I got to say...I've been back a 3rd and 4th time from my first review and both times the food was okay. If it would have been made like this my first 2 visits I wouldn't have raved about them the same. I waited to do an update in case they were just having an off day, but it seems as though they are very inconsistent. The food is missing the love. It was better couple months ago, this place is vegan, but their burger and fries were better before. The burger was juicer and thicker before and this time I went at night, it was cooked kind of like a smash burger at shake shack. I think they are trying to make the burger like shake shack, but when you make it with vegan protein it just seem too dry to make it a smash burger style. The plant style fries could use more sauce and the fries could be fresher, it is too dry and plain without sauce or lack of onion when you get through the first layer. There were basically no sitting area in the inside of the restaurant, only the outside have some bench and tables. The time we went there they didn't turn on the space heater outside when it was in ~60F. The location was also next to a bar and you get the cigarette smell from their patio area. There are also limited parking area with a detached bathroom next to the parking lot. However the packaging of their items looks cute and well thought of , but food wise it honestly wasn't as good as a couple month ago. read more

When I saw plant based chicken I was skeptical, but I'm glad I stopped by. I tried the original plant based chicken sandwich and the kale salad with chicken tenders on top. The salad was amazing, loved the golden raisins and parmesan cheese on the kale. Enjoyed the crispy tenders as well. The burger was good as well, it had a softer mouth feel if anything. Finding the spot was easy, it was right next to one of my favorite bars l, little indies. They even have a little parking lot, I usually parked on the street and walked over so it's nice to know they have a small lot right there. They are open late as well so great for the night life at mills. I'll come back to try their buffalo "chicken" but if you are in the area and want some different late night food, try this place out. read more

Ever since I first tried Plantees, I have been craving those juicy spicy nuggets of theirs. I finally had a chance to come back, and was sadly disappointed. I noticed that they offer combos for either nuggets or single burger, fries, and a drink Mondays to Fridays from 11am to 8pm. Unfortunately we got there at 9pm, so my boyfriend and I decided to get on order of the plant style fries (more than enough for 2 people), the spicy nuggets, and the double burger. Our food came out quicker than before, but unfortunately this time the juicy spicy nuggets were super dry and tasted bad...it tasted like dry bland toast. The plant style fries could've used more sauce/ toppings since the majority of the fries we ate were just plain. I noticed my boyfriend's burger had more of a crust then last time, which I liked but he preferred the cook last time, which was less crust but more of a pink/ reddish center. Maybe they should offer different cook options since people have different preferences. I don't think I can come back until I know that the nuggets are back to how they originally were. This place is my fam and I knew favorite spot! The burgers and fries hit just right every time! Recently my kids got the nuggets and fries and absolutely loved them! We also ordered shakes the last time we went and also loved those! My husband had the pumpkin spice (seasonal) and my daughter and I had the Oreo mixture. The restaurant is a small spot, and the eating area is a few benches outside the restaurant. We always choose to sit in the front on the fake grass area. First time I went there way overpriced just happened to go there again to buy a shake Plant Based shake, matcha flavor, their menus said eight dollars. My receipt says they charge me nine dollars with tax about $9.59. Whoever's running it doesn't seem to care about how they look so I just tells me that it might not be the cleanest place they're cooking in the first time we went there and ate the food were not that great. The shake was the best thing I had. I went to go get another shake today, and it was full of little tiny Hard Matcha stones. Something is telling me they don't clean so I will not be returning and I don't suggest anybody who thinks about their health to go there because it's Health-based but it doesn't look clean but if you want to test it out you go right ahead Behind the scenes I think it's a different story. Sorry for such a bad review I'm always looking for nice restaurants to eat at especially healthy food places. This one sits on the corner of Mills Avenue you can barely see it has no parking except for about four spaces to park in, everything else should be on the street. Came here with some friends of mine super eager to try a new plant-based burger in the city. One thing that caught me off guard was that it was all outdoor seating and that even the bathrooms are outside, which was fine just unexpected. The burgers are good but their fries are shoestring style that cost like $7 alone and completely not worth it. Everything is a la carte and in my opinion, if you only offer shoestring fries to be your side it should just be part of the price of the burger since that is already priced at $14+. I have issues with the fries though. They were ok, but they were expensive at $5. It could easily feed 2 hungry or even maybe 3 picking, so the portion wasn't an issue, but I'm not gonna eat that many fries by myself. I want to tip the staff a little bit even if it's a to-go order. I'd be much happier at $12 for burger and small fries with a $3 tip to the staff as opposed to $15 before tip. It's nit picky maybe, but it matters. Very disappointed I drove all the way here because they sent me a coupon for 50% off of any menu item, just to say that the coupon was only for their "soft opening". Keep in mind they rescheduled their soft opening several times so they kept resending the coupon. There is NO expiration date on the coupon and NO mention that it was only allowed to be used for the soft opening. Blown away! At first glance, it's super cute and laid back. There isn't any indoor seating but they have a great outdoor patio. We got two single burgers, regular fries and two Arnold Palmers (I'll have to come back for those shakes because they were calling my name). The burgers are insanely good, you cannot tell at all that it's not real meat. And the shoestring fries are addicting. I would smother the entire box of fries in their agave-mustard sauce if it wouldn't get me some looks. There's very few parking and it's right off Mills so it's a busy street. You order inside but eat outside. I didn't know what was on the menu until I arrived and I was a little underwhelmed. I thought there would be more options but it's a single or double patty burger, fries or loaded fries and then things to drink. The food was good. Burger to bun ratio was off but I think if you order the double, it may be a better bet. The plant style fries are delicious and size wise, fine to share with another person . Lots of flavour and crispy thin fries are a perfect blend. It's only outside seating, but if you're bringing you pups, that works out but they could definitely use a fan or two out there because although shaded, it's hot out there during these crazy humid Florida spring/summer months. They had a few Alcoholic options(beer/wine/seltzer) and the porch has a filtered water and cups to self serve. Their meat is advertised as 'impossible meat' so if you've had that and love it, they definitely prepare it right:). I also enjoyed their pickles! You need to get right with the idea of parting with at least $20 for a single patty burger, fries, and a beverage before you visit Plantees. For a plant-based burger, my first ever, I found it tasty and the bun was very fresh. The shoestring fries were good and I'm glad I went with the BBQ Ranch dipping sauce. Fortunately, they don't charge you for the dipping sauce...yet. This charming little venue - you have no choice but to sit outside or take it to go - is a welcome addition to Mills Avenue and shortly after I arrived it seemed to flood with eager, hungry patrons. Their official opening is 5/2/22 and I understand their goal will be to open at least 3 more Plantees in the area. I can only imagine how much business they do on a Friday or Saturday night. Today, Sunday, I was a little bummed because they'd literally sold out of milkshakes. I also understand they are looking to purchase more seating in the way of giant bean bags to accommodate what will likely be a loyal following. Someone soon is going to figure out Plantees would make a great spot for a private event and rent this place out for a few hours. I would visit again, just not too often. Good vegan junk food! I'm glad I tried this place, it was the only vegan option open at midnight! Wayyyy too expensive though :( definitely a treat if there's literally nothing open. I wish I could come here more often to support but the prices are honestly crazy for what you get. Definitely worth franchising. The first thing I thought when I left this place was how many of these exist already and how do I get in?? I've had my share of plant based and traditional beef burgers from everywhere in town and this one was one of my favorites. Ended up getting the lettuce wrap because it was lunch time and I didn't want to fall asleep. Super fresh, great flavor and barely could tell it wasn't beef. Much less grease than the double on lettuce I've gotten at shake shack. I also opted for the kale salad which had great flavor and a decent portion. Reading some of these other reviews I'd have to agree that it's slightly pricey for how much you get but on the flip side ... if you want to maintain the best fresh product, that's simply going to cost more. I'd rather pay more and never be disappointed than pay a little less and have a variance of quality in product and service. Honestly really delicious food, the only disappointing thing would be the higher price but with that being said you do pay for what you get! You can taste the fresh ingredients and I never feel bloated and sick like I do when I eat traditional burgers and fast foodesque meals. They offer seasonal shake flavors which are always delicious.
