Tonight I had the Hot honey Harvest bowl that came along with sweet potato pieces, moist braised chicken and Mikes Hot honey Goat cheese. Wow this bowl just hits the spot with so much taste. The Hot honey Goat cheese is the winner in this dish. If you are in the mood for a fantastic salad lunch or dinner Just Salad is the spot. I will be coming back to keep on going down the list and trying every bowl they have. You are able to create your own masterpiece if there isn't anything that grabs you off of their pre fix menus. I've only been to one Just Salad location located in Gainesville, Florida and I was obsessed. I love the different sizes of the bowls as well as the premade salads, and the fact that you can make your own salad. The prices are reasonable, and all of the ingredients are extremely fresh. They have some of the best arugula and red cabbage lettuce that I've ever had in my life. Make sure you try the quinoa as well. It's been a while since I've been here. The price isn't too bad. About $13 for a BYO salad with tofu is pretty good! The portion size was decent. I created a BYO salad, but wasn't guided on how many/ what items were included. The service was a bit mediocre in that aspect. The other location in Waterford was more helpful and engaging. In practice, Just Salad is much like other fast casual places that you walk alongside plexiglass and choose your ingredients. Or, you can choose a preset bowl or wrap of a base, sides, and protein. The space is bright and clean. Beverages are available - kombucha, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks. Real porcelain bowls are used if dining in-house. Two napkins and a plastic fork are also provided. The first time my wife and I chose JS for a meal, the whole experience was very good. This most recent visit, however, was a 180 difference apart from the lovely food. Since we chose to build our own bowl, we needed to communicate our selections and it was challenging. Additionally, we were overcharged as we later found out on the digital receipt. My conversation with one of the employees after I was finished eating helped me to better understand the pricing structure of the ingredients, but I still found it a bit confusing. Wow. This place is a hidden gem. The salads were amazing. Sorry forgot to take pictures but trust me so good. We wanted to try something new for lunch and happened to find this place. Walking in the place was nice and clean and the service was a little chaotic at first but I did show up at lunch rush. I got the southwest crunch salad. Full of flavor and the dressing was top notch. This is my second visit. My first was part of a yelp elite pass. I received the same service, quality and portions as my original visit. I have a membership to the dry bar next door for bi-weekly services and plan to visit Just Salad at minimum twice a month. The braised chicken thigh is so delicious. I've had it in the harvest salad as well as the Cesar so far. I plan to sample them all. Parking is around back and the earlier the better. Weekends are hard for the parking but it's worth it. Very filling and lots of variety. The restaurant is clean and quiet. Great place to read while relaxing with a healthy bite to eat. read more

We were looking forward to coming back to Just Salad after trying it out during a Yelp event earlier this year. I decided to order the same meal as before, the Warm Chicken and Goat Cheese Salad ($12) because it was so darn good. This time around the young lady working wasn't really friendly and was more frugal with the ingredients especially the chicken and mushrooms. The other issue was the chicken wasn't warm or juicy at all. Don't get me wrong the salad was still delicious but lacking compared to my previous experience. Nancy picked out a special salad for the month and she was happy with her salad but she said the bread that was served with the salad was room temp and dried out. Our two salads cost about $30 with tax and tip. It's a bit pricey for two salads especially if you want to add on any extra toppings like the crunchy wontons, which were about .70 cents more. We came here for a second time the first time we came for a Yelp event so I was looking forward to coming back and having more salad. Second experience was a little lackluster. I had a specialty salad with chicken and several other toppings it was actually pretty good. She gave me several dressings to choose from. But the bread that came with it was dried out and I did not eat it. My husband ordered the Warm chicken and goat cheese salad. The last time you got it it was phenomenal. This time not so much. The chicken was dried out and not juicy and he didn't get a large amount of toppings like last time. The two salads came to $30 with a tip and we did not get a drink. I ordered the crispy honey chicken wrap and subbed out for poblano ranch and first broccoli instead of honey mustard and fried onions respectively; totally worth it to me to make those subs. My partner got a buffalo chicken salad and had no complaints at all. Service was top notch to me as well, servers knew what they were talking about with recommendations (like how much dressing is too much?) also the wraps themselves are only 2 net carbs if you have to be cognizant of that and still taste really good in my opinion. The one drawback to this place is the parking situation. It is awful. Mentally prepare yourself for people stalking you for spaces and people parking in handicap spaces for "grabbing food quickly" while having no regard for people who actually need it. read more

Added sliced beets, pepporchini, feta, and chick peas and cucumbers. Their house balsamic dressing was great. This was a total lunch win! I loved being able to try a new food spot! I loved mostly that this was a healthy and unique treat. So many great things about this restaurant. The business itself was clean, well organized, and functional. The food was fresh, fast, and delicious! I opted to try the seasonal mushroom bbq bowl and I was impressed with the protein and imaginative combination. The colors were vibrant and made the dish so much more appealing! I had my dressing on the side which I assume would have added an extra flavor if thoroughly marinated as it was meant to be. The cookie dessert was baked fresh and you could tell! You can tell they source fresh ingredients and take pride in the quality of their food. What really stood out to me was the cleanliness of the restaurant both in the dining area and behind the line. It's always great to see an organized and clean work surface and storage placements for the food being made. I would like to recognize Angel, the store manager and his team for making my experience stellar. I was amazed to learn of the company and core resources for the restaurant. Not the review i was expecting to leave, since i have been waiting to try Just Salad for a while. This is my honest opinion, when you walk in, first thing i noticed was the establishment is clean and it wasn't busy. (Side note, there's plenty of parking in the back) The menu is extensive, which is nice. However, the portions are pretty small, and the rice felt under cooked, plus you get one little piece of chicken on the bowl. The food did have a good flavor to it though. So, while my experience was not what i expected, i wouldn't mind going back if I'm not actually super hungry and just need a quick bite. read more

The restaurant advertises itself as a healthy spot to eat, but one look at the ingredients they use and you'll leave. Unfortunately I didn't want to interrupt the guy making my wrap but the moment I saw the chicken he was going to use I was repulsed. They use the cheapest "chicken" strips available, it's the same source as subways "chicken". The "chicken" is about 10% chicken, and mostly potato starch and water. If you took one of these strips and cut it in half you want see strands of muscle fibers, you'll see ground goo that's been cooked. For $12.77 I expect much better quality food. This is my first visit to Just Salad and I love everything salad! You can choose a menu salad or you can build your own salad which was my option because I love what I love! The salads are huge and fresh! My base was kale and all the great toppings, but I was wishing they had beans to add as I'm not a big meat eater but just as good! The ranch dressing was homemade (that's how I like it) but they had a variety of options. I sat outside on their small patio to car & people watch lol. The patio was clean. The parking lot was clean and spacious. The inside was clean as were the bathrooms. I asked the unfriendly guy behind the counter who looked like he'd rather be anywhere but making the salad, how much dressing goes on it. I didn't want dressing with a side of salad (too much dressing is never a good thing!). As he was putting the ingredients into the salad bowl, he said I could get it one the side. Huh, that's not really the experience though. When it came time to put the "homemade" balsamic dressing on the salad, I opted for the experience and asked for light dressing. Apparently, there's light, medium, or heavy. The light option was a thick ring around the bowl (maybe 2 tablespoons or more of dressing). The balsamic is thick (looked as thick as mayo from across the counter) so less is more in general (imo). Overall, the layout of the store is confusing. There's a rear and front entrance. The flow of customers gets mixed up. If there's a to go order, the in store order line is in the way of the to go front person coming in to grab their food. The service was also slow and took longer than usual to make on overly dressed salad. Their dedication to the environment and recycling is a plus. This was the best part of the experience. You can reuse your bowl or they offer composted to go bowls. I'd wait a bit longer before returning until operations are sorted out. Kudos to Just Salad for helping the environment. read more

The shop is new with plenty of inside and outside seating. You have the choice of ordering from a preset menu or build your own salad.
