I contacted JM Electric to schedule a visit to assess the electricity in my house. The previous company had informed me the wiring was too old and need replacing, to the tune of $10,000. JM arrived promptly and told me my wiring was fine. So happy to find an honest company! read more

I have used them many times - this time was for a nonworking light fixture. I called at 8:30am and the tech was at my house at 10:45 am. The fix was easier and much better than I thought it would be. A similar fixture was also updated at half price. Always a great job. I don't check prices because the responsiveness and quality of the work are most important to me but it seems reasonable. read more

I recently replaced my old FPE electric panel. I got quotes from 3 vendors. Although JM Electric was middle of the pricings, work detail was identical to the highest bidder. I reviewed their website and reviews and decided to go with them, even though they were not the lowest bidder. Sebastian was great in explaining all details of the quote and showed up right on time on the day of the work. Very efficient and the entire work took less time than expected. He explained the details of all work done and what to expect with the follow up city inspection. Highly recommend JM Electric and Sebastian and his buddy read more

JM Electric just installed a home EV wall charger for my new Rivian truck. The Master Electrician Casey was on time, courteous, professional, and did meticulous work. He had to reconfigure my circuit breaker panel, add conduit, wiring and install the wall charger. A gentleman and a true pro. This organization was very easy to do business with. Plenty of proactive communication, clear, concise bidding, flexible scheduling, and reasonable pricing. read more

Talk about exceeding expectations, first Sebastian was early, upon his arrival he spoke with us about our expectations. Once we explained what we expected he told us the steps he was going to take to accomplish the job. He then executed his plan and when he finished or expectations were exceeded. He installed a Ceiling Fan in our master bedroom and there was not even a light fixture for him to work from. He cut the Sheetrock, installed the electrical boxes with supports and then wired it to a switch. When finished there wasn't even a speck of dust or insulation to be found anywhere. The installation was perfect and the fan worked perfectly as well. If you need electrical work done, I HIGHLY Recommend SEBASTIAN from JM Electric Inc. read more

JM electric did a light repair and installed a new light fixture in our home. Jim was great. Punctual, polite, and great at explaining a sharing. I'm naturally a curious person and have done a little bit of electrical myself. I kept asking questions and offering help while he was doing the job. He explained things in an way that anyone would understand. He was appreciative of my offers but declined them for obvious reasons, I'm not a professional. lol He stayed clean, tidy, timely, & efficient. He also, last minute, installed a dimmer switch on the lights he repaired. He is very knowledgeable and up to date on fixtures, switches, and installed. Highly recommended. read more

Great service and very professional! Arrived on time, cleaned up after the job and did what the said they were going to do.

Our experience with JM electric has been superb! Josh gave us an honest and fair estimate of the work that needed to be done while making good suggestions on some other things we should consider even if it didn't mean more money for JM Electric. When Josh and his crew began the work, they were quick and efficient finishing in the time frame they stated they would even after we added a few extra things to their to do list. We look forward to having them complete some additional electrical work for us in the near future. read more

Bad communication: called for a quote/estimate on running wire for a doorbell on an old Park Hill home -- asked specifically if that was the kind of work that they did, and they assured me that it was. Were great about offering an early appointment for a quote within a 2 hour window-- then the morning of, pushed the appointment back to a time we couldnt be there. Annoying, but no big deal, things happen. Rescheduled for today, took ANOTHER couple of hours from work to come home and meet the electrician. Josh was on time, and seemed very nice and knowledgeable... but told me immediately that this wasnt the knd of work his company did, and wasnt sure why I was given an appointment at all. Very apologetic, but super frustrating. So... two afternoons worth of work, wasted by the misinformation I was given on my initial phone call. No knowledge of the quality of the work they do, but when you call be sure its in their scope of work. And even if they say it is... I guess be prepared for it not to be! read more

I recently purchased a house that I wanted to bring up to electrical code. Dominic came out, on time, and got right to work. He was efficient with replacing my 15 outlets, and I feel that the pricing was very reasonable. I will be keeping his card handy for my next project. As a side note, when I initially discussed my project (with little knowledge of electrical code), Dominic educated me about what I could and couldn't do to maintain code in the house. I appreciated the integrity. He reviewed some options and took a look at everything I had concerns about, and we boiled it down to what was most affordable for me at that time. I often feel its hard to find good work in The Denver area, but JK Electric is excellent. read more

Came by for estimate same day I called, work was done a couple days later. Dominic was patient answering all my Electronic 101 questions. I will be using JM again for the next project on my list for sure, really good experience read more

Highly recommend! I was converting from an electric cooktop to a gas cooktop and needed to have the existing hardwired electrical work switched out to an outlet for the gas cooktop ignitor. I submitted a Home Advisor quote request and they responded within less than 5 minutes and scheduled an estimate for 8:00 a.m. the next day! Dominic called to let me know he was on his way, showed up promptly at 8:00 a.m. gave me an estimate, (which I feel was very reasonable), and installed the new outlet and replaced another sketchy breaker I had right then and it only took an hour! Dominic was very professional and personable and I will definitely use JM Electric again for any electrical needs I have! read more

We needed an emergency outlet repair at my father's home and Elijah @ JM electric was able to be there in just a couple of hours. Excellent communication, called to let us know when he was 30 minutes out....and, even then, he was early! The associates were very friendly and Elijah was very patient with our elderly father, explaining exactly what he was going to do and answering all of his questions. I found JM from a referral on Nextdoor and we were very pleased! read more

Start to finish this company is fantastic. Someone will always answer the phone, which is unusual these days. The electrician, Hannah, was on time and did a great job diagnosing the problem and getting it fixed. I am very happy to have found JM Electric. read more

Sebastian and JM Electric did it again! Sebastian came within 2 days of our request. He provided us services a few months ago and his professionalism, efficiency and expertise were no different. He installed a ceiling fan this time, just in time for summer. He arrived wearing a mask and was cautious and safe during this pandemic. We look forward to working with Sebastian and JM Electric for our future needs. read more

JM Electric - Ceiling fan installed - Electricians Near Me - Aurora, Colorado

Poor scheduling. Slow response time. Apparently it's my fault? I'ma repeat customer or I was trying to be. They prompted me to do a fall furnace check up. I also needed some other plumbing work done. The scheduled date came and went; no one showed. When I contacted them they said it would be another month before they can get somebody out here. To Add insult to injury they implied that it was my fault. I asked more than once to talk with the manager or the owner to get this straightened out but I never got an answer to that request. A good service provider will make an exception for a previous customer especially when the scheduling error was their mistake. So I've moved on to A competitor that doesn't have a problem scheduling and AAA lost a good customer. read more

I needed a light switch removed and another repaired. Josh was friendly and professional. Would recommend. Thanks!

Called this company to provide an estimate for installing two small light fixtures and run two power wires through a wall for a home alarm system. The company quoted over $600 for these two minor projects!! The light fixtures were already on hand so there was no cost for parts. No reasonable person is going to accept an estimate for that price for the minor work requested. If the company simply doesn't want to accept a job, they should just be honest with people and say so. read more

The company is very prompt and responsive. We had first used the company for a panel upgrade. They were a little more than the other bids we got, but liked them a little more, so we hired them. This job was done excellently, we decided to use them more. We have a remodel going, needed some wiring moved during. There were some issues during the projects, as there are with any projects. In the end JM took care of what they needed to. Thanks JM Electric! read more

I had a great experience with JM electric. Needed an outlet upgraded in our garage to support a freezer/refrigerator. JM came out to do an estimate quickly and got me on their schedule. Their customer service was great, fair price, they worked fast and did solid work. Would use them for electrical work again! read more

I bought a light fixture and went to install it, but the aluminum to copper connections made me nervous. I called JM electric, and they could've come out the same day. I had to wait until the next day because of some work commitments on my end. I took the 8-9 appointment for the next day. Sebastian called and texted at 7:45 and was at my home at 8am. He took a look and explained what my options were. It was a free estimate, and I didn't feel any pressure to agree to anything. He explained everything in a way that made sense and answered all my questions thoroughly. He was professional, respectful and thorough throughout. The peace of mind from having a professional handle the wiring was definitely worth it. I have his business card and will be calling him for any and all electrical work. It was what having a professional come to your home should feel like. Thank you, Sebastian. P.S. maybe give him a raise :) read more

Jim Cox hooked up our hot tub, but he must have done it wrong because it does not work (has no power). Jim's business card reads "100% Satisfaction Guaranteed" but neither Jim nor the owner (Mike) will not make it right. They have 1000 reasons why it must be someone else's fault. Be very, very careful if you do business with these folks! David 303-929-2983 EDIT: Owner Mike contacted me to say that he was sorry that they were unable to satisfy us. He honored their "100% Satisfaction Guaranteed" statement and returned our check. I recognize that mistakes happen in every business, and a willingness to take responsibility means a lot to me. Based on this response, Mike has earned my respect and I will definitely consider JM Electric for future work. Kudos to Mike. David read more

I called JM Electric on the recommendation of the cabinet installer after the remodel contractors electrician suddenly moved without notice, leaving me with a mess and no contractor. JM responded quickly and Sebastian was great. He installed outlets, lights, and finished the project with professionalism and quality. He went above and beyond to get things done and has been back to help with a few extra things that came up after the project was completed. He's professional, thoughtful and personable. AND...fair and honest in pricing...someone else might have taken advantage of the bind I was in but not Sebastian and JM. I highly recommend them! read more

Quick and professional service. Reasonable price. Used couple times already. Both services are good and very satisfied.

Watch out for price gouging. They came over and wanted over $900 to "inspect wiring" in my breaker because an appliance had tripped the breaker. I have a friend who is an electrician and according to him half of what JM recommended was not necessary. The other half, which took minutes for my friend, JM wanted $900 for. read more

Had a short in a GFCI outlet. We were hoping they would also check the surrounding wiring and make sure there isn't something more serious. The technician was OK, but they have a graduated price list and anything major quickly gets well over $600 dollars. So we just had him change the outlet. Cost? $280! Next time I will watch a YouTube video and do it myself. I've had other electricians do much more work for less. read more

Finding a good and dependable electrician for the home is challenging. Jm Electric proved to be the company you can trust. They have someone answering the phone when you have questions, and in my experience they have incredibly professional and customer focused electricians. I worked with Dominic on my electrical needs and he was a real pro, on time, worked with my schedule and went above and beyond the job in record time. I would highly recommend Jm again to anyone. Thanks to Dominic and the Jm team! read more

Crooks, so Yvonne said she would send out someone to our property and give a free estimate, only to find out there was a service charge when they came out. I asked them to resend the invoice they gave to me with a little more details than the two sentences they wrote so I could provide it and explain it to my clients and they said it would be no problem, then they sent me a text and said they would only re send it for $185 fee!!?? For what? To re send an invoice thru email? Con artists. Never use them. read more

*****************************WARNING*********************** Do not do business with JM Electric, 200 amp breaker box install quote was highway robbery! Thousands to High! Not impressed. They are listed as Airscape attic fan installers so I called to get a quote. They said they need a visit to give a quote but that the technician can likely do the install same day if we are happy with the quote. So we wait about two weeks for the appointment and when they arrive we find out that they do not install attic fans. Big waste of our time when we could have been working with a company that does the kind of work we need. read more

I had a circuit breaker that wouldn't reset. Called these guys and to my surprise, they were available that day. Should have known better. Two young guys came out and seemed to be qualified. However, after a quick look at the breaker, they told me they work on a "flat rate". Well, the cheapest rate was $420, and went up to $1200. For a breaker!! I had already taken time off work and so I went ahead. Should have reconsidered. They replaced the breaker and one outlet, which was accurate and done properly. But they ripped me off for $420 when the job reasonably should have been half that. Don't call these guys unless price is no object. read more

We highly recommend Josh as a capable, qualified electrician who takes pride in his work and is truly committed to safety. We needed a certified electrician ASAP to fulfill the objections by a buyer for our house. The Inspector ID'd 4 outlets that required CGFI units. Josh found the upline unit for the first two, saving us expense and saving the new owners the potential problems of over-installation. No charge. He then spent time searching for a CGFI connection for the exterior outlets. When he then went inside the exterior plugs, he found serious problems of weather damage and of incorrect original installation by the Builder. He worked very quickly to correct our wiring and properly seal the exterior outlets so that the new owners will be safe for years to come. Along the way, he educated us about the house and about safe electrical wiring. Thank you, Josh! read more

Jeff is amazing. He is now working on a 2nd, very major project for me including new wiring, installation of new custom fixtures, replacement of all fluorescent lighting on an entire floor, installation of dimmers, installation and / or complete replacement of lighting in various rooms, etc. - basically, a full house overhaul of all lighting and a lot of wiring. I can't say enough - his work is immaculate, his demeanor is professional, courteous and focused. I have just recommended him to my designer and told her she must use him for every project she works on. I have done some very substantial remodel work on homes, and Jeff's work is bar none, the best I have ever seen. Btw, I read the other 2 reviews, and (1) Jeff's estimate for his work was extremely fair, if not lower than I anticipated. And, to top it off, the final work will be coming in UNDER his estimate (when does that ever happen????); and (2) seriously? you're knocking a guy's company and his service quality by the fact he was hungry? Yeah, he shouldn't have cut you off, but get over it already. Sheesh. Jeff is the best out there. Period. read more

Josh Martin is awesome. He came out to our home and assessed the potential work, set up a schedule and performed all the work on time and within budget. That in itself deserves a 5 star rating. But he was courteous, accommodating and so helpful throughout the whole process. Totally trustworthy and professional and knowledgeable. And, he knows his stuff! read more

I called and had someone come give me an estimate for an electrical issue in my kitchen. I was quoted $2000, which seemed really high. So after ANOTHER company came out, they fixed the issue for $200. Nice try to rip me off. Don't bother calling this company, they are less than honest. read more
