A part of Halls on 5th, soulicious vegan kitchen delivers a delicious collection of veggie filled treats. They have healthier options but don't think this is going to be light treat. The sliders mimic fried chicken and this is country soul food. That said, this place doesn't miss. It's amazing and the meals are always delicious. The combo cost around $20 and left me full full full. The staff is always helpful and you can tell they care about the food. Pro tip. Get multiple sauces for the slider. The Mac and cheese and kale salad sides paired well with the meal. This space is stunning and a needed space in apopka. Lots of seating both in and outdoors. If you're thirsty there is a bar. Fantastic! Who knew oyster mushrooms could be SO delicious? Soulicious is also home of my new favorite macaroni and cheese. Nestled in Halls on 5th, this wonderful vegan kitchen is a must try. This was my first visit and I cannot wait to return. NOTE: They are moving to a bigger counter soon. Highly recommend the Chick'n Sandwich Meal meal two sides. The order tablet is a bit finicky, but the staff are super friendly and helped me figure out how to order. Soulicious Vegan Kitchen is a hidden gem inside Hall's on 5th in Apopka. The fried oyster-mushroom "chicken" was incredibly crispy outside while remaining juicy and tender inside. Even someone who doesn't normally eat vegan food could enjoy it. The creamy mac and cheese and flavorful collard greens were perfect soul-food sides, and the barbecue jackfruit sliders had a surprisingly convincing pulled-pork texture. Portions were satisfying, everything was seasoned well, and the staff was genuinely warm and helpful. I loved this locally owned business housed in the Halls on 5th. If you haven't been here you should check it out! There are different theme nights with specials. The food hall was nice and clean and well appointed itself. I ordered at the monitor with ease. Since I was the first customer of the day and it was pretty quiet, I chatted a little bit with one of the owners who communicated the passion behind what he and his wife do (own Soulicious). It is my understanding that they started as a pop up and, based on my assessment, they are really rocking the food scene in Apopka now! It was difficult to choose from the very enticing menu options. I decided on tacos because they sounds intriguing. My tacos were bursting with flavor and healthy ingredients. I loved them! I also was very temped to try their Mac and cheese which I was told was cashew based but decided to come later to try as I wasn't that hungry. This is located in Hall's on 5th food hall in Apopka. The venue is clean and welcoming. Casual spot for hanging out with friends or perhaps a casual date. I ordered the bbq sliders made with oyster mushrooms. My food was ready on time and the staff was helpful and made sure I had what I needed. All of the components of the sliders were seasoned well and made for an enjoyable bite with a good crunch on the breaded oyster mushrooms. Please note that I don't even like mushrooms but these were still enjoyable for me. The sauces were yummy too. I have been wanting to visit Halls on 5th when I found out about this vegan restaurant for a while. I finally dragged my husband with me . Went in where there was possibly an outside event going on. The music was extremely blaring not the fault of Soulicious Vegan of course . Well let's get to the food- arrived for the first time and observed a large iPad like self service option to place my order. While placing the order , we were greeted my a male. Continued to browse the menu in which the male then asked what we planned to order . Voiced we weren't aware yet and continued to browse. Finally selected our meals and was told we can have a seat as we will receive a message when our order was ready. After sometime , order was ready in which we walked back and picked up our order to go home. Upon arrival immediately noticed an error in our order. I received collard greens which I don't eat so I didn't even try it. My husband ate it instead just because we paid for it and we don't believe in throwing food away . The Mac and cheese was okay. The brisket (jackfruit) I ordered was not my favorite- my husband ate it instead. Yes , what I don't like he eats- lol. Husband ordered , BBQ chicken sliders (oyster mushrooms) which I ate instead and deeply enjoyed!! His side fries were shared, for us was a seasoned just slightly with too much salt but it was still yummy and freshly made! All in all I would visit again, to give them another try and try the rest of their menu but I definitely will check my order before leaving. read more

This was our first time trying Soulicious Vegan Kitchen and babyyyyy--we were blown away! I ordered my husband the Hot Honey Chick'n Sandwich combo, and when I tell you that fried mushroom "chick'n" was bursting with flavor? Whew! Perfectly crispy, tender, and seasoned to the soul. The Mac n cheese was creamy and comforting, and the collards? Just like Grandma used to make. The customer service was outstanding--he helped me decide on the order and was so detailed in explaining the ingredients. Now I'm mad I didn't order myself a plate too! This restaurant is located inside the Halls on 5th in downtown Apopka. This was my first time ever trying vegan food. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, greens and macaroni and cheese. (The fried chicken meal was sold out.) The chicken sandwich is made with mushrooms. It has pickles and a kale salad on it and is on a whole wheat bun. The consistency was not like chicken but is very crunchy and good in its own right just a tad bit salty for me. The macaroni and cheese tasted good but not creamy enough for me. The green were too salty for me I couldn't eat them. The experience did give me a better impression of vegan food than I had anticipated. The food was more expensive than I expected but I understand that it's a specialty. read more

I tried the hot honey (agave) lemon pepper wings with collard greens and mac n cheese. BA-BY... let me tell you, it was bussin' bussin!!! The flavor was absolutely amazing, the texture was on point, and I was completely satisfied. The hot honey lemon pepper wings had some heat, but weren't too hot. The collard greens were flavorful and tender. The mac n cheese was the best vegan version I've ever tried. My sister had the Island Jerk Fries, and I will be coming back for my own plate next time! The fries were perfectly cooked, the Jerk was spicier than the hot honey wings, but not unbearably so. We met the owner, Tiffany, and her husband (I forgot to get his name). They were extremely nice and accommodating of my sister's food allergies and modified her order. The restaurant has a fun and inviting vibe. There are games for the kiddos and the kids at heart, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is in the back of the restaurant. BEWARE OF HARASSMENT AND DISRESPECT!!Terrible and degrading customer service from "Soulicious Vegan"/ "A Lo Vegano" ... I've never felt so degraded and uncomfortable as a customer and a woman in an establishment. The two men behind the counter completely ruined our experience and were SO disrespectful and rude. As soon as I walk in, the guy working is calling me out saying I'm "disrespectful" for walking in with a Iced Latte that I bought from another place.... He kept repeatedly saying "the disrespect, the disrespect, the disrespect" and it was not a joke, they were being dead serious. Both men kept repeatedly harassing me saying that they sell coffee here, in front of everyone making me feel like I was a terrible person because I got a coffee from somewhere else. If they only knew I drove 2 hours to get here to eat and support this establishment.. then, the guy "accidentally" drops our to go order on the ground and didn't even apologize. THEN before we walk out with our food, they say "Anyone who walks in with sunglasses inside can't be trusted"... WOW. Who the hell is that comfortable being THAT rude to people let alone someone running a restaurant? Just know after this, I'll NEVER be back.
