The options are usually pretty good on the bar, I wish there were protein options INCLUDED in the salad bar, like diced chicken or ham, instead of an up charge for them. They have a new dill pickle pasta salad which was tasty. The mini muffins are always moist and delicious. Can't go wrong with hummus on the side either. The Hibiscus Tea is our favorite for sure. I got catering from this Jason's one day recently, for my employees. It was their profession's appreciation week, so I wanted to get them a little something each day of the week. Jason's Deli had neat little boxes that had a sandwich, a side, some sort of dessert, and of course a pickle spear inside. That was perfect. What was even more perfect is that they had a vegetarian option for a couple of my veggie staff members. That's very appreciated. Service was good. The food was ready at the appointed time, the people were very friendly, and everything was packaged well and very convenient for me to get back to work. As for the food, it was just as expected. That Jason's Deli standard quality is very nice. Good, soft, hearty bread. Deli meat that isn't low quality or slimy. A good amount of fresh, crisp veg. We haven't been here in years. We really wanted a good salad and were not disappointed. The service was friendly and efficient. I had the Mesa Chicken Salad, small. It was plenty of food for me. The jalapeño ranch dressing was excellent. My husband chose the Chef Salad, large. One negative--the ice cream tasted artificial. So much so, my husband couldn't finish it. We were first customers today for lunch. Salad bar was fresh with variety items. I'd Ultimate BLT Bowl and my husband had Roast Beef sandwich. I had self made avocado flatbread toast from my salad bowl and it was amazing. If you asked the person behind a counter, they'll give you a small plate for bread. I always get excited when I'm near Orlando cause I get to stop and eat here. All of their food and I mean all of it is delicious. I always ordered the all you can eat salad bar. No one has a salad bar like this place does. It has so much stuff like bell peppers, whole boiled eggs, 4 different types of lettuces to chose from plus spinach and so much more. They even have a small bread bar that has two types of mini muffins. One is a corn bread and a sweet one at the and the other is a brown mini muffin almost like a sweet bean. My wife and ordered two manager's special's and got our chips and sandwich halves to go; eating the fresh buffet salad. There were multiple empty buffet containers such as no broccoli, eggs, tomatoes, or sliced mushrooms. There were unbussed tables everywhere and when we asked for someone to resupply the salad buffet it took 5-10 min for someone to come out. The lady who came out was not happy. She started slinging things around and muttered something about being on break. As we were leaving a man finally came out and started bussing tables. There is nothing as disgusting as eating in the midst of piles of old, dirty dishes and picking through a salad buffet with lots of missing ingredients to assemble the best you can do with what you have. We should have left, but as you know, your system requires up front payment before you get your food. Sadly, it will be a long time, if ever, before we return. What happened to Jason's? Came here as a delievery staff picking up an order just now. 3 staff members are congregating behind the register and after 5 minutes waiting for assistance to pick up I saw a dishwasher guy picking up dishes from the tables I asked him if the order was ready or even if they had the order. Food is consistently excellent here. We generally love everything we get although their muffulettas are so incredibly good that we usually default to that. They are huge sandwiches at a very reasonable price. Tried their chocolate mousse last time and it was high-end restaurant quality without the exorbitant price. Staff taking your order at register can be lackluster with no smile and just "civil"..... no real effort made. Although staff at take-out counter generally more pleasant and interactive. One of my pet peeves are order-takers who seem unhappy with having to deal with customers. Have never had an incomplete take-out order at Jason's. Will def go back again and again. read more

After having driving around searching for a some place different than usual for quick & tasty place to eat distant from home from the doctor visit, we happened to stumbled across this place, and boy, we were SO GLAD to did a "Double Take" and gambled on this joint!! What impressed us the most were how crowed the parking lot was, with more people pulling up, while most others nearby were barely any cars parking around, this was our first signal that this place MUST BE good, huh!! Then we found how spacious & immaculately clean this place was, upon entering the eatery. Plus, the staff were friendly, polite, and helpful with guiding us through our "1st Time" with the ordering. Made us both feeling welcomed, and not burdened, like how some others tend to behave that way at times. After seeing the freshness of all the items at the "Salad Bar" as we were waiting in line to order, Wife said, "That's, what I want and it's been a loooong time!", and I took the Rueben Sandwich with the chips. Whew, the sandwich was beyond the expectations for the Central Florida areas (Watch out Too Jay's), the loaded meats were soft, juicy, and not salty. The sauerkraut on top of the loaded meats really complimented well. For sure, this is my favorite joint note for future Reuben sandwiches from here on out, aside from the Katz Deli in the NYC for the BEST there is!! We recently came here with a few friends, and had a decent experience. Upon arriving there was a lot of parking, and both indoor and outdoor seating areas. The restaurant itself was not crowded, but there were a good handful of people there. Their menu had a lot of sandwiches, salads and soups to pick from. I got a chicken pesto sandwich, and my husband got something similar to an roast beef sandwich and au jus dip. Overall the food portions were okay, and the flavor was also okay. Not the best but also not the worst sandwich either one of us has ever had. One personal concern of mine was cleaning practices. There were a lot, like more than 5, tables that had plates, napkins, cups from previous people just sitting on tables. They seemed a bit slow to come around and clean tables up. I noticed a few times the person bussing tables just wiping crumbs onto the floor and wiping the table/booth seats down with just a towel. As someone who works with people with allergies often, this was alarming to me as there was no sanitation spray/cleaner being used. I saw the bottle on their cart but they were not spraying it on tables. While something like this likely wouldn't affect me, it is concerning for those who might have allergies as they aren't properly cleaning the tables. A few members of our group at the end of our meal also went to get ice cream, as they offer this for free. The machine was not working properly, so only vanilla was available. Unfortunately the vanilla was super runny, and not frozen at all. Because of this it turned into more of a mess with ice cream slipping off cones, which was more of a hassle than it was worth. The service was good as usual and the sandwiches were very good. However, the free ice cream was terrible! In the past, the ice cream has been soft and creamy. The chocolate was a light brown color and the vanilla was a light white colors. But this time, the chocolate was a very dark brown and the vanilla was yellow-white. The taste was very icy, almost like it was think Italian ice instead of ice cream. In previous visits, I would get 3 or 4 ice cream, but this time, I only got 1 because the taste was so poor. I wonder if the restaurant changed the formula for the ice cream and turned into Italian ice. So if you like their sandwiches or salad, those are the same. But if you come for the soft and creamy ice cream, then maybe wait until their change their formula back. read more

Been meaning to stop in for a while. Finally got to swing in on lunch. Favorite part of Jasons deli is the salad bar so I was eager to see how they would handle it with the restrictions. So of course they're taking all the precautions, social distancing at tables and hand sanitizers throughout. Theres one way in line once you order the food you go down the line and there is a staff member that assist you with your salad selection. outside of that they bring you your order. I came here for lunch with my friend who lives in the area. She told me this place was fairly new, and I had eaten at a Jason's Deli in Jacksonville before, so I was familiar with the chain. This Jason's is located next to a Whole Foods, has plenty of parking, and is in a new stand alone building. We arrived in the middle of lunch, and only had a short wait to order. I ordered the club Royale and fruit salad with yogurt dip. The bread was a flaky croissant and the cheese was melted just right. It was delicious! Our food came out shortly after our order. The fruit was a nice variety of berries, not the usual mixed melon with an occasional pineapple. They also offer a vegetarian, gluten free, and sodium conscious menu. Jason's Deli has you take a number when you order and your food is delivered to your table when it's ready. Drinks are self serve and they offer a variety of flavored teas and fountain drinks. I waited almost a week to place this review. I want to say ahead of time I do not need a reply from Jason's Deli because I don't plan on going again. I used to frequent the Jason's on Colonial but that one closed permanently. My friend planned for months to meet at the location in Altamonte Springs. Went in cashier was very nice no issue with that. I had The New York Yankee sandwich and the salad bar. I went to the rest room could barely fit in the stall and I'm of petite size. the larger stall was out of order. I let that go, whatever. The restaurant had a strong musty smell and there were dirty dishes throughout the restaurant. I had half the sandwich, which was delicious, the meat was fresh and tasty. The issue I think is the salad bar. When I got home it started with the tummy ache, bloated, then the cold sweats. I had to even my breathing because I felt like I was in a plastic bubble and was got really weak almost felt like I was going to pass out from the nausea. When I finally made it to the bathroom I went from excessive puking to excessive diarrhea. It felt like I got food poisoning. I wouldn't wish that feeling on my worst enemy. The Jason's on Colonial, the one that closed permanently, was always spotless and the food was outstanding. What happened guys? U have no idea how disappointed I am. Today we ordered the Lighted Big Chef Salad $6.79, Turkey Wrap with a side of fruit $7.19, and Shelley's Deli Chicken Salad sandwich on a croissant with a side of chips $7.09. The chicken salad has pineapple and nuts in it and is super tasty. The turkey wrap had salad greens, avocado, tomato, and ranch dressing on a wheat tortilla with a side of fruit. This is the second location I have visited at Jason's Deli. I am surprised at the amount of good reviews I see about this place. Maybe it's because I've never sat down and eaten at the physical location. I had the vegetable wrap sandwich box, and took it to go. This was the WORST vegetable wrap I ever had. If you typically order a vegetable wrap or sandwich, there are a couple of options you can expect: mushrooms, zucchini, eggplant, tomatoes, spinach, lettuce, cheese, etc. This wrap had maybe 1 full slice of a tomato and the rest was spinach, straight out of a bag. I could have gone to Publix and bought a bag of spinach and a whole wheat wrap to make this sandwich. I was so shocked and surprised by the lack of effort to create a substantial food item for somebody who wanted to eat a vegetarian meal. I was very disappointed. read more

Jason Deli has never disappointed. This last visit was no exception. I don't remember what time we arrived, but it was near a dinner hour. No crowd, and a nice helpful crew. One issue was that we were greeted right away and the gal said she'd give us a minute to look at the menu- then disappeared. We waited quite a long time to order. But that was minor. I got a roasted turkey on onion roll with bacon. And it was delicious. Big hearty amount and with the chips, it was perfect. The boy ordered a different turkey on sourdough bread (also with bacon) and loved it. He especially complimented the bread - tho I took a bite and felt it was a bit dry -. He loved it, so that's all that matters. The salad bar is open again and was tempting for sure, but the sandwich and chips were enough for me. Of course, my son's favorite part is the free ice cream cone for dessert. A staple in Jason's Deli forever! I only wish we had more Jason's Deli around my area.
