Hole in the wall mom and pop shop with some of the best vegan food in Orlando. I will always ride for Veggie Garden.

I forgot the name of this, but it was a tasty tofu based fried roll.

Absolutely delicious vegan food served by sweet ladies. There were so many choices, it was hard to make a decision, but we were very happy with our pho, spring rolls, and the other items we ordered. We liked the window seats that faced out to a small courtyard. Not a lot of room to eat there, but we were able to be seated immediately on a Sunday afternoon.

I almost hate to write a review here because this restaurant is the very definition of a "hole in the wall." There are only five small tables and it is very basic. But, as mostly plant-based people (we eat vegetarian or even pescatarian sometimes when we eat out) this is probably our favorite place to visit for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We have been visiting for years and have never had anything that was less than delicious of the many items we have tried. The food is very imaginative and, we believe, authentic Vietnamese vegan cuisine. Recently, we tried their "Tet Special" and #27. We also always get a sampler of their appetizers as well. Now we have two new favorites. Check out their menu if you want the details, but the food is even more tasty than it looks.

My friend recently became vegetarian, and we were looking for new places to eat. I have always seen it for years while going to the other restaurants but never thought to stop by until recently. As soon as I came in, I was welcomed by the owner. She had a list of recommendations and also gave us a free bao for coming in to support her business. The Bun Hue was surprisingly my favorite. I thought that since there wasn't a beef broth base, it would lack flavor and depth, but it was quite the opposite. It had the essence of Bun Bo Hue and the depth but with a different taste since it is veggie based. I would not recommend fried rice. The rice was soggy, and the spam substitute had a weird aftertaste. The bao, on the other hand, was worth it. The bao was soft, and the filling was juicy and filled to the brim. I was surprised by the amount of options that Veggie Garden provided. Though I haven't been able to go back, it is definitely one of my favorite restaurants for vegetarian and vegan options.

It's hard to find this place. Food options are pretty much good. I did not dine in. I just ordered ready-made food. Ordered the jackfruit and eggplant dish to go. It was tasty. The jackfruit was on the saltier side. It's pretty quiet place.

Tasty decent vegan bun bo hue. Reminiscent of my childhood in some ways. First time eating food like this without family around makes things all the more appreciative.

I went through a two-month vegan phase recently (yes, prompted by "The Game Changers"), and found myself almost exclusively eating at home, as vegan restaurant fare in Orlando didn't appeal for the most part. One exception was Veggie Garden, where I came for the Bun Hue a handful of times. I loved the flavors, the textures, and the spiciness of the dish, and was impressed by how much flavor depth they were able to create without fish sauce or beef stock. Also, the people running the restaurant are very friendly, and the little courtyard patio is a nice place to eat and relax. Will I return now that I'm no longer eating vegan? Maybe not as often, but definitely.

Veggie garden is an Orlando hidden gem. It is a modest, barebones restaurant, and smells so good inside. With all vegan items and plenty of gluten-free options, it is an amazing place for dietary needs. The owner was very accommodating, explaining what had gluten and what did not. The food came out pretty quickly. The food was flavorful, fresh, and affordable. I really enjoyed the fresh roll, and I still dream of their fantastic chili garlic topping (pictured here). We got the fresh rolls, vermicelli, and buddha bowl. After ordering, I had major FOMO (fear of missing out) and if I could do it again, I would choose the multi-entree option, where you pick up to 3 different entrees to mix. Honestly, I wanted to try everything on the menu. I was particularly fond of their pickled daikon (comes on the side). The food in their deli case also looks very good and you can order their many vegan proteins, sides, and sauces to-go. Thank you for a delicious meal, and I will be back very soon! Gluten-free note: apparently the soy sauce is all gluten-free but they re-used the old containers on the tables so it looks like regular soy sauce. Not sure how that works for those who are super sensitive, but from other reviews it does not seem to be an issue.

Vegan Vietnamese. Small home style restaurant. Visited for the Lunar New Year. Very kind service and food came out quick. Enjoyed the summer rolls and spring rolls for appetizers. We enjoyed the fried rice, the soy ribs with noodle and my husband tried the 3 item combo- shiitake mushrooms (delicious), sautéed eggplant with ginger, and teriyaki seitan. There were a few other items that I would like to try next time. The vegetable broth that came with the three item combo was delicious! If that is the pho broth then bring it on

We started with the crispy chicken dumplings--crispy on the outside with a juicy, tender chicken filling. Perfect way to kick things off. We continued with three items: Beef Stew (Bún Bò Kho), Orange Chicken, and Sautéed Cubed Beef "Shaking Beef" (Cơm Bò Lúc Lắc). The Beef Stew (Bún Bò Kho) was heaven on a dish. The beef stew was easily the standout--rich, flavorful, and the beef was so tender it practically melted in your mouth. The vermicelli noodles were just as impressive. Just reminiscing about it makes my mouth water. The "Shaking Beef" was served over white rice (highly recommend), and every bite was better than the last. The garlic butter sauce really takes it over the top. Don't be fooled by the Orange Chicken--Boneless chicken, fried perfectly and coated in their authentic sweet orange sauce. The best Orange Chicken in town, hands down. No chance of leftovers here--you won't want to put your fork down.

The exterior and interior both follow the same black and white illustrated design style. The only thing missing was the chairs not being outlined as well, because that would've tied the theme together even more. Lots of parking available. Ordering is done at the counter before being seated. Service was friendly, and teachers get a complimentary drink with their entrée. I ordered the Black Ox noodle soup, which costs $28 and is tied with the short rib pho as the most expensive pho option on the menu. The bowl only comes in one size. It included sliced beef, beef brisket, and two pieces of oxtail, one large and one small. The oxtail was very tender and fell off the bone easily although I wish I had more oxtail since two of the pieces were bone only. The brisket was also well cooked and flavorful. Noodles were on the firm side and I wish the broth was a lot more hotter. On the side they provide bean sprouts, jalapeños, basil leaves, and two lime wedges. I also tried the Thai iced tea. It was a bit too sweet for my preference, so I wasn't able to finish it. They have one family washroom and one regular washroom available. Wooden chopsticks are provided, and plastic forks are available too. The food was solid, especially the oxtail, though the pricing does lean on the expensive side.
