The company was very responsive and kind. Jami was very knowledgeable and was able to get our repair done very quickly. He explained everything that he was doing, as well as provided recommendations for products to improve our system. However, there was no pressure to purchase. Jami also showed us an emergency switch by the water heater. This would allow us to shut the water off to the water heater while allowing the water to stay on in our house if a pipe were to break in the future. One of our bathroom sinks backed up. We ran a snake down the pipe but it kept going into the roof vent path. We called Blue Dragon and they said that it sounded like we needed a drain camera and they did not have one but referred us to Plumb Doctors. I scheduled and was told that there was an $89 service call fee but it would be waived if we went ahead with service. Marc and Gabe came and after I signed for the $337 drain opening service they brought in a large power auger. They said their drain camera could not make the turns in the pipe. They tried several times to use the big snake but could not get it to go through. Marc said it looked like the pipe was collapsed or rusted shut and said we would need to tunnel under the house at a cost of $18,000. He knocked $50 off the service since they did not get the drain clear so I was charged $287 for no results. After they left we tried our little wire snake again, got it into the correct pipe and snagged the hair clog and cleared the drain. I called and asked about getting reimbursed for some of the $287 since it was obviously a wrong diagnosis. I was told I would get a call today from the operations manager but no call. I would not recommend this company. read more

Our tankless water heater had been neglected for years. Another company said it would have to be replaced (even though it was working fine). Graham came out and assessed the situation and realized that it could be repaired and flushed instead of replacing. He saved us a great of money. Beyond that, it was a joy to work with him. Made an emergency call to Plumb Doctors for a leaking pipe in our foundation. They were able to send someone out that morning. Jamie arrived and quickly assessed the situation. Andrew brought in a leak detector and they located the manifolds and the leak. Jamie stayed until late that Friday evening with another tech to open up two spots in the wall and cap off the leaking connections. Thanks to them we had water service in our house for the weekend and the leaks were stopped. They also scheduled a follow up visit to reroute the leaking pipes. Plumb Doctors came out and replaced our bathroom sink fixture. The next day we noticed a slow leak from sink pipe underneath and also the stopper was flaky/quickly broke. Now the stopper is not functional at all. The water pressure was also lower than it was previously. So happy to have found Plumb Doctors! We came home after Thanksgiving travels to find our kitchen sink backed up and totally out of service. Plum Doctors scheduled us for the very next day. They showed up a little early as I was coming from work and started looking into the problem from the outside. So by the time I drove up, they were pretty sure what the problem was. Fixed quickly and very affordable. Graham snaked the pipe and found the problem pretty far down the line. He also showed me how to easily check the p trap under the sink without having to open it. I called Plumb Doctors to get a second opinion on a big plumbing repair that another plumber told me was needed. Plumb Doctors' normal business appointments were booked for the next week so I agreed to the extra cost of an after-hours appointment and they came out the same day - in the evening. As he arrived, Marc called me to get the background info (I couldn't be there) then he went to work. He called back later with the news that he couldn't complete the job due to broken equipment. However, between the two of us, we had enough information to discuss the situation and make an educated plan of action that avoided the big repair the other plumber had recommended. Even with the broken equipment, I got exactly what I was hoping for: a professional second opinion that helped me manage the situation in a more reasonable way saving me time, money and inconvenience.
