After all the hype, I finally went to try the "famous cheesesteak". Great location, Parking was ok for 3:00 on a thursday but probably gets full on busy mealtimes. decent seating inside and out. The guy at the counter who took my order was hard to understand, but was able to explain the options I had. I got an 8" philly cheese and an 8" italian. The Cheese steak was hot and fresh but thats about it. Not much cheese, not much flavor and the bread was a bit gummy. I would give it a 5.1 out of 10. the italian sub was filled with cold cuts and dressed nice...but the bread? brought it from a7.5 down to a 6.5 IMO. For what it was and looking at the other menu Items, it's a bit over-priced for what i got. $14 for the mid" cheese steak and $13 for an 8" italian similar to Publix .... not for me. My husband has been talking about LaSpada's for years. He use to come to this location as a kid so we decided to stop in for lunch. Cute little building with inside and outside seating. You order at the counter and food is made to order. We got the cheesesteak and a grilled chicken wrap. Both were made to order with fresh ingredients. First off the Handicap spots were taken over by 3 Motorcycles only 2 left of the entrance. I ordered the basic Philly Chez onions mushrooms 8". I live close enough went home for lunch and took 2 bites of the sandwich then gave it to my dog to eat and he wasnt impressed. This is a sketchy spot , very dirty inside, grills are gross and the sandwich had no steak just a Ny Bodega Chop chez sandwich worth 3.50$ with bad ingredients. Wow! I ordered the Deluxe Italian Mini. I was worried when I saw the size options (mini, small, & large) but it was plenty - I couldn't even eat half of the "mini"! The sweet peppers were out of this world! The cheese fries were an excellent side. My husband ordered a large chicken cheesesteak with cheese curds. The cheese curds were perfect! He complained about the chicken being in pieces, but other than that small preference it was great. The amount of food for the price is amazing! We have been coming here since we moved to the area in 2012, and I grew up on LaSpada's in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, and today was the most disappointing sandwich I have ever had from them. The lunch special had almost zero meat on the Italian special. It definitely didn't look or taste like the sandwiches we usually get, it was very sad and very disappointing. The rolls aren't the same. This is the second sandwich in a row I have ordered "all the way with all the peppers" and not gotten a single pepper. I will consider one more visit, but the LaSpada's I once knew and loved may be gone forever. read more

Would give 0 stars if I could. This restaurant does not deserve the LaSpada's name. It does not at all compare or hold up to the standards of the other locations. Let's start with the horrible food quality. If JimmyJohns made a lunchable, this would be worse...The bread tasted like the lunchable bread... disgusting white bread that tastes sour and stale. The meat is also not the same used in other locations, this is like supper low quality meat. The sandwich was absolutely not loaded with meat either, it was just very disappointing. They did not even let you choose other types of cheeses. They also put almost no lettuce and maybe like a quarter of a slice of tomato... -10000 out of 10. The location was dirty, the floors were sticky and the kitchen did not look clean. The parking lot has so many holes and the building looks like it's falling apart. You would have thought that alone would have deterred me from coming inside, but I had to see how this LaSpada's made their hoagies. The customer service was also horrible. The lady running the place had a negative attitude. You would think a small and not really busy place would be accommodating to a request from a paying customer... but no... I've been hitting this place for about a year or so when I'm driving through Sanford and it's usually pretty packed it with the COVID-19 going on their seating is very very minimal. Nevertheless I made my way to the counter and made my order. The medium hoagie with ham & turkey and banana peppers . Outstanding to say the least and holy smokes the portions are always more Thani can eat and usually end up eating the other half for dinner. The delt always slices everything to order so it is always fresh. The fries were smokin hot as well. My total for a medium with fries and a small coke was $13 with taxes. We came here for a quick lunch while waiting for some car maintenance to be finished down the street. We were surprised by the large menu and different options besides Philly Cheesesteaks. We ordered the BLT sandwich, sweet potato fries, mushroom cheesesteak, curly fries, and a fountain drink. The food came out in a relatively quick time and everything tasted amazing. Great chesse steak sub I had the mushroom cheese steak packed with meat on a great sub roll. The fries were cripy the service was friendly and super fast. The only compaint would be the beverages the ice tea tadte stale or powdered one. The soda choices are very generace. They have soda in a fountain film your self. I have been to this place twice. I have to say that my husband and I were very disappointed with the Italian sub. It had so much meat on it that you couldn't close the bread. The roll is what I like best and you couldn't close the role. They slice their meats pretty thick. We like meat that is sliced thin. They also don't slice their onions, they use chopped onions which is kind of weird for a sub. It just didn't have that good Italian flavor. They are spot on with their rolls, but it is not like a true Philly Italian hoagie. I have to say that they have the best steak sub in town. Full of meat! The Sanford location is the best one overall but the customer service is sometimes gruff and parking is tight. Orange City tried to squeak out a $3.00 tip for themselves which I did not do, be sure to check your statement or pay cash. Amazing cheesesteaks. I had known about this place for a while but finally decided to try it out. I recommend you do the same. I was a little hesitant about their choice of white American cheese instead of provolone, but damn if they didn't hand me a cheesesteak that easily grabbed first place on the "best I've ever had" poll I have going on in my brain. They had a very good selection of other food as well for those in your party who might want something else. Our group also ordered a BLT and a kid's hot dog, and both were delicious. But the cheesesteak is why you come to this out-of-the-way place in Orange City. The bread is fresh...the meat is high-quality...the accompanying ingredients (onion, pepper, etc) are great...the portions are extremely generous...and the atmosphere/smell is EXACTLY what you want from a cheesesteak/hoagie restaurant. I found this place while visiting Orange City. From the outside, the place looks like most in that region. The menu is very basic which is what I expected. The staff were friendly and helpful. I ordered the 8 inch cheese steak combo, which was about $10. There was an option for the 10 inch steak but I opted for the smaller one. The meal came out fairly quickly. The sandwich was decent. Nothing over the top but was good enough to eat for a quick lunch. It also came with fries and a drink. I would suggest staying out of the bathroom. I went in there and it was extremely hot. It is obvious they have no AC in there. The toilet and urinal were not very clean. I am glad I went in there after my meal or I probably would have not eaten here. read more

How can two places with the same name be so different? Gross... just gross compared to the other location....and seems dirty.
