Bill and Chris were nothing short of EXCELLENT! Top notch service, personable, professional and all one would want or expect from a top end, quality company. I particularly, really appreciated the work they completed...outstanding custom work on rerouting ABS kitchen piping & other related service! They made quick work of it, patiently entertained my numerous questions, offered great advice & wisdom prior to & throughout the install. Ashley & Natalie in the office were great too...so the technicians & office staff were helpful & wonderful. I highly recommend them all and their work & recommend them. Now, in full disclosure...I share the expense concerns of several other reviewers. All of the things they (Plumbline) say about expense are true. They are a top tier, large plumbing & services company. They have more overhead & their prices are very high but comparable to the other larger companies. Slightly lower than a few but higher than many. The adage, "you get what you pay for" definitely applies here. Quality work & great service...IMHO, they could literally dominate the entire plumbing/services business with a more reasonable & fair labor/overhead/profit margin. That is a corporate issue that needs to be addressed, particularly in these tough financial, inflationary times. We're not in extravagance indulging times any longer. They do have positive, nice payment assistance plans (12 month zero percent plans, for example but those still have to be paid). I was prepared to pay for $5,000 of added quality-of-life, very nice quality equipment during/added to this install & was prepared for an additional $2,500 to $3,500 in labor, overhead, applicable permit & profit (LOAP) expense but it morphed (with necessary, basic electrical work added) from the $8,000 reasonable range for equipment & LOAP to the over $11,400 range & that was around $3,500 more than what I considered a generous and fair/reasonable amount...all just due to LOAP. In our case, that pushed it into the "just too much" range & we had to cancel the "extras" work...which in turn cost Plumbline $9,400 in goods, installation & services. Which, I must add, they very pleasantly & professionally cancelled...thank you. I'm still extremely interested in having such a fine group of techs deliver & install these excellent features for us but a $6,000 plus, add-on end charge for a $2,400 water heater, $2,200 plus for an $1,100 recirculation system, similar mark-up for a water filtration system, etc...all of which, upon my personal research, are top end, outstanding systems...I still want to get but it would just be prudent to wait on since one can't eat a filtration system or drive a water heater to work...which take priority these days...lol! Yes, we have the benefit of having a solid, functioning, existing water heater & this would've just been a marvelous upgrade, so that factors into it for us. Some may not face it with an option. Hey, in the end, Plumbline was fantastic for us with the LOAP being THE ONLY limiting factor. IMHO, it is just TOO high. I don't begrudge any business a solid, even a little high labor price for their outstanding service, some overhead coverage, price for acquiring permit(s) & a fair profit...that's business. My idea of that & some companies ideas just differ on occasion...that's ok. They can charge what they feel is right, necessary or called for & I can avoid it if I deem it is excessive...all good. Love the techs, the staff & the remarkable result. You won't go wrong with them...just figure to pay twice what the unit(s) you're considering actually cost & maybe a smidge more or less & there you go. It just comes down to the 50% added "costs". If money is no object, these folks are an outstanding choice & they'll get the job done! read more

Called Plumbline because I thought a larger company would be more reputable.....I am sorry to say wrong! I was having water pressure issues in my entire house. If the laundry was running and I turned on the sink, there was no pressure......if I was in the shower and someone flushed the toilet....no pressure. The technician showed up an hour after the appointment window......I had to call them to find out that they were running behind. When he showed up and I explained the problem, he went out to the street to check the PSI. When he returned we went to my basement and looked at everything and he said that I needed a new regulator. At the same time he asked me about the filtration system that was next to the other piping. He said that I should look into upgrading that and continued to my mechanical room to look at my water heater. He said it had a small leak and that it was old (1999) and that I should have it replaced. The technician seemed very knowledgeable. The quote: $780 for the regulator $1200-$4500 for the filter system (depending on level) $2400 for the water heater and "bringing it up to code" He pulled out their pricing sheet and made it all seem so legitimate. Because the cost was so much more than I had expected, I scheduled an appointment for him to come back so that I could have some time to get a second opinion. Turns out that the regulatory was NOT the problem, it was just a clogged filter!! The plumber that my brother recommended came out and asked me why I thought I needed a new regulator, since that would mean the water would be stronger not weaker. He said the regulator was fine and then went on to open up the filter system and find the clogged filter......a $25 fix plus the trip charge of $75. The new plumber also took a look at the water heater, said it definitely could be replaced but "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". His quote to replace it was $1100 with even more finish out then was offered by Plumbline. Price difference on the low side.....$2800. WOW.....WOW....WOW I am amazed that they are such a large company and this is how they run their business! You cannot blame the majority of this on the technician.......pricing comes from the top, as well as training. At least I found an honest plumber....still looking for an honest HVAC company. read more

After doing research, I selected Plumbline Services to address what I thought was a clogged drain. Upon inspection, they detected that it was actually the sump pump or sewage ejector system. I made an appointment for a plumber to come four days later (earliest appointment). When I met the service technician, he told me that the pump was no longer working and that the pump had to be replaced. When I asked how much it would be I was told $899 approximately. The technician then looked at his tablet and said, "wait a second - $899 is for a 1 1/2" pump and you need a 2" pump which is approximately $2200." I was shocked and asked why it was so much and was told that's the price for the bigger pump which is what you need when you have a basement in the bathroom (he told me a 1 1/2" only is recommended for an overflow drain in a basement). I asked a few more questions but didn't have a choice as I needed the bathroom to work again after it not working for six days. The replacement took approximately two hours. When I received my invoice it had one line for "replace sewage ejector pump - 2 inch." I then enquired with the service manager, Glenn, to find out what the specific model is that was installed. He told me the model and when I researched the model it costs $315 - $425 retail to purchase. I was shocked at where the extra cost was coming from and sent another email. He responded that their prices are flat rate and the factors included are material plus mark-up, labor, overhead, and hazard of working with raw sewage and waste. I then called several other companies and friends that have replaced sewage ejectors and learned that the cost should be somewhere between $600-$1400. I then emailed Glenn again which he did not respond to. So I called and left him a message. He did not respond. Then I called the main number and told the person that answered my situation and that I wanted to speak to a manager. She said I needed to talk to Matt S. and he was not in so she left him a message. He never called back. I am so disappointed and wish I would have researched other companies and told them not to install the pump... read more

We have used Plumbline since we moved into our home eight years ago. We have always relied on Plumbline and have needed them on multiple occasions! The first time we called them they came out to our house when our basement flooded. We had been told by another plumbing service company that we would need to drill through our cement basement wall to fix the leak and that it would cost us a small fortune. When Plumbline came out the service man told us it was an easy fix. He told us what we needed to buy at a hardware store. He was very thorough. The next day we fixed the leak and at first we were very skeptical. We checked our basement everyday for months to make sure we did not have another mess to clean up. Plumbline also told us that they could clean up the water in our basement through a sub-contractor but explained to us how to do it ourselves in order to save us money. We were not pressured in any way to use the service they offered. We chose to do it ourselves and ended up saving $1,000.00. I am happy to say that we have not had another leak since and we are beyond thankful for the money Plumbline saved us by being honest! This was the first encounter we had with Plumbline and have called them for all our plumbing needs ever since. We have had clogged drains (the kind Drano does not fix) and leaky pipes Plumbline has helped us with. The service men are always knowledgeable and extremely nice. We have all had service men that don't explain what they are doing and not only are they unfriendly some of them are down right unprofessional. I can say this is absolutely not the case with the employees at Plumbline. They are professional, clean, courteous, polite, extremely friendly, honest, and explain everything they are doing before and after the work is completed. We have always used Plumbline and will continue to in the future. We have not had one bad experience with them ever! They go above and beyond what is expected of them when it comes to customer service and quality of work. read more

I selected Plumbline Services as one of the HVAC companies to provide me with an estimate for a fairly large job: we needed to replace our furnace, AC Unit, and water heater. We had gotten two other estimates from reputable companies, but the warranties didn't cover labor and there were little things that left me uneasy with exactly what they meant by "it's the right size for your vents" and so on. On a whim, I called Plumbline and they scheduled me for a free consultation within two hours. I was blown away by Jeff Dreher's professionalism and friendliness. He took more measurements than anyone else had, and explained what he was doing and why. He gave me many choices, and we spoke extensively as to the options available. I asked many, many questions about the company, the employees, the business practices and the warranties. He responded readily, and even had a presentation that answered many of my questions before I asked them. We decided on the units we wanted, and within two days, they were at our home, removing the old pieces and replacing new ones. Let me tell you about the Plumbline Dream Team: Bobby Folks, Danny Folks, and Austin Fox are the HVAC crew that will get the job done cheerfully an efficiently. They met every challenge with a can-do attitude, to make things happen. The electrician, Ryan Oakes, had no problem overcoming the obstacles in his way to make sure our electrical system was up to code and safe. He took the time to explain things in detail, which was appreciated. David Phillips worked on the plumbing, and replaced our beast of a water heater with what appeared to be the greatest of ease. He also took the time to explain things we needed to be aware of with our water heater and the pipes. We are very, very pleased with the results. The entire team was incredibly conscientious and kind. We are happy to have Plumbline as our service providers for all of our HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical needs for the future! read more

Highest Pricing on Planet Earth. I am posting this because I am beyond miffed about their pricing. It is so excessive that "gauging" is putting their pricing lightly. I think the correct phrase is "Rip-Off Every Homeowner You Possibly Can Pricing". Here is why. I wanted to like Plumbline, I really did. I used them several times in the past since we moved to denver 8 years ago for furnace issues and a small plumbing issue. Their pricing has always been a little on the hi-side but I wanted a higher brand name that I could trust. Well, now their pricing has seen a triple increase since the last time we used them. No consideration for past, loyal customers, just hi pricing. I went with a big brand name because I did not want some no-name ghetto plumber doing work in my house. But, as it turns out if you source a good reputable plumber from someone you know, then you are far better off using them and not Plumbline. Plumblines pricing was literally 300% higher then the 2 other quotes I got, both from reputable plumbers who were not some monster brand name business like plumbline. This clearly falls into their overhead being so hi to pay for their fleet of trucks, advertising, etc. As an example, I had 3 small issues in my house that needed fixing. Plumbline's pricing was $1,517.00 !! I almost passed out!! I was expecting maybe 400 bucks or so for everything. I talked to a few friends who had solid long term relationships with other plumbers (who are smaller) and their pricing was 389.00, and the other quoted 425. Both of these plumbers have outstanding reputation on all the consumer advocacy sites as well as the services that verify good companies, so they are solid. Again, plumbline was $1,517.00. Shame on you Plumbline, you are priced so hi that is not only unreasonable, but it is offensive! read more

These guys are legit. We have had a floor drain at our business that has been slow/stopped for a few years. Had a small time plumber take a stab at it and it didn't really work, but I can't fault him for trying. Last week, I figured I'd get one of the big companies out to clear the blockage. I called RotoRooter and they would not give me any pricing over the phone. When the RR tech showed up he hit me with $485 to start or an option to break concrete at $3200 and up. I sent him on his way and told them that if they'd have given those prices over the phone I wouldn't have wasted their time. Anyway, another plumbing company gave me about the same price. I called Plumbline and scheduled an appointment with the knowledge it could be expensive, but remaining hopeful they had a reasonable high pressure jetting prices. I was called by the service manager that morning to answer a few question for me and he first off asked the size of the drain. When I told him, he said they'd recommend the mini-jetter, not the tow behind. That was good news and something the other companies simply never mentioned as an option. Turns out, when Dominick was here, he said that type of drain/blockage could be done with one of their snakes (which they had higher quality equipment than the other companies). He was able to clear any and all blockage. By the end of things... it was $99. The other companies had me believing I had a real emergency and wanted so much more money. I felt the tech was honest as well as the service manager. It would be nice if all companies operated in this manner. I would recommend Plumbline over the other larger companies or anyone advertising on craigslist. read more

I would love to review this company.... for the folks who got service - sounds like they do a good job. We made an appointment 6 weeks ago... that was the soonest they could fit us in. Several days before the appointment finally arriving we received a reminder email about the appt. The email simply verified our date/time and said if we had changed our plans and needed to change our date to get in touch with them. We waited so long - did not want to change our date/time. My husband took the afternoon off from work to be here, we moved things around in the basement to give the technician better access to the furnace and otherwise prepared for the visit. We did not hear the phone ring approximately 30-45 minutes before our appt time. We heard it ring about 20 min. before our appointed time and got to the phone just in time to get a voice mail that said our visit was cancelled due to us not answering the phone during the hour preceding the appt. No one we talked to previously on the phone, nor in the reminder email said anything about needing to answer or respond to a last minute call in order to keep our appt. We then called them right back - still 20 min. before our scheduled time and they said too late for that day & they could reschedule for some other day. We are extremely displeased and unhappy and we still have a furnace that needs attention. Thanks Plumbline for ruining our day. Very unpleasant experience. Apparently our time was not valuable enough for Plumbline to keep a long awaited appointment. Terrible customer service to say the least. read more

The previous owners of our home redid the basement and when the replumbed everything, they ran it along the outside walls of the house. This caused our pipes to freeze up at least three times last winter. Bob Frank had come out each time to help us with the valves that popped and since this problem would continue, Bob suggested a new plan to run the lines under the floor in the crawl space. He was incredibly detailed in explaining everything that he was going to do to make sure I understood what was going to happen. I really appreciated this since I have no idea about plumbing stuff! It is great to have the same plumber come out to help us because he knows all of the issues that we have had. He came out and did an incredible job with replumbing the basement, and was pretty accurate on his guesses as to where he would need to cut into the walls/ceilings which really minimalized the amount of patch work I will have to do. I think we could have probably had the work done cheaper, but I felt way more confident using someone that knew the history of the problem and someone I was comfortable with. Will be using them for any and all plumbing problems or improvements we may do in the future. I also appreciated the fact that he really was doing his best to come up with the most realistic and affordable solution for us. He has never tried to upsell anything. I just wish they would add irrigation work to their repretoire so I could use them for that stuff as well. Will be recommending them to any friends in the area with plumbing issues. read more

We've been using Plumbline Services for the last 5 years or so, in 2 different homes. They've done a number of electrical, plumbing, & boiler services for us over the years. What I like best is their professionalism. They are always quick to respond, usually the same day. Their technicians wear protective footies over their street shoes in your home, & are conscientious about cleaning up after themselves. (As opposed to one independent plumber we used who tracked mud through 2 levels of our house, & made us wait 2 days when we had a leaky outdoor faucet. Who has the time or patience for that, even if it's cheaper?) They are prompt & professional, but also friendly. They are generally pricier, but I am willing to pay more for same-day, clean, professional service (who has time to wait during an emergency?). We are in their preferred-member program, which saves us a lot of money (no trip charges, & better pricing- they work with us on pricing, since we are regular customers). I also like that they have a pricing book, so you can see upfront what they charge. No made-up pricing structures. Yes, if you have a large/non-emergency job, it is in your best interest to get several bids. But if you want quality work when life throws backed-up drains, heating emergencies, etc., your way, these guys are definitely the ones to call. read more

We live in a time where good service companies are few and far between. I've already had a few companies come out. The professionalism of Plumbline services is UNMATCHED. Brendan came by first. He couldn't clear my lines. He waited in his truck to hear back from a supervisor. Then he tried to clear the lines again. He then connected me with a supervisor who would be by later to get video of my drains. Patrick was onsite in less than 3 hours (on a Saturday!). He used a camera and discovered that my bathroom drain pipe was deteriorating. That's horrible news, sure. Want to guess what I was charged for the failed drain clearing and video of my drains? Nothing. Today, Garrett and another person arrived. They're currently accessing my bathroom drains through the adjoining bedroom. They let me know it would be a minimum $208 charge for them to start cutting drywall and further diagnose the problem. Considering I would have already paid double that with competitors, that's beyond reasonable. Assuming the rest of my experience is close to par of the past, I'll never use another plumbing company. UPDATE: They followed through with the same professionalism while replacing some drains in the house. Aside from the tub (no issue though) , they left everything cleaner than how the found it.
