Oh my!!! The Zuppa Tuscana is WONDERFUL!! I don't like sausage,,,but I loved it in this soup. The soup was totally home made and SPECTACULAR!! Service is superior and lighting better than most places. I've been to about 15 restaurants in Deland and stumbled upon Dobro's. It is now #1 on my Deland list. I had lunch today with 2 of our friends and wanted to try the Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. My wife had soup and salad and our friends ordered the DDP Special with salad. I had a draft beer and the Deep Dish Pizza. The pizza was good but it sure wasn't like Chicago. It looked like it but the consistancy and taste was differant. All and all Dobros is a good restaurant, very busy after lunch crowd. I will go back again but will order other things off the menu. read more

Just moved to the area and this place is our pizza fix!! The Chicano deep dish is excellent, fried cheese Devine and chicken fettuccine is to die for. We usually do take out but are in once and service was outstanding and fun! The restaurant is truly a gem. Friends of ours have been talking about this place for quite a long time. It was a little different than I expected. It's kind of hidden away, but I tell you what it's definitely worth it. I had the chicken Marcella and the soup of the night. And I tell you what they were Great. The wife had stromboli and our friends had spaghetti with meatballs everything was good. The lime vinegret salad dressing was awesome says the wife. We will definitely be back and we would definitely suggest a stop at this restaurant. read more

I bought the large size deep dish Chicago style pie. This is the traditional style, sauce tangy and atop the mozzarella cheese. Crust was good but not flaky-pastry style so i docked a star. Truly should be 4.5/5 cause the pizza was pretty good and only because i have been many times to various restaurants in Chicago and even pizza Papalis in Detroit i prefer pastry flaky crust. I was having a bad day and my husband wanted to take me to dinner. The hard part is I am gluten free. He searched and found Dobro's. THEY HAVE A GLUTEN FREE MENU!!!! The staff was amazing.. I mean the entire wait staff. My husband had the andouille sausage beer cheese soup. He scraped the bowl. I had a nice salad. Thank goodness it was NOT iceberg lettuce. A nice spring mix. Then our meal came out. My pasta primavera was perfect. I almost forgot I was eating gluten free noodles. My husband's normal pasta cooked to perfection. All I can say is that this is some of the best Italian food I've had. My husband got the pizza, which was amazing. I got the gluten free eggplant parmigiana. Let me tell you, I make my own. Pretty good pizza. We ordered the Chicago pizza which I didn't realize meant they make it upside down in the sense that the cheese is underneath and the sauce is on top. Dobro's is a quality pizza place here in town. Besides typical deep dish Chicago pizza, they have a great hand tossed option as well. Although their largest size is only a 12 inch, it's still really good. They have many options to choose from besides pizza as well. All very yummy. Their customer service is great as well. They are very quick to fix an issue if one occurs. I cannot speak for eating at the restaurant as we always do take out. It seems they have a good sit down service as it is always pretty full when I go in to pick up. read more

I love coming here when we visit our Grandfather. The food is delicious, one of my favorite places to eat in DeLand. The pastas are always good, but the pizza is the best! The deep dish pizza is amazing, the crusty is crunchy and doughy at the same time. Each pasta meal comes with a side salad or a soup. The soup changes daily so you never know what's on the menu for that day, but whatever it is I'm sure it will be good. They also have great bread sticks they bring out before the meal and it's super yummy too. My favorite thing is the Fried Ravioli, wow those are soooo good, I just wished more came to an order! The service is so great! The servers are so friendly and accommodating to my Grandpa, they even know him by name. He's particular about garlic and the kitchen is very accommodating to it. There is plenty of parking, there are few tables in there though. There are some tables outside as well too. They have a side door, that Grandpa likes to use, because it's easier for elderly people. Absolutely incredible restaurant! The breadsticks and alfredo, hand tossed pizzas, and fried cheesecake are all to die for! The people who work here all work together and come around and check in on the tables. A very homey atmosphere, kind people and good food. There is a vase of fresh flowers on every table. Very clean and just a wonderful place to grab dinner. They're very efficient, it doesn't take long to get seated or get your meal. Would recommend over most italian restaurants in the area! Also, The bathrooms are incredibly clean here! I haven't seen a public restroom that nice in ages. My great gran always said clean bathroom, clean kitchen. I have been going to this Marcos since it opened. He also started screaming at me to remove the diaper from my face and I have been brainwashed repeatedly. He also stated he cannot hear me since he is deaf in one ear yet there was another employee standing there and he could hear me from the other ear or I could have provided him my driver license. Obviously by his comments about a diaper on my face and being brainwashed he had other issues. I contacted the franchise dept and they could care less.

I ordered, a buffalo chicken wrap, shocker lol and my husband got a hot Italian sub. Let's just say this man was so happy with his sub and blushed the whole time eating it. We're both from MA and had a pizza place near us that had 2 items we have never found a replacement for in the 10 years we've been here; their pizza and their Italian subs. Until today. The bread was perfectly soft on the inside but had a good crunch on the outside. The meats were super fresh and perfectly toasted. As their name suggests, wraps appeared to be their specialty. Customers order at the counter. The staff was pleasant and friendly. They brought our food to our table when it was ready. We selected the Southwest Veggie wrap. It was a combination of fresh greens, salsa, tomato, avocado, onion, and bell pepper wrapped in a green spinach tortilla. It included chipotle dressing that added a little heat. It hit the spot. The food was brought quickly to our table. There were larger tables in the lobby. Overall, we were pleased with this experience.
