What an unexpected and delightful experience!…read more From the moment I walked into Pho Akaushi, I felt as though I had been transported to France. The garden-inspired décor is beautiful and visually inviting, and each table has its own little Eiffel Tower glass filled with colored sand. The restaurant was immaculate, bright and welcoming. We were seated at a table for two by the front window, which was perfect. We could look out over the lake and fountain while doing a little people-watching as we enjoyed our meal. They also have charming garden-like outdoor seating, and I can definitely see myself dining outside once the Florida temperatures cool down! When we entered, we were promptly greeted by Isabelle, who told us she is from Paris. She explained that they pay very close attention to detail and take pride in using the finest-quality ingredients. After eating here, I believe her! My husband ordered the Wagyu Steak Slices & Meatballs Dynasty Pho, and he was extremely pleased. There was a generous amount of meat, accompanied by wonderfully fresh vegetables. Everything looked and tasted incredibly fresh. I ordered the Akaushi Pho King Banh Mi, and WOW! The sandwich was loaded with tender brisket and crisp, fresh vegetables. The accompanying broth adds almost a "French dip" experience to the sandwich--but calling it a French dip doesn't begin to do it justice. The combination was so much better than any traditional French dip I've ever had. And the bread! The texture was exactly what I hoped for and reminded me of bread I've enjoyed in Paris. Between the bread, the décor and our conversation with Isabelle, the experience brought back some wonderful memories of France while still delivering the flavors of an exceptional Vietnamese meal. This is one of those restaurants where you finish eating and immediately start thinking about what you're going to order next time. We will absolutely return. I've already decided that my next visit will involve exploring their French menu and I have my eye on the quiche! Beautiful atmosphere, exceptionally fresh ingredients, generous portions and a wonderful welcome. Pho Akaushi has definitely earned a place on our return list!

The restaurant was pretty empty but started getting more guests a little bit later. Our waitress greeted us and brought over waters. She also asked if we had any allergies that the kitchen should be aware of which was great. We started with the Shrimp Summer Rolls which was fresh, light, and paired with a delicious peanut sauce. My friend had the Pork Banh Mi and loved it, though she found it quite spicy with the jalapeños at times. I had the Grilled Chicken Vermicelli Bowl and it was amazing - lots of flavor depth, perfectly cooked noodles, and great freshness. It was definitely the best vermicelli bowl I've ever had. Also, I always look at the menu before heading to a restaurant and thought it was important to note that the menu on their website is slightly different than the menu in person. I didn't notice anything removed, but they definitely had some more French-inspired items on the in person menu (quiche, croissants, mussels, etc.). I'd recommend for the business to update their online menu! Or you'll just have to head in to see for yourself :) I completely forgot to take a photo of it‍ The decor is a bit all over the place, but the restaurant has an overall warm vibe. The waitress seemed to know many of the customers and was sweet to package up my food for me when we were finished. You pay up at the front as well rather than at your table. I'm excited to come back and try some more items!

I was waiting for this place to open and finally tried it. It's a little pricey here. The tonkotsu…read moreramen had good flavor, but there just wasn't enough meat. I got maybe two small pieces in a $15 bowl. For that price, I'd rather just go to an actual ramen shop. This place is near Mills, so there are plenty of better options nearby. The broth itself was food so I'd be down to order it separately next time and add my own toppings. I ordered the coconut slush with crystal pearls and coconut jelly. I wish there had been an option to skip the jelly, but it wasn't bad. If you like coconut, you'll probably enjoy the drink. It was a little sweet for my tastebuds even at 25% sweetness. You order at a kiosk and wait for them to call you. I was the only customer inside and it took less than 7 minutes for my food to come up. I love fast service and the employees were nice. The inside is very cute and has tables to sit down but I took mine to go this time. Overall not bad for a quick bite.

Lots of things to enjoy, with a few improvements needed…read more The good: - The tea options here are fantastic! I loved my Peach Oolong with Crystal Boba. They have tons of options and a variety of teas to choose from. - My Match and Red Bean egg waffle was perfect -- chewy and soft on the sinuses, crispy on the outside. The flavors worked well together, and it was the right level of sweetness. - The building is new and interior feels bright and vibrant. I love the open kitchen look; and there's ample seating space for large groups and families. Areas of improvement: - The crunch on the wings was great; and the chicken was tender and juicy. BUT the flavor of the batter was a bit lacking; and I would've enjoyed the wings more if the sauce was evenly tossed onto the wings instead of just the drizzle. - Overall, the flavor of the entrees is something I think they can improve at Michi. My ramen broth had weak flavor and lacked depth; and my husband's hibachi was also lacking in flavor as well. Everything was just kinda bland (though I will say the spice level was great for my broth; it just lacked oomph). Service was good! We were seated right away, orders were taken, and we got our food quickly. Our waitress checked on us several times. I know they just opened, so there are probably a few kinks to work out. But I'm excited they're here and will definitely be back for the teas and the egg puff waffles

The 5X Spicy chicken was pretty spicy and the sauce was good. The chicken was a mixed bag though, some was tender and some was tough. Same with the Tokyo chicken. It was packed over the rice, so if you like your rice plain for leftovers, maybe order a side. The sides available are not your typical asian sides. We tried the cucumber salad (good with nice spice), glass noodles, tomato and egg, and the cabbage. They were OK, but nothing earth shattering. The cucumber salad is cold, and when packed with the rest of the piping hot food, was actually kind of gross. Warm Cucumbers? No thanks. I guess the most telling part was the leftovers in the fridge. They sat until garbage night as they just seemed unappealing to eat again, which isn't typical of leftover asian food in the fridge. They have some other items that look appealing, so it may be worth another try.
