I finally tried Daddy's Chicken Shack, and it was great! I love when restaurants have kiosks where you can order on your own. It's so simple, and you can customize your order without confusing anyone. We ordered the Big Daddy's Meal, which comes with seasoned fries, a fountain drink, and your choice of sauce. I picked the Daddy's Sauce. Additional sauces are an extra charge. One sauce was enough for me. If you enjoy a kick of spice, there are some spicy chicken options and sauces. The chicken was tasty, crispy, and well-cooked. It is a small location. There is some indoor seating and also outdoor seating with umbrellas (much needed in this Florida heat). If you are in north Orlando, I recommend stopping by if you are looking for a tasty chicken sandwich. read more

I'd like to start off by saying the workers and service are top tier. Lovely lady at the cash register as well as the cooks etc. the ambiance of the place is also really nice. I ordered the waffle daddy and to say it was really good. The waffle and chicken was crispy and had good flavor. However the only thing that bothered me was the spatula bits I found in my food??? read more

Nobody was there to take my order. I had to pretty much go in the back to get someone to come up. They made the sandwich quick. It was hot and the food was okay. The sandwich was small and there are lots of other spots where you can go to get the same thing. read more

The loaded fries are BOMB. I have to say I was not a huge fan of the sliders they didn't have the same flavor as the sandwich we ordered which the sandwich was much better. Loved the flavor of the Nashville sandwich. The interior looks very clean and nice. Food came out quick. I don't have much to say about service since we took it to go. Will be coming back for the loaded fries and to try some of the other sandwiches. read more

Simple and fresh! Stopped in last minute to try this place since it recently opened and it did not disappoint! The customer service was FIRE!! Ty helped us and made some great recommendations since it was our first time in... and he is hilarious and so courteous and polite! We got a Nashville hot daddy, a spicy daddy and our friends got a slider sampler and Nashville hot and seasoned fries.... Super fresh, tasty, and the fries were piping hot and crispy! Got a few different sauces to dip too and they were all good! The restaurant is super clean and bright. Overall I will 100% be back, bonus for me if Ty is working! (Stella and Batman say "hey!") If you're hungry for a really good chicken sando stop in!! I can't wait to come back! read more

Salad is better than the Nuggets are better than the Chicken sandwich is better than the chicken fingers. Nuggets are on par with PDQ, but I'd say Daddy's has better sauces for sure. You can tell they use quality chicken, but not as flavorful of a sandwich as one would hope. Seasoned fries are worth ordering. And they make their salad mixed with the dressing - really nice mixture of ingredients in the salad as well. Better than the usual fare. read more

We were excited to try a new chicken option. Unfortunately, this one fell flat. After ordering two chicken sandwiches to go, we waited 20 minutes. Finally had to ask if our order was ready. The waffle chicken sandwich was pretty dry. If you like Arby's Curley fries, you will like the fries here. Restaurant is clean and in a great location. Overall the food was slightly better than OK. 3 stars. read more

We stopped in for lunch the other day and will be back for sure. The food was great! Magoos and Chick Fil A need to count their days. The fries are seasoned and were so good with the sour cream and chive dip. I had a regular (not spicy) chicken sandwich. My husband tried the cheese fries and loved them. This is the type of place that offers a touchscreen to order from when you walk in. It wasn't working properly when we stopped in so we did spend a bit messing with that. I would suggest ordering online ahead of time. read more

Made a pickup order about an hour ago. 1. Um is this chicken supposed to be pink inside and undercooked?????? Also, the couple bites I took prior to realizing the rawness had absolutely no flavor. Crispy outside, raw inside. 2. Asked for no pickles. There are pickles. 3. I'm pregnant, and turning on the lights to see the pinkness I'm biting into really pisses me off. I'm going to need a refund. I see that the owner replies to reviews on here, so let's see if it's computer automated or not. If I get sick from trying this place out, best believe Im going in and speaking with him. Literally the only good thing about the meal was the sprite I got ‍ read more

Wow I was so excited and so let down. The restaurant is clean and bright. Walking in there were others at the counter. We chose to use the self use kiosk. After ring up the whole order sides sauces drinks. The kiosk says it isn't in cinch with the POS and I need to order at the counter. The lady at the counter seemed clueless, no apology. Just said give me your order. The food took a long time to come to the table. The soda machine is not right it taste terrible. When we told the staff they just blew it off. The bun is a small bun from a fast food chain the fries are a copy of another fast food chain. The grilled chicken was flavorful, but it is so small it doesn't cover the bun maybe 2.5 of chicken.the bacon on my sandwich maybe a half strip burnt to a crisp. Broke into three pieces. The fried chicken breast was good. This food is very expensive. The quality is just not good. read more

We had a REALLY fantastic experience here on Sunday. We ended up ordering a flight and a Nashville hot sandwich and received some great recommendations from the staff as it was our first time. The Nashville Hot was the perfect heat while still having great flavor! After eating we shared that it might be the best tasting local chicken sandwiches we have ever had! We also lucked out that the store was cleared out around 3:00pm, so it was such a calm eating experience. Great ambiance! The staff checked in on us multiple times, grabbed ketchup for us, and even noticed the sun in my eyes and dropped a shade to help out! read more

They made it longer than I thought they would but that spot is just a one (year) and done spot for fast food joints. ‍

Ordered online since I was at work but I kept seeing this place posted on Facebook. I grabbed a kids meal since it was new but no I regret it! Chicken tenders were solid and well seasoned. Fries were good I'm sure even better without taking all the way back to work. Definitely want to try to Nashville tenders next time! I was much happier with their chicken compared to Huey Magoos! read more

Found this place recently while I was in the area on business. Didn't know what to expect. Wow, was I surprised. The crispy chicken sandwich was the best I've had in a long while. It was fresh and hot and crispy and moist. I had to wait for it but it was so worth it. The buttery toasted roll was another plus. Fresh and fluffy. The fries were seasoned but not over seasoned. Their sweet tea is very good, too. I made two trips here in one week and was not disappointed either time. I would recommend a visit here if in the area. read more

With the increase in chicken restaurants- it's a tough competition. You've got bojangles, millers, Dave's, chick fil a, kfc- and any of those options are better than daddy's in my opinion. Not sure if this is just growing pains but this chicken spot is dead last on my list. First off, placed an order online - and went into pick it up. No one at the register. The only 2 kiosks were out of order. There's a pick up window with a bunch of employees facing the opposite direction. Someone finally came to the window and said they were still getting our order ready. We waited an additional 10 minutes past the quoted pick up time and finally received our food. The wait was not worth it. The food was lackluster. We ordered the flight (classic, crispy and spicy) and the Nashville daddy meal. No seasoning on the chicken. Had to douse it in sauce for any flavor. It had a small smear of remoulade sauce and absolutely no Nashville heat. The breading was separating. The sandwiches looked like a slop trough. Just poor presentation. Poor quality. poor service. The fries are good though and the renovations are nice. read more

It's impressive to see what they've done with the location, looks completely new and on theme. We went after the grand opening so I'm sure this has to do with our experience. We ordered a simple dinner of tenders, fries, sauce & some sliders. The team member at the counter was very nice & we liked the styrofoam cups. When the food came out, to our surprise it was cold, and soggy. I brought the tenders up and asked for them to be remade. When the team member brought it back to the kitchen. Everyone in the kitchen huddled around the basket, the chef took a bite and shook his head. So I just waited and sat down, no mention of an apology or anything really. Once the chicken came back it was great. We ended up just not eating the sliders because of them being cold & the experience we had after bringing up the other chicken. Overall it was okay, needs some quality control especially so close to open. read more

This place is about to give e chick-fil-a some fierce competition. I had one of the best Nashville hot sandwiches I have ever eaten. The loaded fries were great paired with the dipping sauces. I can't wait to eat here again I was on vacation to the Sanford area and happen to pass this lovely establishment the atmosphere and people they employ are world class !!!! The extreme attention to detail was instantly recognizable to one of a Michelin star chicken shack or one that's in the Mississippi delta, the chicken they make here is the best I've ever had and I've had it all over what was most noticeable tho was not only the upmost quality of food but the way the food was prepared I'm taking time out of my day as a busy executive to praise this establishment as they have made my taste buds tingle like never before I would highly highly recommended this place to anyone in need of a succulent chicken delight that not only tops the charts of competitors from the Deep South to the ranks of Michelin star chefs this is the place to eat !!!!!!!!!!! read more

I ordered online for pickup. When I got there at the time they said it would be ready, they had not even started to make the food. There was only one other person in the restaurant - who was also waiting on their order. I liked that they have antibiotics free chicken - but it is also flavorless chicken. At least a little salt would help. The got the family meal with 4 sliders. I choose one of each. The 2 non spicy tasted the same and the 2 spicy tasted the same. I have no idea what sandwich was which. The fries were just frozen blah fries. They get a 2 stars for having better quality chicken, but the lack of taste will keep me from going back. There was also not even - Sorry for the wait. read more

First visit. Ordered American Daddy, fries, and drink. Food was good, prices were reasonable, service was mostly good. Great quiet location (no busy highway only a few feet away) with outdoor seating available in a parking lot filled with trees. A number of indoor tables needed to be cleared and cleaned, but at least they did that before I finished and left. Although employees were friendly, they asked that I leave positive reviews online. I don't go for that, minus a star because of fishing for positive reviews, and minus a star for a dirty restaurant. Everything else was great and I will be back though. read more

Food was very tasty and really good quality. The portion sizes vs price was spot on. I have to mention that my son has a wheat allergy. It is very hard for us to eat out as a family due to that. But the team we had provided excellent customer service in double checking and making sure that the food we ordered for him was completely wheat free. They were kind, knowledgeable, and all food was made fresh to order. Definitely recommend coming here! I know it'll be a staple for us in the future. read more

Where do I start,I was so excited to try daddy chicken shack finally I was able too, at first glance the restaurant appearance was nice but you know what they say never judge a book by its cover, the menu was small and easy to understand so we ordered 2x crispy simple daddy combo and 8c popcorn chicken meal,We got our food pretty fast and the food was fresh but the sandwich was horrible and bland the breading came of the chicken and was hard, the popcorn chicken were bland and had no flavor as well but I will say the fries were the only good and flavorful thing that we ordered. Sorry, daddy's chicken shack but this was a horrible experience. read more

Love this new addition to Lake Mary, perfect for a quick bite, they have great food and I love the ginger mayo... I would say they still have a few kinks to work out, because all though everything I have eaten has been good, there has been inconsistencies...At times it is cooked perfectly and others it has been overcooked, at times the ginger mayo is delicious, but the last 2 times, it has tasted like there is no ginger flavor to it at all. But overall good!!! read more

Very clean on the inside and the workers kept updating customers which I appreciated. The spice level of the food was where it fell short. The most exciting item I had were the fries that were crispy. However the SPICY sandwich lacked spice, tasted like regular chicken. The jalapeño ranch tasted like regular ranch. The tenders on level 'hot' had 0 spice to them. I was disappointed and drove a far way to try this. read more

Dropped in for dinner since they were open. Pre-grand opening. Had one of their waffle chicken sandwiches. Ordered at the counter, the employee was friendly and polite. She took my order promptly and accurately. It appeared that the back of the house staff was not up to speed as the leader was repeatedly heard calling out orders and directions emphasizing customers were waiting. Heard someone saying that one of the fryer's was not working resulting in delays. Being patient to allow the staff to prepare orders. Took about 8 maybe 10 minutes for my order to be brought to my table. It was plated well. However, the food was as follows. The seasoned fries were just warm. Aside from the temperature, they were unimpressive. The waffle was very dense. Its heavy texture made it feel tough. The chicken breading easily separated from the chicken. Seasoning was very mild. The chicken breast was underwhelming. You only get one opportunity to make a good first impression. I won't be rushing to return there. Maybe in a few months time. As for the dining area, it was clean and condiments stocked. The air conditioning was slightly colder than comfortable. Especially toward the back of the dining area. This is solely my opinion. I fully understand that others have different opinions and I respect that. Take my review on its own merits. My primary intention is to let the staff know my experience so they can decide what, if any changes are needed. read more

Really wanted to like this place... not sure about the positive reviews unless it was just an off night for us. Ordered the waffle sandwich, regular chicken sandwich, 4 nashville hot tenders, and seasoned fries. The chicken itself is juicy and cooked properly... that's about the only thing positive I can say. The chicken is not crispy, not in the least, and the extremely thin layer of breading falls off. Barely any flavor (except for the Nashville). The waffle was bland... advertised as a funnel cake waffle... no flavor and really needed another 3-4 minutes cooking time. The fries were crispy, fresh and hot... but again zero seasoning... literally not even a speck of salt, let alone any sort of "seasoning". The sauces are pretty good... which is important for a chicken tender/sandwich restaurant. Service was great, restaurant is very clean. Did take a little longer than expected but I have absolutely no issues with that as long as the end product is worth it. Overall, we weren't impressed and this will be on the bottom of the list to eat at in the future. Fried chicken - of any kind - should be crispy and flavorful, with a strong breading. Unfortunately this was not. Hope they figure it out. read more

there's always a long long, wait time. Empty or not. it's extremely complicated to order a simple fried chicken sandwich with some heat. I explained my order three times. And they got it wrong. The order taker is the rudest and slowest. Last visit she did not add my sauces in my to go bag after taking 5 minutes to take my 2 entree order. When I went back in to retrieve my sauces before grabbing them she answered the phone and proceeded to have a 10 minute conversation while I waited. I had to ask another employee to which she replied rudely I'm getting them. Today I returned and once again she was flippant, even calling me rude upon me making her aware my order was not correct. Her reply, "well you don't have to be so rude that's why I'm repeating the order". She needs to attend Grace school and get a bit more efficient on the computer. read more
