Overall, I really enjoyed the restaurant! It's located in an outside mall area with a couple of other restaurants nearby, and there is plenty of parking. Once you walk in there's a bakery section for all the desserts and baked goods they sell, which really helps with deciding on desserts. Service was pretty fast! The waitress we had was very nice, and she kept checking up on us throughout the meal. I really loved the loaded potato cakes! It's essentially thick hash browns cut into chunks and fried, with all the loaded potato ingredients on top! It was very filling and great for sharing. For the sandwiches, they're pretty good too. If you like Reuben, then their sandwiches are really good! The beef dip one was also super good! It includes a French onion soup dip that you can dip the sandwich into. The sandwich is a bit soggy from all the moisture from the beef and French onion soup, but if you're okay with that, you should be able to enjoy it like I did! The banana dream cake was super good too. Got it to go since the food was very filling but we wanted to try a cake. Amazing portions, desserts and service! It had been a really long time since I'd been here. It's still just as good as I remember it! This is located in a shopping area so it's nice that there is a parking lot to park in. It is diner style. Their spread of sides, meats and desserts is impressive! I had a turkey blt, French onion soup and chocolate layer cake. The French onion soup hit the spot on a cold day and tasted amazing. I'm a fan of soup in a little crock and it was chef's kiss! I tasted my friend's matzo ball soup and will definitely be getting that next time! The chocolate layer cake was so rich and delicious I ordered milk to drink with it! read more

Was at Too Jays Altamonte Springs tonight (2/14/26 ) the menu was impressive looking But getting wasn't ---- ahhhh we ordered 3 potato kinishs They were ice cold told waitress she said that sucks ( the waitress took off the bill ) 3 sandwiches 1 pastrami, 1 corn beef/pastrami combo, 1 roast beef and Swiss all 3 sandwiches we're ordered were supposed to be NY size If the 3 sandwiches served were NY size- shame on them they weren't!!! The pastrami was a bit fatty than would had preferred The roast beef was good but only 1 slice of Swiss when said to the waitress she said it comes with 1 slice anymore is .99 extra per slice if had know would've orders more cheese Coleslaw was good tiny pickle wasn't impressed with the onion rings that were supposed to be beer batter the fries not bad had a beer, ice tea and 3 cans of soda Had coffee had no taste needed a lot of sugar when if coffee is good 1 packet instead of 5 used I had hot chocolate tasted more of hot water than hot chocolate My son had a brownie it was hard not fresh Bit disappointed My bill was $100.45 and was disappointed I don't mind paying if I'm happy with my meal really wasn't but didn't take out on waitress gave her a $20.55 til for a total of $121.00 for bill and tip Would I go back maybe- maybe it was an off night To try again?????? I had an excellent dining experience for lunch at the Toojay's in Altamonte Springs today. The food was great as usual, but my experience was enhanced by my server Debbie. I had been here previously with Debbie as my server and she remembered my drink choice and promptly brought it out quickly. I really appreciated her remembering me from a previous visit. She also anticipates your needs as a guest and that does not happen frequently. She was assisted by Amanda who was in training and had a sunny disposition as well. Ordered to-go from GrubHub. Got the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and seasoned vegetables, with a Pepsi. The steak was good in portion and mashed potatoes could have been salted a little better. The seasoned vegetables were literally just carrots with a cinnamon finish. They also packed a Pepsi zero instead. Maybe the experience will be better if I dined in next time. read more

Sunday morning and we are at TooJay's Deli-Bakery -Restaurant the second customer in the door. Only one server was at work. She, Brandi was friendly and smiling. We were seated in a booth and asked what we wanted to drink. She brought our drinks and we placed our order. The pumpkin pancakes looked totally different from the ones I ordered here in October. They had pumpkin spread on top and in between each layer and were fluffy pancakes. Today they were skinny and did not have the spread on top or in between the layers. When I first moved to Florida, TooJay's Deli quickly became a regular stop for me. That particular TooJay's Deli (located in Waterford Lakes in Orlando, Florida) has since closed, so this was a great option for lunch as I was in the Altamonte Springs, Florida area right around lunch time. The staff here is friendly enough and it has a pleasant enough ambiance. My go-to has always been their reuben. While I would never compare it to some of the great reubens that I had in New Jersey or New York City, for Florida, their reuben sandwich is pretty solid. TooJay's Deli is a great option for deli style food and i would definitely recommend here. read more

Horrible experience today. The place was not busy and our food came out cold. Both my son and I loved seeing corned beef hash on the menu and also grits. A staple in our home. When the foods came out it was very cold and the eggs looked like they were poured out of a box. Taste was unbelievably horrible. Kids meals was pancakes and they tasted like raw eggs. Waitress was asked if she could provide plastic wear and she said yes. Walked away and never returned. We asked another waitress for the plastic wear and she literally went right behind our area and came back is seconds. Lupe was our waitress and not sure what she had going on but she was not very attentive. Will not be back to this place again as it was very expensive for breakfast when the food is subpar and the wait staff seems to not care. Would put zero stars but I have to add something. read more

This is one of our favorite local places for lunch. Though they also have dinner items available! We usually get take-out but sometimes we sit inside and the vibe is good in there. Good service and seating and has a homey feel that we like. We love the hot corned beef sandwiches and the matzo ball soup. The cake there is also slammmmin! I want to give the manager, Johnathon, a big shout out! Our order was wrong the last time we picked up food and didn't notice till we were all the way home. I called and spoke with the manager, Johnathon, and he was so kind and apologetic and made sure our order got replaced the next time we came in. I wish more managers handled issues like this!! Growing up in the northeast, I've had some really solid deli and the options feel few and far in between in central Florida. TooJays offers up all the classics that I know and love. Breakfast is always a neo scramble or lox bagel platter. Lunch and/or dinner looks like anything from a Rueben to a brisket sandwich. No matter what, I never leave dissatisfied. Especially with the array of baked goods in the window. I always indulge myself in a piece of cake, black & white, or some rugelach. All TooJays have a relaxed and casual setting. The Altamonte location is definitely my spot. Come in your loose fitting pants and a t-shirt! The servers are very friendly and attentive. They never let me run out of coffee! read more

I ordered catering from this location and had a mixed experience. I ordered the executive breakfast and added on a half pound of lox. The breakfast came with bagels, eggs, bacon, home fries, cream cheese, fruit, orange juice, and coffee. Initially when I ordered, they said they would email me a form that I would need to fill out for payment and a user agreement. I had to call again because I didn't receive it, but thankfully I got it when I followed up. When I arrived at my scheduled time for pick up, my order was not assembled. They only had one employee working up front, so it was not her fault, but I had to wait 20 minutes for her to get everything and help me out to my car. Thankfully I factored in time for delays, but this order was for work and I was nervous I'd be late if I had any more setbacks. When opening up the food, I felt the trays could have been fuller. While they specified that my order would feed 10, certain items were a little light such as the home fries. Four people ended up missing our meeting, so we had enough food. If all had attended, we would definitely need to be careful with portions. I feel like when calculating portion sizes, they should consider generous portion sizes so customers don't have to be too stringent with serving a group. The food was delicious and well packaged. The home fries and bagels were favorites. The price was decent enough. Overall, i would consider ordering catering here again, but there would be some things to consider. read more

I am so incredibly impressed and grateful that Too Jays is open on holidays and offers several pre-fix options. The individual dinner is a choice of ham or turkey and is served with cornbread stuffing, green beans with almonds, mashed potatoes and gravy, and cranberry sauce. The meal also comes with your choice of house or ceaser salad or chicken noodle soup or matzoh ball soup, as well as dessert: cheesecake or chocolate layer cake. The side of rye bread is a perfect touch and addition to the meal to truly complement it. The turkey is so delicious and tender, the potatoes excellent with a nice consistency and the gravy is well done. The green beans are served perfectly because they aren't overly cooked and have a nice crunch. The stuffing is really top notch made from cornbread and even better with extra gravy. For the price and convenience, it's so much easier than cooking and heating the house with the oven and the price of all the ingredients you'd need. Excellent meal and excellent deal. I went there yesterday with my daughter looking for our usual delicious meal. I was so disappointed. My daughter ordered the Shepard pie. It was very small with two dabs of mashed potatoes over a small amount of ground beef and vegetables and two slices of melt cheese on top. I ordered a Rubin that was so soggy that I had to use a knife and fork to eat it. The French fries weren't up to any restaurant standards. I made a to go order for my husband of a liverwurst sandwich. It was so salty that it wasn't inedible. It wasn't up to the usual standards of the last time we ordered it. We were seated immediately and the restaurant is nicely spaced out so it is comfortable Noise levels are not too bad. I ordered a Rachel sandwich while my wife ordered front eh breakfast menu waffles, egg, & bacon. My sandwich is fantastic. Payed in was the meat, Swiss, etc. The sides I got with it were coleslaw and onion rings. I suppose I truly don;t know what a "legit" Jewish deli restaraunt is like.....but I would imagine the food woudl be like this place! It's a pity how standards often translate to neglect. What I mean is that two jays has always been a staple and continues to deliver as excellent a product as is possible with the constant changing of tastes. Was therefore excellent breakfast this morning and certainly not one that the average person can consume in entirely. I swung by Too Jays to choose one of their scrumptious cakes for hubs bday. It was such a hard choice. I was stuck between their lovely red velvet, carrot cake, or banana dream among many other promising contenders. Ultimately I ended up with the banana dream as we are filled with banana bread and walnut lovers in my house. So either way I was coming out a winner or so I thought because it only lasted about 2 days in the fridge - despite it being a big cake - and they fought like savages for crumbs! To me the cakes are worth the price tag and its nice to see a loved ones face when you show up with it in hand. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their cakes and I always will recall the time it was gotten for me. A cake that brings a sweet feeling indeed. read more

The food is really good, nicely sized portions for a variety of appetites. Great for splitting or taking have to go for a second meal. On physically tiring days in the sun it's just the right portion size to get back out and going again. Everything we used to love about TooJays is gone, except the bakery. The beloved salmon with dill has been replaced by a tired, overcooked piece of fish with a fake orange sauce they call "hollandaise". Not even close. The mashed potatoes have no flavor. And even sadder, my burger-loving beau says the burgers have hit the skids as well. They're trying to scrimp of food costs and meanwhile are raising prices.
