This place makes their food with love. I go here every other day. And the service is amazing.

Thank you for great and speedy service! If you want to buy some food from people who enjoy their work and make great food, look no further!

This is what $6 got me. Supposed to be a western omelet and toast with Cream Cheese. $1 cream cheese.

The Briarpatch is definitely my favorite place in Central Florida for brunch!…read more Something to keep in mind for my visitors from out of town-- on the weekends, parking and lines can be pretty crazy. Briarpatch doesn't take reservations for brunch, but don't worry. I truly have never seen a walk-in line move so quickly! With a line out the door, and even sometimes around the corner, I have never waited more than 20 minutes for a table. Their staff is quick and efficient. Inside, it truly feels like a diner in NYC! There is plenty of patio seating as well, so I know I will be taking advantage of that when the weather cools down here in Florida! Looking for something savory? The short rib benedict is PHENOMENAL!!! Such a creative take on a classic eggs benedict; and packed with flavor. Sweet? The raspberry & brie french toast is my favorite thing on the menu. It is thick cut brioche bread stuffed with raspberry jam & brie cheese. I usually come with a friend, we get one of each of those entrees, and split it! I can never decide!! Keep in mind that the potions are HUGE. You can easily share with a friend!

You could genuinely taste the intentionality in every bite. Be prepared for a long wait on the weekends, as they don't take reservations, but honestly, once you get your food, you understand why. The quality definitely made the wait worthwhile. If you're looking for a brunch spot where quality comes before rushing people in and out, this is one to add to your list. Come hungry, bring a little patience (on the weekend), and enjoy!

However, they always have fun creations popping up in their case. Some fan favorites are the Mango Sticky Rice Tart and literally any of their pop tarts. The staff is kind and efficient. There's usually a line out the door. However, we never wait longer than 15 minutes to get the goods. The space is definitely small on the customer end inside. However, they have plenty of outdoor seating that's perfect for hanging out with friends on a Sunday morning. Literally one of my favorite spots. Thank you Buttermilk for being THAT girl.

I have been a Buttermilk Bakery fan for well over a decade. Until this last weekend…read more I got online at 8:15 in the morning to place my order. Each item that I selected came up with a message that read, "Our store is not currently accepting orders." I tried again a few minutes later. Then again. And again. And again. I tried to call and received a voicemail that stated a different number. At 8:50am, the option to order seemed to be back up and running. I ordered five items, including the Roasted Tomatoes & Goat Cheese Quiche. For context: I live 45 minutes away from Buttermilk Bakery. It used to be on my way to work but, as of a few years ago, that is not the case anymore. So, it is now a special occasion destination. Reserved only for weekends when I can make the trip. More context: I have been raving to one of my closet friends for years about how much I love this place. My most emphatic musings have been about the quiche. Today, since she and I were planning an afternoon poolside, I thought that I would surprise her with an assortment of Viennoiserie and other items. At 10:36am, I received a call from Buttermilk. The woman on the phone informed me that they had run out of the quiche. How?!? Once the website was working, I was able to place my order quickly and the item didn't even read, "Low stock." I know that this is a small problem in a world full of large problems, but the thing that really set me off is that when I arrived at the store, the person in line in front of me asked for the Strawberry Buttermilk Pie. He was told that they were out of stock. He was pleasant in stating that there appeared to be slices in the refrigerator case. The girl behind the register told him that they were being held for online orders. When it was my turn, I stated that no one had held my slice of quiche. She blandly said, "I am sorry," and proceeded. I then stated that I was unhappy and had driven some distance. She asked if I would like something else. I responded that the person on the phone had simply told me that I would receive a refund. I then asked for the girl to check on my refund. She said it was not processed yet. So, I said that I would wait. She needed to ask for help to process the refund. She wasn't nasty to me, but she did not care one iota. My effort and subsequent inconvenience meant nothing. I wonder if my refund would even have been processed had I not asked. My friend and I thought the pastries that we received were fine, but she is fitness-minded and was hesitant to indulge in so many carbs without the rich protein that the quiche would have provided. And, yet, more context: This happened once before. With the quiche. Maybe a year ago. Though, that time, I believe it was a butternut squash quiche. My husband needed to be in the area, so he suggested that he pick-up at Buttermilk. When he arrived, he was told that there would be no quiche. No call. No nothing. He didn't think to ask for a refund and we never received one. That time, I simply thought, "Well, accidents happen." This time, I think that I received very shoddy service. I felt very disrespected. I felt unseen. I have loved this place, but I am so disappointed.

Already dreaming about going back for these. Along with the hot cakes, I'm also dreaming about the green salsa with chips that they bring out in the beginning. It is so refreshing and not spicy at all for those sensitive to spice like me! If you are sensitive to spice, something great to know for their brunch plates is that they will absolutely work with you to swap out salsas when possible to take the spiciness down a notch. The service was also great - our waitress made great recs and made sure our table was well taken care of. One thing to note: on weekends, they do get pretty busy even with a reservation, but if you are willing to sit outside, the wait may be much shorter. Overall, loved the brunch food and looking forward to trying their regular menu as well!

The extra attention given to plating and the customer service put our dining experience over the top. We will definitely return! Elegant, glossy, and almost too pretty to eat. Almost. Taste & Texture: 4/5 -- This cake is RICH rich. My only little "ehhh" was the texture of the glaçage drip. Personally, it wasn't my favorite mouthfeel--but listen, that did NOT stop my fork from continuing its ministry. If you like your chocolate cake dark, decadent, rich, and a little sexy... baby, this is the move. Basically, this isn't "lemme grab a little piece of cake." It featured tofu (the menu says almond crusted, but it wasn't), house made lentil sausage, buttermilk ranch dressed kale, spicy aioli, on a brioche bun. It was SO good and I would absolutely order it again. 10/10 vegetarian option. We also got the herbed chicken salad panini and, again, super impressed! It's on toasted sourdough and came with our choice of side (oven baked sweet potatoes). The chicken salad itself was full of herbs and stood out! The sweet potatoes were also spiced and were a treat, not an afterthought. I loved the aioli dip that came with them and found myself dipping everything in it! I also got a matcha and an iced cortado. The matcha was fab- with a seasonal blueberry syrup. The coffee was actually a bit of a disappointment. It tasted burnt and we didn't love it. Quick shoutout to Matt at the counter who was a GEM when we were making our brunch picks. A friendly staff member can really elevate an experience!! Finally, they carry really good natural wines. I know because I've had those bottles at Golden Hour in Baldwin Park and they are standouts. Next time, I'm grabbing some wine!
