Stopped by during our recent visit to Seattle. I had been here years ago and decided to give it another try. It was just as good as I remembered it to be. The bar area is fully equipped with multiple TVs. This was a sneaky good place to watch sports. They had great content management with all important college football and baseball games on the TVs. We got the crispy taco and cheese enchilada plate and al pastor tacos. It came with so much food we didn't come close to finishing it all. It was all very good and fresh. It has a lot of authentic Mexican theme stuff the food. I've only been once and I'm gonna go back to customer service and it was great. I got a taco salad. I wasn't impressed especially just moving here from Arizona. It was overpriced. Very small. The taco meat was not seasoned like taco seasoning. It was just ground beef. The percentage of meat was small the lettuce was a lot. The interior gives a lot of Mexican vibes and they were decorating for cinco de mayo. I ordered enchiladas rancheros with Al pastor meat. My review is based solely on pick-up. I ordered the Carne Asada, which cost around $30 and included complimentary chips and tortillas. The portion size was generous and quite filling. I really enjoyed the beans and the seasoning on the carne, but I wasn't a fan of the rice or how chewy the meat was. It's possible the texture was affected by it being a pick-up order, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. It really sucks that I have to write this review because I love their food so much. I place an order @ 4:45pm and set it for pick up at 5:50. I get there and it's busy, there is nobody present, and I had to wait for a waiter to spot me in order to tell them I have a pickup order. I tell them the name for the order and they told me they don't have it and that it must've been picked up for delivery. This doesn't make any sense because I placed an order for pickup, not delivery. I show them three different kinds of proof of purchase with my name, date, and the order with the restaurants address and everything. They told me they don't have it. I ask if they can make it cause I already paid and they told me I would have to wait as they have a long list of people that need to be sat for dinner. Look, I've worked in so many restaurants. I know what it's like to forget someone's order or to screw up like this especially when it's busy butThis is not the type of situation to be saying "you have to wait another hour for your food that you placed almost two hours ago." You send in that order on the fly and you make it for the customer who has been waiting much longer than any of the folks that arrived after to be sat for dinner. Yeah they made me wait for almost an hour. Folks around me were gossiping about the lack of organization this restaurant has and it made perfect sense. The service was fine and the inside was comfortable and colorful with plenty of TVs if you want to watch the game. But the food was really underwhelming. The nachos tasted more like store-bought ingredients and I didn't finish them. My partner wasn't a fan of his fajitas either and felt they lacked flavor. The mango marg he had was fine but the jalapeño marg I had was too sweet and flavorless and wasn't spicy enough. Plaza Garibaldi is my go-to location when I'm ordering delivery and craving Mexican food. I've also visited a few times in person. The chips and salsa are really tasty. But watch out for the spice on that salsa if you're midwestern ;-) The portions are large and I really enjoy the flavor of their red enchilada/burrito sauce. Over the years I've tried their quesadillas, taquitos rancheros, burritos, so many sides of refried beans (yum!), and flavored margaritas. When ordering delivery my order is always done accurately and they don't skimp on the sides. Such an unsuspecting restaurant in downtown Seattle! I've probably walked by here so many times, not knowing what restaurant was actually inside. This is a good go-to spot for Happy Hour Mexican food. It's your typical filling portions/ no-frills spot with a friendly atmosphere. I got the house margarita which was pretty weak but cheap. You have to sit in the bar area for the Happy Hour so make sure you tell the hostess since we were taken to a different room and then had to move... oops. To be honest there are a lot of spots with this same quality of food that I would describe as "solid". Best part is the free chips and salsa and the large portions. We got the nachos with the shredded chicken (came with guac and sour cream). For the price it was good but I personally love grilled/ fajita chicken more as shredded chicken can be kind of tasteless (you get what you pay for).
