If you're looking fresh, delicious, and flavorful food then you must try this Syrian food truck!…read more I don't think there is much Syrian specific options in the area. They are a food truck located behind a Smoke Shop on 17-92 in Longwood. We ordered the Double Arabi Shawarma. They cooked the shawarma fresh for us and the garlic sauce was top tier! We also ordered the dessert, it was like a rice pudding topped with cooked kunafa and pistachios, i love dessert and loved this!!! They were so friendly with top service and the ambiance was great with a beautiful lake view. We definitely plan to go again to try the Toshka and another version of the dessert!

We ordered the toshka, which is lamb meat with cheese and it comes with a garlic sauce, pickles, tomatoes and a little coleslaw for $14. Another item we ordered was the sujuk for $13. Of the two I preferred this one, it felt more filling. It's bread pressed with pickles, tomatoes and the same minced lamb filling that's in the toshka. You can make the sujuk a meal for an extra $2.50, it will come with fries and a soda. Everything we had tasted good but I felt like the portions were kind of small. The meat was a very thin layer and we both left feeling hungry still. I also didn't like that there was no actual menu in person, we already looked it up online, so we knew what we wanted but the menu doesn't share much details of what a "make it a meal" includes. For what we ordered it seemed to take a considerably long time to make, around 20 minutes. Overall it was nice to try something different, but I was unimpressed with the portion size for the prices.

The side of diced tomatoes that came with the kebab was surprisingly memorable -- I'm pretty sure those were the sweetest and juiciest I've ever had. I was excited to try the new hot mozzarella and it did not disappointed! These were thick planks of good quality mozzarella, deep fried and tossed in whichever spice level your little heat desires. I could eat them plain and be just as happy. My service was alright, but the rest of the group were not happy about theirs. Some strange and judgmental looks were exchanged. They were also a bit pushy when it came to purchasing drinks. Both of our cashiers asked at least 3 times if we wanted drinks and then acted like us getting water was an abomination. Not sure why wanting water is such a surprise, especially when you're eating spicy food. Will I be coming back to Dave's? Probably. To this location? Maybe not.
