Talk about exceeding expectations, first Sebastian was early, upon his arrival he spoke with us about our expectations. Once we explained what we expected he told us the steps he was going to take to accomplish the job. He then executed his plan and when he finished or expectations were exceeded. He installed a Ceiling Fan in our master bedroom and there was not even a light fixture for him to work from. He cut the Sheetrock, installed the electrical boxes with supports and then wired it to a switch. When finished there wasn't even a speck of dust or insulation to be found anywhere. Bad communication: called for a quote/estimate on running wire for a doorbell on an old Park Hill home -- asked specifically if that was the kind of work that they did, and they assured me that it was. Were great about offering an early appointment for a quote within a 2 hour window-- then the morning of, pushed the appointment back to a time we couldnt be there. Annoying, but no big deal, things happen. Rescheduled for today, took ANOTHER couple of hours from work to come home and meet the electrician. Josh was on time, and seemed very nice and knowledgeable... but told me immediately that this wasnt the knd of work his company did, and wasnt sure why I was given an appointment at all. Very apologetic, but super frustrating. So... two afternoons worth of work, wasted by the misinformation I was given on my initial phone call. No knowledge of the quality of the work they do, but when you call be sure its in their scope of work. And even if they say it is... I guess be prepared for it not to be! read more

I recently purchased a house that I wanted to bring up to electrical code. Dominic came out, on time, and got right to work. He was efficient with replacing my 15 outlets, and I feel that the pricing was very reasonable. I will be keeping his card handy for my next project. Highly recommend! I was converting from an electric cooktop to a gas cooktop and needed to have the existing hardwired electrical work switched out to an outlet for the gas cooktop ignitor. I submitted a Home Advisor quote request and they responded within less than 5 minutes and scheduled an estimate for 8:00 a.m. the next day! Dominic called to let me know he was on his way, showed up promptly at 8:00 a.m. gave me an estimate, (which I feel was very reasonable), and installed the new outlet and replaced another sketchy breaker I had right then and it only took an hour! Poor scheduling. Slow response time. Apparently it's my fault? I'ma repeat customer or I was trying to be. They prompted me to do a fall furnace check up. I also needed some other plumbing work done. The scheduled date came and went; no one showed. When I contacted them they said it would be another month before they can get somebody out here. To Add insult to injury they implied that it was my fault. I asked more than once to talk with the manager or the owner to get this straightened out but I never got an answer to that request. A good service provider will make an exception for a previous customer especially when the scheduling error was their mistake. So I've moved on to A competitor that doesn't have a problem scheduling and AAA lost a good customer. read more

Called this company to provide an estimate for installing two small light fixtures and run two power wires through a wall for a home alarm system. The company quoted over $600 for these two minor projects!! The light fixtures were already on hand so there was no cost for parts. No reasonable person is going to accept an estimate for that price for the minor work requested. If the company simply doesn't want to accept a job, they should just be honest with people and say so. read more

Jim Cox hooked up our hot tub, but he must have done it wrong because it does not work (has no power). Had a short in a GFCI outlet. We were hoping they would also check the surrounding wiring and make sure there isn't something more serious. The technician was OK, but they have a graduated price list and anything major quickly gets well over $600 dollars. So we just had him change the outlet. Cost? $280! I asked them to resend the invoice they gave to me with a little more details than the two sentences they wrote so I could provide it and explain it to my clients and they said it would be no problem, then they sent me a text and said they would only re send it for $185 fee!!?? We highly recommend Josh as a capable, qualified electrician who takes pride in his work and is truly committed to safety. We needed a certified electrician ASAP to fulfill the objections by a buyer for our house. The Inspector ID'd 4 outlets that required CGFI units. Josh found the upline unit for the first two, saving us expense and saving the new owners the potential problems of over-installation. No charge. He then spent time searching for a CGFI connection for the exterior outlets. When he then went inside the exterior plugs, he found serious problems of weather damage and of incorrect original installation by the Builder. He worked very quickly to correct our wiring and properly seal the exterior outlets so that the new owners will be safe for years to come. They said they need a visit to give a quote but that the technician can likely do the install same day if we are happy with the quote. So we wait about two weeks for the appointment and when they arrive we find out that they do not install attic fans. I had a circuit breaker that wouldn't reset. Called these guys and to my surprise, they were available that day. Should have known better. Two young guys came out and seemed to be qualified. However, after a quick look at the breaker, they told me they work on a "flat rate". Well, the cheapest rate was $420, and went up to $1200. For a breaker!! I had already taken time off work and so I went ahead. Should have reconsidered. They replaced the breaker and one outlet, which was accurate and done properly. But they ripped me off for $420 when the job reasonably should have been half that. Don't call these guys unless price is no object. read more

Jeff is amazing. He is now working on a 2nd, very major project for me including new wiring, installation of new custom fixtures, replacement of all fluorescent lighting on an entire floor, installation of dimmers, installation and / or complete replacement of lighting in various rooms, etc. - basically, a full house overhaul of all lighting and a lot of wiring. I can't say enough - his work is immaculate, his demeanor is professional, courteous and focused. I have just recommended him to my designer and told her she must use him for every project she works on. I have done some very substantial remodel work on homes, and Jeff's work is bar none, the best I have ever seen. Btw, I read the other 2 reviews, and (1) Jeff's estimate for his work was extremely fair, if not lower than I anticipated. And, to top it off, the final work will be coming in UNDER his estimate (when does that ever happen????); and (2) seriously? you're knocking a guy's company and his service quality by the fact he was hungry?
