The electrician that helped me was Sean, who found that the common wire was broken somewhere between the origin and the outlet. He was quick to locate and fix the issue. We always use Genesis for all of our electric needs. Adam has been coming to our house for years for anything we need. Our house was built in the 90's so it's not up to date on anything we need for current lifestyles. We had a bunch of stuff done to update it this week, along with some cosmetic fun things as well, so he brought Sean along to help him this time. They did an amazing job. "Unethical" I recently moved from the east coast to Colorado into the home of my fiance. Being unfamiliar with the home we came to learn there were 2 fuse boxes. The outlets in the play room weren't working and we needed assistance to fix them. In comes Genesis with a very nice salesman/electrician who out of the box is selling packages. Beware on this scam approach as an assessment has not even occurred yet and here we start by signing an agreement for $700. The long and short is, we discovered the second fuse panel and all the technician did was flip the switch and the outlets worked. Typically a company charges a fee to arrive and assess and NOT coerce $700 packages before knowing what we're dealing with. Lesson learned, but we'll think otherwise if electrical work is needed when a company after flipping a switch to freshen a fuse still charges you $700. a completely unethical and motive of GREED. I decided to not go with Genesis 1:3 and I'm glad I did not. Although they seemed very professional, showed up on time and had a knowledgeable representative, they quoted us exactly double what another company quoted us for installing a new circuit into our basement. This required running line across the length of the house, then drilling through the concrete (a few inches). They quoted us $5000. They also charge a service fee to come and see, $29. Originally I thought, "well, Christian name for a company, good reviews, we'll probably just go with them regardless of the service fee." But after hearing the quote, my wife and I actually thought we would just forget the whole project. Glad we got a second quote read more

The installers were great! Very courteous with our ceiling fan removal and installation. The service fee was more than I thought it would be, as it doesn't go towards the project. It ended up being pretty costly with a new electrical box, too, but they did a great job. They even waited for me to go purchase a new fan after the first one had missing parts. They returned the same day to finish the job. read more

I have a basement to finish, architectural drawings, and decided to try this company based on the reviews. I was barely able to tell him that I wanted my basement done when he starts telling me about how busy he is with several businesses I've never heard of. Only after I very quickly told him about the fact I was pulling permits and have drawings from an architect did he seem the least bit interested. He simply gave me his email and said send me the drawings and I'll send you a quote. I should have known that he wasn't the least bit interested but I sent the drawings anyway, and over a week later, nothing. I wanted to give them a fair shot but apparently they don't need the work. That's okay. Like my wife said, move on with life and find someone else. I will remember this going forward and steer anyone I know of looking for electrical work away from them. An interesting fact happened after I posted this. Dustin apologized and blamed various things for his lack of response. He said he would be more than happy if I contacted him with my plans to his email address and he would gladly help me out. Well, I sent over my architectural plans for him to view directly to the email he gave me. It has been three days and not a word, not even that he received my email. If this is the kind of response I get just trying to get a quote for work, I hate to guess what would happen if I accepted a bid. I was willing to give him a second chance, but this is not acceptable. Update: Dustin sent me a quote which took about a week due to him being sick. The quote was nice and then I asked to have him come to my house so my wife and I could meet him as I won't hire anyone sight unseen. The day of the appointment, instead of calling me on my cell he sent an email that my wife just happened to see stating he was going to be late. I had to call him. We have a tight schedule to begin with, but I was happy that he was nice enough to make contact. We had to reschedule to which he agreed to a few days after- Friday at 4 PM. Friday came and Dustin was a no call, no email, no show. No more excuses. Done with you. read more

This company is ridiculous. The first time they scheduled a time to give me a quote, they gave me an exact time, but then later told me it was a "time window" which is why they didn't show up when expected. A great electrician then called back to set up the time for the quote and actually came by to give the quote. He was respectful and seemed like he'd do good work. I called back to schedule the job, but when the day of the appointment came, no one showed up. When I talked to the receptionist (same one each time), she not only was not sympathetic to no one showing up for the job, but threw her boss under the bus, saying he was the one that forgot to schedule the appointment correctly, NOT her (I don't believe this). I rescheduled with her AGAIN for today and she said someone would DEFINITELY show up this time, but here we are, and no one has showed up in the window they gave me, yet again. That's THREE separate instances where no one showed up at all. I believe the main issue is the receptionist, who I asked to have a manager call me, which she said she would (she didn't- no one ever called). Don't waste your time. read more
