After a "FREE" visit, the Tech quoted $1400 to fix a simple pump replacement that will take 30-45 minutes on our tankless water heater (according to Navien Tech Line and other over-phone quotes). Others have quoted over the phone $250-$450 (but they can't get to it until late next week at the earliest). The water heater itself would be $1500 to replace! There is no way this job was even 1/3 of $1400! He also said he DOES NOT do diagnostic for free; and that is $365 (later put in his estimate $233). So, Plumbline mis-represented that as well -- since I literally have it documented from their rep via text that they will do the diagnostic for free. All of that is highway robbery. They also wasted our workday by coming out 4 hours later than the END of the originally scheduled window of time (they did call to say they are running late). We should bill THEM for that time staying home ALL day on a workday -- instead of the planned half day. WE DO NOT recommend these guys. Seems like they are just another company that hopes folks accept an outrageous estimate because they are already in your home after accepting a $49 or Free estimate. I signed up for a heat pump estimate through Costco and they quoted a outrageously high price. The reason? It is called "rebate padding". They are basically doubling their prices because they want to keep all the huge rebates for themselves instead of giving the discounts to the customers, as is the intention of the big rebates. I would not recommend this company, we had a leak in our kitchen and we couldn't find it so we had a plumbing technician come out to take a look which they charged me $100 to take a look. They immediately said that it was a drain line under neath the slab which they assumed and starting letting us know prices for excavating. Then I asked why don't we put a camera down there before we go cutting tile and breaking concrete they said it would be 305$ for the camera so I let them know it was fine then they said they needed to add a 2' clean out as well if I wanted to put a camera which I told them we already had one and he advised me the one already in the home wouldn't work. So they kept adding up all of these things up Leo charged for the hole in the wall they were about to create which did not include dry wall repair but sure enough they knew someone they could come by and fix it. So come to find out nothing was wrong with my drain system so I don't know why they went straight into excavating.this all costed me $796.So he had some other technician come by the next few days to tell me he knew what the issue was the expansion pipe was broken so he showed me and let me know this what it was he told me to feel it because it was damp but I let him know it wasn't and he advised me that the fitting came undone he would have to add a knew one of course it wasn't going to cost more. This was all overwhelming because we were trying to get this problem fixed so we payed it. Weeks later come to find out it was leaking again so I took a look come to find out one of my units drain pipes weren't correctly aimed at the drainage after fixing that small issue that didn't cost me anything everything worked out great. This was a nightmare I recommend asking questions and get multiple quotes and opinions from plumbers. read more

Update: of course you claim you couldn't find my account. Seems like your boiler plate response to every bad review. There's no need to reach out to your manager, again, they already know. This review and more details of how terrible your service is, was already forwarded to them when I cancelled the VIP plan. Because they so graciously asked why I was cancelling. They also claimed they take this matter seriously, but it seems like a pattern you're not willing to actually address. Original: I had them come out to give me an estimate for installing a sink, that involved running drain lines and water lines, and installing a toilet. I also had their HVAC come out to give an estimate on installing a whole home humidifier. The techs seem great and knowledgeable, but they're overpriced and never respond. I called and emailed because I had questions about my plumbing estimate, they never responded, said they'd have the tech reach out and they never did. 3 weeks later they called to schedule the plumbing service. I told them I hired someone else because they never responded. Forgot to mention that they never sent the HVAC estimate, and never responded when I called and asked for it. Their dispatch office just passes questions off, saying the techs are the only ones that can help, but the techs never call back. Service is terrible and I was roped into their VIP plan, but they certainly don't offer even basic customer service to their VIP members. Now I have to cancel the VIP plan, so they don't keep charging me monthly, just so they can ignore me. read more

Our 3-year old AC unit has stopped working repeatedly this summer, despite 5 different visits from Plumbline techs who assure us they've resolved the problem, until it stops working again a few days later. We pay a "VIP" monthly fee, and it's a complete scam. They owe us a replacement unit and are violating our warranty by not giving us one. I would never recommend this company to anyone. read more

I tried to fix a faucet cartridge on my own, it broke off in the pipe. Which I researched and is a common problem. My go to plumber was not available so I called Plumbline. The technician came out. He was not friendly from the get go. He looked at the repair and quoted $680. This is something that has been fixed on my other showers and was less than $300. I told him how ridiculous that was and he walked out of my house without another word. He has been to my home before for previous work and was always nice and professional. Ended up calling my go to plumber back, they came within the hour. Although the break was a mess, he fixed it within a couple of minutes and only charged $285!! Plumbline is a complete ripoff!! However, when the tech left he forgot to turn the water back on and we ran the dishwasher - which didnt work because we had to turn the water back on! Thankfully it didnt burn up the dishwasher. We returned home after being away for a few days to find that a secondary line from the kitchen sink/washing machine was clogged. Went to the Tom Martino Referral List (first mistake) and called Plumbline and they came out the next day. The trainee tried snaking the pipe through the kitchen drain. They could go out 75 feet to the main but yet it was still clogged. The trainer also tried to clear the line and went out 75 ft and said it was still clogged. Time for the cameraman who said they needed to rip up the concrete in the basement to see what's going on in the cast iron pipe. 4 .5 feet for $5950, with the expectation it could be more depending on what they find. Also took asbestos sample of two linoleum tiles, one laid in 1995 and the other in 2012. He said he was required by the state of Colorado to do so. My research shows that it was such a small area (4 square feet) that it was not required. Also he did not contain the samples, so if asbestos was involved he would have contaminated my home and carpet. The whole thing did not sit well with me. I contacted AAA Plumbing (second mistake)and had them come out. That lazy person didn't bother to even try to get it unclogged but said he would replace 15 ft of the secondary line for $9,000. Called my brother-in-law who is a master plumber in Wyoming to get his opinion. He said he would come down and see what was going on. He snaked the line from the washing machine not from the pipe upstairs and had our draining unclogged within a few minutes! We did not need these unnecessary repairs that they were trying to sell us! Interesting fact. I have shared this with many people and many have said they also had been ripped off by Plumbline. I only gave them a one because I had to. I would never recommend this company! They sent a technician out to clear the main line in my home. He proceeded to remove the toilet and flood sewage water throughout the upstairs bathroom which leaked into my kitchen. My master bathroom is now torn apart, and I have holes in my kitchen ceiling. lines senior manager, said that their insurance would take care of it and they would pay for everything. However, now they want me to file a claim with my insurance company first which as we all damage my homeowners insurance all due to their fault and inexperienced service provider. The technician never even left an invoice nor a photo of what he may have done besides my 's destruction! Very unresponsive and terrible customer service. I had Plumbline out on a Saturday in July when my gas tank water heater died. The person that arrived had never even heard of an electric tankless water heater before and kept trying to talk me into buying the replacement gas heater in the back of his truck. When I finally told him that was never going to be an option he folded and said he would send me some quotes on Monday. He also assured me that if none of the options he quoted were what I would like, that I could purchase my own and they would install it for me. On the following Monday, I got a call from a plumber that was heading to my house, and I was unsure why, so dispatch called me and I explained to them everything that transpired on Saturday, they assured me they would get the quotes out to me by EOD, which to their credit they did. None of the quotes were even close to what I was asking for, so I decided to do some homework and purchase my own that they would install as the guy told me. Once I had the new heater, I called them up and they sent their electricians out who looked at my system and told me I did not have enough power to run this. I asked what it would take, they told me and then after wasting my time for the day... they turned around and stated that they would not be able to work on my house because I have a solar array and (even though all that is needed is to shutoff the solar disconnect) their people arent trained to work on solar... to this, I say get with the damned program because soon you arent gonna be in business if you refuse to work on panels where the house has solar! So again I am out of luck. 4 months later and I have an electrician that isn't afraid of flipping the switch on a disconnect, followed by a service upgrade, and a new panel with enough power to run the heater. All I need is the heater hooked up so that the electrician can run the cabling to it. So I call Plumbline for third and FINAL time to come out and get the rest of everything done and after initially coming out at only $800 less than any of the quotes I received for equipment AND labor (mind you I already have the equipment now) than what they had previously said they could do it for (in July), they come back in and say they are refusing to do it. Basically from what I can tell Plumbline wants extremely easy jobs that they can rip off people in need for. I will never call them again! read more

Having used Plumbline in the past I was certainly not reluctant to call them again. This time with a heater problem. The technician, Kendrick Sipple, arrived early and was very professional getting right to the job of diagnosing the problem. The ignitor for the furnace had failed. Took about 2 - 3 minutes to figure that out and replace it. Overall I would certainly recommend Kendrick with a 5 star rating. The only issue I have, and why the rating isn't 5 stars overall is paying $309.00 for a $30.00 part, available thru several outlets online. Seems somewhat outrageous. Mario Sr. just left after repositioning my AC pipes and wires so I could use the outside faucet which was blocked by the AC pipes. Mario is one of the reasons I keep coming back to Plumbline. After studying the problem, he told me what he planned to do, and he did it! He checked to make sure everything worked, including moving a very heavy hose from another faucet to make sure it could be fastened to the faucet, checking for leaks, checking to make sure the AC still worked and adjusting it so it worked better, checking to make sure the furnace filter was clean, and went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. Plumbline business model is to send a tech out, diagnose (for a reasonable cost) then offer to fix the issue on the spot. Here's where they upsell you with options you do not need. Ridiculously expensive quotes. I had a tech quote a 45 min diagnosis and a 30 min repair. 7+ hours later, 2 trips to retrieve the correct part, I was billed over $850. No breakout costs on invoice. When I asked the tech how much the part was, he said 250. I asked how much the hourly rate was...he said $250/hr Told him I wanted to speak to management..he said they were out of town. Plumbline called to see if I was happy with tech. Explained and they said they'd have mgmt call me that day. Never happened. Use a reputable HVAC company, not them. You'll get upsold and charged $$$$ read more
