This place was just....odd…read more We dropped in here for a super quick bite before going to the Cirque du Soleil show at the Florida Mall. We had exactly 35 minutes. We were the ONLY TWO PEOPLE in the restaurant. Should be plenty of time if we know what we want as soon as we sit, right? Wrong. It took most of those 35 minutes just to get the food, which was all appetizers, most of which were cold (as they were supposed to be). How long does it take to take something out of the fridge? And for the warm items, we could hear the microwave in back being used. I know microwaves can be a reality in restaurants, but come on, turn the sound off! We literally had to cram food in our mouths while signing our check and racing to the show. Also, the wine situation was sad. The items we wanted we kept getting informed they were out of. The owner/server was very nice, and you can tell this is a family establishment, but it was a little *too* family, if you know what I mean. I felt like I had dropped in my neighbors and was waiting for them to whip something up for surprise guests. All that being said, the food was good once it arrived, but I'm not sure we will be returning.

It is apparent that this is their restaurant and they care about it deeply. Had the special of the day (lamb shank) which could be the best lamb I've ever had. Also try their Lebanese beer "Almaza". I would highly recommend a stop here.

The décor is small and notably simple, but the food is what truly stands out. Everything was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and portions. We ordered a mixed platter and the hummus with shawarma--both were fantastic. The meat was flavorful, and the hummus was smooth and rich. Definitely a place we'd return to for a casual, satisfying meal.

We were greeted by a very nice young lady but she seemed surprised and somewhat taken back that we were there. She brought menus and asked for a beverage order. A coke and Diet Coke became an unknown brand in a small can served without ice. We ordered swarma sandwiches with fries and the beverage for an additional $3.50. When the orders arrived they were warm and very flavorful. We were still the only guests. Every table featured a Muslim table decoration that really made no difference to us but eventually we began to feel like we were strangers there. We noticed there were other folks in the kitchen and the waitress was not actually preparing our food. It was tasty and was spiced a little different than I have had before. The waitress brought our check on a portable card reader and I left our usual tip. We both felt a little out of place. The Yelp reviews were very positive but based on my search for middle eastern food in an area we have never been to, I was hoping for a more traditional food and service.

Upon entering, it definitely felt and smelled of a hookah joint. This was my first time ever going to a Hookah lounge as I only first ever went to one in Egypt, so the standard is kinda high for me lol. we went in a Sunday around 5:30-ish and the establishment opened at 4 PM. we were the first ones there so at first it was a bit awkward but TY broke the ice with his friendliness and charisma. TY took the time to explain us first timers the process of selecting the regular and ice base of the hookah and clarification of having more than one hookah and prices. he was very formidable and friendly which is what I loved about my experience overall. I selected the Peach flavor as it is very potent with the ice base hookah. Ice base let's you feel the flavor very potently. We shared it and it so happened that we made it during happy hour (5 through 7 I believe) so it was just $7.99 for the three of us - not bad! I also had shay (red tea) which reminded me so much of Egypt. The shay didn't have the green leaves but that's ok. The flavor and overall tea was yummy and fresh. The music process - really cool and personal. Since we were the first ones, we were able to connect one of our phones to the TV to play music. It really was personable and fun. I guess the ONLY negative feedback is that there were no paper towels in the bathroom, but air drying and soft patting on my jeans did the trick too. I can't wait to be back!!
