Agreed that there's totally no reason Vadim & company should get one star. One issue with one file and this talented group of professionals gets a single star? Although I'm not a student or a business, they treated me professionally and with patience. Their communication was excellent, their advice was solid and they were totally fair w/r/t pricing. They won't chat your ear off, they'll probably be way too busy for anything like that. However, they will respond to your input and make sure the job is done the way you need. I listened to the sharks playoffs with Vadim while we printed a booklet for a non-profit i was working with. He taught me a lot. He treated me like an intern, not an idiot who set up his file wrong (i was in fact an idiot who set up his file wrong.) he was awesome in the selection of paper and went double the extra mile in assuring that the colors were reproduced accurately. The quality is amazing, the service is just as awesome, and Vadim runs a tight ship. I have no reason to print anywhere else in the city. ps: i also really enjoy going to his building because of the location. I guess i was used to filthy fed exes, but he has a big ol' space in some building in the financial district that feels like the church of printing. read more

I've printed at shops all over San Francisco and New York City, and I only trust Plotnet and Vadim. The quality of his color prints is so superior to all the other shops I've been to that I will gladly pay to ship his higher quality work out to New York for presentations and competitions out there. For color boards or multiple B&W drawing sets, I trust only Plotnet. read more

Their service is okay. But I have never seen an attitude like this, the guy who work over the printing zone, he's German I think. He doesn't respect people, and he made an mistake on my illustration board, I told him to fix, he said it's not his fault, he even said "do you want me to contact your teacher? He threatened me! There is no reason Vadim and his team should get one star. They are extremely knowledgable, talented and willing to offer great advice about what would work best for your project. I am a student at AAU and know that the Academy uses him for their own prints as well as having instructors recommend their students to him. What I have appreciated most is the time he has taken with me in showing me how to get the best quality prints for my work. I've also picked up some new tricks on Photoshop and Illustrator. I won't hesitate to call Plotnet when it comes to my printing projects in the future. read more

I went to Plotnet because I am a student at Academy of Art and my teacher recommended them. They are more expensive than other printers but i really wanted a nice job done, so I figured it was worth. It's not. For all their talk about how they get colors right, they didn't on mine. I brought in an example of what i wanted it to look like and it printed wrong. It looked nothing like my example or the image on his calibrated monitor. He offered no solutions to fix. I am very disappointed with the output and will not go to them again. read more

Place is a little awkward when I went in at first so make sure you go in and get someones attention instead of waiting around in the front room. I had a few panos that needed mounting and was referred from a friend to go here. The quality is great and they handled my panoramas with care, they even wrapped it up really well. Vadim, the owner, has been in the industry for 20+ years and knows his stuff. By far, the most high quality, specialized printing service I've encountered. I had a school project I needed to get one copy printed up, and Plotnet was able to serve my needs in my low quantity (only one copy!) order. My experience with other print vendors is they require a higher minimum order. Their prices aren't cheap, but I'll take quality over quantity any day. I cannot recommend Plotnet enough. Will definitely use them again in the future! read more

They did an awesome job. I first got my portfolio printed at B.P.S.; however, the prints came out dark and muddy. When I got the prints done at plotnet, the colors in the images were perfect. Even though it was expensive, it was worth it. You get what you pay for. read more
