressed with Plumbline's grasp of technology but their rates are gold plated. Called them because they have good reviews on Nextdoor. I can schedule online, get text messages to confirm appts, a link to a map that shows me where the tech is when they are in transit, and calls are promptly answered. However, rates are a mystery as nothing is revealed until they are on-site even if photos are provided. Example is we had a water leak at a property, sent photos of leak from the basement view under the bathroom, and agreed to a $49 service fee to troubleshoot the problem. When the tech arrived they said it was a bad wax ring at the toilet and wanted $355 to replace it, which included the $49 troubleshooting fee. Had to do it because we had to stop the leak. It's been a month and the repair has held with no issues, but the charge was crazy high. Took the plumber all of 20 minutes. Wondering if the techs are contractors who set their own rates and pay Plumbline a commission. Don't mind paying more for good service, but cannot seem to get a quote for issues that are straight forward, like replacing three wired smoke alarms on a property. read more

PlumbLine has been to my house more times than I can count (water heater, furnace, sump pump, toilets, air conditioner). I need a new air conditioner, and i know exactly what I want. I realize that some home owners may not know the difference between a 1300 SEER and a 1600 SEER, but I do. All I wanted was an estimate. I provided my address, the size and year of the house, the number of vents, and the answer I received was: "We don't show that we have been to this property before." They asked me what my phone number was...instead of giving me an estimate. If I wanted the price of a 2020 Subaru Outback, I would have ten offers from ten dealers in ten minutes. Trying to find out pricing for an air conditioner has been a nightmare. Good-bye, PlumbLine. read more

Furnace/AC install qoote was $4,000 more than the other 5 quotes we received. It was supposed to include a free furnace with AC purchase and a $450 credit for money already paid to replace parts that did not fix the initial furnace issue that lead to asking for a replacement estimate. Not cool. read more

Zach from Plumbline was epic. We had our supply line to our toilet break and flood our downstairs (uggh). Called Plumbline and Zack came out after hours to fix the toilet supply line. Very professional and quick. 5 stars, read more

Stay away, stay far far away! Called them out for a simple snaking due to having some water back up into our basment floor drain. Supposedly the tech couldn't get past a certain point so he called in their "emergency cameras". The guy came up the stairs shaking his head saying it's REALLY bad, come take a look at this... I followed him down the stairs and watched as he fished the camera through the line and he explained me about the shifting clay pipes, the bellys of water, and finally the "dead end" where we supposedly had no service to the city sewer. He went out to his car and subsequently handed me an $18,000 estimate that included ripping up my front yard. Over the past couple weeks we have obtain 2nd, 3rd, 4th opinions. And all of them have disagreed with their findings. We have some minor issues that can be dealt with by having regular maintenance (snakings every couple years). Eventually will will need to have some spot repairs, but not at the $18,000 price. On top of this we obsolutelty have service to the city sewer. My advice to everyone, stay away from the corporate plumbing business and go with the smaller family owned ones. My next step is a complaint to the BBB. read more

While the radio ad sounded great and the price they quoted was quite reasonable unfortunately like others I was unable to utilize their services. I set up an appointment on Wednesday for a Friday afternoon... took the time off work, then got the unpleasant surprise voice mail Friday right before the appointment that they were canceling. No offers to make things right... no apology...just too bad for me. Luckily we found a competitor with an opening on the weekend so we don't have to take yet more time off work and their quote is slightly cheaper. My advice...either keep looking for someone who will actually show up, or set up a backup with another company so you aren't left out to dry. read more

My washing machine drain was clogged. I called Plumbline to come unclog it. They told me it wasn't clogged and they needed to put a camera down there to see what was going on. Brandon Wilcox came out and looked with a camera. Low and behold he said my whole 12ft of cast iron pipe was disintegrated and they would need to jackhammer my basement floor and put new pipe down. He wanted to start in three day all I had to do was sign the contract and pay $20,000. I told him no thank you. He then emailed me telling me how bad it was to not fix it and quoted me $10,200 but they would finance it 9% till it was paid off. I called another plumber they tried very hard to find this Disintegration of my pipe but couldn't find it. Seems as though all it needed was a good power washing. Whatever you do don't use plumbline! read more

I really wanted to like Plumbline. I just needed a main sewer line to be cleaned and thought of their "93 or it's free campaign." We had just ran a camera down the line and it showed tree roots, so we wanted it cleaned. I called and scheduled an appointment for a week out (the soonest they could come). The canceled the appointment day of and rescheduled it for another week out. When they showed up for the 2nd appointment they told us that they didn't have the proper equipment to do the job and would have to send a specialist out a week later to run another camera down the line and "educate" us on our options. I called to complain and see why that couldn't just do the job. Their "consumer relations manager" called me back to tell me that they needed to re-camera the line and make sure we knew all of our options. I told him we just wanted our line cleaned out a month ago, I don't understand why this is so difficult. He told me that it sounds like I should call another company because they don't need my business. Okay, I understand and will call someone who does want to do the work we ask and isn't trying to up-sell and sign long service agreements. Ultimately, they wanted to charge us for another camera job, charge us for extra service and sell us on a long term service agreement. The "83 or it's free" is just a bait and switch to get them in the door and scare you into additional services. read more

Plumbline came recommended by coworkers. I was pleased when I called to schedule an estimate to relocate our a/c unit and they had a time the next day. Not so fast! They subsequently called TWICE and, due to scheduling errors and no tech availability they cancelled TWICE and now our next day appt is going to be 10 days later!! NOW (10 days later), the technician took over an hour to make an estimate and the MINIMUM quote for the job was over 4x other companies. Run away, hire someone else!! If I could give them zero stars, I would. read more

Found Plumbline Services on Team Dave Logan. Called them to fix a toilet that was wobbling. They scheduled me a week out and gave me a FOUR hour window, 1p - 5p. The day arrived and right before the 1p - 5p window, a lady from Plumbline Services called to tell me the tech could not come out that day and the next scheduled time was the following Monday. I asked if there was someone else who could do the work and she just said no. No reasons, no offer to help at all, just no. I cancelled the order and will not be doing business with these guys. I have no reason to even give them one star because they did not even show up to do the work when they said the would. read more

Don't let the nice commercial on t.v. fool you, I believe we did, but it won't happen again. A week ago, my Mom had contacted them because her furnace was not working. She understood there would be a trip charge of $49.00, and that they would assess what the problem was and make the necessary determination from there. She ended up with a $163.00 charge, which included a diagnostic tool charge which was used to assess the problem. Ultimately, the fix was to clean the batteries in the thermostat and tighten up a loose wire. Once this was done, the furnace once again worked. I had asked her if they checked the thermostat first, she replied "no", they went to the furnace with whatever tool he had. So my thought is that had he went to the thermostat first, he could have cleaned the batteries, tightened the wire, and check if worked. And this being the resolution, he would have simply been on his way, so I believe the $163.00 was added on there as part of their tactic, so beware. 09/24 [Thur]: I called immediately and asked to speak with someone in charge, just to bring these matters to their attention. They said that someone will call you back immediately, but they never did. 09/25 [Fri]: I called again in the morning, they told me the manager was in a meeting and that they will have him contact me as soon as he is out. I left my name and number; however, he never called. 09/25 [Fri]: I called again in the afternoon and asked for the manager, and they were surprised he didn't call. They said that another person named Matt would give you a call back probably Monday, if not Tuesday. 09/25 [Mon]: No call 09/26 [Tue]: No call - I finally called at the end of the day, telling them that I doubt anyone will call because they don't want to deal with an unsatisfied customer. Roughly 20 minutes later, Matt called. Matt was very stern and did not want to listen to the customer. He said that if my Mom saw him go directly to the furnace that she was mistaken and must have been seeing things. He began to detail a list of activities that this gentleman did and stated several times that he was as there for a total of 1 hour and 43 minutes so he obviously did quite a bit of work there. He repeatedly told me this. I contacted my Mom and she has the ring doorbell with video evidence that this gentleman showed up at 3:30pm and left at 4:33, which is slightly above an hour. So if he wrote down 1 hr and 43 minutes, then I think Matt needs to have a better understanding of what his guys are doing and start listening to the customers. So beware of their upcharge tactics. I know that we will never utilize their services again. read more

I won't go as far as to say KayGee Jackson, Excavation Project Supervisor for Plumbline was trying to scam us, but I will say he was not looking out for our best interest. 4/27/2023, we had Plumbline services come to our home to clean out our main sewer line because it was draining very slowly and backing up through the floor drain.  We have used them several times over the years with no problems. This time however, before the technician even attempted to clear the line, he told us he needed to have his supervisor come out.  The supervisor KayGee said he needed to run a scope through the line, but he was unable to get through. (now remember they hadn't cleared the clog so of course he couldn't get the camera through the line). Furthermore, he told us they needed to replace a 6 ft section of the sewer line at a cost of $8200+ and that he could have an emergency crew at our home the following morning or Monday at the latest. He also said they wouldn't even attempt a clean out because it could cause more damage. VERY HIGH PRESSURE to try to get us to agree to the repair. We told him no, we needed to get a second opinion from another plumber.  We called Garvin's Sewers Service & scheduled an appointment for Monday 05/01/2023.   Saturday the slow drain went to no drain so I decided I couldn't wait for Monday.  I ended up renting a sewer auger and my wife and I cleared the line.   We kept the Monday appointment with Nick from Garvin's. He scoped the line and said it was clear except for a few small hanging roots.   When we asked if he should run another auger through, he said he could, but it would just be a waste of our money. Nick at Garvin's was great and we will have him out again for preventative cleaning. Nick sent us the video of the scoping, which we forwarded to my brother, a home inspector out of state, & he agreed-there was no brake in sewer line needing replacement. read more

After taking time off of work and waiting for a couple hours within the 4 hour window, they called to tell me they would not make the appointment. Project was needed to be done according to schedule. Had a major break behind my kitchen sink. My plumber had a medical emergency, apparently, on the day of service. Instead of telling me he wasn't coming and scheduling with someone else, they lied to me all day long (4 times) saying he was on his way. I guess they thought I was too dumb to realize that he wasn't really on his way when he didn't show up for 7 seven hours. When I lodged a complaint at the end of the day, the manager never got back to me. They left me stuck all weekend with no sink or dishwasher. Also don't buy in to their $99 club, most likely you will never see your money again. read more

I used to really big a huge fan of Plumbline until recently. Since I own a condo in CO, and live in UT, I wanted a company that could do both electrical and plumbing. They sold me a service contract for $200 yr which waives any trip charges, so I thought that was a great deal until I see what they are still charging. Here are my issues: -They are extremely busy and if you need someone the same day or following for service, good luck. -They charged me $240 to replace a simple switch on my furnace - easy and quick job for a electrician but $240?!?! -My tenant had complained about a leaking pipe which needed to be tightened ($109) - OK - this was maybe not that outrageous -They had to replace a tub faucet because the inside had crystalized and no longer goes up and down to drain ($370, no c'mon really). I understand that being a plumber is a very lucrative business but I feel dooped and I am currently looking for a better, more reasonable company for my plumbing and electrical needs. I had even recommended them to others which now I won't. I will say their staff is very professional though in my experiences. read more

We had an issue with a our humidifier back in October and called Plumbline to fix the issue. While looking at the humidifier, the technician also inspected the furnace and found a crack in the heat exchanger. The tech told us the furnace needed to be replaced. We called the insurance company to file a claim which was eventually denied. We contacted another highly rated company to get a second opinion to appeal the insurance company claim. This second company said they did not find a crack in the heat exchanger. A few days later, the furnace stopped functioning and we smelled gas. This time, the insurance company sent out their tech and replaced the igniter. Furnace working again. I asked this third tech (30 years experience) to look for a crack in the heat exchanger and he also did not find one. Needless to say we were furious that two techs did not find a crack. We called Plumbline again to report what we learned. The President, Bob Logan and his Chief Tech came to our place and showed us within 5 minutes where the crack was that the other two techs missed! We were embarrassed but feel we finally got to the bottom of the issue. It is clear that they are well trained and trying to do the right thing. Thank you to Plumbline for being an ethical and quality HVAC company. read more

I needed a new hot water heater and Plumbline sent Joe L to my house for the install. Joe was on-time, extremely knowledgeable, and very professional. I was home for the install and the experience felt natural, and I learned a few things while I was at it. I've had installers like Home Depot's contractor do work on other homes before. Yes, Plumbline costs more but like everything else in this world, you get what you pay for (at least usually). If you want barely soldered pipes or a sloppy but somewhat tolerable job, yes Home Depot's installer (Delta Mechanical in CO I believe) can do it cheaper. But if you want it done right, done professionally, and done to code the first time - call Plumbline. I've had jobs done by Home Depot before where they've had to come out twice after the original install to fix things. The time and hassle is better spent on something else. read more

Very disappointing. Scheduled furnace and a/c annual maintenance twice and twice disappointed. The first time, I waited all day. Waited ALL DAY! Called in when no one showed up and was told the technician had called and I did not answer so he didnt come out. They NEVER called to reschedule. Why I gave them another chance is beyond me. I guess its because their commercials are so convincing and during COVID everybody deserves a second chance. Second time, I booked online. Received a confirmation email. But come today, I have waited HALF THE DAY and finally I called, put on hold for 10 minutes. Kept being told I was moving ahead in the que but eventually asked me to leave my number for a call back. I did leave my number twice - NEVER a call back. Continued trying to call in. When I finally got through to a person, she said the jobs they were on were going to take all day-could we reschedule. NO! Don't think so! Terrible customer service. I'm not sure anyone actually works there. read more

WOW is this place insanely priced. Asked them to come out for a few small jobs, maybe an hour's labor, maybe 90 minutes. They wanted $1,200 because they use a flat-rate booklet that priced each little thing at like $300-700 per job. The $1,200 was actually his DISCOUNT he could give me as a nicety. Normal price was around $2k. For an hour's work. And not including parts. I called another plumber and it was $75/hour plus parts. I was out the door at around $190 because it ended up taking about 90 minutes as I expected. And they charge you a $40 trip charge just to tell you their crazy prices. Why bother with this nonsense? Call a plumber and get a price before you have a trip charge. If they won't give you a general rough guestimate, you can be sure you're either wasting $40 or will be cracking open that wallet with a jack. read more

When our walk-out basement randomly flooded, we did tons of research. I was literally feeling nauseous about making a call to any company after reading the online reviews. I called Plumbline after seeing their $99 special; I hoped they would honor it even if it turned out to be our main sewer line. The first call was to an appointment maker; she was professional and helpful. They fit us in the same day. The professional who showed up - Amone - was professional, respectful and kind. After testing various faucets and listening to drains, he cleaned the kitchen line. Then he gave us a 90-day warranty which would include a free video assessment if another backup occurred. For what it's worth, it's been a little more than two weeks, and there has been no more flooding. On top of that, the $99 offer was honored. I am no longer sick over the reviews I've seen posted. If I ever need drain care again, I would probably request the same service professional by name just to ease my mind. But I would absolutely call Plumbline. Great service and honest assessments as best as I could tell! read more

Ben did a good job explaining all the services he was providing/offering. Called us when they were on their way. Made sure his feet were covered when walking through our home. Very happy with the service and professionalism, and it was nice that they were available same-day on Sunday for an emergency fix that we couldn't wait any longer to take care of, but $900 for a replacement of 2 supply lines and 1 ball valve on an already positioned, ready & waiting hot-water heater is extreme. Took him a total of about 2 hours and probably around $50.00 of parts if you paid retail (which of course they don't) Just be aware these guys are the premium, height-of-convenience at a very premium price. If you are in desperate need of a plumber same-day and are willing to pay an arm and a leg for it they are a good option, but if you can wait and shop around, do it. read more

Should have read the reviews. Tricked into paying for a $440 "diagnostic " service, when the electrician ended up after 15 minutes telling me the power company had to fix, and the Excel people came and fixed for free. The service guy actually came off $100 because he felt a bit sorry for me. Maybe he has a conscience. The office people we called were nice, but no one called us back with the authority to either say we'll cut your bill some more.....or tell us to take it like a man. 5 Stars!! - First Service Review - 2014 - After calling other services for some emergency work, decided on Plumbline to do a water heater replacement, in a crawl space, in an emergency, at reasonable prices. Tough job, had to dig out crawl space to fit new water heater. Did a good job, tech was nice guy, real happy with overall service. 3 Stars - Second Service 2015 - Initial service call was cancelled while waiting for tech, Plumbline called during time slot given. Time off work, loss of pay - frustrating! Decided to reschedule given positive first experience. Second service call, nice guy, did work promptly - Checking valve on city water inlet in crawl space. Adjusted small leak, and contacted city for me. City ended up doing fix. Had to pay call fee. 3 stars due to cancellation of first call at last second. 1 star - called 2016 for sink repair, took time off of work, hung out for 2 hour service window, at end of time, Plumbline called to cancel service and reschedule another day - couldn't get tech or others out that day. Even Comcast doesn't do that!! They apparently don't prioritize/value customers time. Not rescheduling with Plumbline. 5 stars + 3 stars + 1 star = ave (3 star review. ) Good luck. read more

Extremely poor service. Had to pay a fee for them to come for 5 minutes and not even bother to get close to the issue and study to find a solution. I was told I would need to buy completely new outside overhead heaters.
